Scene 1: TARDIS
[Track 1] The Doctor and River work at the controls.
DOCTOR: Present day?
RIVER: Sure. I want a break from all of this.
The Doctor gives a questioning look at Amy and Rory. They're both slumped out in different areas of the TARDIS. Rory is bent over a railing and Amy on one of the chairs.
DOCTOR: Are you guys okay?
The two are silent.
DOCTOR: No? River, can you check their vitals while I set the TARDIS off to London?
The Doctor pushes some buttons and pulls the lever to head off to present day London. The Doctor then rushes to see what is going on with Amy and Rory.
DOCTOR: How are they? Are they okay?
RIVER: No, I don't think they feel too good. Neither do I, to be honest.
Both Amy and Rory are dead silent.
DOCTOR: The moment we land, we should take them to a hospital immediately- and fast. You better get ready to help carry them.
Scene 2: London
The TARDIS lands in a London square. The Doctor opens the door of the TARDIS, only to find the sky filled with smoke.
DOCTOR: Looks like pollution has finally taken its toll on Earth. I'd say that we're in the…210th Century. Not too far off, I guess.
River, who finally finishes bringing Amy and Rory up to the door, climbs over the rubble that surrounds the TARDIS, and sees the ruins of Nelson's Column. The Doctor picks up a newspaper buried in the rocks.
RIVER: What is that?
A massive silhouette makes its appearance clear to the Doctor and River when they take a long and hard look at it. The surrounding buildings are all crumbled, with bodies littered in the area. There are flames in countless areas.
RIVER: Do you actually think the Master kept his promise?
The Doctor is too shocked to speak.
There is a crashed & wrecked freighter in the distance, stretching so far that the Doctor and River cannot see either end.
CUT TO:
The camera follows the Doctor and River, who are running through the streets of London, which are littered with ruins of buildings, bodies, broken lamp posts and letterboxes, collapsed trees and broken vehicles.
RIVER: How can this be?
DOCTOR: Keep running!
RIVER: What?
DOCTOR: Keep running!
The camera pans to behind them. There are a dozen humans, all burnt and bloodied corpses, lumbering behind them.
DOCTOR: Right!
The camera turns back to see them turn right into Carnaby Street. They continue to run down for a while.
RIVER: Doctor, through here!
They run into the ruins of a shop next to them. The Doctor and River run past three aisles and hide behind a sofa.
RIVER: Check that date again. Maybe it's 3015?
DOCTOR: Check it yourself.
The Doctor takes the newspaper out of his pocket and passes it to River. At the top, it reads:
26th May 2015
RIVER: Typo?
DOCTOR: There's no mistake. This is the early 21st Century. That's what affected Amy and Rory.
RIVER: How can we help them?
DOCTOR: We find the TARDIS again, we stabilise the paradox.
RIVER: Do you think the Master was involved?
DOCTOR: Definitely. I've seen this sort of thing before, when the Daleks invaded London in 1963. We stopped them last time; they had a device that was able to manipulate the timelines. We went back in time and destroyed it before it could do any harm. But the Master has a TARDIS. We don't. He could go back further and further in time to make more anomalies.
One of the Infected spots them.
RIVER: Go, go, go!
The camera starts to move again, as the Doctor and River jump over the counter, burst into the backroom and run out the back door. He shuts the door behind him. River moves a wheelie bin in front of it to block it.
RIVER: That won't hold them for long.
DOCTOR: Yes, I understand that!
RIVER: Will Amy and Rory be okay?
DOCTOR: For now, yes. The TARDIS should sustain them for a period of time, but it's not long.
They walk out of the alleyway. They look about to see the coast is clear. They climb over the wreckage. Suddenly, they see savage, mutated animals growling at them.
DOCTOR: Hello. I'm the Doctor…Have you got an appointment?
The animals chase them down the street.
RIVER: What's happened to them?
DOCTOR: Imagine Chernobyl, but about 8000 times stronger. I'd imagine the whole world's been affected.
RIVER: Why's the Master done this?
DOCTOR: Well, when we find him, I'll be sure to ask!
Two people run out of an alleyway in hazmat suits and pistols.
ANNA: Are you infected?
DOCTOR: What?
ANNA: Are you infected?!
RIVER: No, no we're not!
JAMIE: That's impossible!
ANNA: We don't have time to argue about this! Follow us, quick!
The Doctor and River follow the two strangers down the alleyway. They crouch over a manhole cover and pry it open. They all climb down.
