A Calamity In Time
Chapter 17: Confrontation
Date: July 24th, 2021
Intro: Get ready for the beginning of the end in more ways than one, this is the 5th to last chapter!
Brayden calls the entire team to an emergency meeting at 8 AM in the morning. Dominic is the one to start: "Our enemy Gorganan has begun to make his move drastically, for the first time in a while, he has been spotted in one of the worlds that we have helped save in the past: the world of Animal Crossing and Brayden herself has sensed his presence in Fun Land of all places, we need all hands on deck!" Brayden adds: "I havent felt so much dark power in a really long time which is a bad sign, it appears that Gorganan is stronger than ever! The final battle is yet to come but it wont be today so we need to make sure we draw with him so we dont reveal all of our techniques. I am ordering the entire team to immediately travel to Fun Land by any means necessary, we will meet by the town hall, lets just hope we arent too late.. If Gorganan manages to beat us while we hold back our full power, Dominic has something that will take him down too! Go my teammates, there is only so much time left before the town of Fun Land and beyond is shrouded in pure darkness if its not destroyed!" So with that, all of head straight to Fun Land, I end up inside of my house in Fun Land which is a pretty good place to be right now.
Dominic shows up next to me and exclaims: "Well, it looks like we are in private for now Adam and I have been wanting to tell you about something my alternative self proposed recently so we might as well discuss while we can without too many knowing. It needs to be a secret or else it might be used against us and destroy the fabric of reality as we know it." "Just what are you planning on doing?" "Glad you asked, Dr. Duns calls it the Pens of Physics, a pen so infused with the power of art, science, magic, time, and space that it could have supreme power over reality. This pen would only be used in dire situations to erase for example the SDL from 5 seconds into the future and beyond that time."
*Meanwhile in the year 3019 in a place known as the Infinity Sector* A robotic Dominic cheers as a device of his finally works. "Yes! After so many years, I can bring my friends all back from the empty abyss and elsewhere! Minecraftia has changed so much since the Age of Calamity and so has Miitopia and just about everywhere else. Ive spent the past 200 years trying to bring those friends back as the 2020s are being rewritten which means this timeline will cease to exist if the power of this time isnt used to help that time. Brayden was the last to pass on, she lived far longer than any typical mortal could while I resorted to replacing my cells with mechanical parts to keep myself alive. I remember the day I learned history was being changed, I had just finished helping achieve a stateless utopia uniting Miitopia under the workers when my technology detected an anomaly! Now rise my dear friend Warrior Adam from your eternal lack of purpose, from the abyss itself! Enter this body I created for your very being to once again live with purpose! If It werent for history changing, you would be in some sort of afterlife." Inside of Dominic`s machine rises an aged Warrior Adam via a bright pink light. "Dominic, you removed me from the abyss of infinite nothing and it is only now I regain my memories of living! After I died, I ended up there with everything about me erased from my memory and more! How did you do it? What year is it?" "My friend, its 1000 years after the day the SDL was finally defeated after so much struggle. 3019!" "3019?!"
"Yes, hundreds of years after I finished mechnizing myself into a nearly immortal machine with the soul of a mii, I saw something bad, history is being rewritten as we speak, we are in the Infinity Sector a billion blocks from Twisted Land. Due to history being rewritten and the ripple effects not having reached the 2800s yet, I set out to revive you and other friends to help save the past with the power of ourselves and our present day! This needed to be done, the villain Gorganan has managed to destroy the history that led to this city`s founding and as the chief scientist of multiple universes, I cant let the destruction consume everything! Our very home is slowly dissipating already! The final battle is when we will fight but first we must get the others back and build up our power! To do so, I will start by handing you this deck of cards!" "Is this the Twisted Land deck?" "The power of your creation will flow through you and help pave the way for a reality free of that time traveling Gorganan! When we get the others back, we will reform the Council of Light which we founded in 2032 which was so long ago! That will let us unify our people!" "If we are going to do this, I had better send a message to the past, tell me the time and destination and with my power, I will warn the past of what is at stake!" "No Adam, we must not, that will only change history even more, we have to believe that our altered past selves can do this, hold out till we come in to help!" "You got me!"
*Back to the present* "Well, thats a great idea but we had better not keep the others waiting, we cannot let Gorganan do anything to this world!" "Right! I should have taken a nap earlier, I need to chill.. But I will fight still!" Waiting outside is Brayden: "Adam, Dominic, I need you two alongside the other leaders within our large team, I got everyone else on standby but something told me that I needed to gather all of the leaders including myself!" I reply: "Well, lead the way!" Some time passes and we are all together with the other leaders including: Krush, Atem, Yuma, Astral, Yusei, Jaden, Yuya, Declan, Twilight Sparkle, Sonic, Tyler, General Blorgon, Lloyd, and Master Wu. Gorganan makes an appearance: "Oh yes, just the mortals Ive been expecting! Come right this way, I want to have a little chat with all of you!" Brayden responds frowning: "We have no trust in you. Why would we follow you for any reason, you are a tricky villain who has created lots of trouble for us all." "We are at war and I will destroy your side so because all of you will be destroyed, no treaty would be able to be signed! I cant imagine you beating me but lets imagine you beating me even though you wont: you`ll want a treaty too but my defeat would destroy me!" Astral states: "This is logical, we should follow you but if you try anything, I will see to it that we force you to flee back to where you came from." With no further objections, we follow the creep to a large picnic table with chairs right under some trees and by some flowers. I keep my guard up the whole time and when we get there, we all sit down. Gorganan transforms into a human and clears his throat: "Now that we are here together to sign a treaty, we will discuss terms for it and all sign in the end. I am going to destroy you after this but we`ll get to that later!"
