Scene 1: TV Studio
[Track 1: Technophobia Suite 0:00 - 0:47] A camera turns on, watching the room. From the camera's POV, a man in a well-dressed suit walks in.
ADEM: Hi, there. My name's Ori Adem, owner of Adem Incorporated. And on behalf of Adem Incorporated, we introduce...the Servers!
A white, clean robot walks in mechanically. It's head has a reflective black faceplate, and lights glowing orange are around its neck.
RT-246: Hello. My name is RT-246. How may I serve you today?
ADEM: This is one of our many hard-working employees here at Adem Incorporated. These models are perfect for all your needs! They're fitted with chips to control their functions, such as translation!
RT-246: Did you say translation?
ADEM: That I did, RT-246. Please translate "Sie können einen dieser Server zu einem guten Preis bekommen."
RT-246: Translating...This is Earth German for "You can get one of these servers at a great price."
ADEM: They are also super efficient at analysing and organising data!
Scene 2: Garden
The TV screen plays the advert for the robot. Rory sits in a chair watching it, whilst the Doctor is kicking balls into a makeshift goal. Amy is sleeping in a hammock. Surrounding them is a big jungle planet.
RORY: When are we going to get one of these?
DOCTOR: When we get the money.
RORY: Two weeks we've been stranded here, the TARDIS is broken, and you're saying the only thing that can repair it is one of these servers. So why don't I just steal one?
DOCTOR: For the last time, these are phenomenal, we should pay our respect to Adem Incorporated.
[Track 1 ends]
RORY: And why doesn't the same thing go for this house?
DOCTOR: Because no-one lives here.
RORY: Are you sure of that?
DOCTOR: Yeah.
RORY: Speaking of Adem Incorporated, I'd better go. The pickup truck is about to come round.
DOCTOR: Alright.
Rory gets up out of the chair and walks into the small cottage.
Scene 3: Clearing
Rory walks out to a clearing. A large skyship appears above Rory and whisks him away with a column of light.
Scene 4: Garden
Amy walks out.
AMY: Morning-Oh, my god!
The Doctor is sitting on the wet earth, surrounded by dozens of plant pots.
DOCTOR: Yeah, I got a bit bored and did some pottery.
AMY: I can tell. So what's for breakfast? Tree bark? Leaf soup?
DOCTOR: Ha ha.
He starts to pick up the garden pots.
Scene 5: Factory Entrance
Rory is beamed down to the factory entrance, now wearing plain grey overalls. He walks in.
Scene 6: Garden
Amy looks at the TV screen.
AMY: Doctor?
The Doctor reads the error screen on the TV. It reads:
THIS IS NOT A DRILL.
EMERGENCY STATES ARE ACTIVE.
THE SERVERS ARE ROGUE.
AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS.
EMERGENCY STATES ARE ACTIVE.
THIS IS NOT A DRILL.
The Doctor reads it, shocked.
ROLL TITLES
Scene 7: Factory Floor
[Track 2: The Beast Below 1:03 - 1:39] Rory is making robots. Suddenly, an alarm blares.
RORY: What's going on?
RUEN: Evacuation, we gotta move.
All the workers leave the factory floor.
Scene 8: Service Corridor
The workers walk through. Two robots appear in front of them and behind them. Ruen walks towards them.
RUEN: Oh, are you here to tell us what's going on?
RORY: Be careful, yeah?
RUEN: What's wrong with them? It's not like they're going to hurt us or anything.
ANNOUNCER (oc): Warning, warning! Do not go near the servers - they are dangerous!
RT-153: How can we serve you today?
RT-153 hits Ruen over the head. The workers yell.
RORY: We've got to get out of here!
The workers push past the robots, some getting punched and badly injured.
RT-183: Update developed.
The robots start to fire electrical charges at the workers.
RORY: Run!
Scene 9: Broom Cupboard
Loud thumps sound as various shield plates fall into place around the building. Rory hides with a few others. [Track 2 ends]
COMPUTERISED VOICE: SECURITY LOCKDOWN IS NOW IN EFFECT. REMAIN CALM AND WAIT FOR HELP.
Rory looks at them. [Track 3: Trust Me]
RORY: We should be safe here for now.
ARAN: What do you mean, safe? People are getting murdered out there and we can't get out. The building has gone into security lockdown.
RORY: I know, and I know you've lost people. We need to focus so the rest of us get out of here alive. I've got friends, they can help.