Scene 3: Sewers
As they climb down, the strangers turn on torches.
JAMIE: This way. We'd better avoid the rats.
RIVER: The rats?
DOCTOR: Rats? What's wrong with rats? I had a rat as a pet once. No, I didn't, it was an armadillo. And she wasn't a pet, more like a...Zygon intruder. Anyway!
ANNA: Keep an eye out.
RIVER: For what?
ANNA: What do you think? The Infected.
The Doctor and River look at each other, as Anna performs a secret knock on a manhole cover above them. The cover opens and they all file in.
Scene 4: Shelter
The Doctor and River follow the strangers into a disused train station through a makeshift door. As they jump over the tracks, they notice seven others and the TARDIS.
DOCTOR: The TARDIS! How did you find it?
JULIE: It's yours?
LIZ: How'd you get it down here?
DOCTOR: Uh, well…I didn't. Where did you get it?
JULIE: We heard a noise outside, we just opened the door and there it was.
DOCTOR: Why does the Master want the TARDIS here?
RIVER: And what's going on outside?
DOCTOR: There's a crashed spaceship, there's millions of viruses that could've broken out into the earth.
RIVER: Right, so it's something from the spaceship?
DOCTOR: Could be, but it's not. Well, it kinda is. Something that's originated from Earth, mixed in with something else from the spaceship, correct? I'd say it started last year.
ANNA: Obviously.
DOCTOR: Imagine...an alien crash, the fumes mixing with a human plague...No-one would survive.
RAY: No-one did. We're the last of humanity.
The Doctor looks at them.
Scene 5: TARDIS
[Track 2] Amy and Rory wake up. River is over the console, working the controls.
AMY: R-River?
RIVER: Just rest your head, Amy.
RORY: Oh, it's like I've got the worst hangover ever.
AMY: Where's the Doctor?
RIVER: Don't worry about him.
There is a crash outside.
AMY: W-what's going on out there?
As Amy gets up, River moves towards the door.
RIVER: Nothing, forget about it.
RORY: What are you hiding from us?
Rory uses the chair to pull himself up.
RIVER: There's nothing wrong.
AMY: River…
RIVER: If you trust me, stay in here.
River walks to the door, as the shouting outside gets louder and louder. She walks out.
Scene 6: Shelter
River walks out of the box to see the Doctor arguing with the strangers. His hand is pressed against his stomach.
JULIE: This is completely unacceptable! We saved you-
DOCTOR: Then why aren't you allowing me to save you?
JAMIE: It's not safe out there. Even with the hazmat suits, we wouldn't survive for long. It's safest that we stay down in here.
DOCTOR: In the sewers.
OMAR: Yes.
DOCTOR: With the rats, when there's a bout of bubonic plague going about.
RAY: There aren't any rats, they've...surfaced.
LIZ: Plus, we don't know you! Why would we trust you with our equipment?
DOCTOR: Because I'm the only person alive on this planet that can stop what's happening here, but I need to see the crash-
The Doctor groans and collapses.
RIVER: Doctor?
DOCTOR: I'm fine...temporal discharge, that's all. I've been on Earth a lot, my past's changing-
The Doctor yells in pain.
RIVER: Why am I not affected? I'm Amy and Rory's child, who have both been affected.
DOCTOR: The time vortex protects you, and you don't have as much history with Earth as I do.
RIVER: What can I do?
DOCTOR: Turn on the paradox compensators in the TARDIS!
RIVER: But you told me to never do that!
The Doctor screams in pain.
DOCTOR: Well, I'm telling you now!
River runs back into the TARDIS.
Scene 7: TARDIS
Amy and Rory turn back to River, who runs up to the console. She pulls a few levers, and the TARDIS goes out of control.
RIVER: Get down, quickly!
The three drop to the floor as the TARDIS is engulfed in a white light.
Scene 8: Shelter
The TARDIS emits a white glow, as the Doctor jumps to his feet.
DOCTOR: Okay...okay, oh okay...Never seen that before. Alright, now-
Another white light flashes in front of all of them.
Scene 9: Null
The Doctor looks around in a white void. He is alone. Suddenly, a figure forms. It's the Master.
DOCTOR: What did you do? Where is this?
MASTER: Welcome to my Paradox World. The void between the fixed reality, and the broken one. As I am the epicentre of this paradox, I am able to control it.
DOCTOR: Why are you showing me this?