The next while is spent discussing and debating until we have a solid written out and signed treaty, Brayden does the honors of reading the treaty in full besides signatures: "We the leaders of the forces of good and evil agree on this day July 24th, 2021 to establish a treaty for whichever outcome of this conflict comes to be. We gather here in a temporary peace to make this official. If darkness wins, all of existence will be bound to whatever fate Gorganan chooses. He will also absorb all of our abilities and do with us whatever he wishes. If the light wins, any current time alteration by Gorganan will be undone. Gorganan will also agree to any and all punishments." With that done, I say to Gorganan: "Before you even think about destroying the trees surrounding us, I challenge you to a duel and I wont accept no for an answer, we are battling and I plan on besting you with my cards!" "Fool! I accept! If I win, I end you and take your powers and possessions! If you win, I will give all of you an hour long grace period to prepare to fight me!" "Okay, we will duel under those terms! Each of us will start with 8000 lifepoints and yada yada! I go first to give you a handicap!" "What do I need one for, it is you who should need one!" "Youre gonna need it, I promise you! Duel disks are set, playing field is all clear! I summon Toy Knight and when this card is summoned, I can summon another monster that is level 4 or below to my field! I special summon level 4 Harpie Oracle! Now watch as I overlay my 2 monsters to create the overlay network for the first time in so long while in Fun Land! From my extra deck appears Kachi Kochi Dragon! Were you expecting me to summon one of my number cards?!"
"This cannot be! Youve never dueled with Xyz monsters that werent custom made with only single copies made!" "You impressively know that but I wont need my numbers to bring you a dang good fight that will leave hair raising! I place one card facedown and end my turn!" I think to myself: "With these 2 cards in my hand and my face down, it will be hard for Gorganan to beat me or at least I hope thats the case." Gorganan takes his turn: "You will regret facing me alone! When I have no monsters, I can summon Dreaded Dark Curse in defense mode with all its power zeroed out! Now that I have a dark monster on my field by paying 1000 lifepoints, I can fusion summon one monster using any and all required fusion materials from my hand, deck, field, extra deck, and/or graveyard using the spell card Evil Polymerization! Say goodbye to 3 cards in my hand, 4 in my deck, and 1 on my field! I fusion summon Octuple Light Banisher, Ombre in attack mode! Ombre gains 2000 attack points for every monster used to summon it! It has 16000 attack points now which are treated as its original attack points! That means I win and will destroy you! With this tournament illegal deck, I will end this quickly! Go Ombre, attack Kachi Kochi Dragon with Octuple Devastation Disk!"
Upon my dragon`s destruction: "I reveal my trap card, Xyz Link! Its a trap with a secret inside! First, all battle damage becomes zero and the battle phase ends! Next, my monster is revived with all abilities gone! If the monster revived is an Xyz monster, I can pay 500 life points to activate the secret which I do! Xyz Link becomes Rank Up Magic Nightmare Regenerate Force, a card that I can only use through Xyz Link! This card ranks up my revived monster into a dark chaos Xyz monster that is one rank higher! This cannot be stopped by anything you may try! When a monster is summoned through this card, it gets this card as an additional overlay unit! Kachi Kochi Dragon, a rank 4 Earth Xyz dragon monster with the power to attack twice after destroying a monster successfully at the cost of one overlay unit is transformed! The overlay network is upgraded and opened back up in order to allow for my monster to rank up! Chaos Xyz evolution! Come forth Kachi Kochi Terror Dragon, bring the justified torment against this foe that stands in our way to save reality! 2500 attack points alongside 1900 defense points is pretty sweet!" "Why you little mortal! I will use all of my power to beat you! Go Great Dark Morph! I set one card facedown and end my turn!"
"Here I go, Im about to put a damper in your plans! I drew my card and that allows me to play my triple threat, 3 copies of Power of The Guardians which I equip to my Kachi Kochi Terror Dragon! When my dragon is in battle, my 3 copy equip cards will give my dragon 500 attack points by giving one counter to each copy! If Kachi Kochi Terror Dragon is in for destruction, I can save him now by removing one of those counters! Kachi Kochi Dragon is a card designed to allow for 2nd chances to deal damage, that is the card`s spirit much like how Number 39: Utopia`s is to save himself and his owner from suffering! Kachi Kochi Terror Dragon carries on that spirit in a way that mirrors that intent to deal damage a 2nd time! By using one overlay unit, my dragon in battle will gain the power to not be destroyed in battle with no battle damage dealt to me upon failing to destroy a monster this turn as long as an Xyz monster remains as an overlay unit! My dragon will get to attack 4 additional times!" "What?! Impossible! But you still wont win even with that boost that will only get your dragon up to 10000 attack points by the end of your battle phase! That means I will devastate you next turn!" "Hmm, I wonder if youre missing something! But Im not telling you! Go Kachi Kochi Terror Dragon! Stick it to Gorganan with Twisted Dark Blast, target Ombre 5 times in a row! *Calculations completed* My monster is unharmed and now is stronger! I end my turn!"
"You think you can outsmart me?! On the turn after your next turn, I will beat you! Your equip cards will not save you! Let me show you why because actually, Im winning on this turn! I remove 2 fusion materials from play so Ombre negates all face up spell and trap cards on your field as long as it is out to bring you doom! I remove another 3 to banish all cards from your graveyard and the same amount banished you have to banish from the top of your deck too! Say goodbye to 6 total cards and your chances of somehow reusing that trap that counts as 2 different cards with different effects! Like I needed to do this when Im winning now, your strategy relies too much on your monster so you have no other defenses now! How does it feel to lose? I just wanted to make you miserable! I banish the last 3 fusion materials to banish all your Power of The Guardians equip cards once theyre sent to the grave should you manage to live! Ombre, finish that dragon and end Adam permanently!" "I use another power of Kachi Kochi Terror Dragon`s, by using one overlay unit, I can switch him to defense mode with any damage I would end up taking still for some reason instead being negated with your life points halved! How does it feel to be played so hard, I wont reveal to you the power of my ace deck, I refuse to!" "I activate Effect Chains which cancels the activation of your dragon`s effect!" "I have one more trick! By tributing Kachi Kochi Terror Dragon, I can special summon Gate Blocker 2, since this effect is one that can activate when Kachi Kochi Dragon is unable to use an overlay unit during a battle where my life points would be reduced to 0, it isnt affected by your precious trap card! But wait, theres more! By banishing Kachi Kochi Dragon, Kachi Kochi Terror Dragon gives me a 2nd chance to live by making the defense points of Gate Blocker 2 become the same as the attack points of Ombre for the rest of the turn!"
