Scene 1: Hills
[Track 1: Wedded Bliss 0:00 - 0:45] It is quiet and peaceful in the countryside. The sky is shining brightly, with little clouds.

Scene 2: Forest Path

A man walks along with a small pug. He picks up a stick and throws it. The pug chases it and picks it up, running back to his owner. Kevin strokes him.

KEVIN: Good boy! Yes, you are! Yes, you are!

They walk along, beaming happily. They see a pond and walk towards it. He greets another couple briefly passing them.

CUT TO:

Scene 3: Forest Lake
He sits on a bench, watching the lake, peacefully. The pug chases a duck into the water, falling in. Kevin jumps up and runs over to the lake, picking his dog up and setting him down.

KEVIN: What are you doing? You can't swim!

Kevin sighs. The pug shakes off the water, spraying Kevin.

KEVIN: Oh, Alfie!

He laughs, but then stops when he looks into the water, which is vibrating. In the reflection, he sees something shooting down from the sky.

KEVIN: Run!

Kevin runs off, and Alfie follows him. The mysterious thing dives into the water, creating a wave of water thrown over them.

KEVIN: What was...what was that?

He looks at the water, now completely still - not even a single ripple. Something emerges from the unstirring water - Someone in a robotic suit, masked and threatening. [Track 1 ends]

KEVIN: What the hell?

Kevin grabs Alfie and runs off, terrified. The ominous figure raises his hand and fires a wave of white energy towards the two. They slow down and eventually freeze.

ROLL TITLES

Scene 4: Village Square
[Track 2: The Pandorica] The TARDIS materialises. The Doctor looks out to a parade of shops in an old English village.

DOCTOR: Back on Earth!

RORY (oc): Took you a few tries.

Rory, dressed in denim jeans and a black leather coat walks out, followed by Amy, who zips up her handbag, matching the colour of her long, mud-stained coat.

DOCTOR: Oi, you wanted to see your dad, not me.

RORY: This isn't Gloucester.

AMY: I don't think we're even in Gloucestershire.

DOCTOR: No, I'd say...Norwich.

RORY: Oh, great.

DOCTOR: You want to have a go at driving?

RORY: Well, we should go find a train station. It'll probably take about five hours, but oh, well.

AMY: The Doctor can probably have another go.

DOCTOR: Actually, no. I'm going to have a little wander first, it's nice here. We don't get many breaks, do we?

AMY: ...I'll stick with you.

RORY: Alright, you enjoy your day trip and come pick me up when you can - which for you will probably be ten years.

Rory walks off.

AMY: Okay, small cosy English town. Why are we really here?

DOCTOR: I've got small temporal fluctuations from somewhere in the vicinity of this village. However, I've got something to detect it.

The Doctor walks back into the TARDIS. Amy waits by the box, listening to the crashing and banging of the Doctor rummaging through his belongings. He walks out with a large, steampunky-styled metal detector, with tubes wrapped around him.

DOCTOR: Alright, let's see if it works!

The Doctor switches it on.

DOCTOR: Now we're in business!

It sparks, attracting the attention of a few of the locals.

DOCTOR: ...Almost.

A policeman walks over.

DOCTOR: Ah, hello...Officer!

OFFICER: What do you think you're doing?

DOCTOR: Uh, it's an experiment. Hang on, give me a second…

The Doctor searches his pockets, with the large device sprawled around him.

DOCTOR: ...I'm sure my credentials are...somewhere.

The policeman looks unimpressed at him.

AMY: Sorry.

Amy smiles awkwardly.

Scene 5: Forest Lake
The water is still frozen. Suddenly, it starts to vibrate again.

Scene 6: Village Square
The Doctor keels over.

AMY: Doctor? Are you okay?

OFFICER: Excuse me, sir. Does he often do this?

AMY: Doctor!

DOCTOR: Something's...wrong! That way!

The Doctor points northwest.

AMY: What is that way?

OFFICER: I don't know. Look, should we get him to a hospital? You said he was a doctor, is he a doctor of medicine?

