She was quiet the whole drive. Her blurred gaze staring out the darkened window of her girlfriend's offered car. Not for the first time since giving over the next and final destination from her mini list of stops did Lena's hand squeeze her own against the single-seat between the involved women.

"I'm alright, Lee Lee." Kara assures but the raven-haired woman in the seat beside her own could clearly hear the uneven break in her voice as she spoke.

Heck, Kara was sure even Jess could hear it on the other side of the clear divider between the front and back seats of the sleek car now turning onto the desired roadway. They'd have to walk the rest of the way.

Lena chooses not to push instead making a point of keeping hold of Kara's trembling hand as she leans forward to tap against the barrier. "Thanks again for doing this Jess." She smiles when the woman in the driver's seat turns her head to catch her boss's eye.

"Like I'd let you two go alone." Jess says with a sad kind of smile.

It was certainly true considering despite their many attempts to put her off Jess had made a point of inserting herself into this self-given mission Kara had taken on since the world had been 'sparked' back together again after the strange red wave had ripped it apart.

She was careful in her approach as she slipped into the lives of each of the copied Clark's lives just to make sure each was as happy as possible in this new world they'd been brought to. They might not have been the cousin she'd originally been sent to protect but Kara just couldn't shake the pull in her chest telling her it was her duty to make sure every Clark 'Kal-El" Kent was as safe and happy as her own beloved cousin from Earth 38 was at this very moment.

It had been a shock, to say the least finding that the Clark Kent originally from Earth 88 ended up bearing an uncanny resemblance to Jeremiah Danvers himself as he and his wife watched their young grandson running around one of the many playground the blended Multiverse had produced after reforming into a single able it crowded collection of the different Earths.

Even more of a shock than that was when Kara saw the Lois at his side matching the face of Mon-El's mother as she ducked her head with a not so muffled laugh at the cheesy comment, he'd whispered to her before the pair had been called over to the swings by the young boy wanting them to play with him.

But the shock of all shocks since the red wave haze had to have been when Kara and Lena had stopped by the small farm just outside Smallville, Kansas only to have an honest copy of Kara's mother walk out of the cozy yellow house to greet them when they walked up hand in hand, fining car trouble.

The Clark from her original Earth soon joining them from the direction of the barn after a called "Hey, Smallville. Stop messing with that old tracker and come say hello."

That of course sends the twin girls racing off toward the barn themselves with mirrored calls of "Daddy. Daddy we have guests."

Even Jess swears it was only the knee-high boots, grease splattered blue jeans, light blue plaid shirt, and twin girls running around her wanting attention that stopped from calling the copy of Alura Zor-El out for her doppelganger self once the Earth 167 Clark and Lois had agreed to follow Kara and Lena back to their 'broken down' car.

"Hey,"

Kara starts at the whispered word. Or maybe it was when Lena so tenderly ran her fingers through Kara's windblown hair in a vain attempt to tame the unruly curls that had already shaken loos from the blonde's ponytail.

"We don't have to do this."

Kara was already shaking her head. "I have to, Lena." She argues. "please." She follows up her voice breaking as she remembered the final version of Clark Kent, she'd been able to find.

This one originating from Earth 1978

Lena's hand tightened around her own as they started off down the graveled pathway.

"He'd given up his powers." Kara says halfway into their walk.

"Huh?" Lena asks her eyes still scanning the names on each marker they passed for the one they'd come to find.

"Kal. The one from that earth I mean. His son said he'd given up his powers."

"He'd have had to considering what happened." Lena reminds. She remembers all to clearly the night Kara had found the article surrounding the last name on her then an uncomplete list of the different Clark Kent's she'd wanted to check in on.

"Retired Daily Plant hero injured in horse riding incident'

Lena had been more than a little nervous Kara's crying would end up breaking the bed she was so upset, but not even that could make her unlock her grip around her shaking girlfriend's middle before Kara ended up crying herself to sleep that night.

"but if it was so easy for him. It must be that easy for me." Kara bargains her tone more than a little awestruck.

"You'd really give up your abilities?" Lena asks surprised

Kara shrugs. "I mean it's not like I haven't thought about it, over the years." She admits her free hand reaching up in that nervous tick of fidgeting with her glasses when she was attempting to hide something.

"There he is." Kara announces before Lena could say more on the new topic of discussion between them.

Her hands ending up shaking so badly that Lena had to be the one to lay the simple collection of red, blue, and yellow flowers against the dull grey rock bearing not only his name but that of his wife's as well.

Lena didn't try to fight when Kara's hand slips from her own as the blonde falls to her knees in front of the neat headstone.

The dark-haired CEO didn't need to hear her to know Kara was now reciting some Kryptonian prayer as she bows her head in a vain attempt to hide her tears.

"Clark and Lois. Always a team."

The good thing was that Kara's head was still bowed meaning that her startled blast of heat vision was directed downward rather than toward the smooth headstone in front of her at the new voice breaking the chilly quiet of the gravesite.

"That's Lois and Clark." Another corrected then adding a snarky huffed "tell them, Smallville. Lois and Clark just has a much better ring to it."

"I did warn you from the start Kent, I am top banana." The Lois from Earth 88 agrees with a cheeky grin toward the Clark at her side.

Lena ended up needing to help a shocked Kara back to her feet at the sight of two pairings of Clark Kent and Lois Lane walking towards them. Each pairing holding hands with their respective partner. Each one also holding a small collection of flowers.

"El mayarah,." The Clark originally from Earth 167 shrugs noticing the yet-to-fade look of absolute shock on Kara's face as she looks between the other four standing close around her. "doesn't matter what Earth we're from originally. The house of El has always and will always be stronger together than we are separately. "

"Great minds, huh?" the Clark looking far more like Jeremiah sighed with a low chuckle noticing the same color scheme of each of the three collections of flowered offerings.

"Great minds." Kara nodes moving out of the way to allow the other two parings to settle their own arrangements beside her own.