This tactic prevents battle damage, fueling Gorganan with anger: "This is one of my ace monsters and you are beating it without using your full power? What a disgrace! I should have used different effects that Ombre possesses! I will get you for this!" "Oh another thing, when Xyz Link is banished, I draw one card!" "Go do your turn already so I can demolish you! Gate Blocker 2 wont be able to save you now as my monster`s attack points didnt decrease at all even though all its fusion materials have been banished!" "Im not worried one bit when I know this deck wont let me down! The last piece to end this duel now must be what I draw next! So here I go! I activate what I drew, a risky card that reduces my lifepoints to 1 so I can activate my traps the turn I set them for the rest of this duel! The cost to activate must be paid even if my card`s effect is stopped! Since the damage in this duel is intense, Im in for it now! I play Automatic Trap Trigger! This means I can activate Ring of Destruction from my hand! It equips onto one monster and destroys said monster, dealing us damage equal to that monster`s attack points! I choose Ombre! And since you didnt place anything down, this duel is over, someone looks like they were too cocky for their own good! Let this serve as a lesson, even the weak can stop the immensely powerful under the right conditions!" We both are knocked back as the card causes us to draw. I remark: "This duel really goes to show what would have happened if I used my most powerful cards! The duel would have raged on for much longer with a winner of such being totally contested! Since neither of us lost, I guess the real battle starts right now and Im looking forward to battling you! I drained a bit of my energy but Im still howling to go!"
"You are seriously so extremely annoying, I should have destroyed Dr. Duns when his timeline was in place of this one but I thought he didnt have the power to oppose me at all even after I heard that he managed to overthrow the SDL in a battle where he and his comrades almost eliminated me by extension! But enough talk, I do not have an army to back me up and I would be a fool to let myself be played again so Im going to separate your team into little groups where only one group at a time can fight me and no one will be able to stop me! You can choose who fights with who but I will force your team to split into groups of 4 so pick well or else you will all lose today!" I grumble before calming down: soon selecting Raventail, Sonic, and Blaze to team up with. The 4 of us face Gorganan on the dock that allows for boating to Tortimer Island and beyond. Gorganan laughs: "What a fitting place to start fighting all of you, I will make sure it is not the waves or sharks that end you, it will be me, I will kill all of you, keeping you alive would risk my plans and I cant let that happen! No matter what you do, you will fall to me today and soon!" We all swing into immediate action, I say to Raventail real quick: "We may basically be taking a way longer relationship break or something like that but we still got each other`s backs! Gotta remember our strategy for fighting this jerk!" Instead of going for my powerful sword attacks, I use my fists and voice instead proclaiming: "I will not need my sword abilities to fight when these may as well be my best ways of fighting you! Eat this 180 reverse and feel your emotions get the better of you!"
I slap him silly while talking about mathematics and science: "To find the area of a circle, you must multiply Pi with its radius squared using 3.14 for pie as a way of simplifying! When a diameter doubles in length, the surface area quadruples! It was Charles Darwin who gave rise to the theory of evolution, his pea plant experiments allowed for that and what he did back then can be done on a table with numbers! The universe and beyond can be understood through numbers not just atomic science! A half life of an element is how long it takes for half of it to decay!" "Stop slapping me and shut it with your fake intellectual knowledge! I once believed it until the evil showed me a new way of thinking in a group of people that are dooming the world on which you live hoping that the greed and malice there will be uprooted someday! Dark Panic Shot!" He uses an evil move to push me away before attacking us all at once constantly, obviously wanting us to be beaten right here and now but what he doesnt know is we are going to fake being defeated so we can later strike again with the whole team and if that leads to us losing, Dominic will have whatever it is he made to make Gorganan retreat or whatever. That doesnt mean we arent going to waste our enemy`s time a whole bunch, we are going to hold out while doing increasingly weak attacks to really make our rouse work, the more energy we make him drain, the easier it will be to give him a hard time later today. Not to mention, we have so many ways of messing up him! "Will you 4 stand still or at least stop annoying me? I will brutally end all of you because Im done playing around! I only used a portion of my full power so now I will use my full power to get rid of all of you and there will be no mercy, only pain and torment! Darkness Supreme Spirit Destroyer! This will rip your bodies apart with magic and you will not escape its range since we are on a dock!"
Thats when Kapp`n who`s always in his ship throws a rock at the villain: "I dont know why you want to destroy them but Adam is my friend, I wont let you win yarr!" "I promise to wreck your boat with your corpse inside of it! But first, these 4 are going to go ahead and die today!" His attack is unleashed but Blaze drags me and Sonic drags Raventail to the boat and now Kapp`n is asking: "Yarr what are you doing by getting on my boat?" I answer: "Its as simple as pissing Gorganan off! The range of that attack is not enough to impact you so naturally Sonic and Blaze got us all down here! Now step on it, we need to get to Tortimer Island as soon as possible, this will further delay the villain and once there, we will have more at our disposal to stick it to that jerk! Theres no way hes going to let us go free!" Gorganan can be heard yelling as Kapp`n speeds the boat up by a lot: "Get back here you cowards! Im coming for you no matter what so you might as well turn around and face me right here and now!" I yell back: "Sorry but we`re off to somewhere tropical and nice unlike you! Bye bye! Try and catch us! As I activate the equip spell Paint Boosters! I equip it onto Kapp`n`s boat! The card`s power is simple, it raises the attack and defense points of anything its equipped to by 500 points! Now watch as the boat is powered to move even faster by the equip spell! It uses the potential energy inside of bottles of paint to propel forward!" "I will get you!" "Every villain says that!" In just 5 minutes, we arrive to Tortimer Island and so we let the inhabitants know what is coming to the island but also meet up with the group who decided to head to the island: Brayden, Dominic, Captain Blaster, and Madeline, a fearsome but peculiar four so to speak! Captain Blaster greets us: "Yarr yer landlubbers, yer be sending Gorganan this way! Therefore, we best be teaming up! Arr! Plunder that other landlubber! Set sails to fight Gorganan in der water!"
