A/N: Well, this one gets raunchy. Mile-High club? Mile-high club. Adults only for this chapter, though you can probably skip over that part with a quick scroll. That said, if you're familiar with my work, this likely doesn't come as a surprise.
Having eaten their fill and enjoyed a couple of glasses of wine from the wine list, they were about to settle in when Duo Lon found out that they carried baijiu-a stiff alcohol-which he insisted on everyone trying first. After the wine and the food, this mellowed out the entire group to the point of almost reaching a buzz, though everyone looked like they were in control. As always, the assassin looked as if he barely felt anything.
"Hmm," Whip said, messing with the channels of her entertainment system, feeling very content at the moment. "Why are all of the shows nowadays so...weird?" she chuckled. "No matter what class we're in, it feels like they only pick a few episodes of some of the more outdated ones or...maybe a few recent ones? None of these are any good." She went to the next screen. "Another one with a talking dog? What the hell?"
Adel chuckled. "It's why I rarely watch anything except for music television as background noise, and sometimes historical channels. Or the occasional fight." He would usually end up being disappointed in the competitors' lack of form, however, in a lot of televised bouts not linked to the major King of Fighters tournaments.
"Music usually works for me," Duo Lon said as he grabbed the headphone splitter, throwing a second set to Leona for when she wanted to put them in; the walkway in between the seats was narrow enough that they could share the player via their fairly long wires. At the moment, she was flipping through one of the magazines about their destination, checking out some of the photography. Glancing out the window-she and Whip had window seats, while the two guys were in the middle, next to the divider-she smiled softly, happy that she was finally getting away for a while.
The sky was fairly dark at this point. Having been on the flight now for about four hours, maybe a little more, they were now in a time zone that it was just about night. Hearing the flight attendants milling around starting to prepare things before some of them would turn in for the night, Adel started to sort his own bed out. The seats reclined fully, and the leg rests came up to form the other half of the bed, making a full one. Unfortunately, the seats all had some room in between them, so they would be sleeping on their own; being a flight, they were all fine with this, however.
Duo Lon took his long coat out and set it next to him, and the two then set about sorting their own areas out. They planned to listen to some music as they drifted off, Leona setting her pillow down and setting a bottle of water into the cup holder. Whip found it amusing that Leona had gotten to the point where she could sleep to the hellish sounding, underground extreme metal.
Adelheid messed with the TV channels, trying to find some documentary to fall asleep to, while Whip opted for one of the music stations that ran some classical. As the two had been together for about a year now-in fact, this month was sort of their one year anniversary-she had grown to like his melodic music-the classical, the power metal, and the synthwave in particular, and he had started to like some of the industrial rock she listened to.
Some time after they had sorted themselves out, the airline lights went off, darkening the cabin to a more dim light. Adel nodded to the other pair, smiling softly, as the four lay back to relax, seeing if their bodies-still not adjusted to the fact it was nighttime yet-would allow them to sleep.
Another song finished, and Whip shifted in her bed. It was rather comfy, to be sure, but she was just a little too wired. She managed to catch a small nap, at least.
She looked over, seeing Adelheid awake as well. The lights had been out for about two hours now, and the flight attendants were sleeping, save for a couple of the night shift ones who were mostly in the back, doing their preparations and otherwise just waiting on calls and making the odd rounds. The luxury cabin was fairly dark and quiet.
"Still awake?" she whispered.
He nodded. "Kinda. I fell off for maybe a half hour. I feel a little restless? Don't think I had too much coffee or anything."
"Me neither," she said, turning over to slide out of the bed to sit next to Adel, who had sat up to give her some room on his own bed. Looking over, it appeared that Leona and Duo Lon were asleep; the assassin had one of the blankets over his chest, though it didn't cover much past his thighs. His large, embroidered coat had been placed over Leona, who had inadvertently fallen asleep on her blanket. Both of them had headphones in, plugged into Duo Lon's media player. Smiling at this, she looked back at him. "Those two are out, though."
