Chapter 9 : succession's crisis & namimori, it's been a while
It's already a few days after Federico wake up from his coma, the doctor will check up on him in the afternoon. Federico's condition may not well yet but the doctor already allow him to exercise a little like walking in the garden or just doing some light warming up so his body won't go stiff. Nono and xanxus paid him visit twice everyday, he's a little unused to this much care especially from his grumoy younger brother but he know that they only worried for him, though xanxus never admit it to his face and he always tease it every single time.
He's hear there will be meeting between alliance and neutral famiglias with vongola from his father, nono. Nono tell him the meeting was from giglionero and if he's well enough he can join him together with xanxus. This afternoon after checkup his father and xanxus visit him together, his father said he want to tell him about something important.
"father ?" said Federico
"hm ?" said nono
"what this meeting about ? and where ?" asked Federico
"about estranao famiglia" said nono
"what the hell those *scum have done ?" asked xanxus
"I don't know much, only the basic. But the giglionero insist for us to come, they said what estranao have done will have alert the vindice but not only to them it may affect the civilians" said nono
"that bad ? I do hear bad rumor about them these past months since our last ecounter to them four years ago but there never be evidence so I thought it's just rumor" said Federico
"there not only rumor, some of them was real and many famiglia or neutral organization request annihilation of estranao to varia, I do slays some of those trash branch" said xanxus
"yes, but we never get evidence to their main famiglia except some connection to the 'matter' four years ago. Though it's not enough to destroy them" said nono
"so the giglionero get evidence of their main branch ?" asked Federico
"most likely" said nono as he hand over the copy print of the giglionero's invitation and the information they sent

"me too, it's been four years since our last ecounter to estranao but we never get the evidence and if the giglionero get it…. I am afraid there will be medium scale mafia war, estranao don't have many branch like we do but they have the technology and their alliance most of it was from north where strong skill fighter from." Said nono
"if it's like that, I am afraid our combat won't be enough father as we had just fight not only two famiglias but also the FBI" said Federico
"not necessary trash, although our combat lower than before we can still fight. Not to mention the giglionero aware of it so there will be much time to prepare fight those scum" said xanxus

"… did you want to select from iemitsu line ? but from what I hear you, didn't you say the eldest lost ?" said Federico

Therefore in ten years from now xanxus, ieyuji, Federico and primo's chosen candidate will enter the ring's conflict" said nono

" ring's conflict ?! but father that's was impossible even if I or xan win, the ring will reject us right ? not to mention ieyuji, primo's choosen candidate is the only one that can wear and use vongola's ring" said Federico
"we don't have any choice, it was primo's will. I have my own consideration in this and since we don't know anything about the choosen heir, we will do as he wish. We will test the choosen candidate in the ring conflict" said nono
" you have another reason, right old man ?" said xanxus
"…. Of course, I already tired of those excecutive board. The function of the excecutive was to help vongola within crisis since settimo time but look like they already forget their purpose and since they didn't listen to me or my guardian and even cause the death of my second son then we don't need them. Even my mother doesn't need them if not for the war II" said nono grimaced

This habit of his similar to his mother, the previous vongola boss. The eight boss of vongola always cause chaos while giggling, it made many people to feel headches everytime she do that. One time when octavo still alive hear what nono cause, she just laugh in her seat without any intention In helping clean or fix this mess. She even want to join if not for her old age.
Even nono's three sons, one after another have this kind habit and it cause major chaos everytime they do their dosis of chaos. At one point, the present sun arcobaleno reborn had join them in their quest. Coyote feel he seems miss those old days where laugh and smile still here in the vongola, he hope the future decimo will bring that smile back here in the vongola, to their families.
At giglionero HQ
In front of giglionero mansion stood a baby in red ceongsam clothing with red pacifier and monkey on his head. The baby look for a while in front of the gate with solemn expression before entering the mansion. When he enter, he see a group of children playing tag. Yuni seem notice the baby gaze at them and come to him with a smile.

This blond boy has such strong not only in flame but also his aura, it made you feel home. It has nice feeling, a feeling that fon didn't felt it in a long time since the death of his sky.