We end up going on his ship and well, a battle is about to rage on and thanks to whats onboard to ship, we wont have to use much of our powers to school Gorganan! "This worked out way better than I hoped! This very ship has so much in technology, attack, and defense! Not to mention that treasure tracker! Captain Blaster, we might be about to give Gorganan a lot of trouble using this ship as a conduit to own him with small amounts of our power! But make sure that it seems like we weaken over time and then fake being defeated so we can strike later when he thinks he has beaten our whole team! Isnt that the plan Brayden?" Brayden smiles: "Of course it is Adam, Gorganan wont entirely know whats coming for him! You managed to beat him by drawing with only 7 or so cards in that duel of yours, it was impressive how you took him and yourself out to ensure you wouldnt be too hurt in the duel. Lets hope this plan works or else this ship might go down, I sense our foe is using his full power, you must have really made him angry." Blaze adds: "And we`re about to annoy him even more!" A big shadow appears over the surface of the ocean before revealing who we`ve been expecting as we set course for a direction that isnt the town of Fun Land. Gorganan is furious: "You dumped me and got onto that infamous ship with another group! I will sink your chances of living along with this ship! Comet Climax! You may hold the powers of light and time but I have the powers of darkness and cosmic forces! And what better to sink a pirate ship with then a bunch of comets that have dark energy flowing through them endlessly! Adam, you said you were fighting me the best you could but you lied! I know this ship is powerful so I must make sure I make no errors in taking it down along with each of you by extension!" The Comet Climax comets come for the ship but Brayden exclaims: "I will not let that happen! I will offset the course of those comets!"
She acts like shes using a lot of her power as she makes them all miss and instead, they crash into the ocean itself far away from our location. Gorganan laughs: "So thats nearly the full extent of your power? Wow, its going to be easy to beat all of you once I get past the defenses of the pirate ship! As part of my power, I have gained the tidal effect of moons! And now you get Dark Sea Whirlpool! It will wear away at your defenses and leave you open to more attacks by me!" "Yar be not afraid that it wont be so easy! Surrender at the poop deck you scurvy scrub or are yer afraid that we wont give yer misery! Another thing, me not be pirate man by nature, me be trans pirate man who transitioned long ago! And yer better believe me be not going to be taken down by trans haters who deserve to swim with the piranhas! Arr! Go Sea Shield! Using the currents of the ocean, me create a wave barrier to block your dumb move!" "NO! My attack! Foiled by a woman who pretends to be a man and doesnt belong in men`s sports! I could care less about sports but I love trash talking men and women who pretend to be the gender they are not! You cant change your gender because its always the same as your biological sex! And I didnt forget you fake woman Brayden, you just want to use the men`s bathroom to get closer to boys!" "Arr yer be delusional! Me a pirate, me want treasure not valueless things like worship due to winning sports games, me not be affected by that insult entirely! So what does it matter, me say that you care a heck lot about me gender identity for someone who wants to destroy everything! Me a man and that is the end of it, me always was mocked for being a tough little girl, the men thought me be a weak girl trying to be strong but no me be a boy in the wrong body as a child! Yer dont understand anything about trans people, you scurvy scum! Me didnt choose to want to be a man, it was destiny that chose how me felt about me gender identity not some trans agenda!"
Brayden also has choice words: "You believe that Im not valid for becoming a woman? No matter how good you originally were, you are acting unintelligent when it comes to trans people. Let me remind you that Adam is non binary which means they are trans too as trans means to not identify with the gender you were assigned at birth, its really not that hard! Eww why would I want to do inappropriate things with boys who are minors, I have no interest in any minors in that way!" I add: "Why dont we just start getting rid of gendered bathrooms, that will shut you up Gorganan not to mention the swarms of other dumb transphobic beings! Unite the genders in sports as well, if you arent inclusive to all gender identities, you have no business speaking about them like you are the boss of all beings who have any sort of consciousness! Youre seriously so foolish you make me incredibly sick! Now back to battle so zip it or we`re going to use a secret weapon that will drain you for a time on you today instead of saving it for next time!" "I dont agree but talking with anti-gender critical individuals about the fakeness called trans gender is far too exhausting for me, I have had to hear it time and time again! You asked for your destruction so here it comes! Shadow Surge! Instead of sinking your ship, Im going to let darkness consume it along with all of you! Now how is that for a response against mortals who disagree with righteous gender critical views?!" Blaze and Sonic run so fast they are able to create air currents that make them hover in the air before using their intense speeds to break up the incoming attack, pretending to break a sweat of course to continue to trick Gorganan, it is almost time for us to make it look like we have exceeded our limits and will be now simple to defeat. I scream so loud after giving the others earplugs that I hurt Gorganan`s ears and use my history of wearing out my voice through that to make it look like I have destroyed my voice. "Aaaaa! My ears are ringing! That awful disgusting sound, you f******g homosexual, you will fall at my feet! I forgot what Death Metal screams can do! I used to love that garbage before I turned to the power of darkness to keep me company for eternity! Now all I listen to is music so monotonous and predictable that I actually like it!"
