EXT. ROYAL WOODS FOREST CENTRAL - DAY

In the middle of the Day, she can be seen alone with a yellow puff ball with a broken halo and seared wings drying herself with a towel that she received as a miracle. She was happily humming a song while drying her fur and wings. As she dried herself, she looked over to the small lake that she found that was the perfect place to take a bath in. No germs, no fish to gunk up the water, clear blue waves on the water… It was perfect.

'Well, no use in waiting now… I've gotten enough time, but at least this will be relaxing' Keenie thought. Out of nowhere, she heard rustling in the bushes and jumped a little bit. 'Huh… must be the squirrels… still, wouldn't hurt to ask…'

"Anybody there?"

She shouted out to whatever… or whoever was hiding in the bushes. She wasn't very worried about being caught at all. Her number one excuse was that she was cosplaying as a character from a show, an activity she was actually fascinated by deeply ever since she discovered what it was. To give yourself a new identity and play as a new role was something that always intrigued her.

No rustlings were heard.

She stands not corrected as her suspicions were true, they were just squirrels.

"Hehe, funny little creatures"

She said with a smile on her face.

While she may not be the one that likes to go to different places or explore much, she definitely likes the aspects that comes from said exploration. Even if it just means finding small animals or creatures, she was always happy when she saw one.

But she shook her head and stopped thinking about elements that might distract her from her me time. She wanted a clear head to do this… she hasn't taken a clean bath in over two months, so she was definitely very happy to know that she can finally take a good bath. She bought a bar of soap with the big stash of money that the mysterious figure gave her yesterday, and a brush to take the mats off her fur. Cletus and Collin were definitely going to give her a handful when it comes to money, so she decided she was going to spend some now so they don't go haywire later.

Then, she smiled. The mysterious figure that saved her from all sorts of ailments yesterday. They saved her from hunger… thirst… freezing… they really were her hero. She swore that she would find them one day, and she won't go back on that promise. It's something that she feels like she has to do. She can't give a life saving… and life changing event go unrewarded like that. She shook her head again, and decided to think about this later, right now… she just wanted to relax, get herself clean and refresh her kind from all sorts of nasty thoughts.

She slowly started taking off her dress. It was hard to get off of, since it stuck to her fur like glue. She had to pry the soft fabric from herself very harshly, which made her 'meep' in pain. She could've sworn she heard clumps of her fur make a 'rip' sound as she took her dress off her legs.

But, man… she looked absolutely disgusting. She had lumps of mud and dirt everywhere on her body, especially on her chest. She tried plucking some of the mud from her chest, and she wasn't going to lie when she said that the pain was excruciating. It felt utterly terrible; like, getting shot with a bazooka would hurt less than trying to remove the mud from her chest.

She decided to just let the mud wash away in the lake later, as she moved on to remove her gloves. Her gloves took most of the damage. They were ripped, dirt, wet, smelly and just completely disgusting at the state they were in. This made her sad, since they were a gift from someone that meant a lot to her in the past.

"Sorry, Mother… I couldn't protect the one thing you left behind"

She said in a saddened tone, knowing that repairing them was almost impossible. They were gold infused gloves that were blessed by the holy lord himself, and now they were done for. If she wanted them to be repaired, she needed a heavenly armor smith, and in the state that she was in now, that wasn't going to happen anytime soon. She felt naked without her gloves… indecent at best.

Before she could reminisce more about her long gone mother, and her now broken gloves, she heard more rustling in the bushes.

The rustles these times were harsh, and the bushes were moving in a more erratic tone.

'Those are definitely not squirrels…'

Before she could call out to whatever was spying on her in such a sensual time, she heard a gasp coming from the same bushes.

Something wasn't spying on her… someone was spying on her.

Before she could react, she covered herself with her now taken off dress, and acted accordingly.

"You creep! How dare you spy on a lady in such a private time!"

It's not like she had a lot to show off. Most of her body is covered by either her fur or mud, so she actually didn't care whether she was seen without her dress or not… she just doesn't like to be spied on by peeping toms trying to find enjoyment in the cluelessness of an oblivious damsel.

Before she could react, the shadow already took off. She could spot something in said shadow. Something familiar…

'Wait… it can't be…'

She couldn't help but be curious… Was that the same human that saved her yesterday? The same one that left the food, drinks and money? Was he really a Peeping Tom?

She looked at the place he left off with a deadpan face and stretched her wings.

'Well I'm not going to wait around and find out'

Now that most of the mud from her wings were gone, she could finally fly again.

"Let's do this!"

