We finally reach a part of present life as Demon Slayer between Obanai and Mitsuri!

There will be a lot of characters and Hashiras introduced during their time. So you are expected to see a multiplied way of dialogue and I will try to keep it clean, understandable for you all

Author's note

1. My storyline will begin here as an early chapter will narrate you the feeling and thought of Obanai which helps him sort his feelings to her and how to react to her.

2. Warning: There would be an implication or joke in this fic about Mitsuri's appearance. I made it for being a part of the story and from my imagination as one girl among a group of hashira, what would happen and how they view or tease her. I will say it again, please get it as entertainment, I didn't intend to make an offense or any negativity.

ACT 4

You also helped the others. Your kindness helped the others as you tried to lift everyone up. I knew everyone felt that way too.

"My children, thank you for your hard work and it would be fruitful in future so.. that's all for today" At the place of Oyakata-sama where all Pillars presented for an official pillar meeting and it went smooth. They began to stand up, put their respective gestures on their posture as their master still sat there, drinking hot tea to enjoy a morning routine to observe the view.

Except Mitsuri, she was the one who seemed fidgety and nervous throughout the whole meeting.

"Kyaaa I'm so excited for my first meeting as Hashira" It was her first time to present in the meeting as Love Pillar in an official meeting. Her excitement made her heart race in her chest upticked than everyone and it caused her to sweat for no reason. "I think I make everything good and no mistake, right?" asked her mentor who stood beside her with a smile.

"Hm! Kanroji-kun, my student everything is fine so you don't need to put much pressure. Let's do our best next mission together" her face glowed brighter when receiving a compliment from her mentor. She clasped her face with her hand as if, to maintain the bashfulness over her face.

"ara ara you look really exciting, Kanroji, I saw your hands were sweating too much, girl you're really a deal!" Shinobu poked in with her joke that made her let out an astonished gasp and wipe her hand with her haori and forced her to have weak laugh when they also chuckled by her doing. "I'm not criticizing you, relaxe!"

"I got nervous easily, Shinobu-chan and it's ha-ha my first time here among every Pillar altogether and I can't restrain myself from being excited," Mitsuri confessed.

Shinobu never gave a thought to that thing and it made her amuse "You will get used to it, Kanroji. Maybe this might help you" Shinobu handed her a small blanket "You can use it and return to me next time" Mitsuri made a gesture to refuse but Shinobu forced it on her sweating palm "take it, Kanroji. It's okay for me because you always help me to organize and clean things at butterfly estate. Take it as my gratitude"

"Awww, Shinobu-chan thank you" She took it and wiped her hand around and kept it in her haori "I will wash and return it to use within tomorrow" and two woman hashira exchanged a hug so amiable.

"There, there, you are one of us now so don't have to be tense around right Tomioka-san look he befriends with the others by making that weird deadpan face see he still can keep company with us" Insect Pillar gave a sarcastic compliment to Water Pillar who gave them an emotionless glance. Mitsuri laughed slightly as she felt a bit distant to him and didn't want to act carelessly toward him, in her eyes, she considered him as a reclusive and mysterious person.

"You seem closed to Tomioka-san" said Mitsuri while Shinobu shook her head "Not at all I tried to befriend with him because everyone hate him so I feel sympathy for him tho"

Mitsuri decided to give it a try "Is that so.. Hi Tomioka-san" her voice was weak from her nervousness toward him. All she got back was "Mnn" and he just nodded to her. Mitsuri felt it was not an easy task now to get close to every Pillar.

Obanai set one of his elbow to rest his head on and another elbow set around his mouth as he could hide his gaze everything below the brunch and he also could see her face expression from here - she seemed to have several and different expression while meeting, rather much than the others from his perspective and seemed into every detail, that's why he felt a weak smile coming on his face. He felt the air in the meeting seemed relaxed, not tense when she's around,

"And.. Muichiro-kun, are you doing fine today?" Mitsuri turned and asked the youngest pillar who stood and stared bleak to nothing, giving her a nod and hmm friendly, even if he never gave her a proper conversation.

Obanai watched and noted that she could do well with other Pillars. Now Mitsuri was stretching her arm up in the air and then her eyes moved and spotted his eyes..