Dominic says with a goofy look: "Why dont you come down here and fight us on the ship or are you afraid that even though we are beginning to become exhausted that we will still beat you anyway?" "Im no coward unlike your friends! I accept your sad little challenge, I should destroy you directly anyway, that ship is going to waste so much of my time if I dont, Im running on a tight schedule! Both of you groups should have been defeated many minutes ago! With the way all of you are battling, there is no way that you can beat me today or ever for that matter! I will put all of you out of your misery once youre all too exhausted to stop me! But for now, I will wear you down faster than you have been wearing down yourself and youre going to hate it! Pain is my pleasure, despair is my drug, revenge is my sugar, destruction is my extreme appetite! No matter how many worlds you have saved, Im going to undo everything you have ever done!" I cant help but respond: "Okay tough guy, whats see what you can do while poised to probably fail to win even more times than so far!" "Before I get on your pitiful ship, I want to reveal some things for the sake of enjoying you react negatively! I love when others feel negative, it makes me getting frustrated when I get negative with my emotions all worthwhile! What if I told you that the SDL had no part in that one great wizard becoming a predator with the appetite for no adults for a time and suddenly changing quickly as if he never was turned that way?" "You didnt! You did it, didnt you?!" "Of course I did, I had to change the past somehow to test my power! Besides it was fun to watch you suffer, it was so easy to manipulate that old fool! All I had to do with change one event in his life but what I didnt realize is how easy he would shake the whole being attracted to minors off, the dark power over him fading must have had something to do with that! But wait, there is more! Its comical to hear your weak voice but whats even better is something that happened after you fell into Ponyville in the world of Equestria! Remember that time you got a cutie mark and had this random prophecy? That was me too! It was a way of trying to make you go hungry for power and turn on your friends and allies! I have tried several times to mess you up before I went big! None of my actions shifted the timeline very much until November of last power! Since I know all about your adventures leading up to the SDL`s son`s self sacrifice, I knew exactly where to try to throw you off your game!"
"Youre really sad! And I dont understand how attraction you molded you know which wizard to have in his being just went away?" "A dark entity inside of him had that attraction and now that entity is long gone but its power is mine! Now enough chitchat, I came here for destruction and death!" While I am able to stay calm most of the time I find out something bad, my emotions are getting to me so I use how upset I am to allow myself to be "defeated" by intensifying my emotions on purpose. "WHY DID YOU?! YOU TAMPERING SNAKE!" "Oh how nice, a compliment! Since youre too emotional to do anything, this is goodbye!" What he didnt realize is my armor is hidden underneath my pink dress so when the attack hits, I dont take much damage thanks to that and a secret shield. I pretend to fall unconscious but actually stay awake and not move to rouse suspicion, this plan has to work perfectly or else we might truly be done for. Blaze and Sonic fake collapse from physical exhaustion leading to Gorganan giggling: "Aww how cute, the speedy mortals have fallen by the power of their own extreme speed, how very fitting and ironic! Now to eliminate you Dominic! As the one who caused Krush to go dark, heres a move I stole from his time as a potential ally of mine! Dark Shock!" Dominic pretends to be defeated by one of his own inventions knocking him out when Gorganan attacks him with the evil infused static electricity: "No my invention! Its taking me out in reaction to your attack!" "How entertaining, 4 more left to beat! All of you are so pathetic, I dont even want to destroy you personally anymore, I just want to make sure none of you can oppose me during the rest of my battle that Im going to win! After all, I will take on the past, present, AND future, nothing will stop me as I become the ruler of all space, time, light, and darkness! I dont need your super powers to beat your comrades, keep them as a reminder of when I crushed each and every one of you whom I successfully attacked or when your bodies gave out trying to beat me! Captain Blaster, its your time!"
Captain Blaster makes it look like he has fallen asleep on the poop deck: "I dont care if youre blatantly ignoring me by sleeping on the poop deck but now, I am defeating you with Dark Shock as well! Never rise and never shine nonsunshine! Mwahahahaha!" After he has done all that, Raventail fakes falling asleep as well leading to the same punishment. "That was so easy this human Adam is definitely close to made it so easy for me. Oh well, I guess they all want to fall asleep or something now. I see you Madeline, I know not what your powers are at the age Im at but I do know that you are going to be beat right here and now! In my travels throughout time and space, I have gained many powers and abilities! In the alternate timeline where Barian World took down Astral World without Yuma in the way, Number 96 still existed and I took his powers alongside other powers when that timeline was sent to the void! I will use Number 96`s world attacking power to wipe you out but lessen the intensity so you arent totally destroyed, this one attack will be enough for me to win!" I hear him unleash his attack and Madeline falls with a loud thud: "You have beaten all of us, I didnt even stand a chance yet I didnt even attack!" "Shame shame shame, all of you are sad and disappointing now! I wanted a real challenge but none of you offered one! I wanted a fierce battle where I would crush all of you quickly! I suppose the villains who had taken over alternate timelines really were even more miserably bad. Oh well, their powers are delicious and I can actually wield them well! Soon I will control all darkness and no one will be able to stop me! For now, I will leave all of you in misery, I pity all of you because that fight was so lame that I cant stand it at all! Im leaving now, this was a waste of time! I should have created my army and invaded this world with it then I wouldnt have had to deal with such a dull fight that is driving me crazy! Adios losers, you didnt stand a chance, I bet I wouldnt know anymore about your poor performance even if I could have seen through whatever it is that left me unable to watch any of your team do anything remotely, I barely know how you fought to fight off my technical servants when there is little to no battle data! It doesnt help Ive lost some of my memories due to my time changing being reversed so many times!" With a poof, he vanishes.
Dominic gets up: "That was fun, I actually do wanna chill and nap but whats more important is that my body force fields designed just for today worked like a charm! We all were great actors and now Gorganan is going to regret not being very skeptical! Now Captain Blaster, lets head back to Tortimer Island to explain what happened and say farewell for the time being! It was such a great idea to tell the citizens of Fun Land and their mayor about whats going on in advanced yesterday so they would know to all go hide in places where Gorganan wouldnt bother looking! After we are done in Tortimer Island, we head back to Fun Land!" Brayden nods: "That is correct Dominic, lets hope our exploits shall lead to our victory without having to use our full power! We shall not defeat Gorganan completely today but just enough to force his retreat to take place. There is no need to heal, we want him to think we have managed to gain the strength to get back up and fight again, any pain we feel we will endure in the name of stopping Gorganan from winning today." So with that, we do what we have to do and eventually head back to Fun Land or more specifically, hiding in my house, ready to come out and spook Gorganan. Secret video devices allow us to see whats happening with the others, we come out when everyone has supposedly been defeated, that villain has no clue what is going on around him secretly, we have set up the perfect trap to stop him.
