Eris is standing right next to Lust as Magnus explained their plan. The blond fairy is looking at his two loyal subordinates with a dark smirk. "In 2 months and 10 days' time, soon, the world is going to merge together as one." Magnus explained and Lust raises her eyebrow.
"Why merging them together when you can rule this world as a King?" Lust asked curiously.
Magnus chuckled darkly. "Six years ago ever since Tenroujima and those pesky fairies disappeared, Fairy Tail is no longer as a strongest but weakest in the entire Fiore. Their
powerhouse mages are gone due to their disappearance."
"It's also a miracle Rubina Hart, Zara and Aaliyah Dreyar manage to survive the final blow from Acnologia." Eris pointed out and masking her emotions for thinking about them. "Not to mention it's they appeared out of nowhere here in this world." It makes her wonder how he managed to get the information out. She wasn't expecting her guild is no longer be the strongest in the entire Fiore.
Magnus sighs with a loving look on his face. "Oh, my beloved Aaliyah. Soon, you will be revived and rule the world with me." His expression turned into a scowling look. "Have you found her body yet?"
"Not yet." Lust sighs heavily. "We're searching everywhere because the Justice League and their brats are hiding her corpse." She's happy Aaliyah is completely out of her sight but at the same time, she's annoyed. Lust couldn't understand what Magnus sees in Aaliyah.
"Grr..." Magnus throws his goblet angrily. "You two better find Aaliyah because- on that merging day, I'll revive her. The Light and The Reach are expecting our plan is successful." He wanted to revive Aaliyah so they can rule the world together.
"Yes, sir!"
"Oh, Eris. I have a job for you." Eris stares at him with an amusement look.
"What kind of a job is it, Maggy?" Eris teased Magnus and it irritated him. "Depending on the rate of this job." She couldn't wait to see their priceless expression when it's the right time to reveal.
Magnus is about to retort back at Eris, someone knocks on their door. "Yes?" The door opens to reveal Tigress. "Oh, Kaldur'ahm's most trusted loyal companion." He stares at her with a bored expression.
Eris simply chuckled and shook her head. "Do you need something from us, Tigress?" She asked with her usual mischief look.
"Black Manta needs us to report Kaldur'ahm's quarters at once." Tigress explained to the dark lilac-purple-haired girl.
"Thank you for saving me. I'm starting to bore before Magnus briefs me for my boring mission." She commented sarcastically and Magnus releases dark magic around him.
"You better watch your mouth, Eris." Magnus warned Eris in a cold tone. "Don't forget you owe me for saving your life back then."
Eris simply shrugged her shoulders and smiled wickedly. "I did and I get nothing but a simple hunt for the dead girl. Can the mission wait? Someone needed me."
Magnus grunted and shoved them out of the room. Eris giggled and covering her mouth. "He needs to loosen up a bit. Maggy might get wrinkles if he scowled more."
"Is that your way to annoy your superior?" Tigress asked Eris curiously and staying cautious. She knew briefly about Eris of her never-ending teasing and ruthless person. She saw Eris toyed her opponents and crushing their spirits completely without hesitation.
"If it makes to loosen them up? Yes." Eris answered with a smirk. "I won't let Psimon exposed your covers especially you're going this far, Art." She whispered low enough for her to hear it.
Tigress glanced at Eris with her eyes wide open and looks away. "I have no idea what you're talking about." It makes her wonder how she knew her secret identity despite wearing a glamor charm.
"You're not the only one who's going to sabotage The Light." She reminded her. "Saber and I are plotting to destroy the anima. To prevent the world from merging mine and yours. You knew me all along before I fake my coma."
Tigress only gape in shock and Eris smiles softly. "Stick to your plan and I'll do mine. Don't get too attached with me because we don't want to risk it." She nodded her head silently. "You need us Black Manta?" Eris asked cheerfully with her usual mischief look.
"This is Psimon." Black Manta introduced Tigress to him. "He is here to psychically repair the shattered mind of my son."
"He can do that?" Tigress asked Black Manta and Eris curiously.
"Indeed, my dear." Psimon answered and waving his hand at Kaldur. "I'll dig right in and root about, piecing his entire mental life together." He laughs darkly. "By the time I'm done, I'll know Kaldur'ahm better than he knows himself."
"Interesting." Eris licks her lips with a wicked look. "So, Psimon... when do you start healing Kaldur'ahm's mental state?" She asked curiously while tilting her head.
Psimon sits down on the chair confident. "I need to focus, set my own mental house in order before I enter his ruins." Psimon answered and pointing his two fingers to his own brain.
"Stay with them." Black Manta ordered the two girls. "Until the process is complete." He placed his hands on their shoulder. "My son never spoke of his feelings, but his words could not hide how much he cared for you, Tigress and Eris."
"Emotions are nothing but a distraction." Eris lied and pinching the strand of her hair. "Why bother when all I ever wanted is to fight strong people." She smirked darkly.
"I don't speak about my feelings either. Not with words." Tigress commented bluntly.
"Yours and Tigress's actions define yourselves. I respect that." Black Manta commented. "So you'll be glad to know I will take action against the Martian witch that did this to our beloved Kaldur'ahm.
Eris and Tigress are sharing the same look to think the same thought. They need to save Miss Martian as well. None of them didn't want their friend to get killed.
Taos || April 9 00:20 MDT ||
Everyone gathered around with Green Beetle to determine whether he's on their side or a traitor. The only way to solve this problem is to let Miss Martian invading his mind.
