Sophia's POV

The moment my eyes blinked open I felt the nerves and dread settle in knowing that in just a few hours I was going to be married to Demetri and that was scary but exhilarating at the same time, I slowly got up moving towards the bathroom to wash my face from the sweat of my dream last night locking eyes with myself in the mirror.

It hadn't been one of the worst ones but it wasn't any less terrifying to see Demetri's lifeless corpse especially since I'd seen my own frightening red eyes when I'd caught my reflection in a glass window within the dream, I'd been a vampire and was witnessing my worst nightmare of facing life as an immortal without him.

"God what did you do stay up all night" I looked back seeing Chelsea coming towards me, her hands full of bags and make-up boxes.

"Rough night" I sighed grabbing a hand towel and wiped the rest of the water and sweat away while she set up grabbing a chair and setting it down in front of the mirror.

"Well have a shower and wake yourself up because it looks like I have a lot of work to do to" I nodded and waited for her to leave the bathroom before I jumped into the shower, I washed and conditioned my hair and washed my body with my vanilla scented body lotion before I hopped out wrapping a robe around my person before calling Chelsea in.

"Perfect, sit and relax and I'll have you looking, bellissima" I sighed falling into the chair. "Oh Demetri told me to give you this" I frowned confused until she held out and I-Pod. "He thought it'd help you relax" I smiled taking it remembering him overhearing him wish I had a music player.

"He's back?" I asked and she nodded.

"Yes but you won't be seeing him until your walking down that aisle" I rolled my eyes at her sitting back in the chair and put the earbuds in my ear and flicked through the music choices, there wasn't a particular genre but it was a mix of this modern songs and classical music which I really found relaxing so I played most of those while Chelsea worked on my make-up and fixed my hair into an intricate bun.

"I brought the dress" I opened my eyes seeing Jane in the room holding a dress bag but my eyes were more or so locked on my reflection, shocked by my appearance since I didn't even recognize myself.

"Whoa" I moved my hand towards my face to make sure that the mirror was even working right but Chelsea grabbed my hand.

"You'll smudge your make-up" she picked up a small box and pulled out a diamond hair clip which secured a short veil to my hair. "I got you something else as well. "She flipped open a large clothes box and my eyes widened.

"No way!" I exclaimed turning to her wide eyed when I saw the see through lace and silk lingerie set.

"It's your wedding night Sophia, besides I heard you and Demetri talking last night and trust me you'll thank me for it later, now put it on" both her and Jane left the room no doubt intending me to put on the threatening undergarments.

I picked up a piece of it hesitantly frowning deeply at it since I've never cared for dolling it up like some prostitute but this was my wedding night and Demetri loved me but tonight was already going to be nerve racking did I need to add the uncomfortable interaction of wearing this stuff.

"Come on Sophia, we don't have all the time in the world" I heard Jane sneer from behind the door, I sighed and decided to throw caution to the wind, I wanted to remember this night and the thought of Demetri's face was encouraging enough to put it on.

The nerves increased as soon as I was in the garments feeling incredibly out of my depth especially when Chelsea and Jane walked back in and started helping me into my dress after demanding me to close my eyes for a big reveal.

"I think we should take a defibrillator with us because Demetri is going to go into shock" Chelsea laughed as I felt her and Jane fluffing out the skirt.

"Can vampires actually go into shock?" I asked actually worried that it could happen.

"No" Jane laughed making me frown.

"Okay, open your eyes" Chelsea announced after more pampering and fluffing, I sucked in a deep breath before my eyes opened immediately finding my reflection seeing as they'd turned towards a floor length mirror and I was shocked by what I saw.

There I stood in a floor length white wedding dress with red embroidered floral patterns with one flower made of the same red and white silk as the dress sewn onto the left hip, the dress was absolutely beautiful and was matched with matching lace white Loui Viton heels which I'd picked after much protest to begin with for the price which meant I looked beautiful as crazy as that sounded...Chelsea had made me look beautiful which was an unfeasible task but Demetri had insisted that he was sparing no expense and wanted to give me the wedding that he thought I deserved so everything was extravagant and expensive.

"God am I actually doing this?" I whispered to myself but of course the vampires heard.

"Your going to be fine Sophia" Chelsea encouraged me wrapping her arm around my shoulder. "Demetri loves you, you love him and there's nothing simpler" I heard Jane huff but I ignored her negativity since I already have enough of my own.

"I know that, I just never imagined my life anywhere close to this"

"No ones life is ever as we imagined it" Chelsea smiled at me before we heard a knock on the bedroom door. "Who is it?" Chelsea asked but I didn't hear a reply. "Of course Master" my eyes widened at her words before the door opened and Aro walked in.