Her mouth hung down in the shape of smile and waved openly with her mouth moved into I-gu-ro-san in a hushed tone as if trying to greet him but didn't want to make it a big scene.

Obanai felt really off-guard, almost choked and fell from the brunch. His face showed how surprised he was till she had to chuckle when he jolted and almost fell down. Trying to remain collected and waved back to her, Obanai exhaled to relieve his inside nervousness. He never thought she would greet him straightly like this even in the meeting place.

Insect Pillar looked around and thought Love Pillar might try to reach Snake Pillar so she intervened "Oh Iguro-san why don't you come down and meet her. She's our sweet little Love Pillar and her name is Kanroji Mitsuri."

"I knew her" he answered coldly and pretended to look into the sky and closed his eyes.

"Hmm.. how come, Kanroji?" Shinobu asked curiously.

Mitsuri let out a dry laugh and replied "Yeah since before I became Hashira, Shinobu-chan. Rengoku-san introduced us to each other" Flame Pillar nodded to support her argument. "Yeah! it's a long history "

"I see, I see, what do you think about him? Iguro-san is not such a jerk like Tomioka-san but he's quite isolated and lives in his own world with Kaburamaru" making a satire, Shinobu.

"I think Iguro-san is a good and gentle man. He did take good care of me since we first met and Kaburamaru is also cute " her answer made some Pillar expressions twisted in thought. While Obanai just hid his face on his long sleeve to cover how shy he was. You don't have to tell the others so openly like that, Kanroji.. he grumbled, Yeah he knew those were not his typical character in Demon Slayers Corps.

"Oh I almost forgot!" Mitsuri spluttered and sprung up like a grasshopper but this was what he could hear and look at her in mild interest and waited for her turn. Even Oyakata-sama also paid attention to her with a curious gesture.

Mitsuri scrunched her skirt bag and there she picked out a bag of colorful candies and showed it to everyone.

"I bought candies for you guys! Wanna have some?" Mitsuri proudly and excitedly presented her sweet. She handed it to Shinobu and Kyojuro as both of them stood near her the most. They thanked her and she also signaled Mist Pillar to take it because he just only stared at it with the same no emotion.

"It's yummy! Not too sweet" Kyojuro commented as well as Shinobu did.

Mitsuri turned around and saw her master sitting and looking at them with a gentle smile "Would you like some? Oyakata-sama" everyone flinched but the master said "it looks really tasty so I think I should try some as you recommended to us" She ran and gave one to master casually and ran back to her group. Everyone never thought this kind of incident would happen within this compound. They were demon slayers and their sole aim was to exterminate the demon so they rarely paid attention to the small thing, which was different after she was here. Atmosphere turned pleasant with her candies, some asked for her candy and started a conversation with her.

Obanai gazed and sigh. It's not from tiredness but from the atmosphere in the air. .Her personality was a fresh breath in the air as if she saved everyone with her kindness and heart to make life more colorful like that of candies. She poured her kind heart toward everyone as the smallest act to show it was about giving and sharing. She performed it happily and he could see her smile so bright again.

Later on, somebody excused for their leave to do their own errand and left some Pillar there at the meeting place. Mitsuri found it's not as nervous as she thought at first to be present among the strongest swordsmen here. She felt good at least she could talk to every pillar even some of them refuse to take a sweet as her kind.

"Iguro-san, you wanna have some? I still have a lot,Iguro-san you can come down and get it..or you want me to climb to you? ha-ha" Mitsuri said playfully and grinned wide but Obanai as ever, waved his hand to deny her doing, hesitantly

"N-no you don't have to. It's very high!, Kanroji I'm going to get down now" Till it looked like they were cooing and wooing around and Shinobu pretended to clear her throat.

Insect Pillar started her topic "I never imagine someone would wear this female uniform, Kanroji"

Mitsuri blinked and turned to Shinobu with an awkward expression "Eh! I want to ask you the same! Shinobu-chan I thought you had to wear the same uniform like mine! They gave this uniform to me. The measurement is too stiff for me and they told me it's my official Pillar uniform so I thought I should wear this" Shinobu allowed herself to have a casual laugh at her innocence.

