Jean Loring taking a deep breath. Then knocked. "Jean, what are you doing here? Laurel's Oliver's lawyer" Felicity asked surprised.

Jean simply handed her the papers. Felicity was stunned in disbelief at the form she just handed him.

Petition for divorce

"I don't understand. Why?" Felicity asked, looking at Jean blankley.

Her world was falling apart around her the room was spinning. Why now Oliver was getting a prison in a matter of days. All thanks to Laurel. Oh, God Laurel!

She needs to sit down. She should have never allowed it. Letting Laurel be Oliver's lawyer. But she had been foolish thinking anything between the two of them ended. Laurel left for two years after being nearly killed by Damian Darhk.

Laurel had traveled the country establishing herself as a hero in her own right. During the two years, the Black Canary had been spotted in Gotham, Metropolis, New York, Coast City, Washington DC, Central City, and Los Angeles.

She only returned to Star after learning of Oliver's incarceration. Determine to use the legal system to free her ex. A decision Felicity fully supported at a time. Laurel had done it by using impressive legal maneuvering she had gotten Oliver off he was due to be released in 3 days.

But this blindsided her. What had happened between the two of them? Jean now left Felicity her thoughts. "I'll be in touch, Felicity. I recommend you find a good lawyer"

The Bunker

It's done

The text read. Laurel smiled. She never thought she would be the other woman. But when a cosmic being appears before you you listen. This Spectre had shown her and Ollie a dark future where Oliver sacrificed his life for the entire Multiverse.

The future that saw Team Arrow fail at their mission. Star City was nothing but a burnt-out husk. Renee, I turned his back on Star. Walling up The Glades where he resides as mayor. While Felicity and Curtis' start-up had become a multimillion-dollar company. Which did nothing for the people of the city. Felicity and Curtis simply sat in the Ivory Tower as people suffered.

Only Laurel had seemed to continue to fight. Going out alone night after night doing the best she could for the city. Thea and Roy had continued to fight alongside her until Thea became pregnant. After which they moved away to Coast City.

The words that Spectre spoke. Only she and Ollie together could prevent this future. He warned Oliver not to take the Monitor's deal. Not to give up his life for the Flash and Supergirl. The Monitor caused chaos wherever he went. Using the book of Destiny to test worlds for their so-called worthiness.

He had shown them a possible future, a brighter future. Where the Green Arrow and Black Canary forgot alongside the likes of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Aquaman, Cyborg, and the Green Lantern against a being known as Steppenwolf.

Laurel had blushed at the thought of Batman and the short affair with him. Bruce is certainly good in bed. Although not as good as Ollie, she reminded herself. Hal, she knew well, having spent more time in Coast City than anywhere else during her years away. Helping him defeat his ex the Star Sapphire.

Laurel had spent months. Putting these wheels in motion the divorce was only one small part of it. In Secret, she had built a new Team Arrow. The new Green Arrow that has been prowling the streets these past months was her own doing.

Emiko Queen was the new Green Arrow. Laurel had rescued her from the 9th Circle. It was certain she and Oliver were do for a serious conversation. The other two members are not new Roy and Thea would make their turns. Once Oliver returned and took up the mantle as the Green Arrow again. Emiko would become Artemis.

Slabside

Oliver sat in his cell. Complicating the future. He was divorcing Felicity Smoak. Are certain they had their moments that he loved her in his own way. But there had always been nagging doubts. Again and again, she questioned his leadership and decisions.

Yes, Laurel did the same but she always pulled them aside. She always aired her grievances in private, not calling him out in front of the whole team. Oliver knew he could trust her in the field 100% of the time. Laurel was completely selfless not letting personal concerns get in the way of the mission. Her only true blind spot was her family just as it was with him.

While Felicity would constantly let her emotions get the better of her. Whatever it was dealing with Black Siren, her involvement with Helix, and most of all her reaction to William. Her reaction to William what's what hurt the most throughout their entire relationship.

Felicity's car

Rene, Dinah, and Curtis were already underway to the bunker. When she called.

Listen, Laurel's been compromised. She's at the bunker. I want her to be contained. She's done something to Oliver. I'll explain the rest later.

