Chapter 18: Black Hole

"Gorganan invaded us, it is time we fight back!" Brayden says as she gets us all ready to go where we know need to go, Dominic adds: "According to data from trusted sources, this planet you see on the big monitor we have in this ship is the last known trace of Gorganan who has gone into hiding since we humiliated him almost 2 weeks ago. Therefore, this planet is our target, we must be cautious especially me because I didnt get enough sleep last night and I almost always wanna just be chilling. Myself and the other scientists have developed individualized space vehicles for all of us with the ability to warp through space in an instant. However, they cannot travel through time as the Quantum Leap system is far from what I dreamed it to be still. That is all." Captain Blaster speaks next: "Arr we be heading onto our vessels now! Get in yer ships arr! We be plundering Gorganan and whoever he sends after us! That is an order me gained permission to enact from Brayden!" With that, our next adventure begins! My ship consists of a color scheme of red, white, and pink not to mention having some references to stuff I like. Not even one minute later and we are all high above the planet that is where Gorganan was last seen and I spot a whole fleet of evil enemy ships: "Well it looks like the welcome wagon has arrived. Time to attack! *looks at controls* Whats this? A symbol for duel and symbols for my sword and hands too instead of attack buttons? And a small bey stadium? Just what kind of ship is this?" Dominic speaks to me through a communication system: "Adam, our ships use our abilities to attack but amplify those abilities." "Oh that makes sense!" "Good, you understand. I need to rest. Dominic out." I activate my duel disk: "Lets do this! Duel disk connected! All systems are go! I summon Regnes in his chaos form alongside my other ace monsters! All my monsters, attack the enemy ships as I do some attacking of my own! But first I activate the field spell Artist Space Prode! This field spell increases the attack and defense points of artist monsters!"

I look towards space and right in my view is an enemy ship. "Warrior Adam, I will destroy you in the name of my lord Gorganan!" "Dont be so sure. You never know how things are going to go! I accept the challenge and will give you everything I got! In that case, I must launch my bey Burn Wolf! Let it rip! Now I have the rotational force of a beyblade to attack with! Go Burn Wolf, never stop using your full power! The axis parts have finally been perfected recently and now Burn Wolf among other beys is practically unstoppable by forces up to the strength of a nuclear bomb or supervolcano!" "Actually, I want to duel you, Gorganan said you were holding back greatly when he dueled you and he sent me to force you to try harder!" "In that case, Burn Wolf stamina mode! Monsters, return to my extra deck! Resetting duel field! Shuffling deck! I will go first to give a little handicap! I set the Pendulum scale consisting of a range of 2-9 with Traditional Artist Tiny Dino and Digital Artist Bogura! That lets me summon to my field the tuner Artistic Egg, Painting Artist Paul, and Musical Artist Rythmn Ross! Now I send Tiny Dino to the graveyard to pay 1000 life points in order to change the level of all 3 of my monsters to level 12! Next I overlay my 3 Pendulum summoned monsters! Bring upon the dread onto those who dare threaten the safety of reality and leave them shaking in their boots! I Xyz summon Number 916: Horror Artist Lord Regnes(ATK: 2500, DEF: 0)!" "Regnes? I thought the story of Regnes the darkness destroyer was a myth!"

"It looks like Gorganan never picked up on Regnes being real! Now thats not all Im doing! Using his overlay units, Regnes evolves into a greater being of terror! Go chaos Xyz evolution! Aid us in our time of need through the power of horror and chaos merged into one powerful force! Send the chills down the spines of all that oppose us! Now rise from the realm of darkness, Chaos Number 916: True Nightmare Master Horror Artist Lord Regnes(ATK: 5000, DEF: 1000)! Its about to get worse for you! When Artistic Egg is attached to a chaos number as an overlay unit, I can send it to the graveyard to draw one card and thats exactly what I will do! The next move will determine the course of this duel! Through hard work and dedication, I can generate the very card I need! Go Shining Draw! Perfection! I activate Rank Up Magic Numbers Force! This ranks up a number monster or chaos number monster into a chaos number monster that is one rank higher! I can only use it when my life points are lower than my opponents! Thanks for letting me go first, I appreciate it! Now go Chaos Number 916, rank up and evolve into a number with even more chaos! Rank up Xyz evolution! Be the causation of the quickening of this duel and possibly creating the final blow! Show our enemies what you can do! Appear Chaos Number 916: Chaos Terror Nightmare Horror Artist Lord Regnes(ATK: 6000, DEF: 1600)! I end my turn!" "Youre not the only one who can bring out an ace monster on your first turn! Here I go and I will use my move to destroy you! I activate the Seal Of Orichalcos, now I gain a backrow of monsters and all my monsters gain 500 attack points! That alternate Dartz was delicious for my master! Now I summon Void Soldier who wont be around for long, I sacrifice my pathetic soldier which I special summoned since you have an Xyz monster and I dont! When its sacrificed, it counts as two monsters! This allows me to summon Voidulous, Guardian Of The Destroying Void(ATK: 4000, DEF: 3000) in defense mode! I cant attack you yet so I place 3 cards facedown and end my turn!"

"Its my turn, we shall see which of us scares the other to death with their cards! I activate Overlay Boost, this gives one overlay unit to every Xyz monster on the field! Regnes has 5 overlay units now and thats bad news for you! I use 2 to automatically destroy your monster and summon one Horror Token onto my field with attack and defense points equal to half your monster`s original stats so thats a 1750 in attack and 1500 in defense token served up screaming scary!" "Voidulous cannot be destroyed in battle or by card effects, your plan failed! Mwahahahaha!" "I use one overlay unit to automatically deal you 1500 points of damage! Regnes only has 2 overlay units left but thats perfect! I cannot do anything else so its your turn! The score is me 7000 and you 6500!" "I reveal Ectoplasma Cannon and Sorry Only I Can! Ectoplasmer lets me tribute a monster on my field and deal your damage equal to half its attack points! Sorry Only I Can stops you from using Ectoplasmer too and lets me use its effect any time any number of times when its my turn so long as I give up 2000 every turn!" "Well played, you are also giving it your all.." "Of course you compliment me like I care! Next I play Monster Reborn to bring back my useless servant Void Soldier! It has 2000 attack points and by tributing it, I deal you 1000! At this rate, you will lose pretty soon! Especially when I can summon Void General without tributing since I sent Void Soldier to the graveyard first! It has 3000 attack points so I tribute it to deal you another 1500 points of damage! Now when my general goes to the graveyard and another Void monster is there, I can revive that monster! Without you knowing, I have created an infinite loop there is no escape from! This duel is done, you will now be done and destroyed! I dont even need to trash talk that much when I have done this! Void Soldier, return to be useful! Voidulous lets me revive a monster when another is revived! Welcome back Void General! Now Ectoplasmer activate again twice!"