Fon surprise reborn that tight, usually even if reborn isn't easy regarding share information to others but at the very least reborn share the basic of it. Now not even the basic he give, then that's mean this job didn't really mean replace him as the boy's tutor as temporary as it seems. This is a gamble, a very risk gamble. Fon never expected the boy to be vongola's. vongola until now was said to be the strongest flame holders, especially the sky flame users. Their ability to wield and control dying will flames can't be joked of. "you heard me wrong" said fon smiling as the tension start to up, ganma sweat bullet and he glance at his boss. But the said boss only glance at him and smile as if saying, "it's normal"
Ganma can only sweatdrop at his boss reaction in this situation, "e-ehem! I will agree if you take them to wuhan, fon but I want you to take tazaru and carl with you as precaution"
"…. I can only take one, ganma. It's hibari clan teriority after all" said fon
"very well then, take tazaru with you fon" said aria
"boss!" said ganma worried for his son and the princess
"we can't ask more than this. Relax ganma, as long as fon don't tell his clan about the children's information that's enough" said aria
"I already swear after all, as far as I know I don't want to be in the vindicare so you can relax" said fon smiling at them

Fon speaking with aria for a few minutes before seeing the children again with ganma and reborn. Aria stay at the office considering the pile of paperworks waiting for her in her desk. She can only sign while mumble about 'damn evil' 'crazy family' or 'burn it' , people who don't know her usually will piss themselves and ran far away from her. With the children, ganma explain some things before fon continue it and inform them to follow him to china for their training. Tsuna asked why and reborn explain fon had job there and it's not convenient for him to reject the job. Ganma ensure tsuna that they only need to be there for a few weeks maybe one month before they back here.
Tsuna calm down with ganma explanation, ganma order them to prepare now as fon has to go to china as soon as possible so the children followed tsuna to each other rooms to packing their things. After informing the children, reborn back to observe the vongola while ganma helping aria to prepare the meeting. While fon go to his main student room to observe him. When fon arrived in cielo room he can feel a massive sky's flame burst in harmony within the surrounding room. Fon never met such a person. Luce, his former sky was the closest one that can do this but for a child in the boy's age to be able hold this much power, he wonder when this child grow up how powerful can he be ?.
Deep inside he know he will never regret accept reborn's invitation as the boy brimming with talent even when the boy still has illness. Fon start thinking how much training he can do on the boy, he bet it will be interesting. Tomorrow morning at ten fon and the children going to giglionero private airport and go to china, only ganma drive to accompany them as both reborn and aria busy these days due to upcoming meeting. Though the children already say good bye when they in the mansion.
The day of the meeting coming, all neutral famiglia including the strongest vongola come to the meeting. Ganma greet them and lead them all to the meeting room, in the meeting room aria already waiting them with meeting's material in each desk.
"welcome all of you, I am happy that you can come to this meeting in my HQ" said aria
"no at all, we're happy to receive giglionero's invitation too" said Silvio, falcone's famiglia boss (a/n : if you forget he is hayato's father)
"yes, thank you for inviting vongola too, I hope you don't mind my two sons join you" said nono
"not at all, please do sit first" said aria as all the guest start to sit according their rank within mafia
Aria then start explaining why this meeting had to be held as soon as possible, all the famiglias surprise with the news. They know out of all mafia famiglias, estranao was the darkest one but they never expected them to be this deep. Indeed if it be heard by either government or vindice it will become massive war more than war II. Mafia famiglias already accustome with kidnapping and training the child to strengthen its power but to experimenting your own flesh and blood ? that was taboo of the taboo, it can get you into the deepest punishment of vindicare and the eradiaction of famiglia itself. Not to mention those self justice government, they will have reason to capture all of Mafioso, and let's not mention that the estranao famiglia even dare to kidnapped a young member from giglionero's which was crazy beyond idiot. While giglionero not as strong as the vongola, they still one of the oldest famiglia since ancient times as the boss also one of the arcobaleno bearer for two generation and it isn't just a title.
"this is crazy" said representive of gesso (a/n : byakuran not yet full boss, he is still 5 or 6 too young to be boss)
"indeed, donna giglionero from your prespective what should we do ?" asked boss of golemn
"my opinion first to warn their alliance and eradicate all of estranao's branch, it isn't the first time they do this. They already get warning from vindice not to mention their dispute with vongola four years ago" said aria

