Fiona left her client, and turned her gaze to the bar.
Poor girl...
Mandy was waiting for the tall dark-haired man, who would not come, considering the time.
It was well done.
The tall dark-haired man must not have appreciated the other man's visit last night.
She laughed inwardly.
- I knew well ... He would lose interest in you, sooner or later.
She had just mumbled her words with contempt.
Goren couldn't take it anymore.
How long would he put up with this torture?
He wanted to go to Eames...
To hold her in his arms.
But Deakins, as soon as he had the misfortune to finish a file, he put another one under his nose.
It wasn't fair...
Everyone was gone, well almost everyone.
But he was the only one still there doing the paperwork.
Why didn't Deakins give the job to someone else?
It seemed like a punishment...
Deakins smiled at Goren's behavior.
The more files he gave him, the grumpier he got.
So you get impatient, you get tired of doing paperwork.
The papers under his fingers had to be less interesting, than his partner's body.
Deakins had made Goren suffer enough for the night.
- You can go. He tapped Goren's shoulder in a friendly manner. I'll finish.
Bobby breathed a sigh of relief.
Finally, he was done.
Quickly...
He had to hurry, and go see Eames.
She must have been waiting for him for too long.
Eames wouldn't understand why he hadn't come.
He grabbed his jacket, and rushed towards the elevator.
Damn it...
How long that elevator was...
The doors finally opened, after what seemed like an eternity, and he snuck in, pushed the button like crazy; until the doors closed.
Two hands were placed on the doors, forcing them open again, much to Goren's despair.
Who could this...
Deakins.
What did he want with him now...
Hadn't he tortured him enough?
Why did he keep picking on him?
It was bad enough that because of his captain he couldn't enjoy Alex for long.
He wanted to be able to go at least.
- I'll pick you up tomorrow morning.
Goren made one of his faces.
Had he heard him right...
Deakins wasn't serious.
What was this whim?
Deakins nodded, letting him know he was deadly serious.
But what was happening to his captain...
He wasn't even going to be able to enjoy Eames, like he wanted to.
It really wasn't fair...
Eames was dozing on the bar counter.
Goren was touched.
Alex had been waiting for him all this time.
He approached her with slow steps, and stopped at her height.
Gently, he brought his hand to her golden hair, caressing it.
- Sorry for the delay... He spoke in a soft voice. Deakins wouldn't let go.
That voice...
Was she dreaming...
But the soft touch of his long fingers on her hair, she knew him.
Goren.
She woke up, turned around, and jumped on Bobby's arm.
- Uh... Alex... Bobby was embarrassed by this public display of affection. Everyone's looking at us...
Eames was so happy to see him, that she forgot where they were.
She stepped aside, blushing.
Alex got down from her seat, jumped to the ground.
She took Goren's hand, intertwined their fingers, and guided him with quick steps into his room.
She locked the door behind her, and rushed towards Goren, jumping on him.
Goren fell backwards, his back on the sheets, Alex on top of him.
Damn...
Eames was very expressive tonight.
She was in a hurry to make up for lost time.
He had thought that she would be angry with him, would make him there head...
But not at all.
Eames had thrown himself into her arms.
She was happy to see him.
Her heart beat violently in her chest.
- I thought you wouldn't come anymore...
Goren wrapped his arms around her waist, holding her close.