AMY: Probably, but no hospital. Doctor, what is it, what's wrong?

DOCTOR: Underneath…

AMY: Underneath what?

The Doctor lies motionless on the floor.

OFFICER: Okay, I'll get my car, we'll get him to a hospital - You'd better put your "experiment away".

A dish on the Doctor's device starts to whirr away, spinning round violently.

AMY: It's starting to work!

Suddenly, there is a big flash of light, engulfing the entire planet.

Scene 7: Station
Rory wakes up, and everyone is on the floor. Some people have fallen onto the tracks. He looks up at the train schedule, where the next train is DUE.

RORY: Oh, no. Hey, hey wake up!

Rory jumps down onto the tracks, shaking people awake.

CIVILIAN: Huh…? What's...what's going on?

RORY: Listen, you need to get up to the platform now.

CIVILIAN: Oh, my god! How did I end up down here?

RORY: Not now!

Rory pushes the civilian away and starts to help the others up. A train engineer runs out.

ENGINEER: Everyone, get back! The train is out of control, we can't reach the driver!

Rory looks at the tunnel in despair, then down to the rest of the civilians. As the last woman is helped up, Rory dives to the side throwing himself against a lever as the train smashes into the platform, scraping the grey concrete away, sparks flying everywhere. The train starts to fall on its side, being stopped by the other platform, but still starting to crumble down onto the rails, smoke billowing out of the windows. [Track 2 ends] Rory looks up, crawling back from the wreckage and brushing the dust off him. [Track 3: Beneath Stonehenge 0:00 - 2:20]

RORY: Oh, no.

Rory runs over to the settling stone platform, being helped up.

RORY: Is everyone alright?

CIVILIAN: I think so. Thank you. If you weren't here, I can't imagine what would've happened.

Rory turns to the others.

RORY: Listen, if you're hurt, just wait there. I've got to get inside the train, there might be others who need help desperately.

ENGINEER: It's not your job.

RORY: I'm a nurse. It is my job to help people.

Rory runs over to the train, jumping over the narrow gap and landing on the metal wall of the train. The train creaks and Rory steadies himself. He clambers over to the doors.

RORY: I doubt that the mechanism can open it now.

Rory looks through a window and sees a passenger behind it. He gestures for them to open the window, and she struggles to do so, but eventually does.

Scene 8: Train
He climbs inside and lands on the rubble of the train. The car creaks, rocking back and forth. The passengers all give worried cries. He takes a rock and smashes through the window that he just climbed through.

RORY: Right, anyone who can stand, I need you to help those who can't outside of the train. I'll be back in a moment.

Rory scrambles through the train, ducking under small beams and live wires. He reaches the front of the train.

RORY: Hey! Are you okay?

Rory gets a metal rod and uses it as a lever to pry open the doors. He looks inside.

RORY: What the hell…?

The compartment is wrecked - except for a small spherical area surrounding the driver, who is illuminated in a faint white glow. Rory approaches him, stepping over the metal scraps.

RORY: Hello?

He waves a hand in front of the driver, then clicks his fingers. He claps.

RORY: That's weird...What's happened to...you…? Oh, no.

Rory picks up the chest unit of a Cyberman.

RORY: That can't be good. I know who this belongs to.

He shakes the driver, then walks back.

RORY: I need to call Amy and the Doctor.

Rory takes out his phone, then notices:
NO SERVICE.
Rory gives a look of bewilderment.

RORY: What is going on here? If this is an invasion, this is a weird way of going about it. Crashing trains - and my phone never loses service. Okay, no Amy or the Doctor. I've still got people to help. I can work this guy out later...If the train doesn't rip itself apart.

He turns back, trying to reopen the doors, but as he does, a ceiling panel bursts open. Pipes and shards of glass fall onto his head, dropping down to the floor. He groans, his head throbbing, his vision going blurry and dark-

Scene 9: Village Square
Amy is in the Doctor's face as he awakes.