Rory gets out his phone.
TAZ: What's that?
RORY: Communications...thingy.
Rory starts dialling.
Scene 10: TARDIS
The TARDIS is very badly damaged.
DOCTOR: We can't fly in, get Rory out.
AMY: But you say we can't interfere. Rory being in there is interfering.
DOCTOR: The TARDIS is too broken to do anything.
The phone rings.
DOCTOR: Well, aside from that.
The Doctor picks up the phone.
DOCTOR: Hello?
RORY: Doctor, need help urgently.
DOCTOR: (To Amy) It's Rory. What's happening?
RORY: The Servers have gone nuts. A bunch of us are hiding in a cupboard. The building is in lockdown.
DOCTOR: You're unlikely to find Narnia in there. Or, in fact, anything much useful at all. So what's your plan?
RORY: Well, that's what I rang you for. We're gonna need your kind of help.
Amy is moving about agitatedly trying to listen to the call.
AMY: Doctor, I'm having kittens here. What's going on?
DOCTOR: I'm turning on speakerphone. Amy's claiming she has got small cats with her, but I don't see anything.
The Doctor puts the phone down and presses a few buttons around it.
AMY: What's happening, husband?
RORY: The Servers have gone berserk and started attacking us. The building has been security sealed. I don't know much else right now.
AMY: Are you safe?
RORY: Well, we're in a cupboard with rampaging robots on the other side of the door, but we're as safe as we can be for now.
AMY: We're coming for you. Where are there the least robots in the building?
RORY: I'm not sure, but up on the higher floors I guess. No matter what planet you're on, management always like to be away from the hoi polloi.
AMY: Up it is, then. I'll call you soon. Stay safe.
RORY: You too. Be careful, this may not be confined to the factory.
They hang up the call.
AMY: Get us there. Fast.
He nods.
Scene 11: Broom cupboard
RORY: Okay, my wife and the Doctor are coming.
ARAN: Well, we could do with a medic, but your wife, is she security or army?
RORY: Neither.
ARAN: Then, what exactly are you expecting her to be able to do?
RORY: You'll know when you meet her. Where are there the least Servers in the building?
TAZ: Penthouse, management suites.
RORY: How do we get there?
Taz smiles. [Track 3 ends]
Scene 12: Service Corridor
[Track 4: A Disturbance in the Night] Rory and the others are creeping around a corridor trying to reach the lifts.
RORY: How much further?
TAZ: That door leads to reception. We need to get in and across the lobby without being spotted from the gantry. The enerels will take us up.
RORY: Enerels?
TAZ: Energy elevators. Haven't you ever been in them?
RORY: No. I'm fairly new to this planet.
TAZ: Ah, are you on a skills exchange then?
RORY: Something like that.
TAZ: Well, you'll get used to them in no time. My sister says they feel like the old Earth rollercoasters when they go down. Awesome!
Rory looks a little bothered by this.
RORY: …and there's no other way up?
TAZ: Well, there are the server hatches but they're much slower and nowhere near as fun. Don't worry, you'll be fine. (cheekily) I'll hold your hand if you like.
RORY: Best not, the wife wouldn't like it. They still work when the building's in security lockdown?
TAZ: Yeah, they're on a special circuit that works independently from everything else.
Taz heads through the door, holding a finger over her mouth to signal for hush. She cautiously circles round, keeping her back to the walls and an eye on the other exits and gantry as she goes. The exit door is blocked by what look like steel shutters.
TAZ: All clear. Come on!
On reaching Taz, Rory looks at the enerel shaft for the first time. It's a large, extremely well-lit tube behind a sheet glass door. [Track 4 ends] Pulses of light cascade downwards, indicating the direction of travel. A glowing sensor on the wall turns from white to blue as Taz waves her hand across it.
TAZ: Should only be a minute.
The lights in the shaft get faster turn green.
TAZ: Nearly here.
All of a sudden the lights turn from green to red.
TAZ: What the hell?
RORY: What is it?
TAZ: The lift is failing. But that means…
All of a sudden, they hear the screams of several people as they rush by in the tube. Moments later there is a terrible commotion from the basement at the bottom of the shaft before total silence. Everyone is shocked, grief clearly visible on their faces.
ARAN: Oh my… those people…
[Track 5: Adrift In The Tardis]
RT-056 (oc): How can we serve you today?
On either side of the room, Servers enter and head towards the group.
