Dean was playing with the pups and Humphrey when he realized something. The rest of his supplies were in his old den. He thought he should go and retrieve them. He tapped Humphrey and he quickly turned his attention to the pup.

"What's up buddy," he said.

"Uh, I left some stuff at my old den that I need to get back."

"Oh ok, pups! We are going on an adventure!"

All the pups stopped and met their father right in front of him.

"Dean needs to run to his den, and since I don't want us to get separated, we will go with him."

They said ok, and the all looked at Dean.

"First, we need to go back to your den, so I can grab a bag."

With that said, he started walking back to the den. The rest began following him. The pups decided to ask Dean some questions.

"What do you need to get from your old den Dean," asked Runt.

"Just some clothes, and box, and a picture."

"What are those," asked Claudette.

Just as she asked that they had returned to the den. Dean shifted, grabbed his bag and began his trek to the other den.

"Clothes are what humans wear over their flesh, like these, these are clothes." Dean then pulled on his shirt. He then made a disgusted face and looked at his shirt. He then sniffed it and jumped back disgusted.

"Whoa, that is ripe. Why didn't you tell me? I thought wolves had a great sense of smell."

"We do, but now you blend in with every other scent of the forest. You don't smell like a human," spoke Humphrey.

"Yeah, plus sweaty wet pup," he retorted. This made Humphrey chuckle.

"Ok, that too."

"Yeah I need to change them, and to answer your other questions, pictures are like a moment that can be seen even after the moment has gone by."

"How can it do that," asked Stinky.

Dean pulled out his phone and turned on his camera.

"Guy's, come here and get in close."

They stopped and grouped together. Dean got in close and everyone was in the frame. He pushed the button, and scrolled through the photos. He found the picture with Humphrey next to him and the pups in front of him.

"See, this is a picture."

"That is so cool," said Humphrey.

Everyone was in awe at the spectacle.

"And as for a box, it is like my bag, but it is harder."

"What's in it," asked Runt.

"I don't know, but mom said I could open after three days of my uncle being defeated."

The rest of the trek was silent until they came up upon Dean's former den. The wolves looked at the entrance and inside of it and realized something that they hadn't when they first saw it.

"Your den is kinda small," said Humphrey.

"Well, good thing I'm living with you guys, right."

"Yeah."

Dean walked in and grabbed his stuff. He took a glance at his photo before shoving it into his bag. He then proceeded to get his extra clothes into his bag. He then took one last look at the inside of his first den.

"Man, it is a little bit crammed in here."

He then walked out and was greeted by Humphrey and the pups.

"You ready to go," he asked.

"Born ready."

"Good, I think it's time we head home. Kate should be there later on."

"Cool"

With that they headed home. On their way there, Dean saw a small pond. It was barely visible over the bushes He didn't say anything, but continued walking.

"That's the perfect place to wash up. It is secluded, and it is close to the den," he thought.

They then made it to the den after a few more minutes of walking.

As soon as they did that Dean sat his stuff down with the rest of his stuff. He pulled out his clothes, and out of the pile, he pulled out a black shirt, grey pants, socks, and underwear. He then tapped Humphrey.

"What's up buddy?"

"I am gonna wash up a little."

"Ok."

With that, he made his way to the pond. He removed his clothes and turned on his music. He then shifted into a pup and stuck his paw into the water. It was cold, but it wasn't as cold if he was a human. He began to rub the water on himself and began to wash the dirt and grime off himself. He began to sing to the music he closed his eyes and became entranced in his own little world.

Close by, two wolves were walking down a path.

The territory had no intrusions. I thought King would try something," spoke Garth.

"I didn't, after dealing with Waya, I wouldn't dare go after us," spoke Kate.

"Yeah, but King is persistent. He won't stop after one attack, and do you hear singing?"

Kate and Garth quieted down and listened.

Both of them were shocked to hear someone was singing close by. They followed the singing to where it became louder and ended up right behind some bushes. They peaked their heads over them and saw the most unexpected thing. They saw Dean ,in his pup form, washing himself and what seemed to be what he wore. He was singing to the song playing on his phone. His eyes were closed. Kate and Garth tried so hard to contain their laughter. Kate silently moved to the front of the unsuspecting pup. Dean just continued to bathe and wash his clothes. Garth moved right next to Kate. Everything was quiet, all that was heard was the water and the singing pup. Once the song finished on the radio, Dean opened his eyes. His eyes grew wide once he realized that he was no longer alone. He screamed and fell back into the water. He got out of the pond and saw Kate and Garth laying on the ground laughing.

"Ok, ok, you got me. Laugh it up," spoke the pup. He soon started laughing with them. Once they stopped laughing Kate started to speak.

"So, what are you doing out here besides attracting an audience?"