"Not so fast, I use Regnes`s 3rd ability, removing 1 overlay unit to destroy one face up spell or trap and I can use that effect up to 2 times in a single turn! I destroy Ectoplasmer to stop its effect and also destroy Void General! In exchange, I must give up the next 2 battle phases I would have had but thats a small price to pay!" "Oh no! My other card is destroyed since its target is no longer on the field! You will pay for this! I have another way to reduce your life points to even lower than 4500 this turn! Voidulous is switched to attack mode and when it attacks, the battle damage I would take you take instead! FEEL MY PAIN SO I DONT HAVE TO! Go Voidulous, bring that man who thinks he isnt entirely male another 2000!" "When Regnes runs out of overlay units, he gains the special abilities of the Regnes monsters in my graveyard and takes one monster from your graveyard to be a new overlay unit! Void General is now bound to Regnes, furthering the destruction of your one turn kill combo! I dont like being called a man, screw being that, I like they/them pronouns a lot more than that! This is what you get for being a jerk!" "You still suffer and I cant wait to see your life points drop to 0, I will torture you as you run out of oxygen in the middle of space! Just 2500 more and I win! In 4 turns, my win is assured!" "Yes you have come up with an excellent plan but you made a fatal mistake, a mistake that I will now use to shrink your life points drastically!" "Just.. GO!"

"Yeesh! I draw and now activate Pot Of Greed letting me draw 2 more times! Next I summon Digital Artist Ranger Rover and play my own Monster Reborn, welcome back Artistic Egg! Next I tune my 2 monsters in order to synchro summon Abstract Artist Terror Fairy! But now by reducing Terror Fairy`s attack and defense points to zero, I can switch Terror Fairy and make them invincible in case you were thinking of destroying Regnes to make my life points hit zero in a different way! I unfortunately cannot attack this turn so turn end." "This is my moment, I will get one step closer to victory! Voidulous, attack Regnes and deal Adam another 2000 points of damage! I set this card facedown and end my turn! Im so close! Mwahahahaha!" "We`ll see! I draw and set what I drew facedown. I just realized I can just switch Regnes to defense mode, you wont win next turn!" "Except I reveal Stop Defense, now Regnes has to stand up and fight! Thats what you get!" "I could lose next turn.. End." "About time, this is the turn where I win! Attack my monster! End this childish hero!" "I activate Draining Shield, I gain life points equal to your monster`s attack points after your monster`s attack in stopped! I will gladly take that 4000 life point boost now!" "Arg! Fine! I set this card face down. GO." "Drawing card, blah blah! Forgot to use one of the overlay units of Regnes to deal 1500 so I do that and follow up by attacking Void Soldier with my monster, you were so confident you forgot to switch Void Soldier into defense mode! Say hello to having 1000 life points left!" "I dont have a counter to this! Aaaaaa!"

"My turn ends with another facedown!" "Take another 2000! Attack!" "I play Negate Attack, your monster wont be attacking me this turn!" "Then I chain with Seven Tools Of The Bandit, stopping your trap card by paying.. 1000 lifepoints?! 1000 LIFEPOINTS aaaaaaa!" "Your want to win is so strong that your blunders brought you down. Good game, that was a great duel that had both of us nervous!" "I LOST!" Gorganan`s voice speaks: "General Argorus, you lost to Adam didnt you? I can see it in your eyes, I am very disappointed in you, you even caused yourself to lose by making rookie mistakes. I now know the full extent of Adam`s skills but know this, you will be punished for what you have brought upon yourself. There is no hope for forgiveness, you are done permanently." "Master please, I beg of you! Let me go, let me get a 2nd chance!" "General, your attempted invasion of Miitopia last week was so pitiful it collapsed in 30 minutes to a bunch of village dwellers in Greenhorne. I had you be personally trained by me to be better, youre even my right hand general but you have made too many rookie errors. You are fired and I am going to absorb your lifeforce and make it mine." "Noooooo!" I interject: "You cant do that!" "Who asked you annoying mortal?!" "No one but you should let him be captured by my team instead, thats punishing enough right?" "You won this battle of logic but next time, you wont! Fine, I will let you take Argorus into custody. Argorus, dont try to help me ever again and enjoy being locked up. I have to fight another uprising near my castle now." I get Argorus onto my ship and he has his ship self destruct since he got all of his stuff: "Adam, why did you save me? We are enemies!"

"Were enemies. You dont deserve death so I saved you from that fate. Gorganan is distracted so I can say this: switch sides and myself and others will provide you protection and if we survive this battle, proper training. How does that sound?" "But Im loyal to darkness, I cant just turn my back on what I have believed in for so long! Gorganan was all I had, he took me in: a war prisoner from a defeated rival dark army who called themselves the Children Of the Supreme Dark Lord. I worshipped the SDL and was the leader of the SDL rule over Miitopia`s Tower Of Dread. That army took me in after I lost everything, I cannot ally with you!" "Well being evil doesnt seem to be something that is very effective in your life. Let me put it this way, dont you like seeing peace and fun?" "No." "Come on, deep down there must be some good in you. Think back to a time before darkness got your allegiance." "... When I was young, I.. loved watching cartoons and then some guy showed up one day and got me interested in being evil. He said that if I went dark, I would be destined to be trusted by some of the most powerful beings ever to exist, he assured me it would be even better than watching cartoons. The prophecy came true, I have no clue who he was but he wore a black robe with blue/green in an area." "Interesting.. Im contacting Brayden. Brayden, you there?" "Yes Adam, whats going on with you?" "Well I defeated a general of Gorganan`s in a duel and saved him from punishment by quote on quote capturing him. His name is Argorus and some guy in a black rode with blue/ green somewhere talked him into becoming evil as a kid.."