"Form Sewing department right? oh my my Kanroji-san. I have to say that Scum Glass gave me this uniform too but I burnt it all in front of his eyes and his glass. I can lend oil and lighter to you, Kanroji. A lot of women did this too" Shinobu gave detail while Mitsuri stood uneasy as her revelation because Shinobu wore normal male uniform as the same she always wore in every day unlike her who thought all women slayers had to wear this uniform in meetings and important occasions. That's why only her wearing the much exposed uniform.

Mitsuri almost shrieked "Ughh! What should I do, Shinobu-chan! Isn't it acceptable in meetings! I'm afraid I would make everyone disappointed on me"

Insect Pillar poked her "Only thing you need to do is burn this uniform, Kanroji, believe me. It will work but I think you should burn in front of that Scum Glass"

"Ahhh I don't think so, Shinobu-chan I can't. I'm afraid I will have to trouble them to make mine a new one and if I did it, I will have no uniform to work!" Mitsuri managed a weak smile and sigh.

"Ara ara Rengoku-san, you should take care of your student when she burnt all her uniforms! you may lend her your old one before they could make her a new uniform" Shinobu talked to Flame Pillar who stood beside Love Pillar "It's fine by me so let's hear Kanroji-kun first what do you think?"

"A-no.. I don't know what to do, Rengoku-senpai" Obanai on the tree gathered detail and tried to think who Scum glass that made this uniform for her to wear such thing.

"Kachou, Who's that Scum Glass?" asked Obanai. Because he also wanted to know who's behind making her uniform like this. He hated the fact that her uniform could draw much attention. He didn't know how many men would secretly sneak a glance to gaze on her body. But one person he knew right that was that Ninja who looked down at her and pretended to say something to her.

"Hah? you wanna know, Iguro-san? He's the head of the sewing department in the Demon Hunter group. Why're you asking? You happen to have a problem with him? because I thought your uniform covered all your body now, unlike her" Shinobu beamed an unreadable smile.

Obanai snorted and rolled his eyes "I didn't mean that. I just want to make sure he will have no brain to do this kind of thing again" after that Mitsuri cried in protest.

"Ahh Iguro-san, you don't have to! I don't want to trouble them. Please I think I would find the right time and ask them for sure but now I still can wear it" Mitsuri explained in an optimistic way. Obanai propped himself up, leaning on his elbows. "You don't have to be afraid. I will give order to him. Next time he would not do this sort of thing to you again, Kanroji" Obanai said and suddenly knew how openly he expressed when everyone looked at him in disbelief. He shifted his posture in uneasiness. But he also gained an admiring expression which was cute from her. Obanai pretended to avert his eyes and cleared his throat.

"A-ha! ladies!" here the ninja of Demon Slayer Corps made an entrance to conversation, sliding with special footwork and gained their attention "Heard someone seems to have trouble in her mind, right? Kanroji" he bent down to ask a little girl.

"Uzui-san!" She exclaimed with glittering gleam in her eyes and it caused Obanai uneasy to look at them interacting. He was sure that Ninja was going to look at her breast for sure and he gladly pinch his eyeballs out with his katana, if he could catch him redhanded.

"No problem could be solved if you are not discussing with me, Kanroji! Don't forget the first time your mentor introduced us together that I am the god of festive and flamboyant of'em all" Tengen gave out a cheeky chuckling and patted her shoulder with his enthusiastic manner.

Mitsuri also followed him easily "Uzui-san! th-thank you so much! I'm discussing my uniform with Shinobu-chan. I don't know what to do with this one" Mitsuri felt a smile coming over her face as they put a care on her puny topic so much more than she expected, however it made Obanai headache to see her follow the trick easily.

"About your uniform? Ah Kanroji, you don't need to worry. Mine is sleeveless, see! and I feel very comfortable with it?" Tengen said and patted his shoulder and flex his large arm to show off to her. Obanai let out a low groan as she admiringly watched him " and look at our Shizuwagawa-san " Wind Pillar felt a tingle and tsked to them and his brows cocked up in moodiness "Cut the crap..." his reaction put an end short to them.

Tengen still explained "He also unbuttoned the chest part to show how badass he was, right? Shinazugawa-san. Just say it.. come on! be friends with our new pillar. By the way, his shirt is also like you! " His attempt failed as Wind Pillar unhappily followed him so Tengen managed to get through his comparison and winked, pointing his finger to her.