She charged up her legs in anticipation, and with one big leap… took off and started flying in the sky. Albeit, not very high; some of the mud that was still dry on her wings was impeding her from flying any harder, but it was better than nothing.

"Oh, girls! I'm sorry for what I said yesterday, I never want you off my back! I'll never say anything like that ever again!"

She said cuddling to her still filthy wings.

"I can show you more love later, but right now… we have a pervert to catch"

She looked at the direction the shadow went and proceeded to fly towards that place at high speeds.

'It's one thing peeping on a lady's body… but no one will peep on a holy spirit's person!'

She looked around everywhere she could see. The landscape flipped and scrolled through her vision at a fast pace. She was going to find this person and she was going to get answers from them. She wasn't a particularly vengeful person, but she gets very annoyed when it comes to people disturbing her private time. She really, really, really hated it. So she continued to fly for as long as she could, until she found a big clue as to where the person was. She smirked as she saw a strand of hair on a tree.

The person looked to be a teenager. Brown hair, blue eyes, tan skin. He was wearing a black shirt that said 'Eat My Ass' and was wearing khaki shorts with green sneakers. He was hiding in the tree, hoping that the lady he was looking at in the lake wasn't going to find him.

'I'll be fine here… I think he has a hopeful and cautious attitude. He wasn't one to spy on women… but he is the one to explore and see different places… so if the opportunity arose out of nowhere, he took it without hesitation.

"Heya!" A voice was heard.

He screamed as he turned around and saw her standing on the tree branch he was hiding in. Before he could react, he fell from the tree...a very high tree… a very, very, very high tree. Even he was surprised by how big the tree was. He was sure he was going to die from the height… so he accepted his fate.

He looked at the ground, closed his eyes and prayed. For who? He wasn't sure, he wasn't particularly religious, but still… he prayed as if there was no tomorrow… which in his case, there wasn't even going to be a next hour.

He waited…

And kept waiting…

Silence…

Okay where was the splat? He felt nothing happen yet. No squish, no splat, no hard sensation of death in his wake… absolutely nothing.

He decided to open his eyes and see where he was.

He wasn't on the ground, but he was slowly going down. He actually thought that his prayers were answered and he got the miracle of flight, but his suspicions were rapidly deconfirmed as he felt someone grabbing his shirt collar. He looked up and saw who it was.

It was the lady that he was peeping on.

"Careful, kid! You take a fall like that and it's going to be one big OWIE you know!" She chuckled.

He swore she was flying… but he noticed that she was grabbing onto a vine that was tied from the tree… almost with no force behind it either.

He just stared at her with awe, and at that moment, he felt grateful that she was there… and also afraid…

'She's definitely going to kill me' He cried in his head. Saying that he was scared was an understatement… he was straight about to piss his pants. He was seriously contemplating fight or flight at that very moment, but he knew that if he moved now, he was going to suffer a bigger injury if she let him go. So he decided to just roll with the situation at that very same point in time.

After a slow climb down from the vine, Keenie finally got the kid down on the ground, as the teen started caressing the gras as if it was his best friend. She stood up and watched his little performance and laughed.

"You really did miss the ground huh, kid?" She couldn't help but snicker at her own comment. The teenager just looked at her and snickered himself, although very bashfully.

"Y...yeah, a little bit" he said embarrassedly. The lady wasn't really wearing anything, he saw her undress… but he was sure that that 'fur' like undergarment she had on was a separate part of her skin… at least he hoped it was.

"Haha, yeah!" She kept laughing.

After a while, the kid couldn't help but laugh with her.

They laughed, and they laughed, and they laughed… almost for what it felt like an entire day there…

It was pretty funny…

Until Keenie stopped laughing and put on a stern face. The sudden change of tone from the room knocked the kid out of his laughing fit, as he saw the maddened stare the lady was giving him. And before he could say anything…

SLAP

A big red hand mark was formed in his face almost immediately after the laughing stopped. The hard hit knocked him back a few feet as he was sent flying. He got his grounding again and was able to shake away the discombobulation from the slap that the lady just gave him. It really did hurt… and it stung way more than it should have… almost as if her hand was lit on fire… or if it was covered in bee venom… maybe he was exaggerating.

The rough and tense atmosphere stayed for longer than he would have thought when the lady just kept staring at him with a harsh stare as he rubbed his face cheek with the hand mark on it.

After a few seconds of silence, she finally decided to cut the tension.

"And what makes you think that a good laugh was going to save you from my judgement, eh?" She said in a very condescending tone. She didn't really mean it to sound like that, but she couldn't help it, she was still really annoyed.

She got peeped on, and her private time was ruined by some random kid.

"What?" He said back to her in confusion.