"Argorus? Thats the general who failed to take over Miitopia a week back! And whats this about some guy in that kind of robe? He sounds familiar.. Now I remember, that guy is not just some guy, hes a Dark Sage, a ex Great Sage who was supposed to succeed my prodecessor but when it was exposed hes evil, he was banished from Miitopia and I was trained instead. His training was enough to allow him to become a Dark Sage. He vanished years ago for reasons unknown, no one has seen him in decades anywhere in our plane of existence." I talk to Argorus and Brayden some more, Argorus finally switches sides and I go ahead and help attack whats left of the evil spaceship fleet. After victory is ours, Dominic instructs everyone to land on the surface of that planet hes mentioned today at the coordinates of 30.853 North and 51.765 East. A few minutes pass and all of us are now outside in space suits of some form unless they can survive environments where there is little to no oxygen, I know I cant. Waiting for us is some dude with a black cloak with green/blue.. It must be that Dark Sage and hes standing at the entrance of the maze! "Welcome all to my challenge! If you want to get to Gorganan, you must first complete so many challenges across this planet that you all will have to separate. All challenges must be finished by you all so you can get all the keys needed to enter a gateway which leads to my master`s kingdom failure to win comes with a death penalty! One person must volunteer to enter my maze where I will test their decision making, sense of direction, and fighting skills! If the challenger losers, they can appeal the death penalty by offering to switch side! So who wants to have a go at me? I will pick my challenger! Who to choose? Who to choose.. Hmm.. I see Argorus and Brayden, 2 important individuals."

Brayden interrupts: "Face me you evil mage!" "No, I want to fight someone who doesnt know me, you canot prevent me from picking the challenger myself, I pick Adam, the person who Gorganan keeps going on and on about being a childish pest who needs to be stopped! Get ready Adam for we will battle in the maze as you try to find a way out!" "I guess I have no choice, see y`all later, please get going to the other challenges, you must, its the only way for us to gain access!" It is just me and the crazy villain shortly thereafter. "You remember the rules right? Well, let us review. This is a maze which you have to get to the center of but there are many booby traps alongside me waiting to put an end to your quest! If you dont want to do this, you can simply change your alleigance to ally with my master!" "I understand and do what to do this. Youd have to pry everything I got in order to convert me over, I dont plan on losing, I plan on defeating you for Brayden herself!" "Herself? Since when did he start pretending he`s a woman? Drat, I should have alerted my master about the threat coming from so called trans people." "He is now she and there is nothing you can do about it!" "Why did he keep his given name then?" "The misgendering of her needs to stop, youre facing me not her! Some trans people who transition opt to not change their name as well. The fact that Ive been facing so many transphobic enemies this year is insane!" "I dont want to hear it anymore, you are too woke for me to handle hearing you talk about your woke opinions! Im here to destroy you! Maze escape start! You get a 1 minute headstart and then I come after you from above!" I head into the maze furious about the transphobia but decide to keep it together for this maze is gonna test me in so many ways, I must be rational and cautious to survive this dangerous challenge. Ive had trouble getting through paper mazes in the past but at least those got easier as I got older and I had an above perspective on them. Here, I can easily lose my way through the maze, I dont have any paper or writing utensils so I cant make my own maze of the maze using the entrance as a starting reference point..

I turn left and continue straight until theres 3 ways to go, I choose to go straight only for the first trap to activate. The trap makes me fall into a hole which leads to a long looking cavern. Seems easy enough to get back on the surface except this place is a maze too and the villain is using the Tower Of Flame attack but evil: "Mwahahaha, you fell right into the worst trap of them all in terms of time consuming! How disappointing, now you have to escape this maze to get back up but I am going to be looking to destroy you the whole time! There is no way you will escape, not under my watch! Perish!" "You sure are hostile for someone who managed to convince Argorus to become evil." "I had to be nice to be taken more seriously." "Well, Im just gonna ignore your attacks until that becomes a bad idea. I want to get to the center of the true maze, I dont care if I defeat you or not especially when I can wear you down enough to have Brayden blast you." "Youre going to regret that, I promise you!" I head straight while dodging attacks and see a confusing amount of ways to go. Selecting Northeast, I make fun of the enemy before going that way. However, my playfulness leads me to be teleported to some random location in this trap maze by some trap I had no way of seeing coming. After shaking off the dizziness, I see a funny double turn and take it to find the stairs up to the real maze. "NO my trap should have strayed away further from there! If I ever get to do this challenge again, Im going to rig that trap!"

"You snooze you lose, I dont see you yet but whatever, Im heading up now." I hastily move up those stairs and end up right by that trap I literally fell into. Up ahead is a dead end so looking around, I spot a way to move out of the area. With that done, I dodge a dark version of that lightning spell mages use. Sick of not doing anything else about those attacks already, I counter with a big fireball: "Im not going to let anyone call me chicken even though many insults bounce off me like meh thats a lame insult! Now that my attention is divided, Im going to have a harder time escaping but Im making sure I dont end up back where that trap was! *Heads back there and summons Terror Fairy* Terror Fairy will make sure I know Ive been here before but will otherwise stay guard!" "No fair! Your life is in mortal peril and you act calm? I will give you something to worry about now! After all, if I keep you from reaching the center till 3 PM, I automatically win! You are feeling sleepy now as I cast a sleeping spell the Dark Lord of Miitopia used against your miis several times just as the Replica Dark Lord did! I know all about that adventure your miis embarked on, I was sad I couldnt help the Dark Lord but I knew I couldnt interfere in order to ensure the SDL would still rise to power." My eyes feel bleh, I want to close them as I do now feel tired but I must.. stay awake.. The villain laughs more and more as I increasingly wrestle with my urge to fall asleep and even more so when I ultimately fail. It feels like no time went by as I wake up seeing the nearby star overhead. "Rise and shine childish brat! Yes I know about those more obscure interests of yours! Im surprised you managed to wake up but I will make sure you never survive! After all, that spacesuit of yours is what is keeping you alive after all! Therefore, I must create holes in it so you die of a lack of oxygen!"

