While New York-Presbyterian has its own drama, Seattle Grace still takes the lead with how almost all of the surgeons' personal lives blend with the hospital walls. Maybe it's just the way it is, as doctors spend most of their waking lives walking out and about inside their workplace, they don't have time to look for other places to pick apart their issues.

At least, that's what Richard Webber thinks so, as he catches Shepherd and Sloan's wrestling match from his office.

Second time this week.

He really should suspend them.

By the time he reached the hot headed, world-class surgeons under him, they already broke apart. At the other end of the walkway was Addison, unmoving, staring at the two doctors who now have blood dripping all over their faces, held back by two other doctors.

Figures it's because of her.

Was this much mess really the catch of having world-class surgeons? He knows it isn't, or it shouldn't be, but his mind screams "Hypocrite!" every time he considers taking a drastic step like any normal, level-headed leader would do.

He really should fire them, as this wasn't the first of its kind—and certainly wouldn't be the last, by the looks of it—but that would result in raised eyebrows, especially from the other doctors of Seattle Grace (with Meredith as exhibit A, given that she found out about his affair with Ellis Grey)... and unfortunately, the downfall of Seattle Grace.

"Clean yourselves up and meet me in my office."

The moment he hired Derek Shepherd? The hospital became a playground… or a circus… or both.

"Is no one going to talk? Explain themselves?" He looked at the three doctors in front of him, and he can't believe that after decades, he's back to this.

Derek and Addison in front of him. Only now, there's an addition of a smug plastic surgeon, making it a lot worse.

"Alright. Well, I'll have to tell you three that the next time anything about this—" Richard made sure to gesture at the three of them, "—even just a slight hint from any of the three of you discussing your personal lives and issues within the hospital grounds, the board will have to make a decision."

They all looked at him in surprise. And there it is. The raised eyebrows.

"I have no choice. You keep making this reputable hospital a soap opera—"

"Huh. February 14, 1996, New York Hospital, you and Adele were walking down the hall when Adele loudly brought up E—"

"Only you can be this petty, Shepherd," Richard snapped, glaring at the attending. Though he knows that the memory Derek was pointing out pale in comparison to the other cases where the hospital he was working at bore witness to his personal problems.

"That's one way to put it," Mark Sloan said, smirking at Derek.

"Dr. Sloan, unless you have something valuable to say, I suggest you shut it." The man in question stayed quiet afterwards, yet Richard noticed how the man kept looking intently at Addison, whose body was angled closer to Derek.

A mess.

"That's why I'm giving you a third chance. Do this one more time and all three of you—"

"Me?!" It was his turn to raise an eyebrow at his star surgeon.

"Why, weren't you the reason for all of this?" Richard challenged, knowing full well Addison's not backing down with a fight.

Petty and stubborn. The perfect combination. That's why he got tons of grey hairs when he mentored Derek and Addison during their residency.

He used to think it was worth it, as they have proven time and time again how talented they were. Only, it's at the cause of skewed up life decisions surfacing dangerously a milimeter away from high-profile patients.

They are always a step away from being sued, caused by their unprofessional actions.

"Richard. You really think these two were fighting over me?" He kept a straight face, as he worked with Addison enough to know when she's struggling with something. As much as the woman thinks she holds a great poker face, she was very much an open book to all the people close to her.

She's someone who wears her heart on her sleeve, yet is in denial of it. That's why he made her stay with the dying patient, and why he personally took her under his wing. Like a daughter he never had.

And he immediately sensed the hurt she was feeling, masked by the cold smile and empty laugh she let out.

"They're fighting over Meredith Grey. Not me."

When both men looked at Addison in surprise, Richard knew that that wasn't the case at all.