All of them made the planning, at first they try to warn the famiglias alliance to estranao. Almost eighty percent of estranao's alliance dissagre with the neutral alliance and demand war if they forced their way to them. It made the neutral alliance mad, they eradicate one by one of the estranao alliance before they declare war against estranao. Vongola nono appoint his son xanxus of varia and Federico as xanxus's assintance in commanding the war. Giglionero and gesso aid as their supporter in the front line with other neutral famiglias. The war happened for one month before it's finished, the vindice allowed the war to be happen as the giglionero together with vongola provide evidence of their taboo's doing.
Luckly the war didn't have many casualities within the neutral famiglias, as for the estranao and its alliance the ones who didn't die in the war was caught by the vindicare to be tortured while the ones died the vindicare collected the corpses to be thrown in massive grave in their HQ. Aria cringed at the battle result, because aside casualities from the force between the two alliances, there still victim from civilians and kids. She never expected the famiglias tied to the estranao also doing the same things, there even some victims that worse than the estranao.
They had to relocated these people so they can return to normal life as soon as possible, those whose can't will be recruited by neutral famiglias to be trained as their famiglia's members. It was ironic but these people can't have choice once they entered these world, the most they can do is to continue living in these world. Aria and some famiglia's bosses had try every way they can to return the mafia to light but it's slow process to be happen. At most they can only balance the power and decrease darkest activities within the mafia so there will be fewer victims.
Meanwhile fon took tsuna and the other children to wuhan city to fix his clan problem. Dino join them three days later after tsuna .co arrived at wuhan. At first tsuna and dino was frightened with their duties and want to ran away if not because they see fon's serene smile at them. They help fon relocated wild animals after wild animals into each their own area far away from the villagers or hibari's clan member teority so it won't harm either side. Tsuna at least get help from his two guardians and natsu to lead the wild animals. But dino didn't get any help with byakuran tease or prank him and his own clumsiness, he has some difficulity in leading these wild animals.
(a/n : I don't know now but in the past many village or some clan home in china closed to the forest and they get wild animals come to their area, it was dangerous )
Fon prepare some things like log or metal to made boundary between human area and the forest. After that he train tsuna and the others some chi martial art basics. Out of all children, only tsuna, yuni, and mukuro (though mukuro more in weapon technique than the martial art itself) has a knack in the martial arts. He focus on them as he only teach the others on basic only and their flames control. Fon instead of one month he used two months staying in wuhan before going back to Italy with the children.
Tazaru stay as their chaperon and mostly as tsuna and yuni's bodyguard. Fon also teach him how to strenghthen his body with some movement so he stay agile and not rusty if in cse there some nasty enemies. Aria picked them all from giglionero airport these time, she miss them especially her daughter and nephew. Ganma also miss his son a lot. Silvio, hayato's father also there to bring hayato back home for a while to spend time with him and his sister, bianchi miss her brother before taking him back to giglionero. They go back to their respective home. The next few days fon decide to stay within giglionero as he occasionally take free mission from either the triad or his clan.
Ten years passed since then and now tsuna almost fifteen years old enrolled in mafia school by aria. At first ganma quite worried if not for reborn shooting him for being doting idiot to tsuna before assure by aria these was a neutral mafia school. Tsuna also grown tall but still shortest than most boys his age, his health improve these past years with verde and shamal's help. He still can't get too tired though. In these ten years he get two additional family members too, they are i-pin and lambo. Tsuna adored them a lot like younger siblings enough to made some of his famiglia jealous, like byakuran or hayato. But the others even jealous quite doting on the two of them.
I-pin was orphan whose found by fon three years ago, it said her parents died and her relative sold her to the triad for money. Fon who pity i-pin and amuse by her talent in kempo decide to take her under his tutelage. He paid i-pin debt to the triad and bring her to giglionero. Yuni almost hugged her to death because of cuteness, while lambo was brought by his uncle's request. Lambo's father died on mission while his mother died on childbirth, his uncle already have heirs and couldn't possible raise lambo alone.
Lambo raised by his nanny, after the nanny died of illness lambo didn't have anyone as most of the famiglias member either busy or didn't know how to raise a child, even his cousins has school and training. Not to mention Lambo often snuck out outside, tsuna amazed how he still perfectly fine and don't get kidnapped. When lambo's uncle, the boss of bovino's famiglia hear from falcone's boss there is a young sky in the giglionero famiglia that doesn't have complete element he brought lambo to the HQ as lambo already awaken his lighting flame when he still a baby, aria brought tsuna to met lambo to ensure whether lambo can be his guardian or not.
The result ? it was perfectly tune in harmonise like with hayato and mukuro, so aria take lambo in as tsuna's guardian. The bovino boss ensure aria he will supplies lambo with some of their famiglia weapons and money every year to provide lambo some protection. Aria received the weapon for lambo but not the money. She get the bovino every year to provide lambo with basic nesicities than money. The bovino's boss agree without hestitation and left lambo in the giglionero care.
At first it quite difficult for them to adjust especially with two toodlers but after some times they grow to love the two as younger siblings, not to mention tsuna and yuni or occasionally dino (when he visit the giglionero) spoiled the two toodlers very much if not for reborn to shoot them (tsuna and dino mostly) to keep it to minimum. Now tsuna on rooftop of his school waiting for yuni, he want to tell yuni something.
He first start realise he like yuni more than sibling is one year ago when some idiots try to woo and harm yuni. He's angry of course and beat them worse when he see wound on yuni cheek's. if not for his self control and yuni persuasion those idiots will be in the worsen state than only beating injuries. Since then he's overprotective on yuni to the point aria, his guardian, ken chikusa, even reborn laugh or snicker ( in mukuro and reborn's case).
When byakuran ask ( more like tease him ) how he felt about yuni, did he like yuni more than siblings ? his face immedietly became total red like tomato and all of his family members tease him like crazy even lambo and i-pin (though they don't know the meaning, they just join in teasing), especially reborn with his new tor-tutoring as he put it so that tsuna can protect yuni. His aunt aria even give him scary smile if tsuna didn't cherries yuni as treasure, tsuna really scared of aunt aria at that time. So now he wait here to tell yuni about his feeling and ask her to be his girlfriend.