MASTER: To give you a choice. With the paradox compensators on, the TARDIS will be destroying itself. The reality buffers are off, the TARDIS is growing to its normal size, with your pets inside. They can stay in this void forever, or…
The Master opens two windows. One shows a normal London, the other of the ruined version.
MASTER: Send them to either reality where the TARDIS will be destroyed.
DOCTOR: But if I fix time, if I unwrite what you've rewritten, the TARDIS won't get destroyed. Everything will be safe.
MASTER: Good luck with that, then.
DOCTOR: I choose this fake reality you've made. I choose for them to stay with me. If you send them to the proper timeline, when you reset it, they'll be wiped out. When I fix this timeline, the void will cease to exist. I need my friends with me.
MASTER: So be it. But understand this, when you return, your TARDIS will be a ticking time bomb.
DOCTOR: I know. But why did you destroy the Earth? How?
MASTER: To highlight my power, Earth is just the first. A whole planet snuffed out in a second. I shall do the same to every planet in this system. With my power advertised, not one creation in the Universe will dare to stand up to me. Every species will be mine to rule.
DOCTOR: What then?
MASTER: Oh, look. You've caught me monologuing. No time for interrogation, now. Back you go!
The Master snaps his fingers. The Doctor disappears.
Scene 10: Shelter
The Doctor wakes up. The strangers are rushing about. Julie is being carried out, clearly killed. The TARDIS is starting to materialise, but slowly.
DOCTOR: What happened?
LIZ: Nothing much, just a 6.5.
DOCTOR: 6.5?
LIZ: Yeah. We definitely weren't expecting it, though. That quake managed to take out our rear cameras. Now everyone's busy, you need to come with me.
Liz raises a pistol, pointed at the Doctor.
DOCTOR: Okay, I see we're all gun people here. Why the guns? You know, I really don't like guns, unless they're being pointed at my head, where I don't like them but my face just shouts "TAKE ME TO YOUR LEADER!"
Liz gives a questioning look.
DOCTOR: Sorry, I'm rambling. Go on.
LIZ: We don't know who you are, or where you came from, but how you survived is impossible. We've been looking for other survivors for a year.
DOCTOR: And you just found one.
A man in a lab coat approaches them.
GUS: But we called out to the whole of England. The whole planet. 10 months ago. How come it's only now you show up?
DOCTOR: Trust me, you don't want to do this.
LIZ: Oh, I do. You might be a hallucination, or a trick set by the Master.
DOCTOR: The Master? Oh, you know him, do you?
LIZ: Of course we do. The fact that you don't know that makes me more and more concerned of you.
GUS: What are you going to do with him?
LIZ: There's nowhere safe in here to store him. So…
The Doctor steps back, cautiously.
Scene 11: Sewers
The Doctor is thrown out of the shelter. The Doctor bangs on the door.
DOCTOR: Hey, you can't do this! I am the only person who can help you! You need to let me in!
He looks around, as he hears a loud crash nearby.
Scene 12: Shelter
Omar and Anna walk in, and glare at Liz and Gus.
OMAR: Liz? What's going on?
LIZ: We have no idea what you brought to us.
ANNA: Survivors.
LIZ: And did you even question how they survived?
ANNA: The point is, they did. When did we start turning on our own people?
LIZ: When did we stop? Throughout our whole history, there's been wars and invasions. What if it's an attack from another country? We know that there are some international survivors.
OMAR: You're way too paranoid, Liz.
LIZ: No, Omar. I'm realistic. You still think that we're going to be saved somehow.
OMAR: I'm letting them in.
Liz raises the pistol again and points it at Omar. Gus widens his eyes in shock.
Scene 13: Sewers
The Doctor hears another crash. Slowly, he looks right.
There is a giant, mutated rat.
DOCTOR: Open...open this door! Open this door!
He hits the door, trying to get it open.
Scene 14: Shelter
[Track 3] They listen to the banging from outside.
ANNA: Liz...Just put the gun down. You're being unreasonable.
LIZ: No, you are. Do you know who these people are?
ANNA: No?
LIZ: Exactly! We can't let them in.
GUS: Come on, Liz. Even I can see this is going too far.
Gus walks to the door. Liz fires the pistol, and Gus is shot. He collapses onto the floor. The others run in.
ANNA: Oh, my god! What happened here?
LIZ: Nobody move or I fire!
RAY: What have you done? My God, what have you done?!
LIZ: Gus...Gus is dead...I was right! These people are getting us to turn on each other!
