OOOOOOOOOO

Jenni cursed under her breath as she read the instructions on the box before her. She had felt funny for several days since breaking up with her ex. It was her father's idea to do this. His demand for her to do it. He'd even provided the money to get it out of the way so that more decisions could be made.

He still slut shames me even though it wasn't my fault, Jenni thought, trying to fight back tears. Why did I give into that bastard? Why didn't I say no? I wouldn't be in this predicament if it wasn't for him forcing himself on me. Now my own father is making me take a freaking pee test! This isn't fair!

Jenni's eyes smarted with tears. She'd been abandoned by her ex when he got tired of forcing himself on her. She'd been willing to wait a month or two before giving herself to him, but he didn't give her the option. He'd wanted sex since the moment that they had their second date. She'd been too scared to say no. She was always too scared to say no.

What about Elias? Jenni thought, glancing at the bathroom door that separated her from her boyfriend of a couple weeks. What's he going to do or say when he finds out that I may be carrying the bastard's baby? I can't lose him.

Elias, he'd been her best friend for years. She had had a crush on him when she was in the minor leagues and they'd chatted for a bit online before exchanging phone numbers. He'd gotten in touch with her when she was tossed aside by her ex and had taken her under his wing. She never looked back – or hadn't planned to before she realized that her period was very late. She hadn't told Elias, hadn't wanted to believe something like this was true, but her father knew and he'd forced her to buy a pregnancy test to settle the matter.

Jenni jumped when she heard someone knock on the door to the bathroom.

"Jenni," Elias' voice called through the door. "Are you okay?"

"Um, yeah?" Jenni lied, clutching the pregnancy test to her chest. "Just – just doing some things."

"Like what?" Elias asked.

"Um…"

"Come on, Jenni, you don't have to be nervous," Elias called out. "If you needed me time, I could have let you have the bedroom."

A nervous laugh passed through Jenni's lips. "Like I could do me time right now…"

"What's wrong, hon?"

Jenni sighed and looked down. "I can't…I can't pee on the damn stick…"

Elias was silent for a moment. "Are you – are you taking a pregnancy test?"

The Diva ran a hand through her blue hair. "Y-yeah…"

"Jenni…" Elias sighed. "We haven't…If you are, it'd be his, right?"

"Y-yeah…" She sniffled. "I'm sorry, Elias. I'm so scared."

Elias popped open the door and came into the bathroom. Jenni ducked her head, unable to look in his eyes. He put his hands on her hips and looked down at her.

"Hey," he said gently. "Jenni, look at me."

"No," Jenni mumbled, pouting.

"Come on, it's not that bad." He squeezed her hips. "We're still good and we'll remain good. Trust me."

"Of course, I trust you, but this is bad. I don't know how you can even bear to look at me. I mean, I could be carrying that monster's baby. Because I was stupid enough to let him touch me." She closed her eyes. "I'd understand if you wanted to break up with me. Especially if the test proves that he seeded something in me."

"Hell no," Elias said, shaking his head. "I'm not about to abandon you because some fuckboy decided that he was going to force himself on you and then walk away. We're in this together." He tilted her chin up so that he could look her in the eye. "You know I've always wanted children, right?"

Jenni sniffled and nodded.

"Well, we can leave your ex out of the picture completely. I'll be the father. And we'll raise the baby in a loving family. We'll be together forever."

Jenni looked at him with watery eyes. The first of the tears fell down her cheeks. This time, they weren't sad tears, but happy ones. She jumped up onto her toes and wrapped her arms around his neck, placing gentle kisses to his face. Elias held her close and lifted her up, spinning her around in a full circle.

"Thank you, hon," Jenni whispered, looking into his eyes. "Thank you for being amazing." She wiggled her feet. "But if we're going to do this, I need one thing to happen."

"What?" Elias asked.

"You need to leave so I can pee," Jenni pointed out with a small smile. "I really have to go now and you're not allowed to be in here while I go."

Elias laughed and set her down on her feet. "All right, all right. I'll go." He pressed a kiss to her forehead and then turned, heading out of the bathroom. He closed the door. "I'll be right out here if you need me."

Jenni sighed and looked over the instructions again. She hated this. She hated that she was putting Elias through this when he definitely didn't deserve it. There was no denying that he would make a great father to any child. But did she really want to bring a child of a fuckboy into the world? Wouldn't she forever be reminded of the pain that came with the creation of the child?

I'm jumping ahead of myself…I don't even know if there IS a baby developing inside of me. So I shouldn't worry too much. Right? Right. I can do this.

Jenni sat down on the toilet and did what she had to do. She laid the test down when she was finished and washed her hands, telling herself to breathe. A timer was set. Jenni leaned against the wall and knocked twice on the door. Then once more.

"You ready for me?" Elias called through the door.

"Yeah, hon." Jenni said, a small smile gracing her lips.

Elias poked his head in the door and Jenni almost laughed when she saw him peeking through his fingers at her. He smiled at her and lowered his hand. Jenni leaned her head against his shoulder when he wrapped his arm around her. Elias gestured at the stick laying on the counter.

"When do we get to know the results?" he asked.

"When the timer goes off and we look at it," Jenni said, staring at the side of the stick. "Then we figure out what to do next…which is probably a doctors appointment to make sure that this isn't a false positive."

Elias nodded and pressed a kiss to her temple. Jenni sighed and looked at the timer on her phone. This was the agonizing part. The waiting for the timer to go off and give her the answers she sought. She lowered her phone when the timer beeped and took a slow breath.

"Do you want me to look at it?" Elias asked, squeezing her gently.

"I don't think I can," Jenni admitted. "I should. But I don't think I can."

Elias reached out and picked the test up. He sighed and tossed it in the trash. "Well, that's that."

"What? What did it say?" Jenni demanded, looking at him with wide eyes.

"Ms. Kore, I'm afraid that the test results have come back," Elias said, speaking like he would if he was in front of the WWE Universe. "And the tests have come back that you, Jenni Anne Kore, are…not pregnant."

Jenni let out a cheer and jumped on him, throwing her arms around his neck. "Yes! I'm not pregnant by Satan's Spawn! I am so happy!"

Elias smiled back at her and pressed light kisses to her cheeks, her nose, her lips. Jenni kissed him gently and looked into his eyes, hers swimming with tears. Elias smiled at her and squeezed her.

"This means we can go forward with our lives," Elias said, swaying with her in his arms. "We can date and wrestle for a bit more. Then when it's time – if we so choose – we can start making plans to have a baby. But only when we both agree on it."

Jenni was practically beaming. "Have I told you how much I love you today? Because I really love you." She wiggled her feet. "Like really, really, really love you."

Elias pressed a kiss to her lips. "I love you too, cupcake."
