The next day went on great. Dean had no nightmares the night before, he woke up fully replenished of energy. He played with the pups. He washed after. It was now the evening time and it was time for everyone to go and eat with Garth and Lilly at their den. At the moment, Dean was trying to make his hair look presentable. He was using his camera as a mirror. He had one hair that would not stay down.

"Stupid hair, stay down," he mumbled to himself.

He then saw something in his camera that he wasn't expecting. He saw a paw gently pat his hair down. The paw was wet, doused in slobber. The paw was yellowish brown. This paw was none other than Kates. Dean looked at the camera and see that his hair stood down. He was surprised. He tried everything and all it took was wolf slobber. He turned back to her in surprise.

"Thank you."

"I saw you struggling, so I thought I could help," she said.

"Yeah, at the rate at which I was going, I would have been there all night before I either got the hair down, or I get tired and cut it off."

She laughed.

"Well, now that your hair is down, are you ready to eat."

"Yes ma'am."

"Great, everyone else is ready to go."

"Cool," and with that, Dean grabbed his phone and earbuds and began to walk with the family to the dinner.

They were a few minutes into the stroll when Runt decided to ask something that he has been wondering.

"Hey mom, do you know what we are eating?"

"No, Garth wouldn't tell me. He said it was a surprise."

Everyone began to wonder what exactly they were going to eat.

Dean's mind drifted off to elsewhere. He was thinking about his family and Waya. He was wondering where they were and if they were well.

"Dean?"

Runt's question was unanswered as Dean's mind was still wondering.

"Dean?"

He then tapped Dean, and he jolted. His head moved in every direction in his state of confusion before his eyes landed on Runt.

"Sorry, I was thinking about other things. What is your question?"

"What do you think we will be eating?"

Dean thought about it for a moment before he provided Runt with an answer.

"If I were to guess, I would say some kind of deer. Now, what specific type of deer is a mystery to me."

"Good guess, I was thinking elk."

"Could be, or it could be moose."

"Well, we are about to find out because we are here," said Humphrey.

Lilly stepped out of the den as Humphrey finished that sentence.

"Welcome to our den. The creature we will be eating is waiting for you to see. Please, make yourselves at home."

Everyone said their thanks, and entered. Dean was not prepared for what he was about to see. He walked in to see Garth sitting next to the biggest creature Dean had ever seen up close. He could lay on one antler alone and still have room to move. The head alone could fit all. Four pups from antler to antler, and still have room to spare. There was no mistaking what this creature was. It was a deer, and to be specific, it was a moose.

"Wow," was all that Dean could say.

"How did you manage to get a moose, Garth," asked Kate.

"Well, it was already dead when I found it while I was patrolling. Some other wolves had already dug into it, so I talked to Winston and my father. There wasn't enough to feed the whole pack, but enough to feed all of us, so they let Lilly and I have it. We decided to invite you guys. That's about all this carcass can give to us."

Dean walked up to Garth.

"Thank you for inviting me to your den, and inviting me to dinner."

"Hey, no sweat. You saved my nephew, the least we can do is ask you to eat with us. So, have you ever had a moose."

"Had it, this is my first time seeing one up close. In fact, besides the bear, this is the largest creature I have seen in my whole life."

"You are in for a treat. Out of all the animals I have had the pleasure of eating, moose is my favorite."

"That's good."

With that everyone gathered around the carcass.

Dean's anticipation only grew more the closer he got. Over the time that he has been staying with the pack, his appetite for raw meat only grew more. He can now see a carcass and gorge himself on it with no trouble at all.

"Dig in everyone," spoke Lilly.

One by one everyone began digging in. Dean bit into the meat. His eyes grew wide at the assault his taste buds are being hit with. It was extremely delicious to the pup. He bit into it more. Garth looked at him and smiled.

"So, how is it Dean?"

Dean looked at him and smiled.

"It is good. I really like it."

He continued to eat it, but he was interrupted when he became the topic of discussion.

"So Dean," began Lilly.

He looked up at her.

"I heard you can sing."

Garth giggled at the question. Dean was taken off guard by it.

"Uh, well I sometimes sing when I am cleaning myself, or when I am alone."

"Do you do it in front of others."

"Uh, I only did it around my family."

"Are you shy?"

"Kinda."

"You'll get over it when you're older. You'll need to if you wanna howl with you girlfriend."

"What?"

"You do howl with someone you like, right? Don't humans do that?"

"Uh, no. Humans sometimes sing, but other times they just date, and get married. My dad would sing to my mom, and they fell in love."

"Huh, the more you know," spoke Humphrey.

