EPILOGUE
Sophia's POV
One would think after 100 years that one would grow tired of the world but in my experience everyday there was something new to learn, something new to love or in my case...fall deeper in love with my mate and my husband, it's been 100 years to this day that I had met the love of my life Demetri and not once have I ever felt complacent or tediously with our life together and that of our daughters who I still marveled at to this day because she truly was our miracle and I never took that for granted that I had been blessed with the two of them after my miserable beginning to life.
She might not have been gifted but she was the greatest gift aside from Demetri I'd ever had the privilege of having and she was still a respected part of our coven as any of us, even more so that she was the Volturi's pride and joy after the vampire world quickly became aware of hybrid's existence since it wasn't possible to hide her from the world...no her and Renesmee as well as the others in brazil were brought into the light and revealed as a possibility but with the news of their existence also brought new laws against the over creation of them from the Volturi and anyone who broke that and risked exposure to our kind was dealt with meaning they were still a very rare occurrence and less that 50 hybrids were known in these past 100 years as not everyone was resistant to actually be successful in siring a child.
"Mi amore, please convince your daughter" I rolled my eyes at Demetri's childness as he walked into the library in which I'd escaped to once I heard the familiar father/daughter duo butting heads.
Thea was as stubborn as Demetri and as resist as me to be bossed around being that she was nearly 100 years old herself and fully grown but lately she was beginning to feel like there was more in the world for her and she'd been adamant that she wanted to explore the world which of course her overbearing and protective father disagreed with even though she had the ancients permission to travel the globe being that Aro absolutely adored her and treated her like the Volturi's princess...she even called him grandpa sometimes much his amusement and that of ours.
"Demetri we can't keep her here forever" I argued getting up from the couch by the fire and approached him. "She's restless and we have to let her explore the world at least once"
"Are you kidding me, your supposed to be on my side" I smiled and cupped his cheeks.
"I'm always on your side but she's nearly 100...I think it's time we loosen the reins a little"
"But she'll-" I pressed my lips to his silencing him and he sighed into the kiss.
"Demetri, we raised a beautiful, strong and independent woman but she's seen everything there is for her to learn here and I think that this is something that she needs to do and we have to respect her choices"
"But...what if she doesn't come back?" if there was one thing about Demetri I both admired and hated was his fear that we were going to leave him even after 100 years of telling him differently.
"She'll come back and whether that is to stay or visit, it is her choice"
"Mom's right Dad" we both looked up seeing Thea standing in the doorway looking as beautiful as ever, she had dirty blonde hair and the perfect blue eyes and was more beautiful than me, Chelsea and Heidi put together. "No matter how far I go, who I meet this will always be home"
"But your my little girl" Demetri argued poorly.
"And I always will be, I'm always going to be your little girl daddy" she run up and hugged him tightly leaving me to smile adoringly at the sight. "I have to do this, I want to see the world" I saw Demetri's shoulders sag and I winked at Thea when she looked up both of us knowing he had caved.
"Alright but I need to know where you are at all times"
"You're a tracker Dad, you'll always know where I am" she laughed and even I did since she had him there. "And if I need you your both only a phone call away and then Mom can zap the two of you to wherever I am" I scoffed at the world 'zap' since it was ghosting but they persisted it calling it 'zapping'.
But that was very true since in the span of 100 years I'd mastered my ability that I can literally travel across the world within seconds and while I had been afraid to try it at first I had leant that I can take objects with me by holding onto them and with some extensive practice it turned into people making me the Volturi's greatest assets next to Jane, Alec and Demetri.
"You call us every day Althea Georgiou-Volturi" he told her as they finally let go of each other.
"Dad you don't have to use my full name" she complained making us laugh before I hugged her as well.
"Go easy on your Dad okay, we both just worry about you"
"I know, I know but I'm 100 years old"
"You'll always be our miracle baby to us" I told her and she smiled nodding her head before she left to go and pack considering she finally had the closest thing to our full consent as she was going to get especially from Demetri. "She'll be fine Demetri, we taught her everything she knows and she's the very best parts of us...as well as the bad parts like your stubbornness sometimes"
"Hey, your just as stubborn Sophia" I rolled my eyes but smiled as I grabbed his hand squeezing it.
"I know your scared for her since the Volturi still have enemies and she's known as the Volturi princess but she's strong and like she reminded us, you can find her anywhere on this planet and I can get us there within seconds"
"I know" he sighed before he squeezed my hand and we left the library to head to the throne room to let the ancients know that we finally agreed to let Thea travel.
"So you two finally caved huh?" Felix smirked walking up to us. "Thea practically just ran me over in a rush to pack"
"It was inevitable" I shrugged my shoulders.
"Of course it was, that girls more stubborn than the two of you put together" we both glared at him but he just laughed. "Besides she'll be fine, I taught her how to kick ass if anyone thinks they can take her down"
"Thanks for the image Felix" Demetri bit back at him.
"Relax mate" Felix clapped his shoulder before walking away just as we reached the throne room and went inside.
Thirty minutes later we were standing at the private Volturi airstrip in front of the private jet in which Thea would be leaving us on, heading to Egypt for her first stop as she was going to catch up with Calli as per Demetri's request and of course stop over to see Amun who in the past 100 years we'd visited ourselves and they'd met Thea being that she practically Amun's granddaughter in accordance of him being Demetri's sire and once again she was treated as such because it was impossible not to love her and Calli was the cool Aunt as she had self-proclaimed herself as and Thea gladly agreed with it.
"Calli will meet you at the airport"
"Yes Dad, you've said nearly 20 times already"
"Don't give your father attitude Althea" I reminded her. "Now you just be careful okay and please, don't cause any trouble with any other covens and stay away from Romania" we still haven't gotten on good terms with that coven.
"Of course Mom" she nodded before pulling us into a hug and we both wrapped our arms tightly around her, I knew if I could try I'd have a few tears running down my face because while I was a little more okay about this than Demetri it was still hard letting my baby girl go off on her own.
"Remember we're only a phone call away at any time Kóri"
{Translation: Daughter}
"I know, Bampás" she replied making me smile at the two of them speaking Greek, he had taught her fluent Greek her entire life and they often had full conversations with me slightly clueless often than not since I left it for them to have something between them and only knew enough to know majority of what they said most of the time. "S'agapó Mamá, Bampá" she hugged us again.
{Translation: Dad} {I love you Mom, Dad}
"We love you too" I told her before letting go. "Now go before your Dad changes his mind" she smiled picking up her backpack before boarding the plane and we watched it take off from the tarmac.
"Never thought we'd ever let her go" Demetri sighed hanging his head from watching the disappearing plane.
"We're not letting her go, we're letting her explore but I know she'll be back"
"How?"
"Because the love between a daughter and her parents is the strongest thing next to our love for each other and we have eternity so she'll be back" I smiled at him grabbing his hand. "Because in my experience, eternal love sings to each other" I smiled at him before pulling him into a kiss before we returned to the castle continuing on eternal love.
