Dean's eyes darted to every direction. He had no idea what was happening. He just knew that it hurt. His eyes then landed on Julius. An anger in Dean began to build up. He wanted to hurt him. No! He wanted to kill him! Dean let out a roar, and it echoed through the valley. Everyone was just staring at him. They were shocked with what they were witnessing. Dean was changing. His blonde hair was now a very dark shade of yellow, and it was raised up. When he opened his mouth, his canines grew sharp, and they had a point to them. His ears grew long and pointed. He continued to scream, roar, and shake in his bindings. The red beam of light had enveloped itself around Dean, and his screams soon died down. He only growled at everyone now. He then raised one of his arms, and the stone holding his arm down shattered, and what was revealed were clawed fingers. His other hand also broke out of their bindings, and it matched the other hand. Soon, Dean broke his feet out as well. They were clawed just like his hands. Dean then stood up, and it was revealed to everyone else that Dean possessed a wolf-like tail. Dean gave Julius an extremely cold stare. All of his old wounds that were given to him by Julius were healed. He just let out a wild snarl.

"Dean," spoke Runt. Dean's head quickly snapped to the small pup, and he looked at Him with nothing but rage. Runt backed up a little more under his mother. Dean's head turned back to Julius. During Dean's whole transformation, Julius just stared in fear.

"You are nothing but a mindless abomination," he spoke. "Allow me to put yo-," before Julius could finish his sentence, a clawed hand connected with his face, and he was sent flying. Julius jumped right up once he landed and looked at where he once stood. Dean just continued to glare. His clothes were shredded. He ripped off what was left of his cloak and shirt. His shoes and socks were gone.

"He's fast," thought Julius. He readied his sword for another attack. "Fight me, you failed experiment!" Dean quickly sprinted to Julius, but he was ready this time. He slashed down with his sword, and it made contact with the beast. Julius smiled, he made contact with Dean, and stopped him from attacking. He tried to lift his sword, and deal another strike to Dean, but the sword wouldn't budge. The beast then lifted his head and stared at Julius. The beast gave a menacing smile, and revealed to Julius where the sword had landed on Dean. The blade was caught in Dean's hand. He wasn't cut at all. He just caught it when Julius sliced down. His smile faded. Dean threw the sword out of his way, and used his new teeth to bit into the forearm of Julius. He screamed and his sword left his hand. He quickly punched Dean in the face with the other arm. Dean jumped back and released the arm of Julius. Julius looked down and saw that his arm was torn up. He didn't have anymore time to tend to it as Dean dashed to his other side, and sliced at him with his new claws. Julius attempted to dodge, but he still managed to take damage. He had no time to react as Dean ran at him again and readied another attack. Julius tried to stop this one with a kick. Dean soon caught the leg in his mouth, and he began to bite down. Julius screamed and lifted both of his hands above his head, and he threw both of them down with full force. Dean released the leg, and leapt back. Julius' hands came down, and they missed their target. Dean threw another kick that sent Julius flying. He landed with a thud a few yards away from the group. Julius was livid. His eyes glowed dark purple, and rocks started to move around him. Dean began running at him, and Julius threw one of the stones at Dean. Dean lifted a clawed hand up, and he stopped the stone in mid-air. Julius tried to move it, but it wouldn't budge. Dean then threw the stone back, but Julius managed to deflect it with another stone. He then threw fire balls at the beast. Dean threw the fire back at him. Dean was now able to manipulate elements as well as Julius. Julius was now terrified. Dean was now stronger, faster, and could use elements better. Julius then had an idea. His hand glowed dark purple, and he fired a beam from his hand. The beam was heading straight to Dean. It was about to hit him right in his chest, but then the unexpected happen. Along with his eyes, Dean's hands began to glow bright red. He fired a red beam of his own from his hands. The two beams clashed, but ,soon, The red beam began to overpower the dark purple. Julius was sent flying. He landed right next to the tree line he came out of. Julius was running out of ideas. He was getting beaten at every point in the battle. Whatever is affecting Dean, it gave him an upgrade in every attribute. Even his magic received a boost. In his normal state, he would be able to move small elements, but nothing like he was performing now. Julius quickly looked at the direction he heard a snarl, and turned to see the creature running at him again. He waited for the right time, and when Dean leapt in the air, Julius threw a huge stone that smashed right into Dean. The stone crumbled with the force at which it was thrown. It was a direct hit. Dust covered the battle field and the snow continued to fall. Julius stumbled to his feet.