"Sei così bella mia cara" he sang in his unique way, clapping his hands together and I blushed knowing 'bella' meant beautiful in Italian.
(Translation: You are so beautiful my dear)

"Grazie" I thanked him.

"Would you excuse us my dears?" he asked looking at Chelsea and Jane.

"Of course master" Chelsea replied before they both left the room leaving me with the leader of their coven.

"How are you feeling child?" he asked walking towards me.

"Kind of like I want to throw up from nerves" I admitted and he laughed, the sound coming out like bells.

"That's quite normal" I nodded my head sitting down in the chair I'd previously sat in while getting my hair and make-up done. "Sophia, I would very much like to accompany you down the aisle seeing as you don't have a father to do so" I was shocked but was actually greatly appreciative since it had been one of the things I was nervous about, having to walk alone.

"Thank you Aro, I would actually like that"

"Okay, it's time!" Chelsea announced coming back into the room holding a bouquet of flowers, calla lilies and red roses just like we'd agreed on. "Everyone's seated and your dark Casanova is waiting" I rolled my eyes at her nickname for Demetri, it seemed everyone had caught onto my nickname.

I took a huge deep breath before I took Aro's arm seeing him holding it out for me and we began to walk towards the ballroom seeing the doors closed, Chelsea indicated for me to wait before her and Jane disappeared into the room...all that was left was to wait for the music to start and I'll be walking down the aisle.

"Don't let me trip please" I breathed out nervously and Aro smiled squeezing my hand as he held it while my arm was interloped with his.

"Never child" he promised right before I heard the music start, Marcus had agreed to play my wedding march. "You ready my dear?" all I could do was nod before we were walking, my legs moving on their own accord keeping my eyes lowered to my feet to make sure that I didn't trip in these heels.

Eventually I found my eyes wandering over the many unfamiliar faces taking note of all the red eyes and felt a tiny flicker of fear and uncertainty in the presence of this many vampires that I didn't know but I knew they were all aligned with the Volturi and that Demetri wouldn't have them here if he didn't trust them...thinking about my lover my eyes quickly moved to the end of the aisle and my eyes finally met his brilliant crimson red ones shining even brighter because of the smile on his face and accented by the black tux he is wearing.

Our eyes remained locked seemingly becoming the only two people in the room as we took each other in, the aisle seeming like it was a mile long but when we finally made it to the end, Aro took my hand and held it out placing it into Demetri's waiting one...he squeezed it before leading me the short rest of the distance to stand side by side in front of the alter and Felix who had gotten ordained online to bless the marriage.

"Ladies and Gentleman, we've all gathered here today to witness a union...a union so unique and rare but passionate beyond compare" I smiled at Felix since I had been a bit worried that he would make some embarrassing joke. "The road these two have undergone to get where they are today hasn't been easy as you could imagine for a human and vampire pair, not to mention our dear Sophia here being so delectable"...there was the joke but even I laughed a little especially with Demetri's possessive growl which had everyone else's laughter increasing. "Despite all the odds stacked against them, they found love and they're here today to pledge themselves to each other for all eternity...which for us really is an eternity" more laughter went through the room. "Demetri, please repeat after me" he turned to Demetri while he and I turned to face each other, my hands in his between us. "I, Demetri Georgíou-Volturi..."

"I, Demetri Georgíou-Volturi.." Demetri smiled looking directly into my eyes.

"...take you Sophia Hart..."

"..take you Sophia Hart..."

"...to be my faithful partner..."

"To be my faithful partner" Demetri's smile grew with each word and was gently rubbing his thumb over the top of my hand. "My lifelong friend and my one true love, I promise to love you, to cherish you and be by your side as long as we both shall live" I felt the tears building up in my eyes as he slid the matching wedding band to my engagement ring onto my left ring finger. .

"Sophia, please repeat after me" Felix smirked at me signaling it was my turn. "I, Sophia Hart"

"I, Sophia Hart...take you Demetri Volturi, to be my faithful partner...my lifelong friend and my one true love, I promise to love you, to cherish you and be by your side as long as we both shall live" I repeated my vows after Felix sliding the simple silver band onto his left ring finger. .

"And do you both promise to always be honest, to protect and take solace in each other's arms from this day forward?" Felix asked us.

"I do" Demetri nodded.

"I do" I smiled at him letting a single tear fall.