"You know exactly what I mean, buster!" She signaled to her dress wrapped around her waist. While her chest and backside were covered heavily in fur, her front groin region definitely wasn't. Deerie was very adamant about keeping herself trimmed, and would brag to the other cherubs about her cleanliness… so Keenie decided to follow her footsteps… and man was she regretting it now.

'Damn you, Deerie… worst idea you've ever gotten! And even worse for me for taking your idea in mind' She thought bashfully.

Even then, she decided to keep her 'mean mom' demeanor on standby. Don't get her wrong, she wasn't really angry… just irritated. She just kept looking at him with a disappointed-angry, as his eyes widened to what she was implying. He started scratching his head with his free hand as his other one softly rubbed his cheek.

"I...I'm really sorry, miss! I just couldn't handle myself!" He said in a very embarrassed tone, knowing that he was in very… very, deep trouble.

"Really, huh? You couldn't handle being a little pervert and look at a woman's body while she was trying to have some private time?" She returned again with a condescending tone, slowly smirking… she'll admit it, she couldn't help but find this entertaining.

But… he was having odd thoughts. Not perverted or lustful thoughts… but odd thoughts that piqued his interests in ways he didn't actually think was possible… okay, maybe he's being dramatic, but for real though… What in the hay was she?

He looked at her from top to bottom and was deeply concerned to what exactly she was. The color of her hair was a clear yellow, and she had big eyes with… a muzzle? What concerned him more was the fact that the color of her hair and the color of her "undergarments" were literally the same… as if it was fur.

In his mind, if he had to guess… he would've guessed that she was a sheep of some sort… but human? It was weird?

She noticed his eyeing and was deeply disturbed that she was literally being checked out by what looked like a fifteen year old boy. She quickly caught his attention by snapping her fingers.

"Hey kid, my eyes are up here, don't you think you've seen enough?" She exclaimed again in a condescending voice. She doesn't care if she sounds mean, but she is not going to be eyed like a wolf staring at its sheep prey. The last thing she wants to be thought of, or looked as, as if she was some piece of meat.

The kid looked at her again with embarrassment and started apologizing.

"S...sorry, Miss! I'm just a bit confused… with… you know… what exactly are you?" He questioned. She looked at him as if he was crazy or something, and raised a brow.

"And what does that mean?" She said, making it seem as if she was mad and or exasperated… but in reality, she was having fun in this situation. Nothing good has been happening for her and her friends ever since they were… exiled… so this is more fun than she ever thought of.

"You know! Like… why is your fur and you… you know" he signaled to her 'undergarments' "the same color?"

"What? Can't a lady match up her colors once in a while?" She asked in fake-anger, snickering at his confusion.

"No! Of course not, Miss!" He said.

Okay, now that was getting annoying. She wasn't old enough for someone to be calling her 'miss'.

Well… not old enough in celestial terms… but to humans, she'll basically be an ancient fossil.

But still! She isn't going to let a youngster like him tell her differently!

Maybe she was old?

"Name's… uh…"

She knew giving her real name would provide some sort to her heavenly origins… so she decided to make a fake name right on the spot to make sure he doesn't go off and search her name later on the internet.

He looked at her with anticipation, really curious to see who this… person was. He knew that her hesitation came from netting someone new… especially when it was someone that was spying on them 'naked' just moments ago.

"Name's Monika Hampsure, kid, call me by that… none of 'miss' stuff, kay?" She said with a very confident tone of voice. The teenager just looked at her in confusion.

"Uh… okay, Miss-" He blundered.

She looked at him with squinted eyes.

"No problem, Monika! And if you want to know, My name's Tom!"

How coincidental.

"Okay then, Tom… mind telling me why you were such a peeping Tom back there and why you're alone out here in the forest?" She asked, chucking at her own pun. He looked uncomfortable.

"Uh… you are going to tell my parents are you?" He asked, scratching his neck.

"Kid-" Keenie seriously just forgot his name.

'What was his name again?... Oh right'

"Tom, I don't even know who your parents are, so you have nothing to worry 'bout over here!" She smiled with a heavenly glow, and reassured him ecstatically.

This calmed his nerves as he started talking.

"Oh, well… okay then!" He smiled with her and sat down on a rock. Keenie followed suit by sitting down on the floor. Tom started telling his story.

"Well… to be fair, I didn't really…wanted to come here to begin with. My friends and I were camping out here, but we got separated when we uh…" He looked at the ground, saddened by his story.

Keenie… or 'Monika' wasn't one to push someone into telling her something they didn't want, so she reassured him.