*Meanwhile in ancient Miitopia roughly around the era of the 3rd Great Sage* The 3rd Great Sage, a sage who is the true successor of the 1st one thanks to defeating the corrupt 2nd one speaks to her magical animal friends in a cave: "My friends, you have come to my aid! I can sense time and space being altered in favor of a powerful evil. During the era of the next legendary Great Sage which is many years into the future, a fight between good and evil goes on but the evil has altered time and space to their advantage. We must lend these heroes our power and help stop this Gorganan person once and for all upon the moment of great urgency during an undecided final battle which will commence a month after the first battle with Gorganan is fought. I can feel the energy of the battle as the far future is affected by it. I Great Sage Rena will do anything to save the future because if it isnt saved, our world as we know it and beyond will be lost. These heroes have saved the day so many times, its time they are repaid for their brave actions!"
The animals communicate to Rena about various things, she gulps: "The past is being altered too? This is worse than we could have ever imagined.. I have faith that those heroes will win the first battle and hold the evil at bay, giving time and space some short term breathing room for the time being afterwards. There is no point in going to that year of 2021 just yet but I can send them a blast from our time. My friends, give me your power for I am the Great Sage Of Life! Each Great Sage has some special power inside, mine is the power to use the life of our world`s power to fight evil! That future Great Sage Brayden`s special power is the power to surpass the 1st Great Sage! The 2nd`s was the power to corrupt. My successor will have the special power of treasures! One thing I share with some other Great Sage miis is Future Sight as I am one of those chosen to wield it in order to protect the future! Now my special power, do your thing and attack Gorganan the moment he appears to have defeated all who stood in his way today as I just witnessed!"
*Back to the present* Brayden commands the whole team to meet all around Gorganan now that he has supposedly won. Through the Quantum Leap Mark 3 bands, I and the others with me are teleported right to where we need to be at this very moment. We watch as a mysterious power with a eco green hue blasts Gorganan, having emerged from some sort of portal: "Arg! Ow! Fighting all of you was duller than I ever thought, I cant believe all of you are back up and fighting at the worst time ever! I thought I won then you all show up and I get blasted from what felt like the power of plants, animals, and Great Sage!" Brayden states: "It looks like the 3rd Great Sage Rena has attacked from the past with her still revered power to harness life energy in combination with Great Sage powers! She wasnt tutored by the 2nd Great Sage as the 1st called on her to stop the 2nd Great Sage and taught her instead. It looks like all this stuff you are doing has been noticed by the past, Gorganan!" "THERES BEEN MORE THAN ONE GREAT SAGE?! I thought you were the only one! Oh well, I will make you the last Great Sage ever! I dont know how all of you are standing strong but you leave me choice, I will eliminate all of you at once! I absorb the cold and calculating powers of villainous machines to allow my focus to split into many pieces with this harddrive I found from the time I come from! Go Ability Drain!" Dominic is shocked: "You can absorb mechanical hardware to update your consciousness?"
"Of course I can after all, I can only stay human for so long: same with a truly dark form but I am forced into the robot body I wanted to integrate myself with! I am a machine mwahahaha! As I grew stronger, I gained the power to morph and now I will use everything I have to win even though I have been exhausted a bit and slightly hurt! That blast hurt a lot when it hit me but now that pain is waning! My true form hasnt been revealed and once I return to my robot body, I will end all of you!" His floating evil self covered in a dark mist suddenly transforms into a mean looking evil robot with nothing but conquest on his mind. "Stage 1 is here! If you somehow manage to beat this form with your poor fighting skills, I will retreat because thats a goal that would severely hurt me! I would be too weak for Stage 2 transformation, my power isnt yet at the level I want it!" I fire a simple fire spell to start the battle and melt part of his robotic body, he responds by knocking all of us down, a move that really doesnt do much. Its Austin`s turn to bug Gorganan: "Hey jerk face! Bet you didnt know that through our defeat, we managed to rise up again stronger! A miracle pulled through for us and thats bad news for you!" "Like I care, I just want to win and destroy all of you, no more pity mercy, I am going to kill all of you and win through that!" Gorganan begins to start an attack rampage and grins: "I can also talk to all of you at once now without losing focus or sounding like Im talking to myself many times over! All of you are now finished for sure!"
I am not going to enjoy what is about to happen as I am told by the crazy villain: "Ah yes my long dream to destroy you Adam will now come true, it took me so much to find the software Ive been searching for and Im not just about to let it all go to waste! Chainsaw Crush!" A evil big chainsaw appears and I panic: "That thing is just about to grind me up, I must do something to stop this! I see it is a physical object: you might have just wrecked your own plan to take me out, I do not know how any software can allow someone to attack many people at once but I do know that that leaves you open to big blows, you should have just cloned yourself many times over, I guess your brain doesnt always function well enough for your plans! I`ll start fighting you a little more seriously, you proved that you are going to be hard on us no matter our skill level!" That is when I pull out my guitar and start playing some Grindcore riffs on it and screaming as fast and chaotically as I possibly can: "Im gonna bust your hearing circuits! Flesh and machine have advantages over each other and Im gonna use my advantages over you! Try to destroy me, watch us beat you down first! We`re not going down as easily, we`re gonna show ya that we have been playing you from the start of this visit! The treaty is legit but my true dueling skills havent been shown! Down with your tyranny, youre gonna be stopped today or another day! And we say screw authority! All power to the people, we cant trust anyone who doesnt follow the interests of the workers to lead us! Unification to prevent your destruction of us! State what you want, we`re here to bring you down in the name of everything that is supposed to happen and exist! You have messed with time and will pay if you dont change your ways! A pest is what you are, an evil villain with no heart or care! The rise is happening, soon the multiverse will be free from your influence!"