"I'm not very comfortable with this." Miss Martian expressed her thoughts. After she breaks Kaldur's mind, Miss Martian is terrified to use her psychic again. The Martian girl wouldn't forget Eris's harsh words calling her little murderer. "Delving into your mind, it... it is an intrusion."
"You have my permission." Green Beetle allowed Miss Martian to get into his head. "We must be able to trust each other." Hera and Luminous yelled frighteningly and hugging each other from Green Beetle's creepy smile. "Does my smile displease?"
"That's not how you smile!" Luminous and Hera yelled together in sync. "That's force creepy smile than a natural smile!"
Green Beetle stops smiling. "Is this not how humans convey friendship and put each other at ease?" He asked them curiously and the girls explained how to smile naturally without being a creep.
"There has to be another way." Superboy muttered bitterly at Nightwing and Saber is looking at them.
"Look, I'm not sure what the Martian etiquette is here, but Green Beetle is right: we need to trust each other, which means we need to confirm he is who he says he is." Nightwing explained calmly.
"Don't you think Celestial's spirit, Oichi, can copy Miss Martian's ability to see Green Beetle's mind?" Saber asked curiously. "Or is she still suspended?"
Nightwing shook his head. "I asked Celestial and she said it's better- if another Martian can get into his mind than a stranger."
Miss Martian reads Green Beetle's thoughts and her eyes didn't glow anymore. "Green Beetle is on our side." She declared after reading his mind.
Eris discreetly looks at Tigress to give Psimon a strong sedative to knock him out completely while she takes care of the rest. Psimon glances at Kaldur once he is ready to fix his mind.
"All right, I'm ready. Let's see what the weather's like in there." Psimon commented. Tigress shots him a mini dart on his neck as Psimon rubs it. "Hmm... The Martian really did a number on you, Kaldur. Believe me, I know how it feels. But fear not. We'll have you up and running in... no time." Holding at the edge of the bed to prevent him from falling. He suddenly feels dizzy at the moment. "Something's wrong..." He throws the chair. "My mind... clouding over." Groaning in pain.
"Ah!" Tigress and Eris are holding their head due to a powerful psychic.
"You!" Psimon grunted and slams both girls hard. "You've drugged me and plotting against me! But why?" He asked them telepathically and levitate the girls. "Psimon says: reveal your secrets!" The girls are silently grunting in pain. "Artemis! Kitsune! You're Artemis, Kitsune and the drug..."
"We won't let you blow our cover!" Eris declared and a blue magic circle appeared on Psimon's head. "U~ōtādoragon: Ikari no gōon! (Water Dragon: Roar of fury!)" Roaring like a dragon in his mind to make him pain both physically and mentally.
Psimon is knock out coldly and the girls are free from his powers. Eris patted and looking at Tigress tiredly. "He won't be able to use his mental powers for a couple of weeks." She explained in a low tone before flicking a small blue crystal dart to alternate his memories. "That's all I can do to stop him from exposing us."
"Thanks... Aaliyah." Tigress smiles and someone barge in the door to reveal Black Manta and Magnus.
"What the hell is going on here?" Magnus asked coldly at the two girls.
"We're not sure." Eris answered and stands up while shaking her head.
"He just went berserk." Tigress explained and looking at them. "Is it not possible Miss Martian left some kind of telepathic virus in Kaldur's mind?"
Magnus hums with an amused expression. "Who knew the little Martian is stronger than Psimon. It's such a shame we didn't have her." He commented darkly while holding his chin in deep thoughts.
"If she did, then any telepath we might employ would only suffer the same fate." Black Manta explained with a grim look on his face.
The blond fairy rolls his eyes. "Why can't he stayed in that state forever?" He asked bluntly.
"You better watch your words carefully, Magnus." He gives him a cold look. "He is my son and I won't tolerate anyone's behavior like you."
"Eris, your watchdog duty is done for now." Magnus dismissed Black Manta's threat. "I want you and Tigress to go in the mainland to capture Miss Martian alive in one piece." He gives Eris a pointed look.
"Still holding the grudge after I stabbed your beloved?" Eris asked curiously while tilting her head with a dark smirked. "May I remind you it was Lust who ended her life."
Magnus ignored her last remark. "Psimon is the weakest telepath I've ever faced." Eris snickered behind her hand. "As much as I hate to admit, Miss Martian destroyed more than two Kroloteans on their minds. The only way to cure your beloved son is capturing Miss Martian alive."
"I agree with him." Tigress spoke up. "She's the only source telepath left. It's more than capturing her isn't it?" She asked curiously.
Magnus smirked darkly and chuckled. "No. I owed Black Manta for helping me put anima in a different location to activate the merging. Think of it the debt has been paid."
Eris sighs heavily and salutes at Magnus mockingly. "We will capture Martian girl in one piece. Sir!"
"She's dangerous to face you two." Black Manta commented and feels worried about their safety. "Kaldur would never forgive me if anything happens to you both."
"Taking the squad of troopers would be a hassle and blow our covers..." Eris trailed off her thoughts and smirked darkly. "I have an idea to lure Miss Martian by herself without letting the heroes to save her. We will come back safely and you have our word for it."
Magnus nodded his head and looking at Eris. "Eris is my right-hand woman and she's stronger than them. One wrong move from her, she'll destroy everything."
Black Manta sighs softly and agreed with Magnus's words. He sees Eris's abilities and she's ruthless to anyone who stands in her way. They're fortunate enough Eris is on their side otherwise, they don't know what to do to deal with her.
Tiger is completely impressed by how much they put trust in her when she's also a double agent just like them. They're having the submarine all by themselves. It gives them time to explain their situation without anyone eavesdropped. A time to understand their situation of being an undercover agent to sabotage their enemies.
