Tw. Mention of abuse, not bad but still I should probably put a warning.
Amity Golden-Blight stood in front of the mirror fixing her hair. It was long now, just like her husband liked it. Once tied up in the same fashion she had worn since she was fourteen Amity headed to wake her little boy up.
Liam. Sweet little Liam. He was Amity's pride and joy. He had inherited her brown hair and wears it in a messy style.
"Good morning mama!" He said as he hugged his mother good morning.
"Good morning." Amity told her son. "Let's get ready." She watched as Liam picked out his clothes for the day and brought them to her. Like usual it was a frog shirt and jeans. Liam may only be four but he had good fashion taste
"Mama can you put my hair up in all directions like aunt Luz's hair when she was little?" Liam asked.
""How about I just pull your bangs eyes?" Amity said. "We'll do it like Luz's tomorrow."
Luz. Amity's best friend and the girl she has been in love with for fourteen years, but never once said a word. It was too late now. Amity was married to him. Amity started dating him at sixteen and the only Reason she dated him was because she told herself that she needed to be with a boy. After two months and Amity finally figured herself out she was going to break up with him and confess to Luz, but that never happened. He got controlling and threatened to do something to her if she left. Amity got scared and stayed. Over the years he become more abusive. He forced Amity to marry him and forced her to have a kid early so they would have an heir for the family. He yelled and scream at both her and Liam. He had only hit Amity once but she lived in fear that it would happen again.
Amity was still friends with Willow, Gus, and Luz. Her husband tried to get her to cut things off but she never did. She and Luz were really close, the hung out almost everyday. Amity would lie in bed at night wishing she was with Luz instead of him. The reason Amity cried at her wedding was because of grief. Grief for a relationship she could never have.
Many people in Amity's life knew that he was bad for her and multiple people have told her to leave him. Amity would if she could.
"Will you see Luz today?" Liam asked. Besides his frog plush Luz was his best friend.
"Yes I will. We're going to have lunch together and set up for her moms birthday." Amity said.
"Mama?" Liam said.
"Yes sweetie?" Amity answer while making his breakfast.
"I love Luz more then dada." Liam confessed.
Amity sighed. "Me too."
"If you love her then why did you marry dada?" Liam asked.
"It's complicated." Amity explained. We marry someone because we love them and sometimes it doesn't work out. I'll explain more when you're older."
"When I'm eight" Liam asked.
"More like fourteen." Amity said
"Ok you promise?" He asked.
I promise.
While Amity waited for Luz she thought back on what Liam said. She was glad he loved Luz. She was someone he needed in his life.
"Hi Amity how are you doing today?" Luz greeted her friend. In fourteen years Luz hadn't changed much. She still kept her hair in a pixie cut. She had grown taller then Amity.
"I'm good Luz." Amity replied.
"How's my boy?" Luz asked.
"Oh he's good. Still talks non stop. He really loves the frog plush you gave him." Amity said
"I'm glad." Luz smiled. "He reacted with the same face you did when I got you an Otabin plush. He really does look like you."
"I'm super happy he does." Amity said. He will probably be taller then me though."
"What makes you think that?" Luz asked.
"Call it mothers instincts." Amity said.
While at lunch Luz didn't ask about her husband at all which Amity was grateful for. After lunch they went and set up a birthday party for Camila, Luz's mother who is a another strong figure in Amity's life. Amity then went to pick up her boy and bring him back to the party.
"Luz!" He ran toward his best friend.
Luz scoped him up in a hug and spun around. " hey dude it's been awhile!"
"I missed you!" Liam said as Luz put him down.
"I did too buddy." Luz said.
"Oh Eda!" Liam spotted Eda and ran to give her a hug.
Amity was glad that all these good people were in her sons life. People who would love and except him and her. Amity mingled around the party talking to everyone she could. She watched as her son sat on Camila's lap and listened to one of her animal stories. This was one of the times when she was truly happy.
"Luz?" Liam asked.
"Yes?" Luz answered.
When I'm fourteen will you marry my mama?" He asked.
Luz smiled. Sure bud, when you're fourteen I'll marry her."
Liam was happy with that and ran off. Luz smiled sadly after him because she knew that it would probably not be possible.
This idea just randomly showed up in my head. There may be another part, I really don't know.