JAMIE: Gus? Gus, can you hear me? You've killed him, Liz!
LIZ: I...
Suddenly, a huge shockwave blows out from the TARDIS, knocking everyone to the floor. Amy, Rory and River run out, coughing. The TARDIS haphazardly takes off once more.
AMY: Where are we?
RIVER: It doesn't matter!
RORY: River, stop hiding from us! Tell us what's going on!
DOCTOR (oc): Open! Please, open up!
River hears this, and runs to the door. She opens it and the Doctor falls in.
AMY: Doctor, what's happening?
DOCTOR: Oh, not much...just a giant rat situation!
The Doctor jumps up and runs back as the rat tries to break through the door. The walls start to crack.
RORY: Okay, so not on Earth, then?
DOCTOR: Well, yes.
AMY: Wait, what?
DOCTOR: So, do you remember when there was that outbreak of plague in that hospital and I was caught up in it?
AMY: Yes?
DOCTOR: Well, that was a year ago. Time's changed, it's very complicated and-
The wall starts to break apart.
DOCTOR: I'll explain later!
They all help the survivors up.
DOCTOR: Out, out, just get out!
ANNA: That's the only way out!
RORY: You've got to be kidding me!
AMY: Where are we?
OMAR: Piccadilly Circus station, but we blocked off all the exits so that these mutations can't get through.
DOCTOR: I can get us out, lead the way!
The Doctor runs after Omar out of the station.
RORY: Have you got peppermint oil?
RAY: Not too much. We raided all we could, but we've only got a limited supply.
RORY: Great. Rats hate peppermint oil!
Rory runs off. Liz grabs the pistol and points it at the rat.
AMY: What is it with you and guns?
LIZ: It's vermin, I think this should kill it.
AMY: That'll be like firing a nerf bullet into a normal rat!
JAMIE: It could do some damage.
RIVER: What?
JAMIE: It could hurt it enough! We could escape!
AMY: Oh, come on! Don't be ridiculous!
Rory runs back in, dousing the floor with peppermint oil. The rat starts to retreat.
AMY: It's working!
Liz runs after it, before shooting it. It turns back, and starts to approach them. The Doctor and Omar run back in.
DOCTOR: What have you done?
RIVER: Doctor! We've got company!
At the other end of the tunnel, another dozen plague victims start to limp towards them.
DOCTOR: Go, go, go! Follow Omar!
They all run out onto the platform and up the stairs. The mutations all step onto the tracks, where they are fried. They all fall back onto the gravel.
Scene 15: Piccadilly Circus
[Track 4] The Doctor helps the others out from the stairway down into the station.
DOCTOR: Is everyone alright?
ANNA: All good here.
Amy and Rory look about. Their eyes well up to see the ruins of London, shadowed by the colossal spaceship.
RORY: This is home?
AMY: It can't be, Doctor.
DOCTOR: We can fix everything that's happened here. We've just got to find the TARDIS again.
RIVER: Where might it be?
DOCTOR: I have a feeling that it'll have centered on the heart of the paradox.
AMY: And that'd be-
DOCTOR: Yes. On board that spaceship.
They all look at Liz, who is shaking her head.
LIZ: Aha, nuh-uh.
DOCTOR: Why are you so against us?
LIZ: Uh, because we don't know you?
DOCTOR: We are the only survivors of planet Earth. You need to trust us.
LIZ: I've learnt not to trust anything, because it will always let you down.
They all sigh.
RIVER: What did you lose?
LIZ: How did you...my family. On the day, I was going to be a professor at Cambridge. Then I wake up, and...I find that everything around me has been killed. My family, my friends, my cat, my job…my whole life. A long time ago I became too confident with what I had. And it took away my heart.
AMY: That's why you didn't want to let us in. Not for you, but for the others. You didn't want them to get hurt the way you did.
LIZ: So much for that plan. It got Gus killed.
Anna screams. One of the zombie creatures appears from the station, grabbing her and reaching across her skin. They all jump back. Her body starts to transform, her appearance matching the symptoms of the other creatures. More of them approach, and Liz fires the pistol.
OMAR: Anna! No!
Liz's pistol is now empty. She fumbles around, trying to find the bullets that she intended to fill the emptiness in the barrel of the gun.
DOCTOR: Get back, there's nothing we can do for her!
JAMIE: We can't leave her, we have to help-
RIVER: Just move it, now!
They all run off, as Anna is one of the zombies.