"Uzui.. maybe she doesn't want to listen to your damn reason" Obanai protested.

"I just try to get along with Kanroji and get her to know the others as well" Tengen answered dumbly

Mitsuri's mouth turned into o form ,then looked at Wind Pillar who stood and loomed over her in threatening gesture "What's it….stop looking at me like that"

"Ah… This " Mitsuri pointed to her uniform and pointed to him with her dry smile "um..ha-ha it's the same, Shinazugawa-san" as trying to make the scene more joyful than moody of him while Tengen chuckled at how easily she was to manipulate. He intended to let a girly one like get on the nerve of Wind Pillar, waited and saw the reaction of him.

"The hell!" his face crickled in annoyance , Tengen stepped in between them "You don't have to worry, Kanroji. You will get along with him later in future. He just tries to act cool and badass" He slipped his arm around her shoulder and patted as to cheer her up. Obanai gritted his teeth and stifled his scream.

"Thank you, Uzui-san" it turned out Mitsuri was also into his play. Obanai breathed out, he knew he felt over-reacted today around her being today. He didn't know why and the reason.

Wind Pillar ground in annoy, scratching his uneven hair and spat hotly to her "Shut the fuck up, it's just shirt..what's the matter on it.. Keh!" With that moment, a splinter of wood hit his head with a high degree of accuracy. "What! who did this? Iguro? you..damn bastard! I knew it"

"your voice is loud. It annoyed me" Obanai sighed in a bleak expression.

"Tsk! Come down here if you have some gut! you damn snake!"

"Oi oi, that's too annoying you two, acting like a brat, screw that!..so where are we now? oh right about your uniform!" Tengen clapped his hand and turned to Love Pillar who was waiting to listen to his comment.

Tengen made a pose and made a noise as he's thinking on something before speaking up "I think it's flamboyant and definitely suited you, Kanroji right? everyone" he held his thumb up to her, half turned around for any comments.

"Re-really? Thank you, Uzui-san" Mitsuri said shyly and felt a tingle of electricity running through her body and emitted a heat that made her bashful as he bent his head downward to her.

"Ara ara, don't tell me you are looking for a fourth?" Shinobu laid a bomb before asking for her leave from the scene and it earned a cry from the large hunk man.

"Oh man, Kachou, I'm just talking about my opinion, no need to talk about my life! hey!" Tengen answered proudly while Mitsuri wondered and asked "what do you mean by fourth?"

But the answer came with none others than "Hmph This man has three wives, Kanroji. You should stay away from him because he might drag you into some kind of scandal" Obanai announced and pointed to Sound Pillar with accusational finger. Tengen felt a heat of embarrassment on his face and whined in protest.

"That's my personal matter, Iguro please don't mention it openly!" Tengen threw his punch on the air in protest him as well. Obanai struggled calmly and it even drove them mad in fury.

"I'm talking about fact"

"Oi! You have no taste in keeping others' personal matters, Iguro! It's man to man pact for us! don't forget it. You broke our code, damn! I knew you wanted to make me lose face before our new Love Pillar right?" Tengen announced hotly

"That damn Iguro has some gut today!" Sanemi included in as well.

"Nahh so let us think it's a fact that Kanroji should know.. stay away from him Kanroji .,he's so scandalous and you don't want to hear it-" Obanai stopped as Tengen pointed and excused him as cold hearted fellow. He spat with Ninja but he didn't know the true reason what urge why he had to intervene this. His eyes flicked to the pink haired girl who watched them with her bright smile and happy expression on her face and then she laughed. Mitsuri never thought to have seen such an incident here, she felt warm by every reaction, it washed her nervous away as they seemed to have a part to live their life in a normal way, not live as only in the world of swordsman. She was relieved and laughed in content to see their reaction. It was worth it in her sense. She felt her smile wider and be able to laugh out freely and unable to control herself from enjoyment.

"Shut your mouth! You want my sorry? Okay S-o-r-r-y" Obanai said to them while his eyes fixed on pink haired girl.

"you're so cocky today, Iguro! screw that and get your ass down here!" There there, Wind Pillar was still in fury

"Alright, I think I'm gonna head out to do practice now, if you excuse me you guys! let your heart burn with passion again today!" Amid his move, Kyojuro waved his hand to them and it accidentally hit Mitsuri and it made her stumble.

