Nico's POV:

They were everywhere. Flyers at both camps and excited omegas talking about it amongst themselves. Will looked over to me again and when I walked people would stop talking abruptly. Nobody was more afraid of saying something than Mitchell.

"So, Nico, are you going to go to your cabin tonight? Date night with Will? Anything fun going on?" Mitchell asked making not so subtle eye contact with Will

"Well, I want to go on a date definitely and tonight is good for me." Will said

"I'm coming to your dinner thing you have planned." I said

"Nico, you know it's for the pup, right?" Mitchell asked

"Yeah. I'm not going to miss it. I don't want to be the only omega that doesn't show up." I said

"You don't have to go of course." Mitchell said "There's no pressure."

"I'm going." I said ending the discussion

"Ok. No pressure, but the baby shower is tomorrow. Malcolm would be happy if you show up. He's never talked to you very much." Mitchell said

"Yeah. I wouldn't miss it. Plus us omegas have to stick together. Right Mitchell?" I asked

"Yeah." He said

"See you tonight." I said

After I said that my mouth tasted like metal. Like copper. Like I was going to puke. Will was next to me as if debating telling me that we are going to dinner instead. He doesn't want me to be depressed again.

Time Skip

"Thank you all for coming." Mitchell said to a group of omegas that had showed up

"Nico!" Mitchell said as if surprised I was even here

"Do you know where Alpha Malcolm is?" I asked

"He's with the other alpha's." Mitchell said his hands going down to his prominent bump

I've noticed he does that when talking about his alpha. I didn't do that as much and now I wish I had. Will squeezed my shoulder and I looked up at him.

"Nico, can we talk?" Will asked

"I want to go speak to Percy and Jason." I said

"Now, omega." Will said

I whimpered and followed him. I shouldn't have even tried to go against. I should have known it's important. I can smell his worry.

"I'm sorry alpha." I said

"Just, don't regret anything. You aren't the cause of anything. I want you to remember that." Will said as his blue eyes bore into my brown ones

"I won't alpha." I said and he let me find Percy and Jason

"I thought you said you would make sure he didn't come." Percy said to Malcolm

"He did come. Mitchell told me today that he was coming. He said Nico was set on coming." Malcolm replied

"I tried. I really did alpha's. I'm sorry." He said his head bowed down

"Don't apologize. Call us by our names, Mitchell. It's super formal." Percy said

"Yeah. Please. Try to get him to stay away from the baby shower. Do everything you can to make sure he doesn't come. We don't want him to think he killed his alpha's pup." Jason said

I whimpered and they turned around noticing me for the first time. Their scents changed and some of the omegas looked over noticing.

"We didn't mean anything. We know you didn't." Jason said soothing me

"Yeah. We know." Percy said

"Then why keep me away? I said I wanted to go. Why shield me from everything about pups?" I said

"We just wanted to protect you. Keep you from being hurt again." Percy said

"Well, you can't shield me." I said

"We can at least try." Percy said

"I'll have more pups if my alpha wants them. I'll be hurt again." I said

"Yeah you will be which is why you can't have more pups. We just don't want you to be hurt." Percy said

I jumped on him punching him. He immediately started to fight back and make sure I wasn't hitting him. Jason tried to pull me off, but I threw him off of me. My eyes burned purple as I hit him again.

"Get off of him." Will commanded

I got off of him moving to the side. We had totally ruined the streamers that were hung up and the "little girl" sign.

"I hate you! How could you?! I wanted to be happy for my pup! I even tried not to make the pup a big deal around you!" Mitchell yelled "Why couldn't you have not come! You ruin everything!"

Will gave me a disapproving look and Malcolm thought it best for us to leave. Mitchell was too upset at me. He said it wasn't bad. That he was hormonal and it happens.

Will said we should go back to the cabins, but I said I wanted to go home. He nodded and got the car keys. He drove us home and I slept the entire way. I only woke up when Will accidentally hit my foot on the door.

