The Ninja was all planning out the mission "We will have to save them kids from down their, the only problem is how we are going to get them out without hurting them more" Zane states as he looks down the ravine, they was on an rescue mission two teens and an 10 year old was playing by some cliff saying "They was play fighting" But it got out of control and the 10 year old got push down and fell down, the poor kid was crying as the elements think, Kai was getting restless along with Jay and Nya with Lloyd "It's easy we just got to get their and get the kid out, there mission done" Kai says in a growl towards Zane who frowned "We could hurt them, they are already in pain" Zane explains, Cole agrees with the nindroid.
"Zane is right, hurting the kid will make things worst then it should" Lloyd adds on, Kai rolls his eyes and looks down at the boy that began crying louder, on the side line the two teens that was fighting was the other older brothers who made it happen in the first place, Kai glares at them and walks over "What was you two thinking when fighting right beside your younger brother?!" Kai yells, The two just looked down "We thought he was sitting down somewhere off..sorry" "Well sorry can't fix pain, this should be easy but here we are not going down because "we" don't want to hurt your brother!" "Kai stop yelling at them, they just don't know any better" Nya shouts at her brother who grumbles walking away from them.
Zane gets an idea "I guess Kai is right...Cole do you think you could get down there and carry the kid up, the walls are not to steady though, do you think you could take it?" Zane asks putting a hand on Cole shoulder, he looks up at the ice ninja then back down to the ravine and nods "Of course, I'll try my best but I won't promise it'll end nicely at all" Zane smiles "Okay, we have no rope so your going to have to hold yourself up, and no elements you could make things worst Cole" Zane states to him carefully leaving no details out, removing his hand "I understand" Cole answers, Lloyd sighs, they was waiting for him to submit to it he became a little uneasy, but with the 10 year old cries getting louder, and it supposing to be easy he agrees "Okay just don't get yourself hurt Cole" The new leader says.
The ninja give Cole best of luck, Jay joking saying "don't die" with a laugh, Cole annoyed this chuckling it off.
Cole gulps as he looks down 'I'll be fine, if Lloyd is okay with all of this it'll be find, right?" He tells himself, he pins where the boy is and begins to climb down, trying his best not to use to much strength in the progress, they watch from the top with fretful eyes, Cole keeps brave when he saw kid staring at him with hopeful eyes "I'm n-not gonna die?" He asks when the black ninja got closer, his heart broke at this but he smiles "No no, your going to be okay, what hurts?" He asks his feet hitting the rough hard ground wishing that they now hand better shoe wear for their suits.
The boy swallows hard "M-my legs, I think their broken...I think my head is bleeding to" He slurs out Cole groans to himself and looks up "Guys we got a problem!" Cole yells to the ninja "What's wrong!" Lloyd yells down "His legs are broken! And he I'm pretty sure he has an head injury!" Their was no respond back, Cole sighs 'They must be thinking' he says to himself, he sits down by him instructing him to lay down as he hold his head up in his lap, trying his best to comfort him with words, minutes past that felt like hours, Cole rips the boy white shirt at the end and put it around his head hoping it could stop his head from bleeding "Cole!" Kai yells down "Yeah!" "An ambulance is coming!...Do you think you could bring him up?! We have some rope now!" Kai yells.
Cole knew the answer right away "Not without help I can" He heard a loud growl from Kai now seeing it's not going to be as easy as he thought "I'm coming down!" There was fighting between his teammates then finally Kai lowing the rope and coming down slow and steady once he got down he looks down at the kid then Cole who looked out of it "Lets do this" he agrees with the Kai "I could carry him, and you can make sure he don't falls down from behind, kid hold your hands around my neck" Kai orders.
Like that the three were in the way back up, the rope was not suppose to carry out this weight at all but here they are doing it, Cole saw the rope beginning to ripe on the part he was on, his eyes widen "Kai! Go faster!" Kai becomes furious "What!?" "The rope it's ripping just go the kid is our first priority!" Cole argues back "What about you-" Kai was cut off by a stump he gets scared looking down towards his friend who yelp "K-Keep g-going" They heard the sirens, Kai closes his eyes tightly and open them going up, once he got to the top, the paramedics took the 10 year putting him into a sketcher and putting blankets over the two teens who parents was their waiting for their "baby" to come back to them safe and sound.
