Patch, Remnant

Narrator's POV

Ruby had been pretty bored lately, nothing interesting had been happening at home, school hadn't changed much and she was sad Yang was going to beacon without her. So she had decided to leave and visit the city for a little while to browse what new weapons had come out. She was browsing the ammo section when she was bumped into by somebody. She turned around to see who it was and was shocked when she saw how tall he was. He had at least 2 feet on her! His skin was a greyish color, with white hair, a long lizard like tail and deep piercing orange eyes, filled with an emotion she couldn't describe. Was it anger, sadness or both? Before she time to ponder any further, he spoke up.

"Sorry, I should have looked where I was going." Godzilla said.

"It's fine, my name is Ruby, what's your's?" Ruby asked.

"Godzilla" Godzilla replied.

"What are you doing in this store? Are you looking for the newest weapons like I am?" Ruby was freaking out inside at the moment, she had no idea what to ask besides things about weapons and a few other things. Talking to other people, especially new people was not her strong suit and she was hoping her question was enough to keep the conversation alive.

"No, I'm just exploring at the moment, I'm somewhat new to this place and am trying to get used to it." Godzilla answered.

Ruby asked "Oh, Your new here? Where are you from?"

"Somewhere far from here" Godzilla had decided to keep his identity and home a secret, people probably wouldn't take kindly to a 400ft tall Kaiju standing right next to them.

"Ooh, Like Mistral or something? I've always wanted to go but we barely ever leave this island." Ruby answered

"Yes" Godzilla was proud of himself as he had just found out 2 new facts about this place he was stuck in for the moment. 1 was that a place called Mistral existed, judging by the name, he expected it to resemble Asia in many ways and second was that he was currently on an island and with both of these he realized something, he was no longer on Earth. His suspicions had been raised first by the changes his body had undergone and the weird wolves that attacked him. This was the final straw however and he became full of anguish.

Ruby had seen his face slightly twist up with an unknown emotion before it returned to normal, she grew concerned for him and asked "You look kinda mad, are you okay?"

Godzilla was surprised she had asked, not many asked him those kind of question but he returned in kind, "Yes, something happened recently and I'm still processing it but I'll be okay for now."

Ruby was still concerned but left it at that for the moment, she was surprised the conversation had lasted this long and she didn't want to ruin it now, so she left it in silence.

Godzilla stood and thought about all of this new information for a few moments, how he was human now, his friends had died, he was in a new unknown world and had no way to get home and the worst news of all, he had come to a realization. Ghidorah was most likely here with him as it only made sense, seeing as he was blasted to this new world, Ghidorah should be too if he survived the weapon the humans had fired at them. Ghidorah could threaten all life on this planet if it's inhabitants and could end all life without his help.

Ruby looked on with a sense of curiosity as she watched him think, his face twitching ever so slightly every few seconds. Eventually he snapped out of whatever had taken his brain out of commission and said to her "I must go, I need to go study at the library." She stood there and responded "Alright, if you ever want to see me again my house is over in the nearby forest. Come see me whenever you want too!" Godzilla answered with a firm okay and walked out of the store after saying goodbye, leaving Ruby to continue to wander the store and ponder over what had just happened.

Godzilla quickly approached the city library and entered and began to read every book he could find on this world's history. He learned this world was called Remnant and was populated by both Humans and

a different group called Faunus, which were essentially humans but with animals features like a tail or ears. He assumed he was a Faunus judging by his tail. He learned of dust, the racial tensions between humans and Faunus, the Grimm which were the wolves that attacked him earlier and many other species that the book simply glossed over. He also learned of Aura, an extension of your soul that a group called huntsman used to protect themselves from attacks of any kind. He noted the usefulness of this ability and would try to learn how to use it later. He learned about the great war, something that reminded of the 2 wars the humans had fought back in his world. He learned of the 4 kingdoms and Menagerie. He eventually closed the book and walked out of the library. He walked back into the nearby forest and began to try and use that aura thing he learned about. Though he didn't have his soul unlocked as the book said you needed to use Aura, he tried to use his atomic power to form a psuedo-aura and it almost worked. A bright blue glow filled his body and covered him in a protective coating. He could not channel it into one limb that easily however and he would need more training to become skilled at using this new power. He tried to used his signature atomic breath and charged it and fired at a nearby tree. The tree combusted and exploded so Godzilla stopped firing. His breath was still usable but was still noticeably weaker. The rest of his powers were the same, still there but significantly weaker than before. He realized that he would need to train more to keep growing his powers back to his pre-human form if he was to take on Ghidorah.

But a feeling took over his body as he got down to rest by a nearby tree, he nearly collapsed as the shock of the day finally came to him having pushed it down for too long, his emotions tore through him like a thunderstorm does to a piece of paper. He did not show it but in his mind he was hit by feelings of grief and sadness. Sadness at the fact he was truly alone in this world and Grief at how he failed to save his friends as he had done dozens of times before. Why was it this time? Why did it have to be him? Why did he live as he always did? These questions and many others formed inside his head and he cried for the first time since his Father's death reached his ears. A feeling broke him out of this stupor however. Anger. Rage. And Fury. He would not let Ghidorah win! His golden head would sit in front of him! He would bring Justice to his friends and too him! He wouldn't Ghidorah hurt anyone else. He wouldn't let anyone get hurt because he failed again. He would die before that happened. He got up with a newfound purpose.

Ghidorah could wait however, he had not shown his presence just yet, when he did was when Godzilla was going to make his first move. No, right now, Godzilla simply wanted to rest his mind and body. This day had been far too taxing on him and he needed a place to rest. The perfect place to do that was the house the Ruby girl had told him about. He hoped she wasn't lying to him and began to make his trek there and he was far too tired for his instincts to tell him not too.

He knocked on the door to the small house and a tall blonde man opened the door. Godzilla simply said "Hello" before collapsing on the ground in front of the door.