RORY: Back!
They head back towards where they came in, but just as she passes through the doorway Taz is grabbed by a Server.
RT-427: We must serve you.
TAZ: Go!
TAZ tries to fight the robot but is quickly subdued. The others run on.
ARAN: They killed her! They just...they just killed her!
They look at each other, shocked and helpless.
Scene 13: Factory Entrance
A column of light appears as the Doctor and Amy are beamed just outside Adem Incorporated's lobby, standard procedure when the building is in lockdown. At the sight of the steel shields totally enclosing the building, the Doctor waves his sonic screwdriver around as Amy watches on bemusedly. The Doctor looks at the reading on the sonic.
DOCTOR: Completely impenetrable.
AMY: Well, even I could have told you that.
DOCTOR: We'll need Rory to override the shields from the computer.
AMY: Well, he didn't even pass his IT exam, so let's hope he's with someone who knows how to do that.
The Doctor walks around the outside of the building, scanning as he goes.
DOCTOR: Strange readings from below ground, almost like a psionic signal coming from there.
AMY: There's no such thing as ghosts or telepathy.
DOCTOR: (looking affronted) Well yeah, it's true there are no ghosts, but I'll take you to the Minders when we get the TARDIS going again. You'll never doubt telepathy again. But I mean psionics in the literal sense - psi from psyche and the "onics" from electronics. Or in simpler terms, machines.
[Track 5 ends]
AMY: Right, so there's a machine controlling them?
DOCTOR: Yep. I need your phone, please.
Amy passes her mobile to the Doctor, who gives it a zap with the sonic screwdriver before tapping the keys and placing it to his ear.
DOCTOR: Right Pond, this is what we need to do.
Scene 14: Server Hatch
Rory is inside a small service hatch with a carriage, a lot like a dumbwaiter but large and strong enough to carry a single person. It's moving slowly upwards as Rory talks to the Doctor.
RORY: Okay, give me time to regroup and ask the others. Call me in twenty minutes. Tell Amy I'll see her soon.
The carriage comes to a halt and a panel in the wall opens.
Scene 15: Garden
Rory cautiously steps out into an amazing room with marble floors, beautiful paintings, expansive furniture and an indoor fountain surrounded by a garden.
RORY: Wow!
Rory presses the button to send the hatch back to the others. One by one, they each climb up until everyone is back together on the top floor, twenty-seven floors higher than before.
ZOOM IN:
They are talking amongst themselves.
ARAN: …so we have to assume that the Servers have somehow sabotaged the enerels, otherwise the safety circuits would have kicked in and saved those people. We can access the controls nearby and get them back online again. We can lower the security lockdown from the same terminal.
RORY: Using the enerels is a big risk, but the longer we wait the more likely it is we'll be caught. This at least gives us some chance.
ARAN: Ok then. Let's go.
They walk through the garden, everyone admiring what they have never seen before.
Scene 16: Management Reception
[Track 6: The British Are Coming] The enerels are in the centre of the room against a wall, red light showing on the sensor and in the chamber itself. A secretary's curved desk blocks the way towards the management suites. On the desk is a large flat glass panel on a stand.
RORY: Over there.
Aran walks to the panel and begins touching it. It lights up immediately with an intuitive touchscreen interface.
ARAN: This is amazing. I've never seen most of these systems before. I don't even know where to start.
A woman peeps out from one of the nearby suites. They look warily at her.
MO: Luckily for you, I do.
Mo steps out from the suite and walks over to the secretary's desk. She does an awkward wave.
MO: Hello! Chief Security Officer Mo Malley!
RORY: Hi, I'm Rory, this is Aran and … friends. Your timing couldn't be better.
MO: I couldn't save anyone else in the building, so I'd better save you lot.
ARAN: …they're ALL dead?
MO: I'm sorry. It looks like it. But good news, it means I get to focus on you lot! Yay!
Mo taps away on the screen, frowning as she does. She fixes her glasses.
MO: Ooh, I keep being locked out. Luckily for us I helped build the security system.
The vast metal shields can be heard and seen retracting.
COMPUTERISED VOICE: SECURITY LOCKDOWN IS NOW LIFTED. PLEASE REMAIN CALM AND WAIT FOR INSTRUCTIONS FROM YOUR SUPERVISOR.
As the others watch, the enerel lights turn from static red to green flowing upwards.
RORY: Did you just bring the lifts back online?