CUT TO:
Scene 16: London Street
They hide in a doorway to one of the shops, presumably a staff entrance. They all huff and puff.
RORY: There's no traffic at Piccadilly Circus. It really is the end of the world.
RAY: It's not safe up here, we need to relocate and fast.
[Track 5]
LIZ: Up here.
AMY: What's up there?
LIZ: With any luck, a working vehicle. Hopefully, it'll work long enough for us to get to Portsmouth, and, again, with luck, we'll get a boat working.
DOCTOR: A boat?
LIZ: If you can save the Earth, then do it. I don't see how anything can change now. The closest entrance to the ship is in the North Sea. Let's move it.
They walk along, looking in cars.
AMY: I thought that that the ship would've burnt all of the fuel?
RAY: Nah, the metal frame would've shielded it. Plus, not every car depends on fuel. We've got electric cars, too.
AMY: But the circuits would've fried.
DOCTOR: We got one!
They all run over to the Doctor, who is fiddling with the underside of a burnt and scrapped car.
DOCTOR: Yep. Just a dash of sonic power, hopefully we'll be down there in 3 hours before it conks out again.
OMAR: I don't think even your magic wand can fix a car like this.
DOCTOR: It is not a magic wand.
Amy looks back to Piccadilly Circus. Something is breaking through the screens.
AMY: Doctor, there's something behind them.
DOCTOR: Okay, stand back, Pond.
The Doctor whips out his sonic screwdriver, scanning around.
DOCTOR: I'm getting lifeforms. Lots of them. Thirty...fourty…? The sonic's malfunctioning, I can't tell!
The screens crack. A huge swarm of rats breaks out of them.
RORY: You have got to be kidding me. That's not…
DOCTOR: Okay, into the car, now!
Everyone climbs into the car.
Scene 17: Car
The Doctor passes Liz the sonic, which she activates. The car switches on.
LIZ: We've got to drive through Piccadilly Circus, it's the only way. The other roads are all blocked.
RAY: How do you know?
LIZ: Because I've driven down here before.
Liz drives off.
Scene 18: Piccadilly Circus
The car drives through. The rats all surround the car, trying to break through.
Scene 19: Car
They all scream as the rats break through the windows. One of the rats pulls Omar out of the car, and eats him.
JAMIE: Oh, my god, Omar!
LIZ: We've got to keep driving, I'm sorry!
The car drives off.
Scene 20: Motorway
The car drives badly, dodging fallen trees and scraps of metal. [Track 6]
Scene 21: Car
They all sway in the movement. Amy looks out to the carnage, wiping the tears from her red eyes. Rory comforts her, and she falls into his chest, sobbing silently.
RIVER: What did you mean by "You've driven there before?"
LIZ: I...tried to travel to the ship once. Six months ago. It was all set up, I'd done all the research with Gus' help. I wanted to know how they killed...Never mind. But as I was getting on the boat, a quake blew it up. I couldn't get to the entrance. The worst thing was, I lost five others. They all died for nothing.
RAY: That's what happened on the 'looting trip'?
LIZ: Yes. I was so distraught with what happened, I couldn't bear to tell you. I didn't even tell Gus.
JAMIE: But what about Lisa? She survived.
LIZ: She threatened to tell everyone what had happened. She accused me of being a traitor. So...I had to…
JAMIE: You murdered her...you told us that she was eaten.
RORY: That's horrible.
LIZ: I've struggled with it for too long. I had to, I couldn't survive alone.
RAY: So you killed one of us?
Amy and Rory groan, their physical appearance pulsating into a corporeal form and back.
LIZ: What was that?
AMY: Doctor, it's happening again.
DOCTOR: Yes, I know. The TARDIS is breaking down, it's dimensions are bleeding out. You're losing your protection.
RORY: But why is this affecting us? River said that it's our future.
DOCTOR: You've travelled in time too much. It's affected your temporal compass. You can be influenced by the near future. It was always just a concept, I never thought it possible.
RAY: What are you going on about?
DOCTOR: Uhh...okay. Let's just say I haven't been straight with you.
RIVER: Doctor, are you sure?
DOCTOR: Totally. Liz was right. We're not from around here.
LIZ: What?
DOCTOR: We're from an alternate timeline. The Master changed everything, this wasn't meant to happen. That's why we need my ship back, so we can go fix time. Liz, you're going to be a professor. No-one is going to die. Everything's going to be fine. It's not Liz's fault, it's the Master's. I don't know how he's done this to everyone here, but we'll work it out.