DOCTOR: ...Eh? What's happened?

AMY: I don't understand.

The police officer is helping other people up.

DOCTOR: Amelia, what's wrong?

AMY: Doctor, you're...you're older.

Amy takes out a hand mirror from her bag and shows it to the Doctor. He sees himself, but his hair greyer and his skin sagging.

DOCTOR: How…? TARDIS, quickly.

Amy helps the Doctor up, taking off the burnt device. She holds him as he stumbles back to the TARDIS.

AMY: Oh, it's so cold now…

The Doctor pushes open the TARDIS doors. The interior is gone - just the police box walls remain.

DOCTOR: What? No, no, no!

AMY: Where's the TARDIS?

DOCTOR: I don't...Oh! I missed it!

The Doctor leans against the door frame and looks up.

DOCTOR: I thought so. Look at the sky.

AMY: What's happening to the sky?

DOCTOR: Nothing. And that's the point.

Amy notices - the Sun is still - not burning - there is no wind affecting the leaves of the trees - the clouds aren't moving. The water fountain in the middle of the square has stopped, whilst flowing.

AMY: I'm not sure I understand.

DOCTOR: I think I do. Someone's caught the Earth in a time field. Any natural elements of the Earth have been frozen. And that includes…

AMY: The Sun.

DOCTOR: The Sun is outside the time field. If we don't fix it fast, everyone will freeze to death.

AMY: But what's it got to do with you?

DOCTOR: I'm not a native to this planet - I've had lots of exposure to the time vortex - my biological clock has accelerated. If we reverse the effects, everything should go back to normal. You've had less exposure, there shouldn't be as much of an effect as it's had on me.

[Track 3 ends]

AMY: And how do we do that?

DOCTOR: We need to find the source of this.

AMY: You mentioned something that way just before all this happened.

DOCTOR: Then we need to head that way now.

The Doctor starts to walk off, but trips.

AMY: You can't go - I can.

DOCTOR: No, no.

AMY: Wait here.

Amy walks over to the police officer.

AMY: Hiya, could I get some maps please?

OFFICER: Look, can't you see I'm busy?

AMY: My friend thinks that the big flash of light came from over that way. I need to find out what's there.

OFFICER: Right. But you're not going anywhere without us. Your friend, how did…?

AMY: I don't know. But we're going to find out.

OFFICER: There's some in the boot of the car, my partner will take you.

Amy is led by another police officer to the police car. They open the boot and find some paper maps.

AMY: Awesome, thanks.

Amy runs back to the Doctor.

AMY: Here.

DOCTOR: Okay, so where are we? Ah, there.

The Doctor points to an area on the map.

DOCTOR: I pointed that way, that's...Northwest.

The Doctor moves his hand along the map.

DOCTOR: It's quite far, but...There. Somewhere in those woods.

The Doctor looks at the woods.

AMY: That's around 2 miles away, how are we getting there?

DOCTOR: We need transport.

AMY: We need to call Rory, too, make sure he's okay.

Amy takes his phone out.

DOCTOR: That won't work, the satellites are out of reach.

AMY: But I thought my phone connects even without satellites.

DOCTOR: The time field has disconnected anything connected outside the time field. Not even the sonic will work.

AMY: He said he'd be at the train station, I'll go get him.

DOCTOR: Be careful.

AMY: I don't want you going to the woods alone, alright?

DOCTOR: Eh, what's scary about the woods? Heh, heh…

Amy runs off, worried.

Scene 10: Station
[Track 4: This is the Dream 0:00 - 1:39] Amy runs in to paramedics helping civilians into ambulances. She walks over to the engineer.

AMY: Oh, my god. What happened?

ENGINEER: The train, the driver lost control.

AMY: Is my husband okay? He's, uh...tall-ish, brown hair, he wore a leather jacket.

ENGINEER: The nurse?

AMY: Yeah, that's him! Where is he, is he alright? Please, tell me.

ENGINEER: I...I don't know. He...he went onto the train.

AMY: Oh, no.

