She's just walking along the streets like some kind of loser.

Moping around and staring with that distant look in her eyes.

"What the hell did that shrimpy little fucker do this time?" I growl, noticing Lisa look up at where said shrimp and his can are hopping around like idiots. She's got that distant aura on her again, like she is after anytime she's feeling sorry after a fight.

"What're we lookin' at?" Ricky asks, looking over the crowd. I shove him back from where I'm kneeling on the edge of one of the buildings.

"I'm looking at that piece of shit little alchemist who made my weak little light upset again. And I had nothing to do with it this time." I huff unhappily and cross my arms. "Alright guys, chill up here, the higher beings need'ta chat."

I hop down from the roof and land in front of where Lisa is walking-well, shambling really. Now that I'm not a whole building's distance above her, I can see bags under her eyes and the dead look on her face. She hasn't even noticed I'm standing in her way. God, what are these people doing to her?

"Bet you're real mad at me now, right?" She says quietly and I nearly respond, surprised she actually HAD noticed me, when she sighs tiredly and shakes her head. Oh, that was supposed to be to me but not TO me.

"Should I be?" I ask, frowning a bit.

It takes a moment, but her eyes widen and her head snaps up in surprise.

"Wh-wait.. Lillian, is it… You're..." She smiles wearily and chuckles like she's about to faint. "What, things got boring for you so you had to come bother me?"

My frown deepens and I tap my foot. "I haven't seen you this bad since… well, I've never seen you at this level, but it hasn't been anywhere near this bad since…" She's still a bit sore about that and she's bad enough as it is at the moment, it would seem. I glance away and sigh. "So what'd he do now?"

"What're you talking about?" She asks and tilts her head in confusion, standing up a little straighter.

For fuck's sake.

"The midget." I nearly scoff and narrow my eyes at her. "He's obviously done something to upset you again. What happened?"

Her whole body seems to slump as she looks down sadly. "I just… I did something stu-"

"I didn't ask what you did." I snap. She winces. "I asked what he did."

"A lot has happened since I last saw you." She mutters quietly, looking down and to the side, guilt obvious on her face.

"Oh for the love of fuck, he's got you blaming yourself for it?" I throw my hands up. "Well ain't that just fan-fucking-tastic."

"It's not really your problem anyways." I feel my whole body tense as her tone changes. Gone is the meek and beaten down girl. She sounds.. "You decided leaving me on my own to become some.. Gang leader was better!"

She sounds like me

She stands up straighter and glares at me. She's shaking, I can see, but the sudden anger… what has that runt done to her?! What… What did I do to her?

Pushing the slight guilt away, I scoff and glare back at her. "Oh, I'm sorry, do you want me to hold your goddamn hand forever?" The words grate on my throat, but my teeth clench as I step closer to her. "Grow the hell up, Lisa! You need to get your shit together and deal with shit on your own, like a fucking adult!"

She steps back, the shaking more worrisome now, and the look on her face…

"Now ain't the time for you to start making yourself guilty