"Kid, if you don't want to tell me… that's fine, but I'm sure that if you let it out your chest, you'll feel a lot better." She smiled, reassuringly. Her own curiosity is taking the better of her, but watching this poor kid be sad also makes her heart tremble with a bit of sorrow.

Tom smiled back at her, knowing that whoever this stranger was, they are indeed someone he can talk to. He just feels it, even though he knows nothing of this 'Monika' woman.

"Thank you… and yeah, it's fine, I don't mind… I'll tell you" He continued his story, finding the courage to tell her again.

"Anytime you're ready, Tom" She gave him time.

Five seconds pass.

Twenty seconds pass.

Two minutes pass.

Keenie won't lie when she says that she's getting a little impatient. The mystery behind this 'Tom' is picking at her curiosity, and is making her want to know about what happened… but even she knows that humans can't be pushed to their limits. Humans are fragile creatures, and they need time and reassurance to get their worries and doubts out there.

She was about to fall asleep too.

But before she fell asleep, Tom started talking again.

"Okay… so here's what happened"

'Yay! Finally!' Keenie thought, excited that the waiting was over.

"Go ahead, young one, speak your insecurities" She says in a very caring manner.

Tom picked up the 'Young one' title and raised his eyebrow.

'Is she a nun or something?'

"Well… what happened was… interesting at best" He said. He fidgeted with two rocks as he lightly clicked them together.

"My friend and I got into a huge fight… well… you see" He shifted in the uncomfortable rock.

"My friend… she's a really good friend, but sometimes… she's too much, even for me." He said, in a sad manner.

This got Keenie's interest.

"What do you mean by… 'too much'?" She asked with major confusion.

"Well… she's just… very adventurous. She's careless, reckless and stuff like that. Sometimes she does stuff that really grinds my gears in the really bad way, and I always know she's going to get us into some sort of trouble… like what happened yesterday…" He continued while Keenie raised her head in interest.

"She told me to come camping with a few of my friends… So we did. Yesterday when we set up camping, there… well.. we found a deer in the woods… and…" He sighed, not wanting to remember the memory… but he knew he had to tell her.

"It was injured… it had a branch sticking out from it's leg, and it was crying…" He continued the story.

'Aww, poor Deerie…' The story reminded her of the queen bee of C.H.E.R.U.B, and mentally frowned.

"I told my friends… two of them were there, I forgot to include them. Her name is Stella, while my friends are Rusty and Clyde…" He added names to the story.

"Go on" Keenie assured him to continue. He nodded.

"Well… I told them that we should save the deer one way or another… I was really sad to see it in such pain… I wanted to do something! Anything at all, even if it was just simply giving it some berries! I wanted to save it… I just didn't want it to be it's last moments there…" He continued, rubbing his arms.

'Save a life for no self-benefit… Can this kid really be him?' She looked at Tom, and tried to match his characteristics to yesterday's shadow… 'No… it can't possibly be' she questioned herself.

He continued "Clyde agreed with me, but Stella and Rusty didn't… they thought it was better to either leave the deer alone or put it down so it wasn't suffering anymore… it just… it sounded so cruel when they explained it like that…" He said sorrowfully.

"You're right, it does sound cruel, every living deserves a chance to live… from the humblest of humans to the tiniest of insects!" Keenie said, in a holier than thou manner.

"I know! I tried to explain to them that we should at least try! But… they wouldn't listen to me… they just said that because we weren't there for it earlier… that we don't even have a chance to save it anymore, and it'd be better to just leave it be, or let it go from it's pain" He said… somewhat happy someone out there understood him…

But something clicked within Keenie…

A feeling of remorse… of shame… of failure…

'That mortal…'

She was talking about the mortal that Cletus, Collin and she saw when fighting against those I.M.P's… when they were banished… that kid with white hair and a smile of gold.

'We… I… couldn't save him?'

Before she could dwell any harder on her thoughts, she shook her head hard after Tom started calling out to her fake name.

"Monika?" He asked with concern.

"Oh… uh… yeah, kid, sorry about that… just got lost in the clouds" She snickered bashfully, as she rubbed her arm and blush.

"...do I continue… or?" He asked, making sure she wasn't lost; he really didn't want to repeat the story again.

"No, no… continue, continue, I'm okay, sorry 'bout that" She confirmed his worried expression as Tom nodded and continued.

"Well… not much happened after that… Stella got mad at us when we wanted to help the deer, while Clyde and her were still adamant about leaving it be…" He looked off in the forest, and so did 'Monika'.

"That's goo-" She was cut off.

"But now that I think about it… maybe it was best to let it down" He said with wide eyes and a frown.