ENGINEER: He wasn't on board when it crashed - he went to help the people inside.

AMY: And he hasn't come out?

ENGINEER: Not that I've seen.

AMY: Thank you.

Amy walks off, then sneaks onto the train.

Scene 11: Train
Amy crawls through the broken train, shouting Rory's name, reaching the front car. She smashes the window, climbing through and seeing Rory. She shakes him, and he awakes slowly.

AMY: Rory! Are you okay?

RORY: Oh, my head.

AMY: Thank god, you're okay.

Amy hits Rory.

AMY: What did you think, going in like that, ya numpty?

RORY: Right, sorry...Oh, there was something weird...the driver...

As Rory gets up cautiously, avoiding any more shrapnel that could hurt them, Amy looks at the frozen driver. Rory rubs his head.

RORY: I know my trains, and this is wrong. If the driver passes out or whatever, the dead man's switch activates and stops the train. It pulls a spring which stops the brakes. It wasn't this one guy, then. If it was, they'd have just killed him and stopped the train.

AMY: Someone deliberately wanted this train to crash. For what reason?

RORY: To attract our attention?

AMY: If it is, they've done very well.

RORY: You should take some pictures, show them to the Doctor.

AMY: What about you?

RORY: There are hurt people here, I've got to do my job.

AMY: 'Cos that just worked out well, didn't it?

RORY: I've got to help them, Amy.

AMY: Alright, fine. But don't come back in here, it's dangerous.

RORY: Like I didn't know that.

AMY: Anyway, speaking of the Doctor...something happened. The planet has been caught in a…time field. The planet's stopped moving, or something. And the Sun's not in this time field, so we'll all die of hypothermia if we can't fix it.

RORY: Great, some high stakes.

AMY: But the Doctor...he got affected by this. He's older. I'll take some photos - he might be able to make sense of this.

Amy whips her phone out and takes a few photos of the driver.

RORY: Let's go. I'll lead.

Amy helps Rory through the smashed window, and then follows him. The train settles, as a beam falls slightly, nearly knocking Amy out.

RORY: Careful.

AMY: Says you!

RORY: Right…

Rory reaches the broken window and assists Amy with getting through. The train creaks, slightly rocking.

RORY: It's about to fall over, we've gotta get out now.

AMY: You go first, I'm right behind you.

Rory rests his hands on the metal wall, pulling himself up, then reaching down for Amy. She grabs his hand and climbs out.

Scene 12: Station
The couple both jump back onto the platform as the train falls, smashing back into the gravel and the rails. [Track 4 ends]

AMY: You okay?

RORY: Yeah, you?

AMY: Okay.

RORY: I'll stay here, help the others.

AMY: If you have to, but don't go back inside.

RORY: Good luck.

AMY: You too. See you back at the TARDIS.

[Track 5: A Troubled Man]

Amy runs off.

Scene 13: Village Square
Amy looks around.

AMY: Doctor? Oh, no. No, no, no!

Amy runs off.

Scene 14: Forest Path
The Doctor stumbles along the forest path. However, he starts to look more like his normal self, and his walking pattern is becoming more stable.

DOCTOR: ...Right.

He turns and sees the lake, and notices that it is moving slightly.

DOCTOR: Gotcha!

He walks towards it, noticing Kevin and the pug.

DOCTOR: Oh, not good. Very not good. I'm sorry. If you can hear me, you must be scared. But please, don't be. I'm going to sort out what's happening. I'll save everyone, including you, alright?

He takes off his tweed jacket and throws it onto the floor.

DOCTOR: Come on, then! You know who I am, you must do. Anyone who invades the Earth should do, otherwise they haven't done their research. What are you going to do?

The water parts, leading to a strange, cylindrical pod. The Doctor climbs down the soggy stone bank towards the pod.

DOCTOR: Geronimo.

He straightens his bowtie and opens the door.

