It's been two years since Jacqueline Carlyle had left Scarlet Magazine, and since Kat Edison took over.
Everything was apparently going according to plan, Scarlet was still a big magazine when it came to Fashion, Feminism and Big Causes, although maintaining its reputation both Kat and Jane were somewhat stuck professionally.
Kat didn't have enough time to dedicate to Don't Turn Away , which initially was truly her main goal.
As for Jane she was really comfortable, way too comfortable, at Scarlet. And comfortable wasn't necessarily a good thing, as it was proven in the past. To both of them.
She also had some ghosts of her past, regarding her mom, haunting her.
Sutton was still with Richard, happy both personally and professionally. Sutton was by now a big household in the world of fashion, she was still with Oliver but now with major connections, blooming on Instagram being followed by many important names in the Entertainment and Fashion Industry.
Therefore working also as a personal consultant, an important and established Stylist.
All of them were in a happy place, but thriving was the key word… they were definitely not thriving… just doing what was supposed for them to do.
And the girls, all of them, felt something was missing.
But somehow they felt like it was supposed to be that way, life was good , why questioning it, let alone talk with each other about their worries, their deepest concerns.
Of course they were still the biggest friends to one another but not even them knew what was really bothering them to the core, they just had this eerie feeling that something was missing.
Especially Kat and Jane.