"did you waiting long, tsu ?" asked yuni
"ah… n-no… I am not" said tsuna
"okay, what do you want to talk about ?" asked yuni while glance little at tsuna
"umm.. well…. I- I want to tell to that I… *gulp… t-that… I- I lo- I love you!" said tsuna as he closed his eyes due his nervous.
"!" yuni's eyes wide open and there's a blush on her cheeks

"…"
'I knew it ! she didn't like me at all !' thought tsuna
"umm… I … I am love you too, t-tsu" said yuni shyly
"!" tsuna open his eyes and immedietly look up at yuni, he couldn't believe yuni accept his confession.
*gulp
"yuni.." said tsuna as he grab yuni's shoulders and his face come near yuni
"…" yuni close her eyes as tsuna's face became very close to her and she felt her lip touch tsuna's lip
Tsuna kiss yuni gently before played his tongue inside yuni's mouth, yuni gasp for air before she moan a little as she melt in tsuna's kiss. Her legs grow weak and she almost fainted if not for tsuna grab her wirst and support her to stand up until he finish. Unknown to them, their friends watching they kissing behind the door.
"kufufu" mukuro just laugh weirdly
"byon!" ken squeck as he see they kissing
"troublesome" said chikusa
"cielo-sama! I am glad for you!" said hayato as he praying while crying
"hufufufu~~ tsu-chan and yuni-chan's ~~" said byakuran as he eat his favorite food
Tsuna continue kissing yuni for ten minutes before he release her from his grip. Yuni legs went very weak as she down sitting in the floor. Her gaze a little daze as her mind still in chaos from tsuna's kissing. Her face blushing madly, she didn't believe it that tsuna kiss her like this. She look up at tsuna a little, tsuna's blond fluffy hair didn't much change these years, his baby face grow a little made him like a handsome cute boy rather than teen he suppose to be. Tsuna look at her, he chukle at yuni's expression. He pinch yuni's cheek a little before he kiss her cheek.
"like what do you see ?" asked tsuna as he smirk at yuni
"umm.." yuni blush became redder than before
"you silly girl, let's stand up first. You look funny like this" said tsuna as he helped yuni to stand up
"!.. le-let go!" said yuni as she stand up suddenly but she miss a step and almost fall down.
"!" tsuna immedietly held her hands to prevent her fall down.
"t-thanks tsu-kun" said yuni still blushing madly.
"your welcome, yuni-chan and thank you for accepting me" said tsuna
"tsu-kun" said yuni
Suddenly…
"hey! Don't push me!" said hayato as he push ken away from him
"byon! What the hell are you doing !" said ken
"shussh~~ ken-chan~ haya-chan~ be quite and please move away a little I want to see them" said byakuran
"who you call haya-chan, you marsmallow freak?!" said hayato
"kufufufu~ ken, can you not step on my feet ?" said mukuro
"sorry! Byon!" said ken as he get away from mukuro
"ken, shut up" said chikusa