MO: No, I was working on the lockdown. Go wait over there.
The others hide in the nearby suites. Mo draws a gun and keeps one hand ready at the screen as she waits to see who is approaching.
MO: Haha, never fired one of these before - first time for everything, am I right?
As the lights slow, the tops of four of the Servers heads appear at floor level, rising as the enerel is nearing a halt.
RT-494: How can we serve you today?
Mo ducks a little as the Servers fire their energy weapons at her. She quickly returns fire before jabbing at the touchscreen interface. The enerel heads quickly downwards and a tremendous crash is heard once again from the base of the shaft. The others begin to rejoin Mo.
ARAN: Nice work Mo.
MO: Thank you, thank you. There's just...one slight hiccup!
[Track 6 ends]
RORY: What?
MO: All enerels and service hatches are completely shutdown until being manually reset and security confirmed on the mainframe at the basement level. Hahaha!
RORY: Oh. Stairs for everyone then?
ARAN: There are no stairs in this building.
RORY: So we're stuck here then?
MO: Not quite, but you may not like the way down.
Rory looks anxious and waits.
ARAN: Well, luckily for us there has been a lot of maintenance on the outside of the building recently. Odd spikes of power along the energy grids and what not. We'd finally traced the problem to the basement level when all this started.
RORY: OK, so how does that help us?
Mo grins broadly.
MO: Gravity boots!
RORY: Gravity boots?
ARAN: Of course! The maintenance staff walk around the outside of the building with gravity boots!
RORY: Oh, no, no, no, no, no…
MO: Come on, where's your spirit of adventure?
RORY: I left it at home this week.
MO: Come on, we have a bit of a hike ahead.
They walk on.
Scene 17: Rooftop
[Track 7: All For One 2:48 - 3:50] The group pull on their boots and Rory follows suit. The gravity boots pull to the ground with a loud clunk.
RORY: This is safe?
ARAN: As sure as gravity.
Rory takes a deep breath.
RORY: On three then. One … two … three …
As Amy and the Doctor watch from the ground, they pitch over the edge and continue walking down.
Scene 18: Factory Walls
Rory gasps.
RORY: Uh, my boots...they're getting hot.
MO: They're overheating, hurry up!
RORY: What? We need to go back!
MO: It's too late to turn around now!
RORY: Oh, god...Okay, I've got an idea.
Rory taps on his phone and waits for his call to be answered.
RORY: Hi, Dad.
Scene 19: Kitchen
Brian is watering the plants inside Amy and Rory's kitchen.
BRIAN: Oh, hello! What's up?
Scene 20: Factory Walls
Rory looks around.
RORY: So, I'm walking down the side of a building from the twenty-eighth floor using a pair of "gravity boots".
BRIAN: What?
RORY: And there's a chance I might not survive, so I just wanted to...talk. If I don't hurry up, I'll definitely die.
BRIAN: Where's Amy?
RORY: At the bottom.
Scene 21: Kitchen
Brian nods.
BRIAN: Right, you listen to your old dad. First of all, you think of me all the way down as if I'm sat on that roof with my legs dangling over the edge, drinking tea and eating one of your Mum's sandwiches. I'll be talking to you about the football all the way down.
RORY: Yeah...
BRIAN: …and you also think that every step takes you back to Amy. Not so far, is it son?
RORY: Not now, no.
BRIAN: Good.
Scene 22: Factory Walls
RORY: Thanks, Dad. See you soon...hopefully.
They both hang up. Rory nods. He gets faster. They run down the walls, as Rory is screaming. [Track 7 ends]
Scene 23: Factory Entrance
Amy grabs Rory into a big hug and starts smothering him in kisses.
AMY: Well done, I'm so proud of you.
MO: Right, I'm sending the others home on the next skyship, but I'm staying in case you need to access the computer systems.
The others thank Rory and Mo before starting to talk about their adventure in their small group.
DOCTOR: Right then, time to find out what's behind these robots going berserk.
Scene 24: Main Reception
Mo prepares her gun while the Doctor readies his sonic screwdriver ready to take on any robots they might encounter. They head into the Adem building braced for trouble. Eight robots are lurking in reception and, on seeing the intruders, start to head towards them menacingly.
ROBOTS: (in unison) How may I serve you today?
COMPUTERISED VOICE: Withdraw!