Scene 15: Time Control Unit
The Doctor walks in, his appearance becoming younger and more like how it's supposed to be. The pod is bigger on the inside - like a TARDIS. The masked figure works at a control panel - turning knobs and pressing buttons.

DOCTOR: Thanks for the invite. Nice to be outside of the Time Field now. Oh, very nice. Time Lord technology. How'd you get hold of this, then?

?: By owning it.

The figure turns around and takes off his mask - he looks human.

DOCTOR: What's up with the mask, then?

?: To control my technology.

DOCTOR: But your technology...No...you can't be. But how did you survive?

?: My TARDIS fell out of time during the War. When I returned to this universe, Gallifrey was gone. Because of you. You destroyed our homeworld, Doctor. Now I will destroy what you call home. I will bring chaos to this planet. It has already started. The train station - there was a time fluctuation there - I froze the driver and caused the train to crash.

DOCTOR: What's your name?

?: I have no name. Not anymore. My name belonged with Gallifrey - and now it's gone. But if I was once a Time Lord, then you may call me the Time Tyrant.

DOCTOR: Bit excessive, isn't it? Ooh, the Time Tyrant.

The Time Tyrant shoots a small wave of white light at the Doctor.

TIME TYRANT: I would advise you not to mock me. I have the strength to age you to death within a second, like the Earth.

DOCTOR: Like the...Oh...Oh, no. It's much worse.

TIME TYRANT: Exactly.

DOCTOR: You've not just caught the planet in a time field - it's clock has slowed compared to the rest of the Universe.

TIME TYRANT: Half a millenia has passed for the rest of the Universe, whilst this insignificant rock has stayed still.

DOCTOR: You can stop this right now. Stop messing with time now!

TIME TYRANT: Mm, no.

DOCTOR: Then you shouldn't have brought me in here.

The Doctor brandishes the sonic, pointing it at the controls.

DOCTOR: I'll reverse the polarity of all your little schemes. Those people you've frozen, the planet's time, it'll all go back to normal.

TIME TYRANT: Oh, Doctor. You still don't get it, do you?

DOCTOR: What?

TIME TYRANT: The ol' "reversing the polarity" trick? How stupid do you think I am? I didn't just stop the train for fun, no. That was also a test of my powers. There are places elsewhere that will have disasters if you reverse it. Plane crashes, manufactured hurricanes, you name it. They'll all be down to you.

[Track 5 ends]
The Doctor looks distraught.

Scene 16: Forest Path
Amy runs through the woods, looking about. She comes to the lake and sees the frozen man.

AMY: Oh, no.

Amy runs towards the lake.

Scene 17: Time Control Unit
The Doctor looks at the sonic, then back at the Time Tyrant.

TIME TYRANT: Well then, Doctor. What will it be? You don't have long to decide. Whatever you choose, those disasters will happen, even if the world is still frozen.

DOCTOR: I...I have no choice.

TIME TYRANT: Then do it.

The Time Tyrant steps over to the controls by the doors, with his hand hovering over a button, facing towards the Doctor.

TIME TYRANT: I'm ready.

Suddenly, he falls forward. Amy is holding a large stick, which she has clearly hit him over the head with.

DOCTOR: Good work, Pond! If a little violent…

AMY: I told you to stay in the village!

DOCTOR: Well, I got bored. I heard about the train, Rory okay?

AMY: Just about. You're looking better too.

Amy looks down at the Time Tyrant. [Track 6: Dinosaurs on a Spaceship / Pterodactyls 0:41 - 1:44]

AMY: Who's this creepy dude?

DOCTOR: Vengeful Time Lord. I'm not the last one, it seems. But he wants to destroy Earth.

AMY: Plan?

DOCTOR: We don't have long, the Time Tyrant's got disasters in stasis, ready to strike at the same time.

The Doctor runs over to the controls by the Time Tyrant.

DOCTOR: Come over here, help me.

Amy runs over to the Doctor.

DOCTOR: I need help, here's a world map. The red circles are where these disasters are.

The Doctor takes Amy's hands and puts them on a joystick.