"My mind is all cleared up now and oh no.. Thats unfair! Dont you dare, I will make you taste regret!" "I dare! Harming Attack!" A spell flies my way and hits part of my spacesuit, creating a big hole, I am going to die very soon unless I think of something. "Since youre so eager to beat me, I guess I should beat you first instead of beating the maze first! You are making it impossible for me to navigate this thing right now! I activate the equip spell Artistic Spacesuit and equip it onto myself, it takes place of the one you punctured so I just bought myself some more time to take you down! Spirling Flame Slash!" Having pulled my sword out, I send out the attack which is countered by: "Dark Sage Destroyo Energy Blast!" My attack is nullified and the blast sends me back flying. "Ow! Your name is Destroyo? What kind of name is that?!" "No youre not panicking about the damage you took! I like frozen yogurt and destroying my enemies so I gave myself that nickname as silly as it is!" "..No comment.. Im just gonna pull a Darkeye Slash on you!" "So you also know some famous moves done by the most famous and infamous beings to ever exist in Miitopia? If youre going to be annoying difficult to beat, I will use my ultimate power to stop you! Watch as a lance appears in my hand! Guardian Creation!" My attack is stopped by his new lance which is so pointy that my attack stands no chance, thus no damage once again but he attacks further by piercing my spacesuit spell manifested into a real one.. In turn, my equip spell is sent to the graveyard and I once again face that hole problem. "Now look whose confident now! I want to end you as soon as I can so I can eat my Corrupted Void frozen yogurt and enjoy watching your friends squirm against my associates! But why wont you move further along in the maze?" "Because I dont want to waste my time with my attention split! Now then, its time you got taught a lesson! *starts singing badly on purpose* Yeedel yeedel yeet yeet oh oh oh woah woah woah wee wee wee youre trash lalalalalala lololololol space dreaming!"

Destroyo is just in complete horror: "MY EARS! AAAAA! Make it stop!" With him too occupied on my purposeful bad singing, I punch him in the stomach and slice away at him a bit. During the reaction time that results, I activate the field spell Artistic Habitation which encloses the maze in an environment which is actually livable, putting an end to my hole problem for the moment. "How dare you attack me like this! How dare you make this area safe! I will leave my mortal body behind to evolve now by ripping it apart as I transform!" "Oh great another gross body transformation." Beastly hands emerge from the belly, horns sprout from inside those ears, growths emerge on toes, the eyes go dark, and a tail appears near the butt. Then, his legs grow in height for no reason as his body overall widens alongside his head inflating to a brand new size. It seems like the transformation keeps going and going until Destroyo rips his mii skin right off which takes the hair on his head with it. "I am done holding back, my true form has now emerged and with it comes new powers I couldnt use till now! My created lance is nothing compared to this so nothing that I dont need armor or weapons while you do! My scales act like armor and are as sharp as cleavers!" "Just get on with it, I want to go home as soon as I can and have lunch sometime soon!" "Just zip it, look whos talking, youre a mortal who pretends to be things you are not such as being non binary, youre just a man who is confused about your gender!" "These insults are so lame I should have expected them from the likes of you but carry on if you so wish, youre just wasting time."

Destroyo raises his right hand claw and a dark energy emits from it: "Final Countdown! Thats the name of my attack and when it is over, so will you! Waiting around for you to fight me as you tried to get through the maze was so boring I couldnt help but let you fight me in this area! After all, Gorganan will be prouder of me if I destroy you right here and now! Its just like Destiny Board but the timer reaches closer to doom every second instead of every one of my turns in a duel!" Sure enough, he unleashes the attack which generates a 2 minute timer. I reply: "Im not going to let that timer hit 0 without a fight, Destroyo!" "Glad to hear it, I spent so much energy forming it and now I will use some of the remaining energy to maybe even beat you before time is up! After all, I have so much power I spent only 40% of my power on the big attack! Dark Deception! Now you see me, now you see many mes!" A whole circle of identical looking Destroyo beasts appear, that means he cloned himself and I have to find the real one in that whole crowd of Destroyos. "Okay then take this! Spiral Spin Slash!" My attack cuts through a lot of the clones, destroying them but a lot isnt the majority of the total number of these clones. I must find a more effective way to get the real one out given that time is running out. I determine that maybe theres a personality difference of some kind. And I quickly find that difference by speaking like a zombie: "Ooooo I wants your brains, me hungry for yum yum brains!" All but one Destroyo beasts flee in terror, exposing the real one who is so surprised I sneak a successful Darkeye Slash easily. "Oww! Oh well, the timer has only 30 seconds left, I didnt think it would take so long for you to find me, the way you did left me in surprise!" His claws and my sword clash over and over till the timer reaches 0. A moon orbiting the planet which is visible easily explodes sending a lot of debris right for me. With no atmosphere to burn em up, the debris are a huge threat so I must get em to stop, my field spell must not be destroyed or else I will be doomed. I use my hands to generate a long beam of light that I use like a laser to cut the debris up into smaller chunks. Some time passes with most of the debris being diverted while the rest doesnt cause a dent in anything.