Ray looks off, as an air of a tense silence fills the car. They drive on.
Scene 22: Portsmouth Dock
[Track 7] They walk along the coast, slipping and tip-toeing over machine parts and scraps.
DOCTOR: We've got some analogue rowing boats here, but they won't fit all of us.
RORY: Is that it, then? We can't get to the spaceship?
DOCTOR: Don't be ridiculous, Rory. It's just a bit harder. We've got tons of technological waste here. It's like a dump.
JAMIE: It is a dump.
DOCTOR: Exactly! So, we just find the right pieces, repair them, replace the broken bits, and off we go!
AMY: Bit of an ask.
DOCTOR: Nah, don't be so negative. We'll be on the sea in no time!
Rory looks over. There's a speedboat moored up to the coast.
RORY: How about that?
The Doctor walks over to it, looking at its' condition.
DOCTOR: Anyone an engineer here?
RAY: I have a bit of an idea of what I'm doing.
Ray runs over, and nods.
DOCTOR: What do you think?
RAY: Not too badly damaged, just a blown out engine and a few burnt controls, but nothing major. We could find some repairs easy.
DOCTOR: Well, let's have a look at the engine and see what we're looking at.
They all start to run over to the boat, aside from Liz, who glares at the speedboat, horrified. As Ray opens the boat up, smoke pours out from the engine.
RAY: Yep, as I thought, kaput. We'll need a proper replacement.
DOCTOR: Alright, we want something similar to that, come on.
They all start to scavenge through the engine parts, as Liz looks at the sea, breathing heavily.
CUT TO:
Along the road, the zombie-like creatures are walking along. They see a mutated animal and grab it, starting to rip it apart with their teeth like savages. When all that is left are bones, they carry on.
CUT TO:
They are nearly finished with repairing the boat.
DOCTOR: All aboard!
They climb up onto the boat. The Doctor uses the sonic to set it off, but it stalls.
RIVER: You can't drive anything properly, can you?
DOCTOR: Of course I can!
JAMIE: It must be out of diesel. There's a place just down there for boats.
Jamie picks up Liz's gun and climbs out of the boat.
RORY: Should one of us go with him?
DOCTOR: He should be fine.
Scene 23: Boat Shop
Jamie runs in, looking at lots of barrels. Suddenly, he sees a jug labelled DIESEL.
JAMIE: Gotcha.
He picks it up and carries it out of the store.
Scene 24: Portsmouth Dock
They hear shots being fired. Jamie runs down the shore, as dozens of zombies follow him. Jamie chucks the jug towards the Doctor, and he catches it. Jamie is caught, and is transformed.
DOCTOR: Quickly, fill it up, now!
They open the cap and pour the diesel in. The Doctor turns it on, and starts to drive away, but realises that the rope is still attached to the boat.
RAY: Don't wait for me, just go!
Ray climbs out.
LIZ: Ray, no!
DOCTOR: No!
Ray takes off the rope and the speedboat zooms off. Ray is also grabbed by the zombies.
CUT TO:
Scene 25: Boat
[Track 8] Liz tries to climb out of the boat and swim back to shore, but River holds her back.
LIZ: No, all of them! Again, and again! Every time!
DOCTOR: I'm sorry.
LIZ: Don't you see, this is what happens! Whenever I try to find out the truth! I've lost everyone again!
Liz bursts into tears. Amy and Rory look at each other, then out to the sea of waste. River drives the boat along towards the ship spread across the planet.
CUT TO:
They look up to the ship, which they are now deep into its shadow.
LIZ: I can see it.
They see the big airlock door, which has a cracked and splintered dimensional door surrounding it.
DOCTOR: Now, that's interesting.
Suddenly, something rocks the boat. They look down, and there are hundreds of pirahnas.
AMY: Pirahnas, in the North Sea?
LIZ: Doctor, this reality, you can fix what happened? Promise me you can do it.
DOCTOR: I...I promise.
LIZ: Then I am sure as hell going to get you there.
Liz jumps into the water. The pirahnas all flock to her, leaving the boat alone.
AMY: Oh, Liz!
DOCTOR: She's buying us time.
The Doctor speeds up the boat. As they get closer to the airlock, a haze starts to surround them. Everything starts to turn fuzzy and slow-motion.
RORY: What's….happening?
DOCTOR: We're...entering...a...time...portal! Everyone...hold...on!
They all cling onto the boat as it travels through the portal.