I play and scream as hard as possible to really mess with his mechanical mind and break some of him through all this. "Arg! That awful music is done now! Im so relieved my focus can be both divided and not divided at the same time! And as long as there arent a pack of dogs around here, that will remain!" "Are you saying you hate groups of dogs?" "I cant stand individual or paired dogs enough, your friend Blaze is a wolf and is enough of a furry nuisance! But its way worse when there are groups of dogs around!" "You just revealed one of your weaknesses, is thinking things through not part of your strategy today?" "I cant stand you either and ugh I did! I must utterly destroy you now that you know my weakness! Black Hole Summon! It will suck you in with my power and tangle you up all the way until you are dead! Im not here to waste more time!" I activate the gravitational field inside of my Quantum Leap band as an attempt to stop this and well, the gravitational field cancels out that evil black hole that was just showing up to swallow me whole. "Youre going to have to try better than that to defeat me! I feel sad for you in an ironic twist of fate! Care for a dueling rematch? But this time, the damage will be very real, very real indeed!" "No! I cannot duel you again today, you caused us to draw far too easily for my patience to return after it all was over." "For a guy who said you have no patience, you sure are fighting a lot of individuals! Speaking of individuals, I wonder how easy it would be for citizens of this town to bash you! Im calling the ones I know and love! Kyle! Tiffany! Hugh! Midge! Pinkie! Biff! Curly! Katt! Hans! Deirdre! And the giraffe! Sorry friend, I forgot your name!" The 11 of them come all to me and I say: "This nut nut is literally fighting and talking to all of us at once somehow without losing focus or looking like he`s dividing his efforts at all! Its impressive and frightening.. All I have to say more to all of you is its been too long since Ive been here and go on and hit this jerk with everything you got! Gorganan has little clue of how any of you fight despite being a much much older version of Fluffy Afro who went dark!"
With them, I use more basic attacks to hit this bucket of bolts with all that my physical strength can do when Im not using much energy or effort! Our foe is not very impressed: "All of you suck! Im not getting hurt at all! Im done with all of you, you all can cry into the ground for all I care after this next move of mine! Dark Hurricane Category 50!" I state as we are swept into the hurricane: "Since when was there Category 50 hurricanes? Either way, this wont end well for any of us.." "Good, now I can use a little less energy having my time wasted by all of you attention stealing bratty mortals whom I despise and loathe with all of my rotten robot heart!" This is where all the screaming comes in just before we all hit the ground hard.. Curly yells: "My muscles ache!" Biff adds: "So do mine!" Hugh looks upset: "I just want to eat food right now but I cant move a muscle.." Isabelle doesnt even try to pretend everything is fine: "Well former Mayor Adam and friends, this is not very good.. We tried our best for you Adam and we failed, Im surprised you failed too." I laugh: "This situation is bad but we will recover from this! So much has happened Im only mostly sure that you all have ventured out as part of the team but with Gorganan around, y`all are staying put on this world till it all is resolved! And also, I intentionally wanted to fail and appear to be defeated, its part of the master plan! If we dont make him retreat on account of annoyance or exhaustion, Dominic has some surprise planned to make him shake hard in a 'in pain' way his robo butt! Now we must play the part of go hiding but make sure to not miss out on looking on at the action! Where should we go Isabelle?" She responds with: "Thats one plan I never saw coming! Everyone, to the campground!" I get to lead the way and we get in an area where we can watch the pure chaos go on as what looks like a huge complicated mess of a battle continues on without us.
Fluffy Afro is closest to us thus we get to hear his dialogue with Gorganan just as he lets his comedic quirk of random hair on fire signature melt metal face: "Oooo look at me! Hehe! Im on fire! Oh wait no not again! Aaaa fire on my hair! Fire on my hair! Fire on my hair! HELP!" "Oh will you shut up, youre annoying me as you melt some of my metal! Fine, Heavy Dark Storm will stop this melting and harm you!" A bunch of lightning strikes Fluffy after he gets shocked, that is the shock of a lifetime. However, since he and most of everyone else with us got one of Dominic`s clever body forcefields, he is still able to keep fighting to the sheer anger of villainous jerk metal face: "You suck at attacking but your defending just like with many others is so good that this fight still feels like a huge waste of my precious time I could be using to destroy timelines by replacing them with timelines that are much more full of others like me! Adam is down but you are proving to be even more annoying! Wait do I hear running?!" I look to where the running appears to be coming from and well, Gorganan does too and completely freezes when it comes to fighting anyone. The sheer calamity in his voice is just so absolutely perfect: "HUNDREDS OF DOGS?! AAAAA! I WANT MY MOM! OH WAIT I HATE MY FAMILY! STAY AWAY FROM ME!"
A lot of those dogs look quite familiar but I cant place how or why they are familiar at this time as I am enjoying the moment way too much: "Oh silly Gorganan, I wonder if he would come to fear groups of dogs less if he knew the horror, pain, and stress of rolling an ankle or getting a big wart on the bottom of his foot! After all, physical agony is much pure suffering and I know that so well I wish I could stop accidentally hurting myself in my other body every so often.. I bet he`s so distracted that I can help attack him without him noticing! Y`all stay here, Im about to totally wreck this sucker with this glorious chance!" As I approach while running at top speed the still screaming Gorganan whose attacks have become sporadic, I spot the dog who is leading them all: "Is that Lucky from the Pound Puppies, what are they all are doing here especially today?" Lucky replies while still leading all of the dogs right in the direction of Gorganan: "You know about us and yet youre a human?" "Yes Lucky, its a complicated story that we`ll save for later! Right now, we have to take down this robotic maniac who has been ruining time and space!" "Oh him, we saw him after we entered this portal and ended up with all of the dogs we have ever helped in our lives. Some of the puppies wanted us to all come and cheer him up even though he is a robot." "He isnt just some robot, he is a villain who turned himself into a robot and has a fear and hatred of groups of dogs, y`all showing up here so randomly will be just what we need to take him down. This fellow is named Gorganan and he is far worse than McLeish will ever be! Destroying the delicate largely undisturbed natural flow of space and time is heinous! If you dont believe me, just look at his dark power!" "Okay you got me."