"You can sleep, pup." Will said kissing my forehead

"I'm sorry for ruining everything." I said tears gathering in my eyes

"Don't cry pup. I'll get you into the bath and I'll be there. We can talk for a bit or we can cuddle and pretend like nothing happened." Will said

"I want a bath alpha. No talking please." I said

He got me upstairs slowly taking my clothes off since it was hard and I wasn't helping. He kissed my lips tracing the scar on my stomach.

I sat up and his hand was instantly not on my stomach. He picked me up carrying me into the bathroom. He made sure the water was warm enough before he set me down. I curled up on him as he stroked my back.

We sat in silence for a while. Will is so understanding of everything I need and when I need time to be quiet. Quiet time if you will.

"I'm sorry for everything. You should have a pup by now. I understand if you want to mate with someone else." I said breaking the silence

"How could you ever think that? I love you. I mated with you. I want you. We don't need pups to be happy. You don't need to prove anything to your fellow omegas." Will said

"I do though. I hear them whispering that the pup died because of me. That I couldn't keep the pup alive because I'm the son of the god of the dead. It's not fair." I said

"Pup, you're all I need. I don't blame you for the attack. You tried everything you could to protect the pup." Will said

"I didn't do enough. The pup is dead because of me." I sobbed onto his chest

"Not at all. If they all knew what you were doing they wouldn't say things like that." Will said

"Yeah. I guess. I didn't mean for us to loose the pup though. I needed to help Annabeth though. She was too pregnant to defend herself. A beta can only do so much when pregnant." I said

"You saved her and in return you were attacked. If Annabeth hadn't gotten Percy...well, you wouldn't be here. I wouldn't have my mate or my pup." Will said

"I killed my pup though. My one job is to protect my alpha's pup and I couldn't even do that. I'm not worth your time. Find someone else please." I begged

"I can find someone else, but they will never compare to you. Your beautiful smile and the way you care for everything. I don't want anyone else." Will said

I curled in closer to him scenting him. He had the most amazing honey scent and he smelled like nature. I wish I could go back and change everything. I would be able to save everyone. Especially my pup.

Flashback

"We need to do something. All the alpha's will die." Will said grabbing more gauze for a wounded beta

"Someone go get more supplies. I need more gauze. Kayla!" Will said as a patient started to seize

I left to go get more supplies from the actual infirmary. We had set up a makeshift one because so many were hurt. I saw Annabeth trying to run away from a monster. It trapped her against a tree.

I ran down my bump still small. I'm only five months after all. I'm going to forever be small. I hope. I stabbed the monster and it exploded into dust.

I helped Annabeth up and she was panting. I helped her up the hill some. A blinding pain shot through my entire body. Annabeth had fallen and I was face to face with the biggest hellhound I had ever seen. It clawed at me and I moved away. Annabeth was gone.

I screamed when it came after me again. I ran away a skeletal army distracting the hellhound. I was panting and I dropped to the ground my legs not able to take me any farther.

My legs had three slash marks from the hellhound getting a good swipe on me. I tried to stop the bleeding as I tried in vain to crawl away.

The hellhound was over me and it took a good swipe at my stomach which I was trying to protect. It exploded, but the damage had been done. I was bleeding everywhere and I choked up some blood.

The metallic taste filled my mouth and I was lifted by strong arms. Annabeth was next to this person as she cradled her stomach. The pup. I need to help my pup.

"It's okay Nico. We have you. It's Percy. I want you to take some slow breaths. Breathe in and out. I'm going to get you to the infirmary." Percy said

I nodded my head becoming too heavy as I choked up more blood onto myself. Percy called out for help and immediately I could hear voices coming.

"Nico! Gods what happened? We need Kayla. Don't get Will. Only Kayla. I need Austin. Get every available healer. Someone take her. It seems like she's shaken up. Make sure she's not in labor." A Apollo child said

I was gently set down as my clothes were cut open. I can barely keep my eyes open. It's too hard. I can't. Everything is getting blurry.

