Dean was surrounded by wolves. These wolves are strange. They look fuzzy and hard to see any features
"I know I should be scared, but I'm not. I feel calm and safe." He said
He then heard laughter. This laughter was evil. The wolves began disappearing.
"Don't go, please don't leave me, I'll protect you." He pleaded.
They we're gone and he was left with the laughter.
"Oh, Dean, they are all gone and it's all your fault. They were killed by my hands and now it is time for you join them."
A mist rushed him and he screamed. He rose up from his position and frantically looked around. He was in his cave and all his belongings were near.
"I keep having that dream. Even after I came here that dream is still popping up."
He looked out at the sun. It was almost noon.
"Oh, right I need to meet with Runt."
He grabbed both his daggers and took his cloak. He made his way to the spot. Just before he got there he shifted. He walked out and waited. A few minutes later he heard rustling in the bushes.
"That is too big to be Runt." He thought and got ready to run.
Runt popped out of the spot.
"Guess not," he thought.
and then Kate, Humphrey, and the other pups came out right after. "Now that makes sense."
"Hi Dean," said Runt.
"Hi Runt, Stinky, Claudette, Mr. Humphrey, and Mrs. Kate, what's the plan for today?
He was taken back by Runt's family being in front of him but he tried to play it off.
"Well we can play tag," said Runt.
"Ok, well who wants to be it," asked Dean.
"Not it," said Runt.
Everyone said not it, but Stinky was last.
"Ok, but we must stay in this area," said Kate.
Everyone agreed and began running from Stinky.
"Ok, time to run" said Dean.
He then felt something grab his scruff, and began carrying him off. He was brought to the very edge of the seeking area, and put down in front of Kate.
"Why did you do that? said Dean.
"I brought you here because you are not from around here and I have some questions for you."
Oh no... how am I gonna get through this grilling. He thought.
"You don't have our packs scent, so... where did you come from?"
"Honesty is everything." He thought.
"I am not from around here. I just came to Jasper very recently."
She stared into my eyes and searched for any signs of lying.
"Who else came with you?"
"It is just me. I am waiting for my mother to find me so we can go home together."
"Why did you leave you home in the first place."
"That's personal"
"where are you staying."
"In a cave north of here."
She stared at him for a few minutes.
"Ok Dean, that's all the questions I need, and I believe your answers."
Dean nodded and Kate began making her way back.
"Ok, this is good. I am not going to be torn apart." Thought Dean.
He followed behind Kate. They were found by Runt and he tagged Dean.
"You're it Dean," said Runt.
"Oh, you guys better Run."
Everyone continued to play games for a few more hours. It was getting late and it was almost sun down.
"Ok pups, it's time to head home for dinner," said Humphrey.
"Welp the fun must come to an end I guess," thought Dean.
He began making his way back to his den when he heard someone call him from behind. He turned around to see Kate.
"Yes Mrs. Kate,"
"She knows generally where I live and she said we were done with the questions, so what could she want with me now," he thought.
"I would not feel good with just leaving you to fend for yourself at your age, so I think it would be best if you stayed with me and my family."
Dean was a little taken back by her offer, but managed to compose himself.
"Uh, well I appreciate the offer, but I am doing just fine on my own," he stuttered.
He then turned around and began walking only to have his tail pinned.
"I wasn't asking Dean."
She then grabbed him by his scruff and began walking. He decided not to protest due to it being completely useless and he was tired of eating just berries. They later made it back to the others.
"Dean, are you excited about the sleepover?," asked Runt.
Dean had no idea what he was talking about and was about to ask until Humphrey stopped him.
"I told them about the sleepover Dean. How your parents are coming and we are taking care of you until then." Humphrey winked after he said that.
Dean just hung in Kate's mouth for a second and then looked at Runt.
"I am so excited." The pups were so happy, and talked to Dean all the way to their den.