"Lucky, my name is Adam and I want you to stay right where you are running and keep the others from moving too, it will be more effective to defeat him this way." I then go to Brayden and explain to her whats going on which she approves of and Dominic says while using a simple form of Glitch on Gorganan: "Its possible that the nearly impossible event of a wormhole portal opening up in one very specific world leading straight to this town on a day like today has occurred. Not even I understand the natural flow of space and time entirely, it all is wild in a very complex and organized yet chaotic way! Dr. Duns being a machine has run out of power so he had to shut down a few minutes ago, Im sure he would be able to explain whats going on, I wish I could and know for sure.." Brayden comforts him: "Not even the wisest or most intelligent of beings can ever hold all of the answers to every possible question, we must just stop Gorganan today and ensure that Gorganan doesnt realize we`ve been toying with him more than he knows. Adam, you must resume fighting too!" Both of us nod and for the next 20 minutes, we stick with our great strategy only for Gorganan to furiously say: "My head is back in the game so take this, I call it Your Funeral, I will end each and every one of you who is bothering me! That lame fighting is barely helping you get close to winning! Those dogs have ruined my plans even more AAAAAA!" That Your Funeral attack manages to beat everyone, all the body forcefields are broken in the process..
Im even defeated with my armor not breaking leading to the villain laughing again: "I won! Thats right, I beat all of you and while I wanted all of you to die, just one more attack will finish you all permanently!" However, his attack was just out of range to hit the dogs and one glance at the dogs makes Gorganan extremely nervous as Dominic stands back up and dusts off his lab coat: "I need a nap. But guess what, you wont get the chance to win since Im still able to fight you! In fact, you played right into our hands but we wont tell you just how much you have! Sorry but I want to meet all these doggies before we all eat lunch! And after that, go home and go chill or whatever!" Dominic pushes a big green button on his lab goggles: "NO I hate big buttons pressed during moments Im intimidated! Because its never happened to me! Curse YOU laid back scientist! " Dominic just waves at him all chill like before pointing up to the sky: "Did you plan an orbital strike on me? UH OH! I WILL GET YOU AND GROW FROM THIS! What an embarrassing defeat! No more next time any of you see me!" As if waiting for a signal, Gorganan is blasted by an attack sent down from space itself, Dominic yawns as the attack gets through and leaves that monster sprawling on the ground all burnt up and wrecked: "That was singlehandedly the least complex defeat of a major villain Ive ever helped beat. Can we meet the dogs now?" The jerk or whatever you want to call him weakly says: "I will get revenge! Youre lucky you managed to outsmart me this time but believe me, next time is going to be different! I will crush you without having to go through the trouble of having a big bad final battle! You havent won yet, there is still a war to be settled! I can still get away so Im totally defeated just yet!"
And with another poof, he vanishes. Strudel of the Pound Puppies goes up to Dominic and is panting with excitement after what she just saw Dominic do. To which Dominic reacts with: "There is another way you can be excited right? Something only non homo sapien or non homo sapien like creatures are supposed to witness? *Yawns* I really want a nap now, Im really feeling the traits of my personality now!" Strudel is nervous and thats when Yuma comes along: "Hey doggie, its going to be okay! Yuma is here now! Just respond to Dominic!" Vector joins in: "Oh come on Yuma, just let me initiate the Ray way to help her!" Hilariously Kite states: "The Ray way is not ideal right now, we dont need to be ending up in random areas on the opposite side of this planet. Orbital! Orbital 7!" "Yes Master Kite?" "Run on a brain scan on that dog, Dominic knows something we dont and wont say anything about it as he looks very out of it." It is time I jump in: "That wont be necessary, Kite, Orbital, and Vector. See, dogs from the world all of these dogs are from can speak human so to speak. There is no reason to be quiet Strudel, none of us are big jerks unless you count Chazz Princeton or Seto Kaiba, those two kinda suck especially with Seto Kaiba considering all the progress I had for making him nice ended up being reversed some time ago." Strudel finally answers: "Yes I can talk but its a big secret none of you are supposed to know about! At least I can admire what your scientist friend pulled off even more openly!" Lucky joins the conversation: "Before we get too carried away, many introductions are in order." Astral having catched up to Yuma agrees: "Quite correct, it is the most reasonable way of approaching this situation unlike the Ray way which is fun but also dangerous."
Some time later. "Why was the banana happy? Because he was peeling good!" "Youre so funny Adam!" "The funniest part is Im even funny when Im not even trying to be, Lucky! I guess until we can send all of you dogs back to your planet, youre gonna be staying with us here in the city of Cornburry! Its so different from Fun Land and yet has key similarities! Its so cool to meet you, Ive been a fan for a long time! Now that everyone knows everyone again, we can just do whatever until preparations for the next adventure begin! Even better, Dominic has managed to stop all aging in the bodies of your dogs till we can get you all back! Should be able to tomorrow morning!" "Hmm maybe we could stay a bit longer than that? Its fun here, no place better for a dog than a place to have fun at and meet other creatures!" "Youll have to get lots of permission for that, we`ll worry about that when dinner comes!"
*Meanwhile at Gorganan`s castle* "Darn darn darn, they won again! I cant stand it! Phase 1 of destruction will finally begin as soon as my robotic body is repaired! I would have auto repaired it but I was so worn out! I need much more power than I have even now! Servants, get me my possible plans of destroying time and space! I think I know what I already will pick of them but its best to review them as I wait until my pain can be over!" *Back to the heroes* Rest of the day is again a bunch of hanging out except for all of the scientists and engineers on our team. I hope we can partner up with the Pound Puppies organization, we could use their skills even though they are meant to find dogs their perfect people.
Outro: Well, this chapter certainly took less time than expected and I squeezed in some interactions with characters from the 2010 version of Pound Puppies which Ive been practically marathoning as of late! Its fun to see a scary villain look like a silly willy every so often! And this chapter sets the stage for the final battle! The past, present, and future will collide in a battle to save space and time from Gorganan the complete and utter nut job!