The Bunker

The hairs on the back of Laurel's neck stood up. The moment the trio enters the bunker. Foolish girl, she thought to herself. "May I help you?" Laurel asked.

It was Dinah who spoke first "Listen Laurel I don't want to do this. But we need you to surrender peacefully you've been compromised in some way" Laurel simply smiled they had no idea what they're getting themselves into. During her two years away she had trained with Masters she had trained the Batman himself.

"I just can't believe Felicity would sink this low. If you three do this Oliver will never forgive you. I recommend you turn around and leave" Curtis let loose couples, T Spears, into the air.

Laurel let out a deep sigh. Then went to work. Using her cry so precisely she took out each T spear within minutes without damaging anything else in the room. Rene went pale seeing the display of skill.

Dinah let loose her own cry which Laurel easily dodged. Laurel retaliated with her own sending Dinah slamming into the computers Felicity so prized. Leaving her in an unconscious heap. Laurel then made short work of Curtis. Who was pitifully trained in her opinion?

She gave Rene a wide smile. As he fired his tranquilizer guns. Which again she easily dodged moving in close she easily disarmed him. Flipping him over her shoulder into the display that had once held Roy's costume.

Dinah! Rene! Curtis! Anyone! Laurel could hear most of these desperate cries over the Comm.

"Hello Felicity," Laurel answered.

"Laurel, what the hell did you do? What the hell did you do to my husband? Where's the team?" She asked as an afterthought.

Laurel shook her head. Her recruits were only an afterthought to her. " Felicity, I didn't do anything to Oliver. Yes, it did take an outside force for the two of us to see the light. A Cosmic Force actually" Laurel paused. Waiting for Felicity's reaction.

" What do you mean by a cosmic Force?" Felicity demanded. "Honestly neither I nor Ollie truly understands. Only that we were shown the future, a dark future. Where Oliver sacrifices himself for the Multiverse"

"What the hell do you mean sacrificing himself?" Laurel shook her head. This woman couldn't be more dense. "I mean he sacrificed himself for the whole goddamn Multiverse all of effing creation"

Laurel paused once again. Letting Felicity take in her words. "Okay, I understand what the hell does that have to do with my marriage?" A big grin crossed Laurel's face. " We were shown more than one future. The other was filled with light. The Glorious age of heroism jump-started by a joint effort of the Green Arrow and Black Canary'

Slabside

Upon arriving Felicity immediately hung up. Not wanting to hear any more of Laurel's lies. This was nothing more than a misunderstanding. When she spoke to Oliver everything would be clear up.

"Hello, I am Felicity Smoak-Queen. I'm here to see my husband" the guard smiled. He had been awaiting her arrival. "Sure this way Miss"

Oliver was there waiting for her. He looked happier than he had in a long time. Felicity closed her eyes trying to block out the pain. Picking up the phone "The hell Oliver a divorce?" Oliver hung his head.

"Felicity I'm sorry, the Spectre as he calls himself appeared to me and Laurel. His power is immense beyond anything I have ever witnessed. I'm sorry for the sake of all of creation. I have to leave you. Laurel and I are critical on a cosmic scale we can only do it together" tears now flowed down Oliver's cheeks.

He hadn't taken into account how hard this would be. Divorcing a woman he did love very deeply. But Laurel his love for her was on a different scale. Apparently, on such a scale it could tip the cosmic balance.

Maybe that's all it was supposed to happen. Laurel had already set the groundwork in motion she had worked alongside Batman and the Green Lantern. Not to mention his own relationship with Barry. Although he couldn't say he was happy to hear of her affair with Batman. But that was a discussion for another day.

" I care for you deeply, Felicity. There wasn't a day that went by where I didn't think about the two of us together. The children we would have. I never had any intention of leaving you even if Laurel was the love of my life" Oliver paused.

" Then why are you leaving me? We can still fix things that dark future need not come to pass now that we know about it. Please, Oliver, I love you you're the love of my life please don't do this" Felicity said desperately.

"Felicity I'm sorry, I can't. It's just not about me it's about my descendants. They too are critical on a cosmic scale."

"Damn you, Oliver. Why do you always have to be so selfless? I know you love me, you're throwing It all away for something that may happen. For a woman, you had cheated on multiple times with her sister no less" Felicity was now openly crying.