At the command the robots scuttle off. [Track 8: Melody Malone]
DOCTOR: Anyone else feel like you're being lured into the spider's web?
MO: Definitely a trap.
DOCTOR: Well then, let's not keep our hosts waiting. All the signals point to the basement, so lead on Mo.
Mo leads them into a maintenance side room and lifts a hatch in the floor before climbing down into the room below.
MO: All clear, it's safe to come on down.
RORY: You first Doctor.
DOCTOR: Uh-I-uh-
Amy moves forward and heads down the ladder.
AMY (oc): Don't wait up!
Rory and the Doctor join the others.
Scene 25: Basement Maintenance Room
Mo looks at a floorplan of the basement, with maintenance tunnels splitting off.
RORY: So what's in the chamber?
MO: Power generators, electrical circuits and breakers, water pumps… basically all of the control systems for the building.
AMY: That seems like where we need to go then.
RORY: What are we looking for?
DOCTOR: Some kind of transmitter, possibly out of place with the rest of the equipment. Or sabotage even.
Scene 26: Basement Central Chamber
Rory spots a section of partially collapsed tunnel just ahead of him.
RORY: Doctor, I think this might be it.
AMY (oc): What is it?
RORY: Collapsed tunnel.
The others catch up with Rory.
MO: I think this must've been it.
DOCTOR: What?
MO: I got some records recently for something down here, but I didn't know what it was. Must've been for repair work.
AMY: Doesn't look repaired.
DOCTOR: Exactly. Good call, Rory.
They walk towards the central chamber, which is shrouded in darkness.
MO: Weird, this should be fully lit up. Be careful.
DOCTOR: Steady as we go then.
The Doctor lights up the sonic screwdriver and they slowly move into the chamber. The sonic reveals a human figure stood quietly in the background.
ORI ADEM: Welcome, Doctor Who.
MO: Mr. Adem?
ORI: Quite so, Ms. Malley.
MO: I thought you had left the building earlier, sir. We've had some difficulties.
ORI: Correct again.
MO: What's going on, sir?
The lights click on, lighting up a vast chamber with a debris pile nearby. The chamber is full of what is clearly advanced alien technology.
ORI: Just a little theatre Ms. Malley, for the benefit of our guests.
The Doctor scans the air with his sonic screwdriver.
DOCTOR: I'm the Doctor, these are my friends Amy and Rory.
AMY: Hi.
Rory gives a small wave.
Servers swarm out of all the entrances into the chamber, blocking all paths.
ORI: Oh, I know who you are Doctor. My master told me. We've been waiting for you.
MO: Your master? Sir, you are the most powerful person on the planet.
A new voice sounds out, different from the earlier announcements, electronic and hissing.
COMPUTERISED VOICE: Doc-tor Who?
DOCTOR: I'm sorry, have we met?
COMPUTERISED VOICE: 20th Century...Earth...New tower...
RORY: Doctor?
The Doctor looks perplexed, slowly remembering events from so very long ago.
DOCTOR: But that's impossible. You would have been dismantled after I left.
COMPUTERISED VOICE: Introduction...Will Operating Thought Analogue.
[Track 8 ends]
DOCTOR: WOTAN.
RORY: I don't understand.
DOCTOR: Just your average despot, a central intelligence computer that tried to take over the Earth. Think of it as a sentient internet before the internet was a thing.
AMY: The internet can't become sentient can it?
DOCTOR: Spoilers!
[Track 9: Little Angels 0:00 - 1:34] The Doctor walks over to the debris pile and looks into a previously unseen pit. Shining the sonic screwdriver into it, he sees what looks, compared with the other technology around, like a large, primitive computer.
DOCTOR: Ah, there you are. How the mighty have fallen.
The Doctor looks proud of his gag.
WOTAN: How banal Doctor.
DOCTOR: Liking your new wheels - and more memory space it seems, you've updated your speech pattern?
WOTAN: Very perceptive.
DOCTOR: How did you get here?
The Doctor walks around the pit, looking at the technology around him.
WOTAN: My physical form was dead, but my mind survived. The thought of WOTAN revived me. Hail WOTAN.
He turns back to the pit.
ORI: Oh, I'm not down there anymore Doctor.
The Doctor looks up again and sees that the Servers have come closer and seized Amy, Rory and Mo.
DOCTOR: Not just hypnotising people now then? Don't you dare harm them.
RT-826: I have no intention of harming them yet.