"Yeah."

The rest of the night continued greatly. The moose was just bones, and everyone was happy and with full stomachs.

It was dark and everyone began heading home. Everyone thanked Garth and Lilly for the meal and the headed back to the den. On their way there, Dean was thinking of other things once again.

"Waya would've liked that," he thought.

Across the United States, and crossing over into Mexico. In Chihuahua, Mexico to be exact. A black wolf with white markings that made him look like a living skeleton.

"I am too weak to go any further. If I am going to do this, I need to do this now," spoke the real Waya.

His eyes glowed a bright blue. He then let out a giant burst of power. The trees shook from the shockwave.

Back in Jasper, Dean was about to walk into the den. He stopped and began holding his head. He fell to his knees.

"Waya," he whimpered.

Everyone ran to his aid.

"Dean, what's wrong," asked Kate.

"Dean, talk to me."

The boy opened his eyes, but they were not as they should of been. They were glowing bright blue.

"Someone is using a lot of magic."

In Ontario, Canada, a Waya clone was about to be sliced by a serrated sword, but it vanished before the sword could touch it.

"What," thought the owner of the sword.

He then dropped to one knee and held his head. He was experiencing the same pain that Dean was. All the same symptoms. The difference was that his eyes were dark purple when they glowed. The man smiled. This smile was an evil one.

"I found you, he said.

He then vanished.

In Mexico, the clones of Waya were returning to him. He was slowly growing stronger. The take away of the clones is that they drain Waya.

"Much better, now I will wait."

What felt like an eternity for Dean only lasted for a few minutes. His head managed to stop throbbing and his eyes returned to normal. He had help walking to the river. Kate helped him. Runt, Stinky, and Claudette were following close behind. Humphrey had left to get Eve. This was at Kate's order, and against Dean's wishes. Dean hasn't said a word since he last spoke. His eyes remained open. He was now looking at his reflection in the water. The figure in the reflection had a small amount of blood coming from his nose. He quickly wiped it away and began to wash his face. He then felt a paw touch him. He quickly looked to the direction and saw that Humphrey had returned and he brought Eve and Winston.

"Hello Dean," she spoke.

He just turned his head back to his reflection.

"Would you mind telling me why Humphrey woke me up."

"I took in too much magic."

His voice came out horse and as a whisper.

"What?"

"I absorbed too much magic. As I get older, I can take in more, but if I take in too much now, it can hurt."

"Did you do this to yourself?"

"No, I think it was Waya. He made himself known to about anyone who can be affected by magic."

"How do you feel?"

"Sore and tired. My head hurts."

"Ok, I want you to rest tomorrow. No playing, or walking. I want you resting."

"Oh great, den arrest. Thank you Eve, and I am sorry you had to wake up for me."

"Oh nonsense, you are fine. It's my job to help pack mates, and until someone comes here for you, you are a pack mate. Come along dear."

"Goodnight Everyone," he spoke. With that, the two left.

Dean stood up and wobbled a little. Kate moved to help him, but he held a hand out to stop her.

"I am ok," was all he said.

With that he walked to the den. He said his goodnight to his family, then to everyone else. He then shifted into his pup form and fell asleep.

Waya was nestled into a small cave in a canyon. He heard coyotes howling in the distance. He sent a howl in the air back. His howl silenced them. He curled up in his small home away from home. He too fell asleep under the stars.

The man with the serrated sword was brushing his teeth. Spit out the toothpaste, and he cleaned himself off. He looked into the mirror. He then saw images, images he wanted to bury. These images contained faces. These faces were cold, lifeless, broken, and there eyes held no life anymore. For a better term. These faces that once held so much joy and life, are now dead. The life this man once had was no more. He then smashed the mirror.

"I am one step closer to destroying the one thing on this planet that has harmed me, and that is why I am celebrating. I am going to take my time. I am going to enjoy what I do to this abomination. First, I am going to get rid of his lap dog. He has been a thorn in my side for far to long. I have to hand it to him though; he can pick a very nice place to fight. I am sick and tired of snow and rain, so I am glad to oblige to his stipulation. He chose Mexico, and I need somewhere warm. This place is cold." The man ended his monologue. He laid in bed and fell asleep.

Three beings, all going to bed. All three of these beings were certain of what they were going to do the next day. One was going to rest, and the other two knew what most of tomorrow would have in store for them, but the rest was a mystery. They knew one thing. The next day would be the day they meet. They will meet, and they will fight. They have different motives. One wishes for the protection of someone; one wants the destruction of that same someone. They don't know who will win this battle, but they both know that the future will be determined by this battle.