"Looks like it." He opened his bottle of water, taking a deep drink of it. It was easy to get dehydrated in the air, he knew. Checking his watch, he then glanced at the flight map. "A little more than halfway, it looks like."
"Yeah. Flight time...about five hours left." They continued to talk quietly; no one seemed to be disturbed around them.
"Maybe we'll knock out soon. They serve breakfast around an hour and a half before we land, I think."
Whip's mind started to wander a bit, back over the past year...and back to their initial getting together. "It's been a year now."
"It has." He leaned over across the aisle as they both sat on the edges of their bed-seats to kiss her softly. "Kind of hard to believe."
"Yeah," she smirked, stroking his side. "I still think back...and I'm still happy that we ended up stumbling into that date."
"I think that was your fault. I was being so...distant."
She kissed him again. "You had a lot on your mind."
He returned the kiss, teasing her a little with his tongue stud. Playing with it a moment, he chuckled. "I never thought I'd have ended up with some piercings. I mean they were always sort of cool, but I don't think I'd have...planned that."
"They're fun," she smirked, kissing him again as she teased one of the nipple piercings. She had started to get...thoughts in her head, though she tried to quash them.
Adel, always able to read her well, looked at her questioningly. "You seem to be getting a little touchy here on the plane," he grinned.
"I mean…" she looked off to the side. "It's the year and all. Maybe I'm having fond memories."
He pushed back some of her hair. He knew what she was thinking, judging by the way she was acting ever so slightly sheepish. He wondered for a moment if he should be the one to approach it.
"I have a feeling I know what you're thinking," he said.
"Look...just how private are the bathrooms here?" she grinned back.
He chuckled. "We technically joined the mile-high club back on the Sky Noah, didn't we?" Adel's voice was very low now, hoping none of the attendants were awake.
"Well, when you think about it...that's sort of cheating, isn't it?"
The blonde ran a hand through his hair, unable to keep the smile off his face. "That...is true." He shifted-below the waist, he was already starting to wake up at the thought. The luxury-class bathrooms were definitely bigger; about twice as big as the normal closets that the other classes used. Still, it would be somewhat of a tight fit, especially with someone of Adelheid's stature.
The way they were positioned, though...he could go first, and then she could follow fairly easily. There were more than one near each other, so it could be that she'd be ostensibly heading to the one near it, but he would leave the door unlocked until she got there. There were curtains that separated the bathrooms with the rest of the cabin, too, making it easier. And given all the little first-class 'pods' were closed off, no one would be the wiser.
Looking back at her, he pulled her close to give her a big of a hungrier kiss, teasing her lips with his tongue.
Knowing exactly what sort of kiss that was, she grinned. "By the way," she said.
"Hmm?"
"I had decided to start to...take something."
"...Wait…" He was a bright dude and knew what she meant. "That means…"
"If you want."
"Hmm," he whispered, looking around to make sure there were no attendants making their rounds again, before continuing. "That might be harder to clean here...but when we get to the hotel…" He smiled broadly.
"Good point," she agreed. "Okay. You go first."
Sliding out of his bed, he checked around, seeing most of the attendants as having been at the other end of the plane, and walked quickly over to slip into the restroom. As planned, Whip followed a few moments later, making like she was going into the left-most one...before heading to the right, closing and locking the door. The curtains had given them any privacy they may have needed for their operation.
The room wasn't too large, but the two could stand in it fairly comfortably, and there was enough room to sit, turn, and maneuver for more... intimate endeavors, should two adventurous people wish to partake in them while on a long-haul flight.
Facing each other, they immediately pressed together and kissed deeply; Adel's hand went through Whip's hair as his other hand brushed down her toned stomach, caressing it for a few moments before moving to tug her pants off.
Breaking a moment, kissing down her neck some, he smirked.
"May have to make this quick."
"We went at it outside of the Sky Noah pretty fast, I remember." She touched his mouth. "You even managed foreplay."
