The sun rose and Winston was the first one up.

"Ok everyone, it is time to keep moving."

Everyone began to rise up from their slumber. Tony woke up, Kate and Humphrey got the pups up, Lilly and Garth were waking up, and then Waya rolled onto his belly. He let out a big yawn, but then realized something. Something or someone was missing.

"Where is Guardian," he spoke. Everyone began to look around. He then felt three hits on his stomach. He turned and saw a hand. The hand was frantically trying to get the large wolf's attention. It then fell limp. Waya quickly rose and saw the crushed human. Dean rose up gasping for air.

"Forgive me Pup."

"I...huh...would say something clever... and mean...huh, but... I am trying to catch my breath...huh."

Dean stood up and dusted himself off. He had caught his breath and began to speak.

"If you think suffocating me is a joke, then you have a sick sense of humor." He packed everything he had and started walking. Waya rolled his eyes and stretched. He then began to follow the rest of the wolves. It was quiet for about an hour into the journey, but then Stinky decided to speak.

"Uh, excuse me Mr. Waya sir." Waya looked down at the pup.

"Yes young one?"

"I was wondering if you came from a pack?"

"No pup, I didn't. I actually became this when Guardians' family saved me."

Everyone was in a bit of shock at hearing this.

"Really, how did they save you," asked Claudette.

"It's a long story pups."

"Waya, it looks like we have a long way to go, so a long story is just the thing to pass the time," said Dean.

"Very well, it was a very long time ago. I was apart of a tribe of humans known as the Amarock tribe. We secluded ourselves from the other tribes, for our tribe was different. We were more akin to the spirit realm and our ways of magic. We lived in the deepest forests of Alaska. It was a shock to the tribe when three humans that did not look like us came into our tribe. I was a strong warrior. I was one of the strongest. I was arrogant and believed too much into my own strength. I challenged these people to a fight, so they would leave. One of the humans stepped forward to fight me. This human was strong, I could tell that just by looking at him. I threw a punch to this outsider. I felt the punch connect, but it was not with his face, it was with his hand. He caught my fist. I as astonished by his strength. No one had ever did that to me before him. He punched me and I then saw nothing. I awoke to water being splashed on my face. I rose quickly to see that it was the outsider that splashed me. I bowed to him, for he had beaten me with only a punch. I wished to know more about him. He told me his name was Jesse, his wife's name was Sarah, and his brother in-law was Julius. They came here to learn our ways. They said they held great power, and knew many skills. I wanted to learn more of their skills. I chose to teach them our ways if they taught me theirs. I grew close with them. Jesse and I became brothers. This displeased the leaders of the tribe. They sought to hide our ways and never to display them to the outsiders. The devised a plan to entrap my friends. They knew Jesse was strong, so they created a wolf mask that can trap someone and use their power. I was not going to let them use my friends as tools, so when the leaders executed their plan, I executed my own. I jumped in between my friends and my leaders. I was trapped in the mask. I remember everything from my prison. It was more of a portal. I was transported to the after life. I could see my ancestors and many other souls of the dead. They told me that I have been called to a higher purpose. They never told me that purpose, but they bestowed upon me a power only heard from legend. I then became this wolf and obtained other powers upon the ones I already had. I could not age, or be killed easily. They said that the only way I could be killed, would be if my mask was broken, or if my family or friends killed me. I am also able to speak to the dead. After they explained this to me, I then saw a portal appear in front of me. I then saw Jesse. I leapt through the portal and I landed on Jesse. He was confused at first, but I quickly explained to him what I was told. He then informed me of what happened in my absence. Apparently what felt like hours for me was weeks for my friends. He told me that he became so enraged by the leaders treachery that he took their powers away. He forced them to tell him how to unbind the spell. They stated that only family, or someone who was deemed family can free the imprisoned. After this the tribe rebelled against the leaders and banished them from the land. My brother became the chief and entrusted the mask to Jesse. After some time he learned the spell that the elders used. I learned that Once Jesse did the spell, his blood relatives alone could send me back to the mask. Over the years, I continued to train with Jesse and my ancestors. I learned that my tribe soon mixed into other tribes and we are now mixed into many tribes. I learned that my bloodline is special, for they still retain some of their power from the Amarocks. Many years went by and I soon saw that Sarah had become pregnant. Jesse pulled me aside and asked one task of me. He asked me to watch over his children if he and Sarah became unable to do so. I gave him my word, so whenever the Guardian's Pups summon me, then I will protect them with my life."

Everyone was awestruck at the life story or Waya.

"I love it when you tell us that story Waya," said Dean.

"Why? I have told you it many times."

"Cause if that didn't happen, then you wouldn't have met me."

"I guess you are right Guardian . I am thankful to have met you."

"Waya," asked Tony.

"Yes."

"You can speak to the dead, right?"

"Yes I can."

" prove it."

"Very well, who would you like me to contact."

"My great grandfather," said Stinky.

"Very well, I need a description."

His name was Stinky, his eyes were brown and he was dark brown," said Winston.

Waya's eyes glowed blue, but changed to brown.

"Winston, my son," said an unknown voice."

Winston couldn't believe it, he heard his father's voice coming out of Waya's mouth.

"How do I know it is you," he spoke.

"When you were a pup, you followed me on a hunt. You were so young, and when we got home your mother punished me because she thought I brought you with me." The voice giggled at this, but stopped once he felt an embrace. He looked to see Winston hugging him. He returned the hug and began to speak.

"I must leave Winston, Waya's power is fading. He can only hold the conversation for so long. I am proud of all of you and know that I am always watching."

Waya's eyes glowed blue and returned to normal.

"He is gone Winston," his voice returned to normal.

"Thank you Waya. You have no idea how happy you have made this wolf."

"Thank you sir."

Tony then spoke

"I would like to speak with someone in the afterlife."

"It shall be done, but I can't hold it as long as I did with Stinky. Just state the name of who you wish to speak, and give me a description.

"Talia, she is light brown with green eyes, my mate, and Garth's mother."

Garth's face grew pale. He knew this name. He only remembers small glimpses of who that name belonged to. He never stops thinking of his mother.

Waya's eyes glowed blue for a second, but they returned to normal with Waya looking at him perplexed.

"Forgive me Tony, but I cannot find her. She is not dead."

"Garth and Tony's mouth dropped. They then grew happy, for they had hope that she was alive."

"She's alive. I wanted to know that all these years," cried Tony.

"Thank you so much Waya."

"You are welcome."

With that said everyone continued the rest of the trek happier than ever. The rest of the trek was silent, but it was a good silence, peaceful.

It was now evening and everyone was about to lay down and sleep.

"Ok everyone, we should make it to Banff tomorrow. We will save Runt and head home, so get a good nights rest," spoke Winston.

Everyone laid down and began to sleep.

"Don't crush me Waya, please."

"I will do my best Guardian."
