"Man, summer sucks." Said Kaminari.

It was true. Being outside for more than 2 hours meant having the honorable death of burning to a crisp. Even though Denki himself tanned extremely well, he would still die in this heat. On top of the sucky weather in summertime, you could only communicate with your school friends through text or FaceTime. That was, unless you lived close together. Luckily, Sero, Kirishima, and Bakugo were all in the same neighborhood as Kaminari. Unfortunately, his girlfriend wasn't. Then again, even if they were in the same neighborhood, Jiro wouldn't bother to come out of her house at all.

"Yeah dude." Sero finally responded, wiping sweat from his brow.

The temperature was at least 98 degrees, the humidity making it worse.

"Wanna go get Kiri and Bakugo? Then we could all go to the movies. They're having a 4 for 20 deal." The blonde said, pulling out his phone.

Sero nodded, knowing very well that the movie theater blasts their AC, making this summer heat more bearable.

"Where are we gonna meet them?"

"Hmm...How about the metro closest to Sakura Street?" Denki said, typing the location to send to the group chat.

"Sounds good. Just anything to cool down."

And so the two boys set off on their so called 'journey'. As they neared the metro, they got a text from Kirishima, saying how he wouldn't be in town due to a family trip.

"Aww man! Now we'll have to pay full price!" Kaminari groaned.

"Calm down, ya cheep skate."

For that comment, Sero received a light punch on the arm. "Bro, really?"

At the Sakura Metro

The metro station's interior of brick was a shade of green, similar to mint. Now this color by itself is usually really pretty, but the metro walls hadn't been cleansed in a couple of years so instead, it appeared to be an ugly shade of forest green. What didn't help, was that the lighting had a yellow tone to it, so not only was the mint green ruined, but the silver stairs and train rails were hideous too. Even so, it was still an efficient way of traveling however long the route was. Sero and Denki carefully made their way down the stairs. After all, they didn't want to relive the moment when Bakugo slipped on one of the steps. The result of this incident was a lot of scared civilians and tons of swear words echoing throughout the station. Once they reached the last step, they saw Bakugo leaning against a pillar, hands in his pockets.

"Yo!" Denki shouted. "How's our favorite punk?"

Bakugo just stood there, unresponsive with a pissed off look on his face. "Let's just go already."

With that, the energetic blonde chuckled and they boarded the train. After a few stops, it was time they stepped out. Frantically searching for the exit, the 3 boys spotted someone pretty god damn familiar.

"Oi! Icy hot!" Bakugo practically screeched, receiving some worried looks from passing people.

Todoroki had taken a short glance up from his phone to meet bakugo's eyes. Uninvited, the other boy walked over to greet the others. "Hello."

"Hey dude! How're you doin? We haven't seen you in ages!" Denki said, smiling.

As Bakugo nudged at his rib cage with his elbow, he scowled. "It hasn't been that long, idiot!"

Sero just looked at him with that usual, worried expression.

Ignoring that, Todoroki said, "Ive been doing fine, thank you. How have you been?"

"Just great! Though, it's hot as balls out here."

That made Todoroki flinch. They all just guessed he'd never heard someone use slang like that around him.

"Well that's good." He said, returning to his calm state.

Just then, he heard his phone buzz due to a notification.

"It was nice to see you all." Todoroki said monotonously.

Kaminari jumped past bakugo, to avoid being hit again. "Wait! Don't go. Uhh they have a deal at the theatre and they kinda need 4 people for it so like, can you go with us?"

Todoroki just stared at him, surprised. Then, his mood shifted blank. "I'd be happy to, but I have to get back home."

Before the loud blonde could speak, Sero replied, "Oh well then! Have a nice day!"

"You all are too nice to him." Bakugo huffed.

"And Denki's too cheap."