"I do not care how much of an upgrade you have," he spoke. "That'll do damage." Julius smiled. As soon as he did so, a snarl filled the air. His smile left, and it was replaced with a look of bewilderment. "Evidently, I am wrong," spoke Julius. "That only managed to make you even angrier than what you already were."

The dust cleared, and in the middle of the scene was a beast, and small pieces of rock. A roar let everyone in the area know that whoever roared is extremely angry. Dean charged at Julius, and he just began hitting, cutting, and biting. He was fighting like a wild animal. Julius was trying his hardest to block and parry the barrage of attacks plaguing him now. Meanwhile, the pack of wolves have bared witness to the whole spectacle.

"Mom, what is wrong with Dean," asked Runt. "He acted like he didn't know me."

"I don't know sweetie."

Their conversation was cut short, when a scream cut through the scene. They turned to see that Julius was sent flying through the air again. He smacked hard into the ground. He tried to get up, but the best he could do, was lean against a tree nearby. Dean began walking to the villain. Julius was beaten. He couldn't stand, let alone fight. The beast knew that he had won this fight. He was now just toying with Julius.

"Toy with me will you," thought Julius. "Well, why not play with this bone I got for you instead, dog." His eyes changed to dark purple, and the same happened to his sword. This whole time, it was laying in the same place that he dropped it. The beast hesitated and only stared at Julius. It was confused, for it did not know what Julius was doing. The sword then came flying right to its mark. The mark was the beast's back. It was mere millimeters away from Dean's back. In the last second the target moved and Dean dodged the attack. He was safe, and his clawed hand quickly grabbed the serrated sword. Julius was in a state of shock. He could not even fathom what happened. Julius was angered.

"No," he roared. "I refuse to be beaten by the likes of you. I will turn this whole forest and everything inside it to ashes before I let that happen. His hands turned to dark purple and fire started shoot fire out of his hands. The same way he did so with Waya. Fireballs were firing in all directions. The beast was dodging every way he could. He was doing just fine. Julius continued to fire blindly. The beast continued to dodge until its crimson eyes landed on a certain scene. Fireballs were going in all directions, the pack's position was included. They were confused. Never have they had to deal with balls yof light. "Everyone run," screamed Winston. Before the could even attempt to run. They looked up to see a barrage of fireballs that coated the grey sky like stars in the night. There were too many for the pack to move out of the way. They knew this. The beast had his opening, but something happened, he hesitated. Something in his mind clicked.

"SAVE THEM!," it screamed.

The pack closed their eyes, held their pups, and waited for the end. After a few minutes passed, the wolves began to open their eyes to see quite the spectacle. The beast was in between them and the balls of fire. They were stopped in mid air. He then let the fireballs hit the ground and burn themselves out. Everyone was shocked, but what shocked them more was when the beast turned. His head turned and his left eye was red, while his right one had changed to bright blue. What was more astonishing, was the fact that on the right side, the beasts hair was blonde. Almost everyone still saw the beast, but Kate and her family saw something different.

"Dean," asked Runt.

The beast stared at the wolves for a little bit, he began to attempt a sentence or two. "Ru...nt," it spoke. "Guys...stay...back... me...no...safe." The beast then turned began to hold his head, and his red eye began to glow. The blue one began to dim. The beast then turned his head back to Julius. Julius was astonished that Dean saved them. The beast then uttered a single word that sent shivers down his spine.

"Kill," it growled. It began walking to Julius, but stopped. It then began to grab its head, and growl.

"No," it spoke. The blue eye began to glow brighter than the red this time.

"Let me kill him," it spoke

"No," it spoke again.

"I will end him, and I will use his sword to do it."

The beast turned his head to the left, and saw that he indeed was still holding the sword. He then began to continue his walk to Julius. He was almost to him, but he then raised the sword, and was prepared to strike down the fiend, but the sword was stopped.

"I will NOT," it shouted. It then threw the sword down, and it backed away from Julius. It then began howling in pain. His voice became distorted. It went from a deep demonic voice, to being mixed in with a boy. The eyes began changing from full blue to red, and the hair began changing from black to blonde. Soon, the blonde and blue began to overcome the black and red. The beast got on all fours and began heaving, and coughing. Something was coming up. The beast gave one final heave, and it began to throw up black slime. Once it was done, the beast slowly began to revert back to Dean. His claws became human fingers and toenails. His ears turned back to normal. His hair went back to blonde and wasn't spiked, he no longer had a tail, and his teeth lost their point. Dean was huffing and puffing, but otherwise looked fine. He looked down at the black sludge, and soon saw red eyes looking back at him.