This… greatly surprised Keenie… in a way that she didn't know it could have surprised.

'What!?' she was genuinely confused… and a bit irritated that someone would just let a poor animal die in the woods when it needs help.

"Why would you say that? You did the right thing. You wanted to save a life, even if it came for no benefit for you, it was the right thing to do'' She calmed herself down and herself down as she noticed she was becoming increasingly angry for no reason… she shouldn't redirect her frustrations with this kid…

'Am I… regretting something myself…?'

"Well… what if it wasn't? What if saving that deer wasn't the best thing to do?" He asked, but continued his statements and questions "If you think about it… we ourselves have no right in breaking the cycle that nature has… even if it means saving a creature from it…" he said.

'That's completely preposterous! Our lord almighty wouldn't want it any other way!' She convinced herself in her head.

"Maybe it was the best thing to do? You know?" He continued, breaking her train of thought.

'W…What?' She thought.

"You know… it's not really something we can prevent it 'fix' at that point… it happened without us being there… we could have saved that deer… but we didn't, and we couldn't… because we weren't there. I'm not going to say I don't regret what happened… but it wasn't exactly our fault… it wasn't our duty… we didn't exactly fail anything… but we did fail in saving it… but at that point, it wasn't exactly something we could have prevented from happening… I mean, You know… it was going to die at some point… right? Even if we couldn't save it, at least it's pain wouldn't last any longer… she does have good points that I never took into consideration…"

'Failure… it really was our fault...huh?'

She thought back on the white haired kid that she swore was kidnapped by those filthy, demon garbage… but when she talked to him… a memory flashed in her head.

-FLASHBACK FADE IN:-

There they were, fighting the disgusting demon trash that were giving them troubles all day. They were trying to do their job and save the life of a man called 'Lyle Lipton', their newest project. They were ordered to save them after a bunch of clienteles came to them, asking to save Lyle from his suicide filled mind, and to make him redeem himself so he can come to Heaven.

The main reason he was supposed to be saved was because of his inventions. He was a man of great aptitude and valor, especially if he could have been used to make great advancements for the realm of silver.

She personally didn't feel like saving such a slimy asshole… especially for the atrocities he committed. She felt he should have gone where the rest of the shitty, dead people went… straight to the mother-flipping inferno. But hey! A job a job, and she was not going to say to the word of her boss, and her lord.

So, they did. They went to do their jobs the best they could… and she truly does mean it when she says the best they could. It all went south hill incredibly fast when a bunch of imps came out of nowhere to mess up with their plans. Apparently, their job was to kill Lyle Lipton to bring him to Hell…

That was actually not a bad plan. She actually did sort of agree with their intentions and their motivations, but ain't no way she was letting them mess with her own job. A job is a job after all, and she felt that a personal job from God Almighty was more important than some start up business from a bunch of demon trash.

She could have never expected how horrible that day was going to go.

Firstly, they tried to show him the beauty of nature and the world… chaos ensued by the filthy imps.

Secondly, they tried to show Lyle the great happiness one can get from the blessing and the future of humanity, children… yeah, chaos ensued again when those trashy demons decided to show the gross, perverted and pedophilic aura of the 'Santa' at the mall.

Thirdly, they were sure this was going to work… they tried to show him some nice and classy Opera

...

Yeah they were grasping at straws at that point.

But it almost worked if it wasn't for those shitty demons!

Before any of the Opera's beautiful music could take any effect, the imps and their impling decided to literally drop a spotlight at the singer, crushing her into a bloody pulp as everyone screamed! Like, seriously!

At that point, Keenie couldn't take it anymore.

Her already short enough fuse completely fizzled out, and she wanted to shed some black, demon blood, and nobody was going to stop her from shedding said blood!

It sounded really bad at the time, but she was really angry, okay?

Without a second thought, she went at mach speed so she could confront them. The only person that didn't seem to want to fight was the little impling.

Such innocent purity. Even demonlings have a sense of morality and a vulnerability for all life. It made her… somewhat happy, if she was honest…

But that wasn't going to stop her and her team from completely annihilating his aforementioned parents and… babysitter?

So they did what they knew to do… they attempted to dissolve the situation… by… well… killing the demons.

At best, they were going to retreat and run off… and at worst, a demonling was going to see his parents die that day…

It's that type of ironic madness that prevents Keenie's heart from breaking, knowing she was going to create an orphan that day.

While she knew that cherubs weren't exactly fit for fighting, they didn't really care. They were seeing red from their failed operation by the hands of the demons, and they were going to make them pay one way or another.

But then… When they were fighting, the child started speaking about them… about how they were no better than demons, and how their intentions to save a life were just as selfish as the demons for taking a life, and that they have no moral high ground to stand on.