It pained Oliver to see Felicity like this. But it wasn't a choice. Honestly, he had only moved on because Laurel made it quite clear didn't want a relationship with him after everything with Tommy. Felicity wasn't even his first choice Sara had been.

But Sara always running from her problems. Never facing them. Sara, the woman who truly knew him, was the only one who understood what he had been through because she had gone through the same. They were like fire together in some ways they work better together than he did with Laurel. Maybe to like to work in the long run.

But it was always him and Laurel always and forever. Always drawn back to each other. Soulmates even the Spectre said that. Oliver wasn't sure if the cosmic being understood the concept of love. But his words ring true.

Only rarely does my master permit such great love. One Soul, two bodies. Love like this has only been witnessed rarely across the eons. The two of you are to shape a new golden age of heroism.

I must leave you now. I showed you all that I was permitted. What you do from here on out is your choice: you can act on it or do nothing. The choice is yours.

With that Spectre disappeared in a flash of green.

"Hey, Earth to Oliver. This isn't over Oliver. We will discuss this further once you are released. And you will see reason" with that Felicity stood and stomped out.

3 days later

Two women stood outside the prison both waiting for the same man. Neither was fully aware of what had just taken place inside its walls. The ordeal he had just gone through. But none of that mattered at this moment. One would be reunited with her beloved the other would be sorely disappointed.

The Buker

John couldn't believe what he was hearing. Oliver was divorcing Felicity, some Cosmic being involved. Laurel trashing the bunker. Attacking the team. Leaving Dinah in the hospital. Rene and Curtis black and blue all unable to go out on the field.

What the hell had happened to her? During her years away from making her so selfish. That she would turn on her friends just to get Oliver back. John was at a loss what to do.

Back at Slabside

Oliver with his body battered and bruised. Walked out a free man. He smiled at his pretty bird standing there holding her coat. They had a destiny to fulfill. Laurel had set the ball rolling. There was a new team waiting for him back in Star City. Three archers, I waited for him ready to restart their mission to save their city, not only the city, this time the world, the whole Multiverse.

His train of thought was broken. When a short blonde jumped into his arms then kissed him on the lips. Laurel could only shake her head, still delusional as ever.

Oliver immediately pushed her away "Felicity I told you things are over between us."He did his best not to scold her further. There was much on his mind foremost long-awaited reunion with Laurel.

Not to mention the plan meeting. She had set up with Barry's help. Barry had generously donated a huge aircraft hangar owned by STAR labs to host a meeting. Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg, and the Green Lantern

had all agreed to show.

But those worried would have to wait for another day. The meeting wasn't for two weeks. Both Laurel and Barry agreed Oliver needed to get his sea legs back before attending such a meeting.

The Bunker

They arrive together. United front against a team. Not really a team but traitors. One who sided with Felicity over their founder. There was going to be hell to pay for their attack on Laurel. Arsenal Artemis and Speedy all waited in the winds to step in if necessary.

Oliver let them have it as soon as the door opened. "What the hell what the possessed, any of you to attack Laurel?" None of them have ever seen Oliver so Furious.

John stepped forward, decking Oliver on the jaw. "Who the hell gave you the right to break her heart. She's your wife goddammit. Your friend, teammate, she's been by your side since the very beginning…" John didn't get a chance to finish this tirade.

He soon found himself flat on his back with a broken nose. "I'm done, John. Done with your crap. Truthfully you never have my back. I turned away from the list because of you and Felicity. The city has gone to hell because of it."

Now holding the List in hand he continued.

"These are the people who are poisoning the city. With the help of my new team, it will complete my original Mission. Saving the city from the people who are truly poisoning it. Of course, we will still handle Street crime but those are merely symptoms of the larger problem"

Oliver's speech left Felicity in the recruits' speechless jaws open. It was Felicity who asked.

"What do you mean new team?"

On Cue, the elevator door opened revealing three archers two dressed in red the other a mixture of green and yellow. "You already know Arsenal and Speedy. I would like you to meet Artemis" Laurel announced with glee.

John now pulling himself off the floor "You're the Green Arrow you're the one that's been operating my offer has been in jail" Artemis simply nodded. Waiting for Oliver's permission to reveal her identity.