Destroyo laughs: "That was the distraction, the real attack has been attacking you invisibly this entire time! It hurts you without you feeling anything, many wounds are forming on you and it also drains your energy! This is checkmate as the final stage of the attack will cut you down to size once this attack is finished draining and harming you!" Im so glad my spacesuit stores oxygen differently than with other spacesuits Ive seen so I easily get out my backpack and eat MP candy and an HP banana: "I hate the taste of bananas but these 2 snacks I brought just in case have backtracked the progression of your secret attack by a lot! That means I have the strength to now overcome it, Light Ray Shield!" Using a lot of light magic, I form a barrier around myself that repels darkness, making the darkness useless in its efforts to hurt and drain me completely. "Noooo! Miitopian snacks have ruined my plans so many times, I cant take it! The final round of the attack is coming now, I will use my remaining power to strengthen it! Say hello to the meteor filled with dark energy!" A big meteor crashes onto the ground nearby, Destroyo is completely out of energy and collapses so I must save myself. Blocking with all my might, I hold my sword out in a blocking position to have it absorb as much of the force as possible before running out of range as the majority of the maze is instantly vaporized, leaving behind a great big hole behind. Destroyo wakes up and sees me still in one piece: "Impossible! You should have been turned to nothing but quarks! Im all out of my power! Nooooo, you can beat me in one attack! I give up! I give up!" Suddenly, the ground starts shaking as some clock ticks loudly. I exclaim: "What is happening now?"

Destroyo maniacally laughs: "So what if I lost? That doesnt matter now for all of time and space is doomed! DOOMED! My attacks must have had enough force to finally activate it, the device and more that will all leave no trace of any of the realities that exist!" Gorganan`s voice once again speaks as a transparent giant version of the evil mastermind appears: "That is right my minion Destroyo! You may have failed by your own doing just like Argorous but what you just did began the beginning of the end of all space and time apart from my black hole kingdom! I am so proud that I forgive you for your failure! This is being broadcast all throughout the planet so everyone please cease for it is important for even you my enemies to hear all of this so youll know what devastation awaits! That Lord Ross or whatever he calls himself could never harness the power of the Time Tornado like I can! I stole it from the universe that that show Regular Show broadcasts and with its power combined with the few inventions I have made alongside my dark power, nothing can stop my ultimate plan!" Argorus shows up freaking out: "Adam, I should have told you! Ive known about this plan!' Gorganan continues: "No Argorus, you never did know my plan in fact no one did except me and Destroyo! I trusted Destroyo enough to let him in on my secret plan! Time and time again, you heroes have trashed my attempts to ruin timelines! That time the alternate SDL was defeated was the first major event that really angered me! Whats the point of ruining timelines when light would always eventually come to ruin my ambitions? So I thought what if I just destroyed the timelines of all universes not just the ones in our plane of reality? Without time, space would be nothing so nothing in fact all dark energy would be floating around! I would become unstoppable and have no opposition as the light would only be able to try to change me! I could build my own perfect utopia!"

Destroyo adds: "Once there was a prediction that a major battle on this planet would trigger doomsday and it has come true. That prediction came from me, I was one of those entrusted with the power of Future Sight as a Great Sage. You may not believe this but I am far older than I appear and can explain how even with my intense exhaustion. I was one of the first beings to be born in this plane of existence. My soul migrated from vessel to vessel over and over until I was reborn in Miitopia. I acquired Future Sight in my 2nd life and it only awakened when I was the king of an ancient kingdom on one of the many Earth worlds. After that, it was silent but when I became a Great Sage before betraying the peace of the title, I was trained to reawaken its power." Gorganan is shocked: "You never told me this! Why would you hide it? I tamper with space and time for my amusement!" "I cannot reveal a prophecy until Im supposed to unless I want to be stripped of everything but my soul left extremely weakened. After all, our plane of existence was formed after a powerhungry existence plane ruler became so powerful he defied all entities and wanted to make everything bow to him, he rejected all forces even darkness. Darkness was forced to team up with the other forces and together, they brought him down and split apart his plane of reality. That split created several new realities including ours which inherited some from that plane. I was gifted by the power of darkness when I was reborn into my 2nd life that Future Sight, making me make promises I must still keep."

"Impossible! More existence history than known! Oh well! You fools do not have much time till all time is swallowed up and destroyed! Days of time are being sucked in every second now! Make sure you all defeat my minions, I very much desire you enter my kingdom so my ground army can pummel you for me, I refuse to let the Final Battle prediction as foretold by many scriptures to come to be! With all of you out of the way, there will be no stopping me! I must go now for my favorite meal of the day, Destroy Dessert!" Destroyo then speaks to me: "I must admit with all the dark magic gone from me that I feel like I was used to bring about the Final Battle.. Almost like the darkness changed me from the day I gained Future Sight." The entity known as the Shadow appears: "So you have discovered the truth. You are no threat to me. When Gorganan succeeds, I plan on merging with him, I will not let another powerful being of darkness defy me again by absorbing me by force. Gorganan will work with me and like it. I am responsible for influencing you Destroyo or should I say Danny? You know, your old name before you got in league with the SDL. Speaking of, I dont understand why Lucifier named that thing Tartz, it seems like there was a tiny bit of silly light within him which was destroyed when those 2 merged into one. I will be going so I dont interfere any longer." "NO! I want to get you back for this!" "Too late!" Brayden teleports to us having somehow heard what all just happened: "I am so sorry for you Destroyo or do you like your original mii name better now?" "Danny is fine now." "Well that makes things easier, you are far too drained to fight now but Adam and I can protect you once their spacesuit is fixed. Just give me a second. *uses wand to close the hole* There! Also, how are you holding up Argorus?"

Argorus responds with a small smile: "Better, I have rested a lot, thank you for taking me with you, I needed time to rest so badly and to think, my mind is no longer clouded by darkness." Danny adds: "Or dare I say the manipulator!" Brayden is taken aback: "You know the other name huh? Its very accurate, the real formation of that entity and the others is something no one knows but them, they however will never share that unknown. The light told me they do this to keep reality from closing in on itself, the information is too powerful. We must soon depart to find ways to help the others finish their challenges but what if I told you the past and future are both being altered? But before I explain, you need to get your prize for technically beating the maze, Adam." I nod and run to what is left of the center of the maze, finding a key waiting for me. I head back holding up the key and victory, invoking a chuckle from Brayden: "There we go! Some excitement! Gorganan`s meddlings with time are so vast that we cannot fix all of them until we beat him. Hes even directly messed with our plane of existence, changing time through that as well. Its much worse than it seems, the Earth Adam comes from has had its history quietly changed drastically so quietly that none of the changes have been detected. Thats because the changes take time to come into effect, it will be like a week or two before it catches up with our present. That is all I have to share, we must hurry if we are to help everyone else in anyway we can." The rest of us nod so I teleport all of us to a location closer to several of our teammates.