"Eeep!" she squeaked out when her balance was off by his hit. In a second, she would splay on the ground absolutely and in front of several men's eyes, it would look bad!, she thought in horror. It made her embarrassed. Kyojuro tried to reach her but fail but she almost bumped to the ground directly

"Kanroji!" Obanai called her out, propped himself up, jumped down in haste without concerning how the others viewed his fast reaction to her.

But her body was still in the air, safe and sound. Mitsuri felt someone's hand was on her arm and gave out a balance for her body. A strong grip on her arm and the stature of her helper. It made her heart pounding more and more.

"Oh... T-T-T-T-Thank you, T-T-T-Tomioka-san" Mitsuri stuttered badly while her mentor said thanks to Water Pillar. With her angle, Mitsuri witnessed the strong jawline of two men so close, they are freaking hot no not this angle! my heart's gonna explode! step away please!! She thought and her heart almost leap out of her ribcage as they're bending toward her to check on her. It looked like they could pin her down with a sole look.

Super nervously, Mitsuri fidgeted "Whao! To-To-To-To-Mi-Ka-Su-Saaan!"when a man held her hand like this. It forced a heating wave all over her face into a certain red flush. She allowed her heart to beat by its demand and stirred her motion. Stirred, Mitsuri was not in a state of decision on things so pushed a bag of candies to him forcefully "Th-thank you so much, Tomioka-san! I-I-I-I!" Mitsuri let out a girly scream as he still held her hand, craned his neck down a bit to look at what she gave to him in a questioning eyes.

"Tomioka!" Obanai cried in pain and annoyance to see a scene like this.

"The button. The button" Giyuu said something after he helped her stand up, unable to read her bashful expression as usual. "Eh? Wh-what do you mean" Mitsuri still could not recover from the sweet confusion that knocked her head.

"The button is gone" Mitsuri looked down and found one of the buttons was gone and it opened her chest more. Obnai closed his eyes as he was able to see her breast coming out but her scream drove him to react to something to help her.

"Kanroji! I'm gonna find for you, just stay still, please.. and you Tomioka, you did this to her, didn't you? you will not get away with it!"

"Iguro-san" Mitsuri let out his name in a grateful tone without realizing this man almost had a nosebleed, trying hard to avert his eyes from her with all his will and solid attempt.

"Oi The fuck is here?" Sanemi stepped in and said in a dismay tone and wrinkled his face as if he cannot stand what it was now "Tsk, full of shithead and dimwit..I don't know it can cause a mess here. She's a grown-ass woman now, let her be your bastard! you too Tomioka, get back to your shell!" They both stared at each other as if measuring strength. Giyuu stepped forward to him and Sanemi smirked as his words could knock some sense out of him.

"Shinazugawa! shut your damn mouth" retorted Obanai

"Please, you guys stop fighting!" Obanai used his hand to guard her outside a circle of spatting. She turned to plead her mentor but he just waved his hand to her as though showing it's natural for them while Tengen cheered them for fighting from a side line.

"But you always trash talk to everyone. Step messing everything" said Giyuu.

"Kanroji-kun, just stay out of them.. they are always like this since the first day they walked in Demon Slayer Corps" Kyojuro whispered to Mitsuri as he recalled they were same age guys, rarely communicated with each other, misunderstood and ended up holding grudges. That's their nature but three of them also could work very well together as a team. "Men need to blow off their stream like this!"

"But Rengoku-senpai.. are they okay with it?" He nodded to her.

"Out off that fucking way! You two!" Sanemi commanded them fiercely. "Hmph" Giyuu made a face, rolled eyes upward in boredom while Obanai "you apologized to her!" While chaos was showing its apparition here, her body moved by its own demand to them very fast

Seeing their punches going to hit each other,"Stop! All of you!" Mitsuri charged toward them, and pushed them, aiming to separate Shinazugawa-san out of Tomioka-san and then Iguro-san would stop, she thought and hoped it all work. She bit her lip in hesitance when her hand touched their body and gave a little push to them.