Grinning evilly, he nipped at her neck as he traced down, his hand pushing below her belt and between her legs to stroke her already slick midsection with his rough finger. Soft moans escaped her lips as she shivered; sliding a finger inside a few moments to give her a few strokes, she leaned by the wall as he yanked down her trousers to crouch, not about to pass up one of his favorite intimate activities.
A hand immediately tangling into his soft hair as she grasped it, as she always loved to do, she bit her lip at the always-wonderful feel of his tongue taking over from his finger, as it stroked her silky, wet folds, slowly at first before building up speed.
Thankfully over the months, Whip had become much better at keeping quiet during sessions; while she definitely moaned low and panted from the incredible feeling, she was used to sometimes going all out with him during times where the servants were crawling around. She liked getting vocal when she could, but she had learned to tone it back, particularly after the time Henrik had started knocking at the door during such a time as this one.
Adelheid knew his lover's body well by now. He knew what he had to do to get her off quickly, and while he much preferred extended sessions of foreplay, his skilled tongue, in conjunction with the piercing which he had gotten extremely good at using down here, caused her to heat up quickly as she thrust toward him, feeling the tip start to swirl quickly around her clit.
"Mmm," she muttered, holding onto his head, rubbing it as he continued, grunting softly as she felt his tongue tickle her opening a minute, thrusting inside for a little time before he began to suck her clit faster, bringing her over the edge. She gasped softly as the orgasm hit, Adel moaning himself in contentment as he drank in his reward.
Cleaning her up and smirking up at her, he stood, licking his lips off as she leaned against him, shuddering once. Smiling at him, they kissed again as he prepared; he was more than fine without needing any extra himself at the moment. They would have plenty of time at the hotel to enjoy more extended sessions, and he looked forward to doing it without the raincoat...but for now, it was simply easier to clean.
Meeting her in a kiss as he slid inside, he repositioned-it was a bit of a tight fit in the restroom due to his size, but the increased size of the place made it easier, and began to thrust, his leg up against the wall as they embraced. His keen ears listening for anything outside, he didn't pick it up, signifying that everyone was probably asleep.
Being with his lover after a full year and now doing something a little risky again was all too exciting for Adel; he thrust faster, moaning as she kissed his neck and shoulder as he enjoyed the feel of her around him.
Pushing into her harder, he could feel himself getting ready; he was so turned on at the whole thing-her feeling, her taste still on his lips and the inherent riskiness of where they were-that he came not too long after. He bit his lip to try to stay quiet as he slowed his thrusts, though stayed inside as she clamped around him, digging her nails just a little into his back.
Stopping finally and smiling softly at her, he kissed her several times; she returned them as they pushed deeper. After it broke, he gently pushed back her hair and caressed the side of her face. He shuddered once in an aftershock, nuzzling her.
"So, does that count?" he smirked.
"Yeah," she grinned back, resting her head on his shoulder and enjoying their moment before they decided to quickly clean up. They had gotten quite good at quick getaways, and it was little problem for them to wash up and spritz a little bit of the freshener in the place; the fan doing the rest of the work.
"I love you," he whispered. "Once again, saying it in a random bathroom."
She tried not to laugh too loudly. "It just makes it more heartfelt. I love you too." She kissed him deeply.
"I'll go out first," he said. "Just follow after a few minutes."
"Yeah, I gotta take care of some things anyway."
He stepped out, quickly going to the other restroom for a moment before hitting back to his chair; there were no stewards that he saw around. Settling back into his makeshift bed, he threw the light, yet soft blanket over himself as he saw Whip come in, leaning in to kiss him softly on the mouth.
"Good night," she whispered, sliding into the bed, feeling more than satisfied on this little trip already.
Coming to with the lights going on, Leona stirred; she noticed that she had Duo Lon's long and rather luxurious coat over her like a blanket. Smiling softly at this, she sat up, rubbing her eyes. She had removed her boots, though had kept the same tank top and army trousers on; she had debated changing into her shorts at the airport, but knew planes could get quite chilly. It had been the right decision, she felt.