That is when Danny says: "My magical energy is slowly returning, it remains dark but I will use my cleared mind to fight the influence of it and instead use it for good. After all, it matters more who wields a power and what they do with it than what type of power it is." I nod in agreement before pulling out more Miitopian snacks to eat as my lunch and to restore some of my lost energy, I have a feeling that the final battle may be much much much much sooner than we anticipated. That might end up being a really really bad thing. After some walking, we find Dominic engaged in a logic game with an enemy who is very clearly cheating. I decide to distract this enemy long enough with bad singing to allow Dominic to take out what was causing the cheating. "STOP the singing! ONLY Dominic is allowed in here, outside help is considered cheating!" Dominic replies: "Says the guy whose been winning by cheating, Adam gave me a chance to finally disable your cheating!" "But you cheated! You lose!" Gorganan`s voice says rudely: "Thats enough out of you, just go with it or I will absorb your lifeforce, if you tolerate not being able to cheat anymore, I will spare you from my wrath." "Okay master.."

Dominic sighs relieved: "Now that thats out of the way, its time for me to beat you! The next question is explaining the water cycle. And you are so speechless I can answer right away and finally score a point. The water cycle is the process by which water moves around an ecosystem with life that depends on it. This includes evaporation when water evaporates into water vapor and enters the skies, it falls down as rain or other precipitation in condensation when it cools down in clouds. This creates weight on the clouds, making the water fall. It can also freeze into ice which is found naturally in cold environments." A robotic machine states: "Correct answer, Scientist Dominic gains one point." The next few minutes are pure chaos as the enemy tries to get the chance to answer first many times and failing every time. In the end, Dominic is ultimately the victor. Dominic grabs his key from the stunned evil minion and Brayden greets him: "Well played Dominic, you should the power of playing by the book within reason and the strength of knowledge. Now we must split into groups to cover ground faster. Adam, I will take the 2 ex enemies with me, you take Dominic because he looks quite exhausted but I cant blame him."

I reply: "Got it! Lets go find some teammates, Dominic! There must be a bunch struggling against cheaters right now or from nearly impossible challenges." Training for so long in sword fighting has given me enough physical strength to easily support Dominic without being slowed down at all. With that all out of the way, I see Yuma and Astral in trouble as some enemy has rigged a duel in their favor, they may have lots of numbers but this enemy is playing so dirty, making it near impossible for Yuma and Astral to win. I spot whats brewing the foul play, torture devices that only affect Yuma alongside Yuma being sucked in slowly by quicksand. Like a ninja, I quietly have Dominic sit down and rest before sneaking up by crawling in order to slash away at the cords making the torture machines work. After this, I say: "No more foul play foul villain! Its time to divert all that quicksand and you cant stop me, this is an unfair challenge anyway! At least my challenge had things I was made aware of! Spiral Spin Slash but with extra power!" With no weight bearing from my spacesuit still, I easily draw up the power to make a huge version of the attack with enough force as to make the quicksand leave as a quicksand tornado that breaks up when it reaches a nearby hill. In turn, Yuma and Astral are able to win pretty soon, allowing them to go off in search for others to help too. Due to a domino effect now in motion, all the remaining challenges are conquered within the next 30 minutes or so.

Captain Blaster spotted the gate we need to head to so Brayden says with everyone back together with a remark: "Its funny how some of the most powerful leaders are alright with taking orders from me! We are on team business so of course that is so! It makes life easier for all of us! Now then, place your keys wherever they fit and then this gate should open, I see the black hole from here." After that is done, the gate does indeed open but we didnt see the huge army waiting for us to step foot beyond the gate which leads to a twisted and turning path to some floating kingdom made of dark energy near the event horizon of the black hole. Which is terrifying by itself, I am surprised we havent been sucked into the black hole at all when we didnt even see it till now. Those black holes are so powerful there is no escape past the event horizon, only complete spaghettification. These massive objects created from the deaths of huge stars have such strong magnetic fields they influence the galaxies around them. Dr. Duns panics: "Scientifically unthinkable! We`ve been by a black hole for hours and yet we havent seen it till not that long ago and nothing has been pulled in as far as I know! Black holes are one thing I was never able to fully figure out, their force is far too strong even for my inventions."

Gorganan appears cackling: "I am far too entertained to miss out on being here as my army flattens your chances of making it out alive! I have mastered the power of this black hole and it bends to my will, we are even linked together! It gets worse for you as when you all lose, you will be sucked beyond the event horizon with anything you brought with you! It wasnt my idea to build the gate, ancient beings left it and most of the other challenge areas behind, an inscription on this gate told me it was built along with the challenges to make sure anyone challenging me was worthy of facing my army and/or me! That time has finally come! There is no turning back now! I think the forecast calls for a 100% chance of you all losing and being stretched so thin your cells burst open and you die before ever being able to be ejected out by a white hole! I will not take any questions, you know enough now! Enjoy perishing! Mwahahaha!" He vanishes again and the army charges toward us. I attempt to light their charge up in flames but I am too slow somehow as some tickling curse hits me and makes me so ticklish I cant fight.. In between laughs, I question: "What is the deal with this? I thought Gorganan was much more serious than this! Since when does he play jokes on us?" A enemy troop replies with a smug look: "Master Gorganan has allowed us to defeat all of you in any way possible no matter how extreme. One of the few things Gorganan remembers about you is your weakness of being ticklish so we exploited it."