"Where is he?" Will yelled

I can hear him. I don't know if he came into the room fully, but I heard Kayla tell him to leave. She was talking about something. It was hard to hear.

"I'm not leaving him or my pup." Will said

I moved some choking up more blood. Kayla said something, but I couldn't hear. I feel as if my head is underwater.

"Help him!" Will yelled "Help my pup! Help them!"

He was being told to leave and someone took him out even as he screamed and begged for me. I blacked out and the next thing I was being told was that I had lost my pup. The pup was a boy.

"Alpha, I'm sorry that I couldn't carry your pup. You can do what you please with me." I said

Will looked sick at the thought. He cradled me explaining that I could grieve for the pup, but that I wasn't allowed to blame myself for it.

Flashback Ended

"I want to talk to Percy soon. I'll probably shadow travel to camp. Do you want to come?" I asked

"Yeah. I need to talk to Mitchell and Malcolm." Will said

Next Day

"Alpha Percy, I'm sorry." I said "I'm sorry, Alpha Jason."

"It's okay. Let's go on as if it never happened." Percy and Jason said

I leaned against him and we watched a movie. Jason was on my other side. I curled up and Annabeth came out. She was holding their pup that was rooting around for food.

"Would you like to take care of him? I'm in desperate need of a shower." Annabeth said

"Yeah. Percy and I can handle it." Jason said

"I meant Nico." She said

"Uh...yeah. Sure. I'll do it." I said

She carefully set the pup, Charlie down. I immediately repositioned him for my comfort. I set a pillow under my arm and I calmed my scent to calm him down.

"You're a lifesaver." She said leaving to shower

Percy started to laugh and he reached for Charlie. I growled low in my throat and he put his hands up in surrender.

My omega was purring at the baby. I was smiling at him and Will walked in. When he noticed what was happening he came over. He crouched in front of me looking at Charlie.

"He's really playful." Percy said when he shook the octopus he had

I nodded and Percy took him from me. I growled, but Will told me to calm down. I nodded and Percy got him to smile. He giggled and my heart melted.

"He's so cute." I said stroking his cheek

"Yeah. We've been talking about at least one more. We have Arielle and Logan. Now him. Four pups seems to be a good amount." Percy said

"We have two." Jason said "I love my two pups. I do love a pregnant Piper though. She's so different. She acts so confident and she seems so sure of herself."

"I don't have any pups." I said

"I've been thinking we should have a pup." Will said

I nodded, but I started to cry. He wiped tears away and I nodded again. He gently put our lips together. I could feel the warmth of his lips on my cold ones.

"You don't have to. It's just a suggestion." Will said

"I don't want a pup right now. At least not until after the baby shower." I said

He nodded and we stayed in complete silence. Charlie was giggling and babbling about something random. He loved being near me. Will said it's because I smell and feel safe. It's in my omega nature.

Baby Shower

"Thanks for coming." Mitchell said sitting in a rocking chair surrounded by gifts for the baby

"We have something for you too." I said giving him our gift

"Are you serious?" He asked looking down at the card

"Yeah." I said

"Thank you so much!" He said hugging me

"What is it?" Leo asked

"It's a hundred grand. For college." Mitchell said

Malcolm kissed Mitchell and thanked both of us. I sat down next to Will snuggling into his side. He gave me a passionate kiss.

"Will, I have something to tell you." I said after Mitchell opened all of his gifts

"Hmmm?" Will asked

"I'm going to have two pups." I said

He jumped off the couch. I stood up too and he tackled me kissing my neck.

"Are you serious?" Will asked

"Yeah. I missed my heat and I had an appointment this morning." I said

"What happened?" Percy asked

"I thought I saw a spider." I said

Annabeth jumped onto Percy and Malcolm was already standing on a chair.

"It's fine. False alarm." Will said

"We aren't going to say anything." I said "Not until it's our day. I only told you. I am going to tell everyone at some point." I said

Will nodded and he kissed me again excusing both of us from the baby shower saying something had come up. I'm not even mad we left. Even if I did miss out on a few games.