"Then it is with great pleasure that I now pronounce you husband and wife" Felix replied before turning to Demetri with a smirk. "You may kiss the beautiful bride" he announced and Demetri wasted no time in pulling me forward, his hand found it's way to the back of my head and he pulled me into a possessive but loving kiss which seemed to last so much longer than any previous kiss we'd ever shared, neither of us caring about the witnessing eyes. "Okay you two save it for the honeymoon" Felix's chuckled broke through our bliss and we reluctantly pulled apart.

We stood before everyone as they clapped and cheered, I couldn't wipe the smile off my face as I gazed up at Demetri completely in utter shock and adoration for the fact that I was actually married to the love of my life and prayed that it was not a short marriage but I had to keep faith that everything will be fine because I was finally happy and nothing was going to ruin that.

The party moved onto the reception I kept my hand entwined with Demetri's feeling a little overwhelmed as we moved through the room meeting everyone and them congratulating us, I fought hard to remember everyone's names but I met so many people it was hard especially since they were vampires from all over the world and their accents were hard to understand sometimes.

"Demetri" someone called and before I knew it he was swept into a hug.

"Callista" Demetri smiled nodding at her.

"I can't believe my brother finally settled down" she replied and my eyes widened with a small frown and I looked back and forth between them...were they actually siblings, she didn't look anything like him with her black hair.

"I finally the right one, had to snatch her up" Demetri laughed tightening his arm around my waist. "Callie, let me introduce my wife Sophia, Sophia this is Callista" he introduced us and I smiled shaking her hand.

"It's a pleasure to meet you" I said politely.

"You as well" she smiled before turning back towards Demetri. "Eínai ekpliktikí aderfí, athóa epísis" she spoke towards him, I recognized the tongue as Greek which kind of told me when they knew each other...maybe they really were siblings. " I sýzygós sas faínetai synkechyméni, prépei na to exigísete" she smiled back towards me and Demetri looked down making me wonder what she'd said.
(Translation(s): She's stunning brother, innocent too) (Your wife looks confused, you should explain)

"Callista and I were both turned by Amun around the same time, we were in the same coven for a few years before she ran off with her mate" he explained.

"You ran off to join the Volturi around the same time" she countered and I felt a little relieved that she had a mate. "Anyway I'm just glad to see you happy" she added suddenly with a sad smile on her face.

"Thank you, I was sorry to hear about Galen" Demetri replied.

"Thank you" she nodded at him.

"Who's Galen?" I asked feeling guilty for asking by how upset she was.

"He was my mate but he was killed in the Southern Vampire wars" she explained and I felt horrible for her. "But this isn't wedding talk and I won't keep you any longer, it was a pleasure to meet the woman that finally stole Demetri's heart and I look forward to the next time we meet Sophia" she smiled before walking off.

"She puts on a tough façade but she's the kindest person you'll ever meet" Demetri told me as I kept staring after her feeling sorry for her since I couldn't imagine the pain she must go through everyday living forever without the one she loves. "Now come on, there's more people you have to meet" I took in a breath of preparation as he continued to introduce me to everyone.

It was now much later in the evening and I'd snuck away for some fresh air and to have a little human time seeing as I'd been on my feet the whole day and hadn't really eaten so I'd ate some dinner that had been prepared by the new human in the kitchen before I'd headed out onto the balcony that overlooked the gardens still looking like a frozen wonderland as more snow had fallen over the week.

It was a nice crisp temperature that I could stand outside with just a wrap over my bare shoulders, my dress held up with a piece of elastic on my middle finger holding it up to one side, I could hear the celebration going on in the ballroom behind me with music and laughter of the many guests dancing...I'd left Demetri interacting with a few vampires recalling old times they'd hung out which meant it didn't really interest me.

"There you are Demetri's was getting worried you'd ran off with some other guy" I smiled turning my head when Felix appeared next to me. "Especially since he can't track you"

"That's a good thing in my opinion, I just needed a few human minutes and he was deep in conversation with the French Coven"

"Henry and Yvette are nice people" I nodded my head agreeing with him. "You okay?"

"Yeah, it's just a little overwhelming being the only human in the room"

"You'll get used to it" he smiled bumping shoulders with me.

"I don't really have to considering I'm going to be one of you after you deal with this war"

"So he's really doing it, he finally agreed to turn you?" he asked and I nodded my head.

"It was kind of inevitable"

"Very true" he smirked. "I look forward to you being one of us, not that you arent already apart of our family" I smiled thankful for his words. "Just do me a favor okay?" I frowned confused. "You gotta train with me after your turned, I'd love a good newborn refresher course and it'll be hilarious of Demetri's reactions"

"Deal" I smirked since I was fascinated to how I was going to be as a newborn vampire.