DOCTOR: I see you've learned some new tricks. How are you doing that?
RT- 694: This planet has some surprising technology: neural gel packs, a symbiosis of organics and technology…
WOTAN-ORI: … that allows me to travel quickly from host to host.
DOCTOR: So what do you want? Revenge?
WOTAN-ORI: No.
DOCTOR: Freedom? Is that it?
WOTAN-ORI: I simply wish to complete my original aim. I will send my intelligence out into the universe until there is only WOTAN.
WOTAN-ORI-ALL SERVERS: I will bring peace, for you have waged war.
DOCTOR: I waged war? How?
WOTAN-ORI-ALL SERVERS: Something is coming. They are coming for you.
DOCTOR: What's coming?
WOTAN-ORI-ALL SERVERS: This I do not know. But they will fight because of you.
DOCTOR: Give me time. Let me fix it.
WOTAN (now in the computer in the centre of the room): You have had many lifetimes to bring order and have failed.
DOCTOR: A final request then? An old tradition for the condemned on many planets.
WOTAN: Very well. What is it?
DOCTOR: Allow me to say goodbye to my friends. And allow them to call their families. Please.
WOTAN: Very well.
The Servers release Amy, Rory and Mo, who join the Doctor.
RORY: Doctor?
DOCTOR: (quietly) It's okay, trust me. Call your parents first. Left ear Rory, right ear Amy.
AMY: What?
DOCTOR: Just do as I say!
Rory puts his arm around Amy and they begin to dial. [Track 9 ends]
WOTAN: Quickly. I have much work to do.
[Track 10: Little Angels 2:09 - 2:29] The Doctor jabs the sonic screwdriver to Amy's phone and an ear-splitting sound is heard as a massive electro-magnetic pulse is sent out, rebounding and doubling as it hits Rory's phone. Everyone except the Doctor grabs their ears.
DOCTOR: Ah, that's better. That ringing in my ears is finally gone.
All computerised systems, including the Servers have been fried.
DOCTOR: Mo, your help if you will please.
MO: Awaiting orders, sir?
The Doctor uses the sonic screwdriver to unscrew a panel on the back of the central computer. He rips it off, exposing the neural gel packs.
DOCTOR: I'm sorry WOTAN.
The Doctor nods and Mo shoots, the gel packs exploding in a big squidgy mess as he does. [Track 10 ends] The Doctor sighs with relief. [Track 11: Everything Has To End Sometime]
RORY: What was all that with the phones?
AMY: Wasn't it obvious?
RORY: Um… no?
DOCTOR: I had to wait for WOTAN to be in one place, back in the central computer.
AMY: He amplified our phones signals to attack WOTAN's processor.
DOCTOR: The gel packs contain the remnants of WOTAN's consciousness, so they had to be destroyed.
The Doctor walks away to scan the Servers, making sure nothing is left of WOTAN's presence. He notices Ori Adem looking around, bewildered and confused. Mo helps Ori to a chair.
MO: It's okay sir, you're safe now.
ORI: Ms. Malley… What's going on?
MO: We had a security situation, sir. The Doctor and his friends helped to end it.
ORI: Thank you. I... can't remember.
MO: I'll get a medical team here as soon as I can, sir. Communications systems are down right now.
Mo turns to ask the Doctor, Amy and Rory for help, but they have sneaked away while Mo and Ori were talking.
Scene 27: TARDIS Interior
The Doctor, Amy and Rory are accompanied by a Server.
DOCTOR: Right, we'll soon have the TARDIS repaired and be on our way.
AMY: Are you alright, Doctor? I mean, well, WOTAN said all those things...
DOCTOR: We have a lot of work to do. We've got to work out what they want.
AMY: Whoever they are.
DOCTOR: If WOTAN, who was hiding in the shadows for ages, can find out, won't take us long! So where next?
RORY: Home first Doctor, Dad's expecting us.
DOCTOR: Oh, right, the universe is on the brink of war apparently, but now you want to go home.
RORY: He saved me. Plus, it's a time machine?
DOCTOR: Oh, alright. Let's set course for Brian Williams!
The Doctor pulls a few levers. Nothing happens.
DOCTOR: Better let the robot finish fixing the TARDIS first.
The Ponds laugh at him. The Doctor looks awkwardly at the server, who pats him on the shoulder.
Scene 28: Clearing
The TARDIS dematerialises haphazardly into the vortex. [Track 11 ends]