Kai does not care and look down to Cole who was in obvious pain and back to his friends and sister "Where the damn fire truck?!" He yells at the others who was concern where their black ninja was "Their own their way" Zane tells him looking down to Cole who was now down there injured
"Is someone else down their" The paramedic asks "Yes our friend Cole, we need some rope" Kai says before Lloyd could even speak a word, They nod running to their trunk and giving them the rope "We have to get the kid to the hospital another ambulance will be on their way" The paramedic then runs back to trunk leaving for good with the parents and their children.
"Wait we should wait" Jay says to Kai who is setting up the new rope "Hell no" Kai says, annoying the others pleads for him not to go down the ravine, once he got down he use his mini light to flash it on Cole he nearly gasps at the sight his breath caught in his throat at his friend body, he was panting as his side was bleeding, he looks down to what was causing the bleeding which was a sharp rock impaled to his side it was an disturbing sight to see at all.
"Fuck Cole" Kai says under his breath sitting by his side also holding him, Kai began trying to staunch the blood but it barely helps, Cole begin feeling dizzy his head going fuzzy from the blood lost feeling his eyes feeling like they are closing by them self but then he looks up at Kai he was crying in fear of losing someone else, the raven holds onto Kai wrist making him stop trying to stop the blood, the sound of a siren of a fire trunk close "Stop Kai" Cole says weakly, he had the worst luck ever and he knows, he nearly died many times and once he truly did but was revived "Kai I think I'm not gonna live for this one" Kai eyes frowned in frustration at Cole "What, help is on the way j-just hold on idiot" Kai said hot tears flowing down his cheeks, Kai grips Cole arm bound to leave a mark.
"Don't cry Kai, I'll be fine" Cole says in a soft voice "How are you so okay with death!?" The red ninja yells "Let's just say with it happening almost happening a few times, and someone already waiting for me I'm not afraid anymore of it" Kai chokes on his tears "I-...Can't lose someone else Cole" People came down another rope their self the bigger mans came down to Cole side, Kai moved away, closing his eyes hearing Cole pain full cries as they pull the sharp spike out of him and they took Cole up in some hanger.
Kai grip his shoulder "Cole if you die I'm going to be pissed off" He tells himself.
Lloyd paced in the lobby of the hospital walking forward then turning around and walk the other way like a loop with his figure on his chin, the other elements sat in seats feeling some sort of guilt for not taking to mission that serious other then Kai and Zane, Sensei Wu sat silent not speaking a word since they got there, they stayed their for the longest of times then anyone else there Zane got up putting a hand to Lloyd shoulder "You should sit down Lloyd take a catnap" he said with a small smile the best he can muster, the leader only sighs deeply looking towards the two big doors they had a red sign reading EMERNGY ROOMS "I will"
-An Hour Later-
"For Cole Brookstone?" A sweet women voice called They all sat up upset Lloyd, Kai shake him awake, hearing the news he quickly wakes up fully "Is he okay?" He asks so fast the doctor probably didn't even hear it "Well I don't want to lie to any of you" She says sadly, making their anxiety get worse "He lost a lot of blood from sitting their for some time and the rock being pulled out made things a little worse to" The women looks up to them 'is he dead?' Lloyd asks himself "He is in a coma, we don't know for long exactly but it may be for a week or half a week but it can always be longer going to a year even but it's not that bad, I'm sorry"
Lloyd felt so guilty 'Was it my fault, why did I let him go down that dumb ravine and wait for the paramedics to get there' "Can we see him" Jay asks nervously "Yes just remember he can't here you from what we know" She leads the group to the Cole room, they walked in, it was deadly quiet, the only sound being the monitors of his heart rate being somewhat low which was concerning, and his brain activity which was almost at zero, he was just a heart beating at that moment.