Even though he was just a demonling, she could only see iron and blood in her eyes. When the child insulted their line of work and dared to compare them to the imps, she did something unforgivable… she shot him… a poor child in the middle of a fight of heavenly and hellish beings. The older imp with huge horns had to push him out of the way from getting hit with the arrow. She was about to snap off from her bloodlusted state, but then she noticed something. His hood blew back, and they noticed all of his aspects. White skin, black pupils, round face, four freckles on each of his cheeks and the most noticeable aspect, he had pure, white snow hair and a buck tooth.

'Cute kid… wait a minute… what!?'

before she even managed to comprehend what was happening, everyone was looking over at the human child. He looked over to where he saw the arrow come from… Keenie's crossbow.

The arrow scratched his cheek, and he… he gave a look that Keenie never thought someone would give her said look.

Hatred.

Anger.

Sadness.

Disappointment.

F E A R.

The child's look filled her with sorrow, and disgust as herself.

The innocent blood she spilled right then and there would stay on her hands for the rest of her days.

She didn't kill him… yes…

But she still hurt him… and to her, that was something to be disgusted by.

Even then… Cletus, Collin and Her still insulted the absolute living hell out of the implings.

Assuming that they killed his family. That they were torturing him. That they were holding him against his will.

But out of nowhere, a large blast was heard, and all of the cherubs saw the energy that was coming from somewhere.

"The… child?" Cletus said out loud.

The cherubs were all concerned… and afraid for the child.

They saw the pure hatred and animosity that emitted from him as they were looked on by a judgemental aura. It was as if their lord was staring at them… at their souls… at their actions… at their resolve.

He started talking about how they were no better than demons were. That their selectiveness on saving lives were the reason why so many humans have suffered, and why so many of them were sent to Hell in the first place.

And then, she heard the words that broke her in two.

"YOU HAD YOUR CHANCE"

She felt… broken.

For once in her life… she felt as if she has… failed.

She could care less about that man anymore, she was more engaged in trying to get the young human to understand them… to… maybe embrace them.

She hated the feeling of guilt. It made her feel disgusted at herself, and her friends and coworkers. If she wanted to make amends, she needed to get the young child to see the light. The light that her friends and herself have worshipped for so long…

"Stop! Don't you see we wish to save you?!"

She yelled as loud as she could muster. Her voice broke, almost as if she was about to cry.

She needed forgiveness. She needed to amend for her sins. She needed him to understand!

But then.

"I'VE LEARNED TO SAVE MYSELF! YOUR PRECIOUS SYSTEM HELPED WITH THAT BY DOING NOTHING!"

crack

Debris.

Dust.

Fire.

Explosions.

Every disaster was happening around her.

Her world was crumbling.

'My… system?'

'My Grievance?'

'My Mistake?

'My Pride?'

'My Carelessness?'

'I did this?'

'I… didn't mean to…'

'My… my fault?'

Everything was happening around her. She felt disgust. She felt regret. She felt wrong.

-CRACK-

As if a dam broke because of water overflow, she started crying. She cried as if she'd never cried in her life. This feeling she got… it was as when…

'Mother'

She thought. She failed her mom… and now she has failed this young mortal as well.

She wanted to burn.

She felt every judgmental light in the room hit her at once as if the world was renouncing her for her crimes.

She couldn't stop thinking about her mistakes.

And now there was one more to count.

"I'm sorry" She mumbled close to the child right after he was done blasting Cletus in the face with a magical beam.

They were staring at each other for what felt like eternities.

He was looking at her with blood red eyes. But… he looked tired.

His footing faltered, and he looked dizzy. He started to walk towards her as he fell on the railing.

He could barely support himself, right up until he fell off the railing. At the height that the catwalk was away from the stage's floor… he was definitely going to die.

"NO!"

Keenie reacted with wide eyes as she launched herself forward from the railing down to the floor.

She caught the kid right on time as she put him right on the ground. She looked at him with concerned and saddened eyes.

"I'm sorry I couldn't save you" she mumbled.

He looked directly at her with the same hatred in his eyes. His next words… they changed her.

"Damn you"

He said as he fell to the floor to gain his bearings.

Those words… they triggered something in her head. They confused her.

'Damn...me?'

Her actions caused this. Her indecision caused this hatred.

She was about to talk to the mortal again until she heard a blast from behind her. Cletus was standing off against the imp with big horns. Before she could even think, she stared at the young one behind her once more, and with teary eyes mumbled.