"…"
Tsuna and yuni look at the door
"you guys…. Ha… guys~~~What are you doing at the back door there ?~~" said tsuna as he walk close to the door with a smile on his face and dark aura behind him
"!"
When they felt tsuna's dark aura, only one thing in their mind.
'we must get away from here!' thought them all.
"kufufu~~ I will go then~" with that he vanish within the mist
"that bastard! Forgive me cielo-sama!" said hayato as he run away, as much as he respect his sky he doesn't want to be punished for peeking his boss's love confession.
'Hur~hur~" byakuran just laugh and fly away from the scene followed by chikusa who drag ken away before they face one on one with tsuna.
"*sigh… those guys…. Can I have privacy with them ?" said tsuna
"fufufu~ well then, I will go back to my class then. Bye tsu-kun~" said yuni as she go back to her class
Tsuna grab yuni's hand when she near the door and kiss her again before he escort her to her class with her face red like a tomato. When they go home, aria already waiting for them with ganma and fon in the living room.
"dad ?" said tsuna
"mom" said yuni
"ah, you all back" said aria
"something wrong, auntie ?" asked tsuna
"nothing,… it's just… say cielo how about going to japan ? namimori to be precise" said ganma
"! Wha- but why ?" said tsuna
"one year from now there will be succession within vongola, as you all know vongola is one of the most powerful famiglia since their primo time" said aria
"okay, but what's the connection of it with me had go to namimori ?" asked tsuna
"their chosen heir candidates are Federico de vongola, xanxus de vongola and son of CEDEF's boss sawada ieyuji" said aria
"!" tsuna's eyes wide open when he hear that
"mommy that's…" yuni couldn't finish her question as she already know what it's mean
"yes, cielo, I want you to go to japan and intervene the vongola's succession" said aria
"!"
"wa-wait a minutes aria-sama, why should us ? if we doing it, we will only add vongola as our enemy" said hayato
"because cielo also one of the heir candidate" said aria
"what?!" said all of the teens
"ku-kufufufu~ I never expected for you to be one of vongola's blood" said mukuro, clearly amuse with himself.
"me ? but I am- " cielo, it's time for you to take your rightful place and you know that right ?" said aria as she cut tsuna before he speak.
"yes" said tsuna
"don't think too much, for now pack your things okay ?" said aria
"yes, auntie" with that tsuna go to his room, yuni seeing that following him.
When the other teens want to follow him too, aria stop them.
"tsuna will be going only with mukuro and hayato as they are his guardians. As for the others I want you to stay in Italy until the right time and byakuran, you will go back to your famiglia as they need you" said aria
"ehh~~~ must I ?~~" said byakuran as he sulked in the corner while eating masmellow
"ehh, boring byon~~ right kakipi ?" said ken as he whinning he was left behind
"ken, shut up" said chikusa
"kufufu~ well better I prepare then" with that he go back to his own room to packing his things.
"I will check on cielo-sama too, excuse me aria-sama, ganma-sama" said hayato bowing a little to the two of them.
In tsuna's room
"tsu-kun" said yuni as she poke her head
"yuni…" said tsuna still look down on his feets
Yuni go to tsuna and hug him, "you alright ?"
"un"
"do you want to talk about it ?" asked yuni
"I don't know… I am not ready…. Not ready to meet them again.. they throw me away and yet they love my brother dearly…" said tsuna
"…. You know you have us, right ?" said yuni
"I .. I know … but I still- "tsu-kun, I will be always beside you or even if I don't beside you I will always love and support you no matter what, me, mom, uncle ganma and the others will not throw you away" said yuni
"…." Tsuna didn't know how but his tears slid down slowly, he hugged yuni tightly as he bask in her warm. Not long after that tsuna sleep on yuni's shoulders as she pat him to assure him she was with him. Hayato see this scene and stop, he help yuni to put tsuna down and warm him with blanket before they go outside quietly.
"how's him?" asked hayato
"he will be alright, I know it because she have all of us for him" said yuni
"you right" said hayato as he smile
"you really love tsu-kun, I leave tsu-kun to you while in japan hayato-san" said yuni as she smile
"… you can leave him to me, yuni-sama. I will protect him for sure" said hayato as he bowed a little to yuni