It turned out with silence. Mitsuri didn't hear anything from them, except from a clashing sound instead. Because Little Love Pillar bumped them very harshly, it sent each of them flying. Sanemi crashed to tatami mattresses across the hallway while Giyuu also flew toward a large tree and created a large crater on it. The impact sound ceased with the dust settling down and also left her astonished.

"Eh?!" Mitsuri cried in confusion. The surrounding went silent after the clashing from both Pillars. The dust and sprinter flew over directions till it calmed. She gasped, trying to grab the situation, turning back she found only Obanai started blankly to her as well as Kyojuro who also fixed his eyes on her with smile, locked on his face and Muichiro who still stood there since the beginning but no words came out from his mouth, gazing to his left and right. She did the same and found their bodies on the sideline.

"Tomioka-san! Shinazugawa-san!" Giyuu dropped down on the floor weightless as if no spirit in his body. No gruntling sound from Senami either, no swear and no quarreling from them.

"Are you okay? Shinazugawa-san! Tomioka-san! Are you okay?" Mitsuri squeaked and ran toward both of them with her worried face "Help me, please! somebody's over there. Please me! They got injured because of my uwhhhhh"

Obanai still blinked in disbelief by her capacity a while ago, she could send both strong men flying out by a little push and now they passed out. She's strong..that's great! Obanai thought and felt very proud of her as she sure was a strong woman, she could beat the crap out of them. He talked in glee and wanted to see them both being aware of their position now, however, what made his heard arch in pain was the picture of her lifting them up with her hand.

"K-Kanroji! You don't have to do that! " as Mitsuri apologized to Oyakata-sama for causing a scene without intention and carrying both Pillars with her bare hand "They will get up sooner, Kanroji, leave them here" so he tried to call her out in order to stop her and left two bastard there. She ran to Butterfly estate, pleading with her friend, Shinobu to treat them 'Nice! you knocked them off! you should do it more damaged'

Finally both Pillar were forced to ask for sick leave urgency and admitted at the Recovery room in Butterfly estate. Later on, they both woke up slowly and no one's around them. The sound of kinetic fan above ceiling called them that they were at recovery room in Butterfly estate "Fuck…." Sanemi sweared and later saw Giyuu who was in the same condition, warped in many bandages and just nodded to him.

At the door, the pink haired girl was walking, whining something so loud. Her posture appeared at the door and caught them waking up, coming in and cried and also repeated her sorry several times. They both shifted uneasy, reluctantly hard to accept this girl just knocked them off a while ago. Kyojuro and Obanai walked after her

"Great! you two seemed okay now! we decided to pay you both a visit, Tomioka-san, Shinazugawa-san, I hope you both will get back normally tomorrow" Kyojuro said while Obanai just clicked his tongue and cocked his brows.

Both injured Pillar as if communicating through glancing each other "Not a problem, fuck this, Kanroji go and do work" and Giyuu "I'm really okay..it's just a scratch..." he forced himself to smile at her.

"Kyaa! Tomioka-san smile!" Mitsuri blinked and her face popped with pink shade. At that moment, Obanai threw a pillow and smashed Giyuu so fast but Mitsuri didn't notice as she hid her face on her palm from his brand smile. "Kanroji, let's go. They need to take a rest"

Obanai patted her shoulder, gesturing to her to go out and Mitsuri said before leaving "I'm really sorry Tomioka-san and Shinazugawa-san. I didn't mean it happened this way Sorry! I'll behave myself well next time. I got to go Rengoku-senpai " She bowed to her mentor before leaving the room. Obanai used this chance to mock them and still patted her back to continue walking.

Sanemi hissed and balled blanket as though to release his anger outside. Three of them in the room fell silent so Kyojuro began "Sorry both of you for earlier. My student didn't intend it to happen this way. She meant well to stop you both from fighting again a second time within a week"

"You! Rengoku never mentioned about she being fucking strong before! I just thought she's just like a petite little girly woman!" Sanemi gritted his teeth while Flame Pillar just laughed and scratched his head

"Well! I have to say she's strong than normal people but inside she's just a little girl as you said" Kyojuro told them in good mood as he was secretly glad as they started to recognize and admit she's not a ordinary crybaby and girly Hashira."Oh I almost forgot, she also did cook something for you guys.. but where's it?...Oh I think Iguro-san forgot to leave it here"