"Cant stop laughing! Parts of my body are so sensitive I cant move much! This sure is one way of beating me, he managed to remember that we`ve played tricks in the past too and used that to come up with the whole letting you defeat us any way you see fit. I must say, hes gotten better at planning and comprehension since we humiliated him! If you think this will be enough to beat me, think again! Since Im not actually being touched, I can make myself ignore how funny this feels and stick that up your mouth!" I concentrate as best as I can but then realize not only am I being tickled but Im also being ganged up on, these troops are beating me up.. "This aint fair but I guess I will take it! After all, I still can call forth Regnes without my duel disk! Regnes, appear in your greatest form to punish these enemies and join us in battle!" With Regnes appearing, I am soon freed of that gang beatdown. However, there is something funny in the air, almost as if Gorganan quickly adapted his army to the power of Regnes. Its like a bad omen feeling in my gut. This feeling is confirmed as some baddie yells: "Appear Number Destroyer 1: Black Hole Siege! It negates the power of only a number can be destroyed by a number! Regnes has definitely been beat before but thats because a certain amount of damage and exhaustion was high enough to! Not only that but when it attacks, all number monsters lose their attack points and remaining special abilities! It also stops other Xyz monsters! Plus spells and traps wont stop this attack either!" The attack that destroys Regnes is followed up by Number Destroyer 2: Void Revenge, Number Destroyer 3: Dark Sage Infinity, Number Destroyer 4: Aircarrier Doom Ghost, and Number Destroyer 5: Cruel King of Despair. I attempt to use Terror Fairy in battle alongside Jammer and one of each of my Pendulum, Link, Synchro, and Ritual monsters but they are also countered.

Meklord Incarnate 1: Earthbound Soldier, Meklord Incarnate 2: Dark Scorpions Reborn, Meklord Incarnate 3: Anti-Stardust Battlecruiser, Meklord Incarnate 4: Psychic Orb, Meklord Incarnate 5: Division Warrior, Ritual Cancel 1: Pharaoh`s Downfall, Ritual Cancel 2: Media Demolisher, Ritual Cancel 3: Ancient Greed, Ritual Cancel 4: Rules of War, Ritual Cancel 5: Insect Disease, Pendulum Breaker 1: Scorching Evil, Pendulum Breaker 2: Impurity Goblin, Pendulum Breaker 3: Dimension Warp, Pendulum Breaker 4: The Corruption, Pendulum Breaker 5: Conquester, Defuser 1: Polymerization Banisher, Defuser 2: Super Fusion Exterminator, Defuser 3: Conformity Queen, Defuser 4: Academy Inspector, Defuser 5: City of Nightmares, Chain Break 1: Laser Golem, Chain Break 2: SDL V2, Chain Break 2: Insanity, Chain Break 3: Bringer Of Surrender, Chain Break 4: Blackened Time, and Chain Break 5: Mind Intercept shut down Synchro, Ritual, Pendulum, Fusion, and Link monsters respectively. This poses a huge problem as monsters within all those are among our greatest weapons to fight our enemies with but I crack my knuckles: "You think that will stop us! I summon Artistic Apocalypse Brain! Its a monster typically requiring tribute summoning but now I have an excuse to use it! You all have yet to stop Neos, Dark Magician, or the Egyptian Gods among other creatures so eat that!" Thats when another enemy says: "So what? I use Ultimate Void Fusion to fuse all 30 monsters of ours into Summon Stunner! This monster puts all monsters that are at least level 5, come from the extra deck, can be special or tribute summoned, and/or have no levels into banishment! This effect cannot be stopped nor can it be bypassed as long as all 30 monsters are banished just like all of you will be, into the black hole that is! Additionally, all spells and traps cannot be activated now! Even if you summon the likes of Chainsaw Insect, you still wont be able to do much as all monsters with at least 1000 attack points cannot attack or defend either! We can easily take weak monsters! Gorganan created these 31 cards out of thin air having watched all of you battle with your cards among other things today! Thing is, if you all leave this place should you win, the cards will all be destroyed, our master wants no screw ups."

Doc Brown loudly flips out: "Great Scott! Such a powerful card shouldnt be able to be registered on those duel disks as I learned from observing the science of Duel Monsters!" "Well news flash, your scientific data is useless in this!" I think about how this cant get any worse but smile when I recall I still can use Burn Wolf so I launch the powerful bey: "Let it rip! You have shut down my cards almost completely but beys are a different story! Send them flying, Burn Wolf!" Burn Wolf tries to follow my command but starts wobbling since the black hole appears to be so powerful it stops the rotation of beys, thus explaining why the planet we were just on isnt spinning at all. I get Burn Wolf back and then pull out my guitar and shred as fast as I can, trying to use the sound waves to know the enemies back. Unfortunately, I notice that the only reason I can talk to the enemies is through them hacking our communication system, meaning that since we are essentially in space now, the sound waves have no matter to travel through, making it impossible for anything to be heard.. Wow Gorganan picked the perfect place to put a hideout, why do I suspect that he moved the planet and gate to orbit that black hole somehow? Oh well, it seems like a plausible explanation to me. That means my screaming vocals will do nothing when the communications system has been hacked and again no matter for sound to travel on.. This leaves only 2 options with which to fight back: sword and magic. My Squirtle cannot survive in this environment since theres no extra spacesuit for em.. And I literally made Squirtle a formidable but still cute Pokemon for this battle :(.. It then dawns on me that the reason I was too slow with fire magic is because theres so little matter around that not only did I think there was no matter but fire doesnt work out here.