"I'll save you this time… I promise"

She said as she went over to where Cletus and Collin where standing at and readied her crossbow again. As Lincoln regained his bearings… and his hatred, he ran behind the female imp, as that same imp hugged him close to her, as if protecting him from them.

'I...I don't want to hurt him' She thought with sorrow in her mind and heart.

Then the incident with Lyle happened, as he got crushed by the piano they accidentally set off by shooting an arrow at the wrong place.

As they retreated to head off to Heaven, she saw the eyes of the young mortal once more as she gave her 'I'm sorry' with her own eyes. He still looked at her with malice.

And then the news of banishment from Deerie herself came out of nowhere, breaking the spirits and morale of Cletus, Collin and Keenie. As she was about to turn around and go, Deerie pulled in Keenie and started whispering to her.

"Keenie. Don't regret, don't forget"

For being such a frilly and optimistic angel, Deerie sure was one of the more cryptic cherubs she has ever met in her life.

"Don't become too attached, Princess" She finished off as she grabbed Keenie's wings and ripped a bundle of her feathers from them. The action caused Keenie to scream with pain as her wings started bleeding a white and viscous liquid.

"Remember, you don't want to sin more than you already have, right, sheepy?"

Deerie finished off by grabbing some of the white blood from Keenie's wings and spreading it as two lines on both of her cheeks.

"Think of it as… your mark of shame, dear lamb"

And with that, she was gone. From their sights. From their presence. From their lives.

Keenie looked over where she last left off from the portal, and stared at it with tears running down her face, smearing the blood that Deerie drew on her face. She dropped her wings and touched the spot that her feathers were plucked out from. She touched it and put her fingers in front of her.

It was her blood. Her white blood.

"I never knew… my own blood was white…"

She said as she stared forward again. She heard Cletus and Collin pleading for her to come back so that they could tell her about what they saw with the boy.

The boy.

Those eyes.

They were filled with so many emotions.

Hatred.

Sadness.

Pleading.

Disappointment.

All directed at them.

But she felt as if they were only directed at her.

From that day on, she would feel this emotion of self hatred and self deprivation that she would have never felt had these events transpired.

Maybe…

Maybe…

They weren't as perfect as they thought…

After all… if you bleed… and make others bleed... are you really any better?

She cried, and cried, and cried.

And she didn't think that she would ever stop crying.

-FLASHBACK FADE OUT:-

"MONIKA!"

"Huh!? What!?"

Keenie shook her head rapidly as her train of thought and memory was broken immediately by Tom. He shook her from her shoulders as he questioned whether she was okay or not.

"What happened!?" She looked at the kid.

"You totally bugged out there for a second! You didn't even respond when I was hitting you with a stick!" He proceeded to show said stick he used to smack her with it.

Realizing this, she slowly started to rub her head. It was stinging from the amounts of time that she was hit with a stick by the kid.

"How many times did you hit me with that!?" It really did hurt.

"Uhh… I don't know… a few times before I started shaking you awake, maybe?" He said with a cheeky smile as he stared at her with guilty eyes.

She stared at him and slowly sighed. Her nightmares are now turning into daymares.

"...You okay, Monika?" He was concerned about her attitudes.

She gave an exasperated nod as she sighed non-apologetically.

"Okay, listen to me, and listen well… I want to tell you my own story, young one" She finished as she gave a nod.

It's very weird for Tom to be called 'young one', when said person sounded younger than he was… but he was sure she was definitely older than he'd imagined, even if she did look a bit like a midget. Without hesitation he nodded enthusiastically.

"Alright then…" She sighed one last time before looking at him again with a stern face, ready for the story telling of a lifetime.

"It all happened with a simple job, kid… a very simple job…"

INT. I.M.P HEADQUARTERS - DAY

Over in the land of the damned, there is a small group of three demons and a human child playing poker, betting… potato chips.

"You're about to give me all of your pile, LOONA! Because I'm all in!" Lincoln said with a cocky grin as he is sure that this time he will be victorious… but without a second thought to think, he heard a small snicker from the devilish hellhound

"Tough luck, Linc… because you just got owned! Talk about digging your own grave!" She barked out with her own arrogant smirk as she also betted her entire edible price.

Both of them started their cards intensively, groaning at what just happened… for the twelfth time in a row.

Both got royal flushes.

"Again! Really!? What the fuck!?" Loona screamed at the bullfuckery that just happened again.

"I swear this game is completely rigged! How is it possible that we have a royal flush for the twelfth time in a row?" Lincoln himself was agitated at the never ending game rounds that Loona and him had been playing.

Card and board games were one of the only things that Lincoln can play with Loona in a fair manner. No physical activity or reflex acknowledgement is needed to actually play, so that means that Loona's hellhound abilities will not come in handy.