"I was washing up my stuff because I thought I was smelly. Also, how much of that did you here?"

"Oh, we heard a full song," spoke Garth.

"Sorry I made a commotion."

"No, you are ok. In fact, you sounded pretty good," said Kate.

"Lilly would be proud," spoke Garth.

"How so?"

"She can howl and sing like an angel," spoke Garth.

"My sister was the same way. If you think I am good, you should here my sister. I am nothing compared to her."

Dean shook himself off, and he grabbed his wet clothes. Kate decided to speak.

"I don't know, you sounded very good. You are hard to beat."

"I'll show you."

Dean turned off his music and went through his photos. He then found a video video.

"Look at this."

Kate and Garth looked at the small device and were confused. They were seeing and hearing this little girl singing.

"Is your sister trapped in your phone," asked Garth.

"No, it's a video. It's like a memory that we can show others. It's like a picture, and if you want to know what a picture is, ask Humphrey or the pups."

The three continued to watch the video. The girls voice was angelic for one so young. The video showed her singing to a baby.

"Is that you," asked Kate.

"Yep, that's me. Mom said I was born a month before this video was taken. She also told me that my sister would sing that to me to calm me down when I was crying. We found out later that it wasn't the song, but her voice that calmed me down. My mom and dad would sing to me too, but they told me they only filmed when Drew sang to me."

Kate looked at the small creature in the small bed. It had blonde hair, blue eyes, pink skin and an adorable smile.

"Aww, you look so cute," she spoke.

"Thank you."

With that his sister finished singing, and he put his phone away.

"Uh, could you please turn around."

"Why?"

"It's a human thing. We don't like others to see us naked, or without our clothes."

"Uh, ok."

They both turned around.

Dean quickly shifted and put his clothes on.

"Ok, you can look now."

They both turned around, and they see Dean in his human form. He is wearing black sweats, socks, and a blue shirt. He put on his shoes, and picked up his old wet clothes, and began walking. The wolves followed him from behind.

Soon, they were all at the den and Garth decided to leave and head to his den with Lilly waiting. Dean walked into the den, and Kate followed.

"Hey, look who I found, or I guess look who found me," spoke Dean with jazz hands. Everyone came and greeted Kate and asked her about her day.

"Oh, it was great. Garth and I patrolled the border, and we were thinking. He and Lilly were talking and they decided to invite us to dinner at their den tomorrow night."

"Sounds great to me," spoke Humphrey.

The three pups were happy. Dean was a little nervous, but tried to hide it.

" Other than that, nothing else happened. Oh, has Dean told any of you how well of a singer he is."

Everyone was now looking at the boy. He looked at the floor and twiddled his thumbs.

"Dean, you can sing," asked Runt.

"Uh... a little, but I'm not that great. My sister can sing much better than me."

"I have to disagree Dean, I have heard both of you sing, and I like your singing better," spoke Kate.

"Wait, you met Dean's sister," asked Humphrey.

"No, I just have a video of my sister singing," said Dean.

"You can listen to it if you want to."

Humphrey and the pups nodded their heads at this. It is not everyday a wolf gets to experience human technology. Dean pulled out his phone and showed them the video of Drew singing. At the end of it the wolves were in awe. Such a young creature, sing so beautifully was very rare.

"Ok, now that we heard your sister, we need to hear you," spoke Humphrey.

"Ok."

Dean scrolled to another video on his phone.

"This was taken a year ago."

Dean showed all of them a video of him singing in front of his family. Once he was done, the wolves stared at him.

"Can't you sing in front of us now, like you did with mom," asked Claudette.

"I am sorry, but I only sing by myself, or when my family is around. I just get nervous. I am sorry."

"No, it's ok. It's normal to be shy, but I am sure you'll get over it sooner or later," said Humphrey.

"I hope so." Dean then let out a yawn.

"On that note, it's time for bed," said Kate.

Dean went outside and said his peace to his family.

"No matter where you are, no matter how far, my family, Waya, be well, and goodnight."

He walked back in and laid down next to Runt. He said his goodnights to everyone and the did the same. He then closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep. What was different about this slumber was the fact that Dean had the lyrics to the lullaby his sister use to sing to him playing in his head.

He later realized that a few years later, they were the lyrics to a song from a movie. A movie he watched when he was very little. It was "The Wizard of Oz." The song was "Somewhere Over the Rainbow." His parents said he hated the movie, but when his sister sang the song, he would instantly calm down and eventually fell asleep.

Over in the lower 48 states, a wolf is humming the exact same tune in a train car.

"I use to stay by the door and listen to her sing to him. I agreed with Dean, I hated the movie, but his sister could sing beautifully," he said this to himself. These thoughts became a double edged sword to Waya. He felt happy to have them, but they also hold another feeling, sadness. He fell asleep with a stray tear in his eye.