The next day after packing all things, cielo and the others prepare themselves to go to japan. They say their goodbye to aria in her office, ganma will drive them to giglionero private airport. Yuni and the others didn't follow as they have school. Ken cry when he said goodbye to mukuro while chikusa was silent the entire time, you will not know what he's thinking if not for his red eyes. Tsuna kiss yuni in her cheek, " take care of yourself, yuni-chan. I will miss you"
"me too, tsu-kun" said yuni
"tsu-chan~~ you will not kiss me ?~~" said byakuran as he whine to tsuna for treating him cold
"no and stop calling me tsu-chan, you-freak" said tsuna
"you are so cold~~ yuni-chan help me~~" said byakuran as he want to hug yuni but tsuna hug her and made byakuran kiss the floor.
"why~~" said byakuran
"don't touch her. Yuni-chan don't let this freak touch you, not even your single hair okay ?" said tsuna
Yuni just giggle at their antic while byakuran crocodile-crying that his tsu-chan don't love him anymore. After long goodbye, hug, and threat here and there, they go. In airport ganma give cielo two things, credit card and his house key, look like aria already prepare a house for tsuna and the others in namimori.
"the house address is in this paper, but you don't have to worry I already have genkishi in namimori so he will be the one who picked you up" said ganma
"okay, dad" said cielo sad he will have to go to namimori and separated from yuni, ganma, and the others in giglionero.
"you will be alright. I will visit you once in a while with boss, princess and others" said ganma as he hug tsuna once last time before he let him board the plane.
"I will miss you, dad" said tsuna as he hug ganma back
"me too, son. Don't be reckless when you there" said ganma
"I won't" said tsuna
"you two too take care of your self" said ganma
" kufufufu"
"yes, ganma-sama" said hayato
They board the plane after that, in plane tsuna couldn't help but thinking of his blood family whether they still remember him or not. In one side he want justice for himself, for the suffering he had with them in the past but in one side he still want tobe aknowledge by them as for no matter what they are his family by blood. Of course it's not like he will be as close as to them like he was to ganma and the other giglionero. For him perhaps the only family in his birth family is only his grandfather, nono. If what auntie aria said about him being vongola's blood then his grandfather was….
A 'gao' disturb his thinking, he see natsu out of his box again, his dad said natsu was strange animal as he have flame as its mane. Lighting arcobaleno, verde made a box weapon based on animal that can get its dying will out, so far only he can only made twelve box animal including natsu. He made the box based on mare ring and arcobaleno's pacifier so it can contain the animal's flames. But to get the animal inside was difficult as animal has distrust in human, but to his surprise natsu get into the box without any restain. Aunt aria said it's because natsu already bonded with tsuna and believe in him that made him easy to enter the box in its own will. After that verde give tsuna seven box for him and his future guardians. He already give two to mukuro and hayato. He look into his small bag behind natsu, aria already instruct tsuna to search the remaining guardians.
he didn't realise when he fall a sleep when thinking about this, he feel something touch his right shoulder and see hayato tap it to wake him as they already arrive at namimori airport. he wake up and rise his arm to loose his stiffness. He smile at hayato for waking him up.
"thanks hayato" said tsuna as he smile
"it's nothing, cielo-sama" said hayato, he blush from tsuna's compliment
Tsuna only smile and stood up, he didn't see mukuro but he know mukuro close to him as he feel mist flame. He and hayato go out of the plane. Tsuna close his eyes in a minutes because of brightness before open it again.
He gaze namimori in nostalgic, "took a long time… namimori, it's been a while"
"cielo-sama"
A man with short black hair and thick eyebrows in butler clothing called for him
"genkishi, it's been while since what months ago ?" asked tsuna
"indeed, two months if I am not wrong. Cielo-sama, a car already prepare please follow me" said genkishi
"thank you for hard work" said tsuna
"no, it's my job after all" said genkishi as he guide tsuna , mukuro and hayato to the car outside.