Even then that didn't matter as they have tied again in a game of luck and chance.

"Oh! Here's the problem!"

Both Loona and Lincoln looked over to the owner of said yelling, Blitzo, Loona's adoptive father.

"This is actually the deck that I use to cheat at gamble nights over at the casino! No wonder you two have been getting the same fucking cards for the last twelve rounds!" He laughed as he started looking over the entire deck again.

Loona and Lincoln looked at him with deadpanned expressions.

The game is basically ruined now, but

That won't deter Lincoln from trying to beat Loona.

"Even with a cheating deck, I bet I can beat you, Loona!" He said with a challenging stare directly at her.

"Oh, really? You really think that's gonna happen?" She stared with the same challenging look he was giving her.

"Yeah!"

"You're on, bro!"

Before they could even set the deck again, the door bursts open, the perpetrators being Millie and Moxxie.

"Yeehaw~ Motherfuckers! We just got a new deal!" Millie came in while swinging a sword around the air. Moxxie followed suit with his own comment, "We have a big client everybody!" He says as he gets everyone's attention.

"Okay then, spill it, shit nuggets" Loona says as she looks at them, disinterested.

"What do you mean by 'big'" Lincoln asked, curious to know exactly what he meant by that.

Moxxie exclaimed his enthusiastic excitement.

"We just got a contractor from a group of mercenaries that are looking to score big!"

"How much are those fuckers paying?" Blitzo comes out of nowhere and decides to give his piece in the conversation.

"Don't really know, B, but does it fucking matter!? These guys seem like they're loaded! Imagine all of the good stuff they are carrying with them!?" Millie replied.

"Uh, no fucking duh!? Of course it matters! All that matters is that they have the dough to cough up" Blitzo answers back as he walks over to the door.

Before he could even open it, the door slams itself wide open, hitting Blitzo and slamming him into the wall, leaving a cartoonishly looking squashed Blitzo on the wall.

Everyone turned around to see the sudden appearance of the new… 'guests'.

Because of the out of nowhere entry, most of the participants in the room prepped up, ready for a fight.

Loona quickly went and hid Lincoln behind her, not being afraid to show her claws and fangs.

Millie went to Lincoln behind Loona and hugged him defensively, knowing that things might start getting ugly.

Moxxie went Infront of the other while dual wielding Desert Eagles.

And Blitzo… well… he was still a flat pancake on the wall.

Everyone was ready for a fight, even Lincoln as he reached for the Grimoire on the wall. He wouldn't be lying when he says that he's a little nervous about the sudden interruption.

"What the hell are you fuckheads doing!?" Loona barked at the new arrivals. She looked at them… and she actually has no idea who in the mother of fuck they were.

One was a… thing… with pale skin, deep black eyes, cut off horns and a monk's robe. The other one was a female… thing with the same robe as the other guy, with lightly pink and pale skin. Then, there was another… thing behind them, with the same void eyes, but he had deep blue skin and had what appeared to be fins coming from the side of his head.

She wasn't lying when she said that she had absolutely no idea who these people were… or what they were to begin with.

"Yeah, buckaroonies! I don't know who you think you are to suddenly invade a private company building like this, but you sure are in for a big fucking whooping I'll tell you that much!" Millie wasn't soft with her rebuttals either.

"You guys better back off and get out if you know what's best for you!" Rattling noises came from Moxxie's guns as he made his peace.

Now, a bloody battle was about to ensue.

What?

If that were true, why wasn't anybody calling shots right now? The 'invaders' were just standing there confused, with raised eyebrows and mouthing 'what' and other questionable sentences to themselves.

Lincoln decided to intervene.

"Uh… guys… I don't think they're here to fight…"

Before any of them could say anything, the pale being decided to speak.

"He's not really wrong, to be fair… we called ahead of time? We were talking to somebody called 'Moxxie' earlier, any of you… you know… him?" He finished

The team looked at each other with confirming stares and nods at each other.

"Yes, I'm him" Moxxie spoke up, obviously noticing the decreasing tensity in the atmosphere.

The pale being smiled genuinely as he started speaking again.

"Morning there, good chap! Name's Milas, I'm here to give you a job for all of you!"

Everyone stared at each other again.

Lincoln sighed, knowing the confused glares from everyone.

'Oh yeah… this is going to be interesting'

Before anyone could move an inch, a pained grumble was heard from the wall.

"N...nah, I'm completely fine! Thanks for asking" Blitzo was taking himself off the walls at last, and started cracking his back.

'Yup… definitely interesting…'