Sensei Wu sat into a chair on the wall that was far from in front of the bed, their three to the right side and 2 on the left side Lloyd and Kai sat in the ones on the right and Nya and Zane sat in the two of three on the right side, He looked as pale as a dead person Lloyd sat in the chair in front of Cole, The doctor left telling them to call her if anything happens.
Kai stared at Cole body, he hate he had to watch his friend slowing nearly die in his hands if the Fire man came any later, it was horrible to think of that happening to Cole of all people who don't deserve to die in pain.
Lloyd fidget with his figures just by looking at Cole lifeless body, Kai sees this "Lloyd relax he'll be okay, just believe in him to fight" Lloyd breaths deeply "I'm sorry...It's my fault guys I-I Let him go down t-there if I just was thin-" "It's not your fault Lloyd we thought it would be simple easy we was wrong" Zane reinsures him "Do not blame yourselves "But Sensei Wu-" "Hush I said do not blame yourselves, learn from your mistakes so something tragic like this won't happen again" Wu cuts Jay off "Yes Sensei" They say altogether, they sat in silence Wu taking a mini nap.
It's been about 2 years (Lol JK) it's been about 4 days, he finally woken up with a pounding head ache "How are you feeling?" His assigned doctor asks, he looks up to her dizzy "Mm' How long have I been out" He mumbles, she smiles lightly "4 days as expected, your family been worry about you, they are on their way to see you" Cole smiles knowing how much they cared, the only problem was that he was in hospital, he hated them, he is grateful for their help when saving lives, but he still hated the thought of going to one ever since his mother came here.
"Relax" She tells him looking to the heart monitor "What's is bothering you, you can tell me anything its my job to keep you comfortable and healthy" She states not holding her check bored with the pencil ready to white "Okay but please don't tell the others about this" She nods kindly "I- My mom the last time I've ever remember going to the hospital was for my mom" Cole chokes out holding back the tears his panic only growing, she became more concern "Yes I know your mom past away...long time ago when you was child on your records" He hates the words past away at it's fullest to "I'm sorry" She says with a bow of her head "It's not your fault for her death it was my, I made her sicker by wanting to do so many childish-" "Hush she did those things with you herself I bet she wanted to spend her few moments of her life with you before she left" He felt tears flow from his eyes.
She smiles softly and gives him water and tissue, he gladly drinks it giving it back and wipe his tears "Don't worry I won't tell anyone about this" And on cue they came busting in, Cole jumps "OH MY GOSH I THOUGHT YOU WAS GOING TO DIE MAN!" Jay yells at Cole with small tears in his eyes, Jay hugs him tightly, the others was speechless from seeing up and almost well, Cole grips Jay blue shirt tightly "I miss you to dude" Jay release Cole whipping his tears away stepping away from the bed smiling it almost looked like he was going to cry again.
Like that Lloyd gave Cole a tight hug with Nya and Zane "God I was going to blame myself if you was to die Cole" Lloyd admits to him, The former leader just laughs he began feeling like crying to but wouldn't let himself let them see him cry like this "I'm happy to see you guys again" responded to him patting him on the back as he shed his own tears on his shoulder, they pull away, Cole looks to Kai who stood by the door arms crossed looking down "Kai..." Cole says trying to get his attention, Kai does not responds.
"Kai I did not mean to upset you" Kai glance up at Cole, he was glad Cole was alive yet he was so angry "I thought you was not gonna make it...I thought you was going to actually die in my hands that night man!" Cole stays quiet letting Kai release his anger to him, Nya was about to tell him to stop but Cole just holds her back from doing so with a nod of no "I know I know, I'm sorry I scared you, I'm happy to see you" Kai walks over to the right side of the bed and look into Cole eyes.
Cole smiles painfully "Did you mean what you said?" ... "Yes I did" Kai goes to Cole ear an whispers "Are you suicidal?" Cole eyes wide "No no no! I promise I'm not Kai don't worry" He nods not to convince but gives a smile back and hugs him back "I'm glad your here" He said hugging him a little tighter "Me to Kai" they pull away "Now Jay I hope you didn't beat my record!" He smirked at Jay face who became proud of himself "Indeed I did cake boy" They all laugh.
"Whatever Motor mouth"
