Shuichi and Kokichi are a couple now! If you want to see how that happened, read part 3! Because I'm not doing much of a recap! Anyway, here's part 4! What's gonna happen now that a detective and a thief are a couple?

Detective's Ex

The air was hot and Kokichi panted heavily as he impaled himself on Shuichi. He had the detective's shoulders pinned as he made sweet love to him. Kokichi wanted to see Shuichi's beautiful face as they had sex, but Shuichi kept throwing a hand over it as if in shame. It drove Kokichi nuts.

This was only their third time having sex, the second since getting together. Kokichi knew Shuichi wasn't much of a sexual person, so that made the few times they actually did do it extra special.

Kokichi reached up and gently pulled Shuichi's hand away. "I want to see your face, darling," he purred, "You're so beautiful."

Shuichi gently shuddered beneath him. "D-Don't say things that aren't true," he murmured.

"I would never lie to you about how wonderful I think you are!" Kokichi gasped, "I'm not that cruel! You know how much I love you!"

"Y-Yeah, I know," Shuichi panted, then gasped as Kokichi thrusted downwards particularly hard.

It wasn't long before they finished and Kokichi collapsed on top of Shuichi, panting slightly. "That was amazing," Kokichi praised, "You're so wonderful, Shuichi!"

Shuichi shivered slightly. "I don't know about that," he muttered.

"You have to stop beating yourself up," Kokichi scolded, "You're allowed to take pride in yourself, you know."

"I know I am," Shuichi sighed, "But I've been this way for a long time. As long as I can remember. I've never been very confident in myself. And when my ex-girlfriend cheated on me and left me it made everything I hate about myself worse."

Kokichi remembered Shuichi mentioning an ex once or twice, but he never asked him for details as he didn't want to cause him distress. He got up and started gathering their clothes for them as Shuichi continued.

"Rantaro helped a lot," he said, "We… dated for a while. We were getting pretty serious but then our friends decided they didn't like it and made us break up."

"Some friends," Kokichi muttered as he got back into bed with him. As he handed Shuichi his clothes, he fought back the biting jealousy he felt in his gut. He had no reason to be jealous of Shuichi's friend. He said they had broken up. And now he was dating Shuichi.

That doesn't mean they don't still have feelings for each other, a nagging, evil voice in the back of his head hissed. Kokichi blocked it out as he got dressed then made himself comfortable next to Shuichi.

"Well, if our friends hadn't made us split up, I'm pretty sure I would've caused us to break up after a while anyway," Shuichi muttered, "I was always so anxious and too afraid to do anything with Rantaro. W-We never even had sex. I couldn't even kiss him without getting nervous."

Kokichi sighed and snuggled up to him. "That's just because you were inexperienced," he told him, "You were probably thinking too much about it. Think back to when we first kissed in that bar. You weren't nervous at all!"

"I guess so," Shuichi murmured.

"So like I said: stop being hard on yourself all the time. Just stop thinking so hard about it and react naturally," Kokichi told him.

"If you say so," Shuichi mumbled.

The two got comfortable against each other and Kokichi nuzzled his face into Shuichi's neck. Shuichi leaned over and turned off the lights, plunging the room into darkness.

Shuichi's breathing was harsh as his nightmare consumed him. It seemed like every night he suffered from a new demented dream. Tonight's horror had him being smothered in a sea of naked bodies, every one of them trying to touch him in some way. There were loud, sexual moans in his ears and the hands started tearing at his clothes, ripping them off his body. He tried to fight them off, but more hands grabbed him and kept him still. Shuichi cried out as the naked bodies pressed closer and closer…

"Shuichi!" Kokichi hissed, shaking him awake, "Shuichi!"

With a loud gasp, Shuichi woke, a cold sweat enveloping him. Kokichi was hovering over him, a concerned look on his face.

"Are you ok?" he asked worriedly, "You looked so frightened."

"I-I'm fine," Shuichi lied, "Is something wrong?"

"Yeah. I heard someone moving around in your living room," Kokichi whispered, "I think someone broke into your apartment."

Shuichi's breath caught in his throat and his heart sped up. Someone was in his apartment? Who? Why? He had nothing of value to steal! Oh God, maybe someone was here to kill him!

"Calm down, Shuichi," Kokichi urged when he saw his boyfriend starting to panic, "We don't know who's out there or why. Maybe I can get rid of them."