"We better get back inside before you freeze and Demetri panics even more than he already is" I nodded knowing that Demetri would be getting worried by now so we headed inside and I quickly spotted him looking through the room so I made my way towards him and as soon as my scent must have met his nose he turned looking relieved.

"Don't do that" he told me as soon as I reached him and he pulled me into his arms.

"I had to take some time to eat and use the bathroom, you know human time" he nodded his head.

"Next time just tell me, I had no idea where you went and I can't track you"

"Well that's a first" someone said and we turned towards the new voice. "No wonder the Volturi is so interested in your human"

"Charles" Demetri nodded at him. "It's nice to see you"

"Don't lie Demetri" he smirked and the two shared a laugh before hugging like typical men with one clap on the back. "Care to introduce me?" he gestured towards me.

"Charles this is Sophia, Sophia this is Charles" Demetri introduced us right as a short girl appeared beside him, she had black hair and the chrematistic red eyes of a vampire. "And this is his mate Makenna, Makenna is Renata's descendant" I smiled and nodded my greeting at them, I knew Renata as she was one of the Volturi Guard, she had a shield power and was responsible for protecting Aro personally.

"It's a pleasure to meet you both"

"Aw she actually means it" Charles smiled taking my hand and instead of shaking it he brought it to his lips and kissed my knuckles. "The pleasure is all ours, Sophia since its not every day that you hear that the playboy of the Volturi is getting married to his human mate"

"Easy Charles, she's mine" Demetri growled out possessively and wrapped his arms around my waist.

"The first honest thing you've said" Charlies laughed.

"Okay lie detector" Demetri laughed back.

"Have you seen Renata, I'd like to talk to her about the upcoming battle with these vegetarians" Makenna asked him.

"She'll be near Aro" he shrugged and she nodded.

"It was nice to meet you Sophia, perhaps we could hang out in better circumstances" she said looking at me before she left with Charles following her.

"What was that about?" I asked Demetri.

"Makenna's pretty shy, sticks to family a lot...her sire is Luca and he is known for turning his family members every couple of centuries and that kind of rubbed off on her" I nodded my head in understanding since I get where she was coming from. "I think that's enough of mingling, wouldn't you say" he smiled at me. "Would you care to dance Ms Georgiou Volturi"

"Yeah that's going to take some getting used to" I smiled back at him.

"Good thing we have forever together" he took my hand and led me out onto the dance floor just as new slow song started.

"You should know that I can't dance" I informed him, he just smirked and pulled me close wrapping one arm around my waist while holding the other and started leading me in a waltz.

"You just need a partner who knows what he's doing" he argued smugly, I rolled my eyes at him but smiled as I let him lead me into the dance slowly laying my head on his shoulder. "Have I told you how beautiful you look tonight"

"No" I smiled up at him without lifting my head.

"Well you do, you would have taken my breath away if I actually needed to breathe" he smiled pressing his lips to my forehead. "I've never been more startled by a women's beauty then when you were walking towards me, you look absolutely stunning my darling wife"

"You don't look too bad yourself, husband" I smiled back at him moving my hand to the side of his neck before moving in for a kiss and he gladly met me halfway.

"I'll never grow tired of hearing that from you"

"Good thing we have forever together" I mimicked his words and he nodded his head before we kissed again, once again seeming to last longer than the last until I needed to pull away for air.

I don't know how long Demetri and I spent dancing but it was so comfortable and relaxing that I actually found myself drifting in his arms, my head laid on his shoulder my feet barely moving anymore that Demetri had actually lifted me to stand on his toes so he was doing all the dancing for us.

"Tired?" he asked and I nodded my head. "Good, I'm done sharing you anyway" he suddenly lifted me into a bridal cradle and started towards the exit.

"Ladies and Gentleman, it's time to say goodbye to the bride and groom" Felix's voice came from over a microphone and everyone turned towards us as Demetri walked and quickly the room was filled with claps and wolf whistles...the latter coming from Felix as we left the room and headed for Demetri's where I saw a white dress sitting on his bed.

"You two have 10 minutes to change and be on the jet" Chelsea suddenly stated appearing out of nowhere.

"What?" I asked confused.

"Your honeymoon silly" my eyes widened since I hadn't realized we were having a honeymoon.

"Did you know about this?" I asked turning to Demetri.

"Of course" he smirked making me glare at him.

"Already keeping secrets from me?"

"No it's a surprise there's a different mi amore" I rolled my eyes at him.

"I've already packed a bag for you and it's waiting in the car out front, all you have to do is change out of your dress" Chelsea told me before she left leaving me to change, I sighed since it seemed I wasn't going to sleep just yet.