DOCTOR: When I tell you a continent, I want you to move to one of those circles, tell me the co-ordinates, and we'll fix it.

AMY: Got it.

DOCTOR: Okay, we've got 2 in Europe!

Amy moves the joystick over to one of the red circles.

AMY: 65.29, -18.25, Iceland. There's going to be an earthquake.

DOCTOR: Is it ready?

AMY: Yep!

The Doctor presses a button, and the room shakes.

Scene 18: Iceland Plains
The ground starts to vibrate. Ice starts to crumble into the water beneath. Suddenly, the ice starts to reform, being lifted out of the water and freezing.

Scene 19: Time Control Unit
The Doctor flicks a few switches.

DOCTOR: Normally, I wouldn't stop an earthquake, but if it's not meant to be, then I will!

AMY: There's one in...Russia...An avalanche!

DOCTOR: Co-ordinates?

AMY: Uh…

Amy moves the joystick.

DOCTOR: Come on, Pond! We don't have much time!Pw

AMY: 74.34, 99.16!

The Doctor presses a button.

DOCTOR: 1 in Asia!

AMY: Hurricane on the coast of India!

They both work at the controls.

DOCTOR: Africa!

AMY: Sandstorm in the Sahara!

The Doctor presses a button.

CUT TO:

Amy moves the joystick.

AMY: Plane crash in the Red Sea!

CUT TO:

The Doctor looks nervously and impatiently at Amy,

AMY: Wildfire in California!

CUT TO:

AMY: Atomic bomb in the North Sea?!

The Doctor flicks a few switches.

CUT TO:

Amy is shocked.

AMY: Vesuvius is going to erupt!

The Doctor slams his hand down on a button. [Track 6 ends]

CUT TO BLACK:

[Track 7: Our Little Town's Protector] The Time Tyrant wakes up. The Doctor and Amy are standing over him.

DOCTOR: You're awake at last.

AMY: The world's reversed. The 500 years that we missed? All gone.

TIME TYRANT: No...no! No, this is my revenge! You ripped the Homeworld apart! You committed genocide!

DOCTOR: And you tried to do it to billions of others. What I did that day was not okay. So I will not let anyone else do it.

TIME TYRANT: You hypocrite. What will you do to me now? Kill me?

DOCTOR: You're not listening, are you? Murder is wrong. Instead, I'm going to do the same thing I did to a few other Time Lords. I've made an adjustment or two.

The Doctor gestures for Amy to walk out the TARDIS, and as she does, the Time Tyrant realises - he's tied up.

DOCTOR: It seems your navigational systems are a bit faulty. Oh, and good luck trying to land without this.

The Doctor turns a dial, then presses a button, and the materialisation circuit ejects. The TARDIS haphazardly starts to take off.

TIME TYRANT: Doctor! Remember this! I am not the only one! Spread across Earth's history! They will get their revenge! They will avenge me! Hail the Elite!

The Doctor runs out.

Scene 20: Forest Lake
The pod disappears, and the water fills the gap. The Doctor looks in awe.

DOCTOR: What did he just say?

He looks at Amy in disbelief. Kevin looks around.

KEVIN: Hey...what's going on?

Kevin looks confused.

Scene 21: Village Square
The Doctor and Amy sit by the water fountain, enjoying the rushing water and the breeze of the wind. Rory runs over.

RORY: Hey. Did I miss anything?

DOCTOR: We've got to go back.

RORY: Back? Back where?

DOCTOR: The past.

AMY: Do you think there are more Time Lords?

DOCTOR: Possibly, but there's something the Time Tyrant said that doesn't make sense to me. He said "they will get their revenge". Not "we", "they". Who are they? I think other species are fighting Earth. We've got an intergalactic war on our hands. And we've got to stop them. Come on - the TARDIS. I think we're going to be very busy.

RORY: Do we have time to go home first?

DOCTOR: Oh, alright! But hurry up!

They all run back to the TARDIS. It dematerialises. But from the sky, it is clear that something is watching them.