Dinah, who only got out of the hospital this morning asked. "This was all planned, all of it the arrival of the new Green Arrow Laurel's return" Oliver nodded.

Laurel stepped forward placing her hands upon the table. "All of you are off the team. None of you can be trusted. All of you have broken trust many times only to be forgiven but no more. If you do something foolish we will come for you all I ask from you is that you leave in peace"

Unable to contain herself Felicity let out a laugh " how the hell are you expected to do all this on your own none of you are Tech experts. Oliver's the only one with some skill. And those are rather weak"

Roy and Thea simply shook their heads. Felicity continued to dig a bigger hole for herself. "Felicity, you're wrong on that front we do have a new Tech expert" Oliver gestured and Artemis removed her Hood.

Revealing unknown women. "Felicity John recruits I would like you to meet my half-sister Emiko" the room suddenly became silent.

"My father cruelly abandoned my half-sister at my mother's request a decade ago. Thea and Roy stumble upon the truth not long after I was sent to prison. They tracked her down with Laurels help to find her a dark path Laurel through her Infinite Wisdom help my sister see the light"

"Turning her away from Darkness back to the light. All I ask for you all is to get out and return to your civilian lives. The five of us have everything handled" with that Oliver fell silent.

The recruits left without saying another word. Knowing Oliver could have ended them all right there if you wanted to. He had chosen to take the high road forgiving their betrayal. Getting kicked off the team was truly the best-case scenario.

John and Felicity stood their ground. Unwilling to see reality. "If you're truly doing this Oliver I will fight you every step of the way I will make her divorce hell" she certainly made a move to the computers attempting to activate the Fail-Safe program she installed.

If Oliver was kicking her off she would deny him access to the program she designed. But she didn't make it to the computer. Emiko intervened, grabbing the blonde tossing her over her shoulder onto one of the training mats.

" Felicity!" John yelled as he raced to her side.

Seeing what was happening, Arsenal Speedy drew their bows pointing them at John. "Don't be stupid John. We're giving you out just take it. Don't be a fool, you'll be dead before ..."

John was foolish; he drew his sidearm. Only to be hit by tranquilizer Arrow. Speedy had chosen to take the higher path. Although Arsenal had a lethal arrow at the ready.

Oliver looking at Felicity. " I'm willing to give you one last chance. Leave this place and don't return. I don't want to see your face again unless it's in court. I'm taking the high road here. I have enough evidence to put you away, Felicity."

She winced knowing it was true. She hadn't thought during the time she worked with helix. Going behind the team's back helping you escape a federal prisoner. Not to mention how that all came back to bite the team. "Okay, okay, I'm leaving. But I'm not ready to give up on you. I love you Oliver I'm not done fighting for you.

Epilogue

What the Spectre told them came to pass. It was Batman and Wonder Woman who brought the team together when the time came. The battle against Steppenwolf was hard-fought. But in the end, they prevailed. Barry saved the day this time.

Next came Darkseid. They nearly lost everything in that fight. Hal Jordan gave his life during that battle. His ring ended up choosing a redeemed John Diggle Stewart Earth's new Green Lantern. Laurel had taken Hal's death fairly hard; she had worked alongside him for 7 months during her time away.

After Darkseid, the next few years prove to be relatively peaceful. Both of Oliver's and Laurel's children would be born during those years. Connor first then Olivia two years later. They rebuilt the mansion. Both Oliver and Thea wanted their children to grow up in the same place they had. Emiko too happily accepted a room in the mansion.

Emiko would be named CEO of Queen Consolidated which was now back under family control thanks to the brilliant legal wrangling from Laurel and Emiko's business sense. As it turned out Emiko had earned many business degrees in a futile attempt to earn her father's approval.

Oliver would take his place in a company as well. But his role was more symbolic than anything else. Thea eventually not only reopened the nightclub she expanded upon it opening additional clubs up and down the West Coast.

All hell broke loose in 2024 when the crisis the Spectre had warned them about finally happened. The Anti-Monitor was beyond anything they ever dealt with before. Only the sacrifice of The Flash and the Supergirl of Earth 38. Prevented Armageddon.
