In Colorado it is raining and a woman and her child are inside a gas station. The mother has solid black hair and blue eyes. She is in a cloak and she is looking for something. She sees exactly what she was looking for, a camper van. She kneels down to talk to her son.

"Go pick out something for yourself."

The boy is eight years old, blonde haired, blue eyed, and is in a sjacket, jeans, and muck boots. He walked throughout the store out of sight. The mother turned and saw a couple walking out towards the camper van. The boy returned to the mother and presented his items. He held a candy bar and water. The mother handed him some money.

"Go to the cashier and wait here while I go have some grownup talk."

The boy did as instructed and the mother walked to the camper. She tapped on the driver side window. A man rolled down his window.

"Excuse me, I couldn't help but notice the camper van, and I was wondering where you two were headed? I love to travel and was wondering if I had been to your destination or not."

The couple looked at the mother and the woman nodded her head. The man turned back to the mother.

"We are going to Jasper park, Alberta, Canada."

The mother looked at them and smiled.

"I just love Alberta this time of year. It is right before it starts to snow. You people will love it. Look me in my eyes and tell me I'm lying."

They looked in her eyes and the mothers eyes turned bright purple. The couple became entranced by her now violet eyes.

"Now listen to my voice, you will not remember this conversation when you wake up in thirty minutes. Nod if you understand."

The couple nodded their heads.

"Good, now sleep."

The couple's heads dropped as soon as she said that.

The mothers eyes return to their normal blue color and she walked to the boy who saw the whole thing.

"How long will the spell last?" Asked the boy

"It will only be thirty minutes."

The mother and son moved behind the camper and the mother gets down on one knee. She pulls out a shoe box.

"Do not open this until after three days of your uncle being defeated."

The boy nodded.

"These people are going very far away from here. I want you to stay in the camper van and be very quiet. You are going to go to Jasper Park in Alberta."

The boy's eyes grew wide.

"Why are you not coming with me?"

"I have to make sure we weren't followed."

The boy held his mother in the best bear hug he could muster.

"I can't do this on my own, I need you."

The mother made her son look her in the eyes.

"Now you listen to me mister. You are the son of the guardian and you are my son. You are a prodigy. You have learned a lot of fighting styles from your father. You are able to shift into animals like him and manipulate the elements without magic. It may be small manipulation and it may be baby animals, but it can still help you. I don't think you learned all of the styles, You have learned all the magic you can learn right now due to your age. It may just be making projections of things right now and other small spells, but when you are older you will learn more and be able to do more. If you can defend yourself you can survive. You are also so smart. Your ability to learn and absorb information will also help you survive. You maybe just eating berries, but it's better than nothing. You can do this because I believe in you. Now, do you have everything you need?"

"Yes mother."

"What do you have?"

The boy proceeds to look through the large bag he is carrying.

"My two daggers, my cloak, some more spare clothes, my phone, both types of earbuds, a family photo, and my mask."

"Ok, now listen to me very carefully. Do not call anyone with your phone or use any spells to call anyone. Your mask will help you by giving your magic a boost and you can manipulate elements at a larger scale. You also have Waya to protect you. Use it only if necessary. Do you understand?

"Yes"

"I love you so much my son. Now get in that camper."

The boy did as he was instructed and got into the camper. The mother hugged her son and kissed his forehead.

"No matter where you go or how far away you may be, with all my heart, I love you and be well Dean."

"Be well mother."

With that the mother closed the door and began running into the tree line.

The boy has now been left alone for his adventure. Unknown to him, this adventure will be life changing.

He nestled onto a bed in the camper and drifted off to sleep. After some time the couple awoke, started their vehicle, and began the drive to Jasper.

The mother made it to a house and she pulled out a potion she made. She drunk it and walked into the house.

"Now that fool can't use any spell to look into my memories."

She walked into the kitchen and saw the wood floor stained with dried blood.

"He cleaned it. I am happy Dean didn't see that." She said to herself.

"Yes I did clean, after I escaped your binding spell." Said a voice from the stairs. The woman looked and saw a man that stood about 5/5. He had medium length black hair and wore a trench coat. He had black goggles over his eyes. The mothers eyes filled with rage.

"You are a murderer that escaped his bindings and cleaned the scene of the crime poorly."

"Dear sister, that is no way to talk to your brother." The man smiled as he taunted his sister.

"You lost the right to call me that when I found you standing above my husband's corpse with your sword in him."

"Well, if you feel like that than just tell me what I need to know and I will leave and you can never see me again."

"I will not give you my children Julius." The woman used her magic to make a portal. She pulled out a katana and closed the portal. The mans smile frowned.

"Oh Sarah I don't want your children, I want your son, for he must die."

"Why?"

Julius' smile faded and became very serious. "I will reveal to you why once I beat you."

Julius revealed his sword from the sheath under his trench coat, and the fight commenced.