Some top ranking enemy laughs: "We have almost exhausted all of you of all options! Non fire magic & weapons are the only things that will work here! Good luck trying to win when we are trained for fighting in this environment! As the new right hand of Gorganan, I want to announce that he sends you his unregards!" Ive had enough of all this, the tickling was given up on way back yes but that just means I can really leap into action now! "Super Spin Slash! Darkeye Slash! Momentum Tornado Slice! Star Formation Slam!" These combined attacks do nothing against the extreme armor worn by the soldier enemies. "Those were some of my best attacks! Im amazed that we arent floating though, must be through that black hole! Anyway, this is insane, y`all have outwitted me so well even with a lack of battle data on me beyond what Ive done today! If it takes all of my energy so be it! I will pierce through that armor, I refuse to give up on the cause I so deeply care about! Point Pierce Sword Poke!" My attack involves me putting in a lot of effort to pierce armor with a single small hole that would create an impact, cracking the armor of any enemy I can get close enough to in range. Going big, I go for that new right hand jerk pants: "Your jig is up, I will make you much more vulnerable no matter what it takes!" "Go ahead, Im too curious to try to stop you! Lucky us, dark energy flowing through us makes it possible for us to not also need spacesuits! That means all of you can die more easily than us! Youre so childish and helpless its so much fun to watch you try to defy us!" I pierce the armor: "Just because I like being childish doesnt mean Im not totally useless all the time! *the armor cracks* Even though you can live in space, this attack will still destroy your armor making you target number one and easiest to defeat no matter how strong your actual attacks are! This is my newest attack, we had a feeling that we would face enemies armored with tough army sometime so I developed this attack as a means to counter it! Now that is one place I one up you! Im going to enjoy this small victory as long as I can now!" The battle rages on, my side is essentially losing, struggling without most ways to fight back unless they are ninja or part of the Belevolent Alliance or are dragon, those are the only teammates who are standing a chance even though no one but me has broken through any of that armor.

With the armor falling off right hand of Gorganan, I pick up a piece of it and quickly get it to Dominic before duking it out with who I just managed to screw over. Its a clash of weapons, sword vs a dark advanced gun. The dark advanced gun stands no chance against my sword so the right hand man of Gorganan says: "So, my gun is being beat easily by you with your sword now is it? My actual name is Jjpax and I will now be your worst nightmare of an unknown amount of time! I dont need a weapon to fight you, Im one of many who can evolve into a beast creature among Gorganan`s loyal forces! After all, most of us were created by him to serve him and occupy all of his kingdom besides his castle! Soon, his kingdom will become an empire once again but without interference stopping the goal! You will be among the first to go down in your team, we have already defeated your leader, you stand little chance now! My beastly form will be my new armor! Just like with Destroyo who you beat or rather watched as he defeated himself since you got to survive his wrath!" He transforms instantly and then smartly knocks my sword out of my hand to make it completely out of range. I should have taken more hand to hand combat training, I literally told people 2 years ago to rely on that when nothing else works, this is ironic. I am now running away in fear as there is literally nothing else I can do, my fists would do little damage and Id hurt them by trying to punch those rough scales that Jjpax has.. I have gone silent so as to not let my energy deplete faster, so grateful for having done a lot of running training. "You cant run from me forever! You giving me the silent treatment will not spare you of anything I dish out to you! If youre gonna run, so can I! *starts running too* I will catch you will just my huge size alone, you pest are done for! I have no want to kill you, I just want to defeat you so the black hole can kill you instead!"

Silent terror befalls me completely the closer he gets to defeating me. My legs give out and I fall due to an exhaustion 5 minutes later. Panting heavily, I look up as Jjpax waves before blasting me with dark magic, officially defeating me. My teammates are not too far behind me in terms of being defeated, not even Pharaoh Atem can stand up to them without the gods, Dark Magician, Exodia, or Black Luster Soldier to help. All the Kuribohs protect their masters but that protection is very short lived. The bladers were to first to fall without being able to use their beys. Now even the ninja who had the best chance against our foes are on the ground defeated. Gorganan makes another appearance: "Stand back my army! Make way for your master to see what you all have done today! Oh lookie, you beat all of them, I had little doubt in my mind you would! Thanks to my chief scientist, we have won this battle and now we can destroy them! Black hole, suck in these losers and end their misery with so much misery their brains overload!" The black hole promptly sucks us in and we quickly pass the event horizon and into the black hole itself with our ships.. In a distorted voice I exclaim: "We were outmatched so hard that this end of our lives is just a power flex at this point in comparison to how easily we were beat! Lets hope we can escape this, I have hope that we actually can but how?" Dominic begins brainstorming with Doc Brown, Dr. Eisenstein, Dr. Duns, and the other scientists on ways to get out of this, not even being spaghettified is stopping their brains from formulating escape plans. Too bad the only power I can use is my light magic in limited quantities since I barely used it but am still exhausted.. The falling just continues to go and go seemingly unable to end. I feel my body begin to be stretched more and more, soon my cells will actually burst all at once just as Gorganan thought.

A familiar voice from years ago speaks in my mind: "Adam, accept the power of the mark of the fish once again and save your friends and allies with that power. Call for the seal to be broken and free us." "No I refuse to! I will only do so if I am on the verge of having my cells being stretched so hard they burst and that wont happen for a few minutes!" "Suit yourself, enjoy your doom. I will have more times to try to convince you to accept the mark once again." Dang it leave me alone, somehow revived Piscis Dau! Dominic in frustration yells: "No plan of ours will work! Who has some dumb ideas that are so dumb that they could actually work? Sometimes, the greatest logic comes from the most simple and rash of thinking. We are able to talk which is a miracle that just might save us." No ideas come up so there is just silence until I accept our fate and start singing about it: "We had a long grand run! Tried our very best to save our reality! But now even the best of us have been bested, we have no way out of here, only doom! What will we do but look back at the past at the good and the bad? There is almost nothing to do, we cannot use our powers because we are stretched so thin and are so tired and hurt.. If I could let tears out, I would now because this is the end, we are done, I only accept defeat when theres truly no way out.." Some others sing too and we all share a somber moment of sadness and defeat. When the singing ends, several powerful beings including Rainbow Dragon, Numeron Dragon, and the Crimson Dragon appear and use their power to pull us out of the black hole. Looks like the only things stronger than a black hole are reality shifting beings such as them. I open my eyes having closed them due to the blinding light to see Im in my ship and the others are in theirs. We fly off back to Cornburry talking through communications about what just happened after thanking the beings who helped us. Gorganan is watching us and probably screaming about all this while literally eating his entire army, not absorbing them, eating them.

Outro: Yeah this chapter didnt go entirely as planned lol but the ending is PURE gold! Its good to actually have the good side completely and utterly lose for once, dont want the team to be invincible after all! I hope the rest of the chapter was good enough because a lot of it feels kinda like filler too me and Im sorry about that, at least I think the ending rocks! Thats just about it, see ya next time!