"Quickly, destroy it," screamed Julius. Dean rose up, but before he could do anything, the sludge formed a portal and was gone. "I can't believe you beat it," said Julius. "You-" before he could say anything, Dean began screaming, and he began convulsing on the ground.

"Oh no," spoke Julius.

Kate, Humphrey, and the pups ran to Dean.

"Dean," started Kate. While Humphrey and the pups tried to help him, Kate turned her attention to Julius.

"Stop it, or I'll tear you apart, she snarled. "You are weak enough for me to do it."

"It's not me," spoke the wounded villain."His body reverted back to its original state, but the magic it possessed before is still inside him. His intake of magic is too high for his body to handle now."

"Can you do anything to stop it."

Julius was silent for a moment.

"Yes," he spoke.

His hand began to flicker dark purple. A beam then began to envelop Dean. Dean slowly stopped his convulsions and his screaming began to cease. Soon, the dark purple beam was gone, and Julius' hand slumped to the floor. Dean opened his eyes and sorely raised up. All of his muscles were sore. He looked to see his uncle, and he looked a little worse for ware. He looked pale, and he was riddled with cuts, and bites.

"What did you do to me," asked Dean.

"I used what little magic I had left to combat the magic you had hurting you," said Julius. "I have somewhat put a cap on it, and you will slowly be able to use more and more as you age. You won't be able to use it for a few days, for it is busy healing you. If you unlock a form similar to what you had, it will be weaker than what you had, and it may not be able to use magic. You might be able to unlock it when you are an adult."

Dean just looked at the bloodied villain.

"Why did you do that," he asked. "Save me."

"You beat the experiment. You overcame it, and you got it off you. If you wish to know more about it, then you'll need to go to my lab and read about it in my journal."

"So, I would have to go back home."

"Yes, I wish I could tell you more, but I am out of magic, and I am greatly *cough* weakened." Julius looked at his arm, and his ribs. He was bleeding immensely. His wounds were very severe. He was burned, bitten, and he possessed broken bones.

"Before I do go, I want to say this to you. I know this may fall on deaf ears, and you probably hate my guts, but ,Dean, my dear nephew, I am so sorry for what I had done. If I could take it back I would, but that power is beyond me. I am so proud of what you have done."

"That's not true," spoke Dean. "You're lying, they aren't dead."

"Ok then, believe what you want. You will find out the truth soon. I still have my special potion Dean." The boy's eyes grew wide. "I never left home without it. For years, I never told you what it did. Well, now I am going to tell you. This potion is to disintegrate my body once I die. You won't have to bury me, or hide me. I don't want any publicity to come looking for my dead body. There are people who want to experiment on the Guardians, so I made the potion, so they couldn't." Julius then drank the bottle. "Goodbye Dean and good luck ." Julius looked at Kate. "You, scary brownish she-wolf." Kate snarled at the villain. "Take care of my nephew, please." With that said he closed his eyes and soon his breathing stopped. Dean's eyes glowed blue as soon as Julius breathed his last breath. This confirmed that Julius was indeed defeated. Soon Julius began to glow golden. And then his skin began to turn black with ash.

"Goodbye Julius," spoke Dean. The ashes began to blow with the wind, and mix in with the snow. The snow continued to fall, and Dean was now in his torn pants, that now resembled shorts. Dean just stared at where his uncle once laid.

Kate then walked up to him.

"Dean," she spoke. "Are you hurt?"

Dean nodded his head.

"Ok, what hurts?"

"Everything," he whispered.

"Can you shift?"

He nodded.

"Can you shift, so I can get you out of the cold."

Dean then shifted into a pup. Throughout the whole conversation, Dean just stared at the tree where Julius laid. Kate picked him up, and began carrying him to their den. He turned his head away from the tree, and looked at the pack. Everyone was staring at him. Soon Dean just looked at the ground. He soon made it to the den, and Kate sat him down.

"Do you want my mom to come and look you over," she asked.

Dean shook his head no.

"Ok, then what do you want?"

"Sleep."

Dean then curled up right where Kate sat him, and he closed his eyes. Kate just looked and felt sad for him. She then heard some footsteps coming up to the den. She looked out to see that it was Humphrey and the pups.

"Eve sent everyone to their dens," spoke Humphrey. "So, no one else will be showing up."

"Good," answered Kate.

"How's Dean, mom," asked Runt.

"He is very tired."

"I would be too if I was in the battle he was in," said Humphrey.

"What's he doing now," asked Claudette.

"He is sleeping, so we need to be very quiet. " they quietly peered in and saw that Dean was asleep. They spent the day around the den, and keeping quiet for Dean. He had just fought in a battle for his life, and he had earned some rest.