Glancing out the window after she pushed the window covering up, she could see the earliest hints of dawn in the sky. Checking her watch, she saw that they had a bit less than two hours of flight time left. A look at the flight map showed that they were somewhere to the west of Shanghai still, though closing in smoothly. The flight itself had apparently been smooth enough that the group had stayed asleep, unless they had unknowingly slept through some turbulence. The wine, and then the bit of baijiu she had taken, no doubt helped her sleep, and she had been out nearly a full five hours by the look.
Looking over next to her, she saw Duo Lon's eyes slowly open. He still had his headphones in, and had not even reclined the chair fully back as a bed, just mostly. He had, at least, put the leg rest up all the way so he could stretch out the best he could-even then, his just about six-three frame was just about at the seat's limit. He smiled softly as she pushed his coat the rest of the way off-for a moment, she found herself comforted by its smell.
"You fell asleep on your blanket. The air was blowing right over there."
"Thanks," she said, stretching and smiling at him as she reached over the aisle to give his long leg an affectionate rub. "Did you sleep alright?"
"I did. As well as I could. Luckily, I have long forced off the worst effects of jet lag, but nobody is immune to it." He glanced at the map on his own monitor. "Close. We're well into Jiangsu province, which we always pass through getting there. It's right outside of it." Looking over, he went to see if the other two were awake yet. He smelled the coffee brewing in the plane, and knew that breakfast would be served soon.
Adelheid and Whip were still asleep; Adelheid was snoring softly, not loud enough to bother anyone. He had shed his tall boots and had the sheet thrown over him. Whip, too, was sleeping deeply-after their little adventure in the bathroom the two of them had been more than satisfied. They had even completely reclined their beds, deciding to take full advantage of the amenities.
They didn't know Duo Lon was half awake when they had stolen off and that he knew where they went, but he wasn't going to say anything. He could tell Whip knew exactly what had gone on in the attic that night, and she said nothing, either.
"Wonder what's for breakfast?" she asked softly, looking for the menu.
Taking his own, he glanced over it. "A variety, it seems. Omelette, but also congee. A few other odds and ends. A pity they don't have youtiao...though I doubt they'd be able to really get proper ones on the plane without a deep-fryer. They'd probably be frozen and heated in whatever they have back there. I will have to get you guys that as soon as we get some proper breakfast in the city."
"I've only eaten congee a few times, but I liked it. I had some at that dim sum place we went to, in fact. Don't think I ever ate the other stuff?"
"It's somewhat like a cruller. Very oily and very delicious. You may have had it? Even so, I'll take you to a place that I know sells excellent ones not too far from our hotel."
"How well do you know the place?"
"Like the back of my hand. I may only visit sometimes, but I never forget a city. Especially one I have spent enough time in, for both work and leisure."
"Guess you're the guide, then," she teased.
He smiled warmly at her. Anytime Leona would let her small bits of a more laid back attitude come out, it made him happy. "Of course. I'll of course be visiting Shen a few times, and you're free to come, unless he needs me on my own for some reason."
She blinked. "Personal stuff?"
"He does sometimes have some more personal things that he needs help with, yes."
"Make sure you get a vacation too," she said, touching his hand lightly a moment before laying back.
He nodded, laying back again and checking out the window to watch the early dawn begin to turn ever-so-slowly into sunrise. He always liked a sunrise on a flight; being so high up, no matter how rainy or stormy it may be below, it always looked clear.
The two heard some stirring next to them as more attendants-and people-started to mill about the cabin. Duo Lon checked the restroom and decided it would be a good time to go, wash up and take care of themselves; Leona followed, both managing to get there before anyone else.
It may have been the disappearance of their friends, or just the general movement, but Whip finally stirred, rubbing her eyes and yawning. She had slept incredibly soundly for those three and a half hours, though she knew that she'd be turning in very early tonight to do the one-day catch up on jet-lag so she'd be better the next day.