He put a finger to his lips and carefully slid out of bed. Shuichi followed him to the door where Kokichi very slowly opened it and peered into the living room. He was very confused by what he saw.

A young woman dressed in expensive clothes was sitting at the couch, checking her phone, looking like she owned the place. She definitely didn't look like a burglar. Kokichi was about to ask what she was doing here, but Shuichi spoke first.

"Mayu?" he gasped, "W-What are you doing here? Why are you here?"

The woman looked up from her phone and smiled. "Shuichi! It's about time you woke up!" she gently teased, "I've been waiting at least an hour for you to wake! It's nearly seven! You should be up by now!"

"Shuichi, who is this woman?" Kokichi asked quietly.

"This is… my ex-girlfriend," Shuichi muttered, not really wanting to say it. He was still confused as to how she got into his apartment.

"Your ex-girlfriend who cheated on you?" Kokichi clarified, a low growl entering his voice.

"Oh, I don't like to think of it as cheating," Mayu dismissed, "I prefer 'temporarily leaving to pursue other options.' But I realized the errors of my ways and I came to get back together with you!"

"W-What?" Shuichi stuttered.

"You can't just decide that you're getting back together with him without asking him!" Kokichi snarled at her, "Especially after doing something so terrible! Besides, you're too late! I'm dating him now!"

Mayu stared at him for a moment before letting out an icy laugh. "You?" she sneered, "No one would ever want to go out with a runt like you!"

"Excuse me," Shuichi hissed, "How did you get into my apartment?"

"I still had the spare key you gave me," Mayu explained, "You never told me to give it back. Anyway, now that I'm here, we can be happy again, just like old times!"

Shuichi looked away and took a deep breath. "Mayu… you really hurt me when you left me for that other man," he murmured, "It broke me. And it took me a long time for me to recover. I'm still picking up the pieces. I don't think I'll ever be the same after what you did to me. And you have the nerve to come back here and try to act like we can just get back together? Like none of that ever happened? And you insult my boyfriend on top of it? You must be joking! How dare you!"

Mayu took a surprised step back as Kokichi smiled proudly at him. "B-But Shuichi… darling—"

"Get out of my apartment, Mayu!" Shuichi growled at her, "I never want to see you again!"

The woman stared at him, shocked, before frowning. "Fine!" she snapped, "I was only doing you a favor by getting back with you anyway! You clearly need me more than I need you! Good luck with your life mediocrity!" Then she stormed out of the apartment and slammed the door behind her.

"Yeah, I doubt I need you," Shuichi muttered. He heaved a great sigh and went over to sit down on the couch, exhausted.

"I'm going to get the coffee started," Kokichi decided, "Make ya feel better."

"Thanks," Shuichi replied, "No sugar or cream."

"Don't worry, I remember," Kokichi said with a grin. While Shuichi took his coffee plain, Kokichi took his with lots of sugar and lots of cream. Shuichi wondered how he could stand it.

When the coffee was done, Kokichi brought two mugs over to the couch and sat down next to Shuichi, handing one to him. He pressed up against the detective, gently snuggling him, as Shuichi took a long, savory sip of his coffee.

"How're you feeling?" Kokichi asked, taking a sip of his own.

"Better," Shuichi sighed, "I'm just… shocked she had the nerve to show up here. I can't believe she actually thought I would take her back so easily. She didn't even apologize for what she did!"

"Yeah, I noticed that," Kokichi muttered.

"I had heard she had broken up with her previous boyfriend, the man she cheated with and left me for," Shuichi explained, "He was rich and an investor, which was why she went with him. But recently all of his investments fell through and now he's flat broke, so I guess she left him. But I never thought she would try to come back to me. I thought she would just try to find another rich guy."

"What a slut," Kokichi growled, "You can't trust women like that. Or anyone like that. Maybe she tried to woo rich men but they all caught onto her and rejected her. That's what I'm going to think, anyway. Makes me feel better."

Shuichi let out a gentle laugh and pressed against him. "You would never leave me, right Kokichi?" he asked.

"Of course not!" Kokichi gasped, "You're my one and only love! I'll never let anyone hurt you!"

"Good," Shuichi murmured, "Then I promise I won't leave you either."

Kokichi gently nuzzled his face into his neck. "That makes me happier than you can know," he whispered.

This didn't turn out quite how I wanted it, but I'm still happy. Hopefully y'all like it. I just wanted some domestic fluff with these two as an actual couple now. It's a little on the shorter side, but oh well. Please leave a comment and look forward to the next part!
