"Pie Fight!"

The whole class of 2-C threw their pies at each other, spilling pie fillings on the grass in front of the church. Everyone was having fun with their former classmates, others actively participated in the pie fight, while some only watched and fixed their eyes on their special someone.

Harima was one of these people, fixing his gaze only on Tenma.

"How lucky of Karasuma to have Tenma's attention." he thought.

On the other hand, two women locked their eyes onto Harima.

"This Hige didn't change a bit. Still has his eyes on Tenma." the blonde-haired woman thought.

"Harima-san still likes Nee-san, huh?" This time, the thought was from a red-eyed little sister of a certain someone.

It wasn't long until both women realized that they were both eyeing the same guy for the last 30 seconds. After all, they were both standing beside each other this whole time.

"E-Eri-san?" "Yakumo?!" Both women greeted one another while both being flustered for being caught staring at the guy they liked. But who was to blame them? They have not seen this guy for over a year now. It was normal for them to look at something that was as rare as Harima.

"H-Ha! If you keep staring at Hige like that, he's gonna think you're clingy or something! As an advice from your rival, I suggest you dial it back, so you don't scare him too much. Can't have a rival that's incompetent!" Eri advised Yakumo.

"Right…." Yakumo replied. "Even though you were staring at him as long as I was Eri-san…" She tried to contain these thoughts from escaping through her mouth.

DING!

The sound of the bell attracted the attention of everyone who in the vicinity. Pies stopped flying and lunch has started. The last program until the class said their farewells again.

"Okay, everyone, it's time to dig in!" Tenma said as she clings to Karasuma's arm.

The sight of this further pained Harima. His hope that she would have moved on with Karasuma is snuffed out. He had no more reason to still be there.

"I guess it was too good to be true. At least I got to see you again, Tenma-chan." Harima thought.

He snuck to his motorcycle and took one last glance at the love of his life and drove off into the horizon. The only ones that noticed him leave were the two women who were glancing at him earlier. However, they thought he would just pick up something from the store or go to the bathroom.

"I wonder where he is going" was the thought that both women shared. Little did they know that was the last time they were going to see him for a long time.

Harima spent the rest of his days wandering the United States. He was hopping from state to state, not knowing what he should do for the next chapter of his life, or was he going to live it at all? It was a difficult time for Harima. He needed a guide, he needed a sign, and in one fateful evening, he got a sign.

"Welcome to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The Cream City!" Harima read the sign in front of a diner as he entered it.

He grabbed a newspaper from the counter and sat down in an empty stool.

"The hell? Why am I even grabbing a newspaper if I can't even read English?" he shouted as he threw away the paper. "Ugh, I hate that I'm still thinking of her."

The waiter approached Harima, "Good evening sir, may I take your order?"

"Uhhh, y-yes, K-ken ay Hava burek caps?" Harima said as he struggled to speak English.

"Y-you want to break my knee caps?" The waiter said, as he reached for the phone to call the cops.

Harima only nodded.

Harima spent the rest of the night in the Milwaukee police station.

Harima stepped out of the police station the next morning after settling the misunderstanding with the cops.

"Luckily, they had a half-Japanese officer here to understand what I was saying." Harima sighed as he breathed fresh air of freedom.

As he started to walk to his motorcycle, which the cops returned to him, he notices a familiar sight across the street. There were boys playing basketball across the street.

"I remember playing basketball with Tenma-chan…" he recalls the time where he was roped into playing basketball just because Tenma was interested. Harima wanted to cling to that feeling, and so he joined the boys who were playing in the court.

"Yo, gattrum fo wan mo?" Harima said as the boys looked at him with confusion.