Elevating her seat up some, she leaned over to poke Adelheid gently.
"Good morning. I think we're eating soon," she said, knowing the promise of food would snap him out of his rather deep slumber.
Sure enough, within a few moments he started to sniff, turning over to open his eyes. He looked awfully cute while he was like this, she mused to herself.
"Mmm. I guess we slept for the whole time?"
"Something like that."
"I'm gonna need extra tonight, though."
"Yeah. For certain."
The two elevated their seats a bit more, and pushed the lower halves up against the walls in front of them so they could sit, though neither bothered getting their shoes or anything else on.
"Guess those two hit the bathroom first," he said, looking over.
Sure enough, the tall assassin made his way back to their area and sat back down, nodding and smiling softly to the two of them.
"Morning," he said, starting to dismantle his own bed so he could sit to eat more properly, as Leona did the same. She smiled, waving at the other two as she settled back down.
"One of the best things about the luxury meals...they give you the entire coffee pot," Adel grinned. He sniffed the air, his stomach starting to rumble. He had brought some snacks onto the plane, though had already torn through them.
Getting up to take their turn in the restroom, Duo Lon simply watched quietly out the window with Leona while the attendants started to set the food up. Being in the luxury section, everything was served on actual china with silverware on the side; pots of coffee were brought to each pair or person in the luxury section on request, Duo Lon also got a side of tea, as he often drank both in the morning.
The food, all told, was good. They were served the omelette, a steamed bun, congee, some pickled vegetables on the side, as well as coffee, tea, and juice. There were also croissants with jam as well as some meats on the side; the meal seemed to be a fusion of east and west, which often flights that crossed continents were known to do. The entire experience was great, as this flight's luxury amenities were rather exceptional, they had gotten to basically sleep in beds, and the food was of a good quality for an airline especially. They probably could have taken advantage of even more of them-like walling off their areas to be more private-but they enjoyed just lounging around the roomy seats with one another.
Cleaning their plates-as well as draining most of their caffeinated beverages, as they were feeling the toll of the twelve hour flight-the group, now having washed up already and taken care of what they needed to, simply relaxed for the last forty or so minutes of the flight.
Adel watched the small plane on the screen start to close in on Shanghai; Whip reassembled the stuff she was going to place in her carryon, so they could get them down, reload them quickly and get off the plane as fast as possible. Luckily, it would be early, so the airport wouldn't be as busy, but it was still a huge city. Duo Lon had said he would take care of their ground transportation, and they had a customs escort to speed their way through that, as well.
The general silence of digesting the fair-sized breakfast was suddenly broken with the all too familiar voice:
"Ladies and gentlemen, we have begun our descent into Shanghai. Please turn off all portable electronic devices and stow them until we have arrived at the gate. In preparation for landing in Shanghai, be certain your seat back is straight up and your seat belt is fastened. Please secure your carry-on items, stow your tray table, and pass any remaining service items and unwanted reading materials to the flight attendants. Thank you."
"Guess this is it," Adel said, fixing everything.
"I guess we can say vacation officially started now?" Whip slid her sneakers on and fixed her seat. Across the way, the other two adjusted themselves and prepared for the landing, as well.
"I'd say so."
A/N: Hey, there was some action breaking up the chapter about literally being On A Plane, heh.
I actually did a little flight research on food, and while this is a Mystery Flight KOF-Carrier(since I'm sure that world has its own), I did a little poking into what some international flights offer menu-wise. And indeed, several flights from Europe to China offer up stuff like I have described, including the breakfast congee, as well as some of the continental breakfast stuff. Flights are indeed known to sometimes mix cuisines a little going to other continents.
"Once again saying it in a random bathroom"-in Blood Bond, their first love confession came as they were bandaging each other up in a seedy side-alley hotel after a very, very vicious fight against some syndicate with a bone to pick with Adelheid. This happened on their first attempt at a vacation, the previously mentioned New York one.