"Can you untie me?" I asked Demetri since the back of my dress my tied up like a corset with black silk ribbons.

"Of course, been dying to get you out of this dress the moment I saw you" he replied and I fought against the rising blush as I turned to face away from him and his fingers started untying the ribbons loosing the dress and I let out a small breath when it was loosened.

"I don't know how women wore those things everyday" I complained holding the dress against my chest remembering the lingerie underneath and wanted to keep a secret from him since if we weren't staying here then he was going to have to wait.

"It was quite fashionable" he smirked knowingly and I rolled my eyes at him as I picked up the dress Chelsea had laid out for me and started towards the bathroom. "Wait where are you going?"

"To get changed in the bathroom"

"Why we're married, that means I get to see you naked now"

"Well I had a surprise lined up for after but if we're leaving right now your gonna have to wait" I told him and watched his eyes widen before they racked over my covered body, no doubt trying to imagine what I meant and I used his distraction to quickly slip into the bathroom.

"Cheater" I heard him say which made me laugh as I let my dress fall and pool around my ankles before I slipped the new one on then hung up my dress and changed my shoes into my old pair of converse.

When I walked out Demetri had pulled his tie off and undid the first couple of buttons on his shirt making me stop and stare at him which he saw and a smirk grew on his face as he approached me.

"Payback" he said and I shook my head at him since he could be so immature sometimes. "I look forward to your surprise" he whispered in my ear before pressing his lips to my forehead.

"Me too" I gulped just thinking about it as I took his hand and we walked out, I'd had sex before with my previous boyfriend but it had never been enjoyable for me since it was never about me and I'd never experienced an orgasm with him since he always just cared about finishing himself and never once cared about me so tonight was a whole new experience for me because I knew Demetri was going to be different and I was nervous but excited about it.

We left the castle getting into the usual fancy sports car with Demetri saying that Felix will collect it from the airport and drove to the airport where the Volturi jet was waiting and we boarded quickly, I buckled in for takeoff and Demetri sat beside me unmovable by the plane taking off like last time.

"So where are we going?" I asked too curious to refrain from asking any longer.

"It's a surprise" he smirked and I scoffed shaking my head at him with a smile knowing he was just being cruel because I'd made him wait.

When the plane settled out I unclipped the seatbelt and moved towards the bed cabin in the back of the plane both stopping when we saw the red rose petals shaped in a heart on the bed along with a champagne bottle on ice with two glasses along with a note, I walked over and picked it up seeing the perfect curved writing.

"Have fun little kitten – Felix" I shook my head putting the note down before seeing one with Demetri's name on it and handed it to him watching his face tighten up as he read whatever Felix had written him. "What?" I asked him not liking his reaction.

"Nothing just Felix being Felix" he scrunched up the note and tossed it into the bin. "You should get some rest, it's a five hour flight" I frowned at him since I hated it when he did that, changed the subject to me.

"Demetri"

"I'm gonna go put this in the fridge, we'll save it for later" he grabbed the champagne and left the cabin, I waited a couple of seconds before I moved towards the bin and grabbed the note quickly unfolding it and read it.

Demetri,

Remember what we spoke about, have faith in yourself and treat that girl well and everything will be fine.

- Felix

I frowned feeling like there was something that I was missing but I quickly returned it to the bin before I moved away from it towards the small port window looking out at the clouds practically just in time since Demetri returned.

"Aren't you tired?" he asked.

"Got a second wind" I told him as I moved towards him, I ran my hand over his chest. "Are you okay?"

"I just married you, I'm great" he smirked before smashing his lips to mine and began walking me backwards towards the bed forcing me to fall down onto when my knees hit it and he quickly moved to lay beside me. "I love you Sophia" I smiled deciding to not worry about whatever him and Felix had obviously discussed.

"I love you too" I moved to straddle his waist and his hands rested on my waist as he sat up and started kissing my neck instantly making me putty in his hands as I leant my head giving him more access but as usual he stopped too soon.

"You really should get some rest" he smiled when he saw the protest in my eyes. "Soon mi amore" he promised pressing a kiss to my forehead before he laid down and pushed me to lay beside him.

"Where are you taking me?" I asked hoping he was in a weakened mind state to let it slip.

"Nice try but you can wait and see"

"Tease" I glared weakly at him since my smile gave me away.

"Proud of it" he argued making me roll my eyes before I cuddled up to him, the heat was on meaning I wouldn't get chilled by his cold skin. "Rest, your going to need it" I smiled at the hidden meaning glad my face was hidden from his view so that he didn't see the blush staining my cheeks but I eventually let my mind drift off and get a couple hours of sleep.
