Rumi slowly woke up from her deep sleep and frowned as she opened her eyes. She was wearing her usual sleeping outfit and was slightly confused by how dark it was outside.

Why the hell was her stupidly sexy boyfriend not in bed with her?

Grumbling under her breath because of the lack of skin-to-skin contact , Rumi sat up and rubbed the sleep from her eyes. Looking around, she could see that Izuku's work clothes were still in his bag, so he obviously had not left yet.

But before Rumi could begin to think up reasons for why Izuku would be up so early, the sound of melodic music reached her ears.

Getting out of bed, Rumi padded over to the door and out into the hallway. Making her way to the kitchen, she was greeted by the sight of a clothed Izuku making breakfast on the stove while he moved around in time with the beat. Suddenly Izuku began to sing along to the music, and Rumi was dumbfounded by how perfectly he hit every note.

Was there anything that the man could not do?!

With a happy smile on her face, Rumi leaned against the wall and simply watched Izuku dance around while singing along like a pro. His baritone voice complemented the music while also showing enough vocal skill to hit the high notes without his voice cracking.

It was nice to see a carefree side of the green-haired man. Of course it only made Rumi fall deeper in love with him, but that she did not mind in the slightest.

With the enticing smell of bacon in the air, the song finally came to an end and Izuku turned around with the frying pan in hand. Flinching slightly when he finally realized he had an audience, Izuku quickly turned off the music with a slight blush on his face.

"Sorry, did I wake you up?" He said apologetically.

Shaking her head, Rumi walked over and watched as Izuku began fixing her a plate made up of an omelette, toast, bacon, and fresh carrot slices.

"No, I woke up because I did not have my studly boyfriend to cuddle." She said lightly. "By the way you have an amazing voice. I swear, you keep surprising me with what you can do. Have you always been able to sing like that?"

Izuku shrugged shyly. "Thanks, it is a leftover of my spec-ops days. The group I was part of had a few karaoke lovers, and it became routine to have a karaoke competition to see who would buy the first round of drinks. Needless to say, I hate losing and might have spent some of my free time learning how to sing."

Rumi could not help but giggle at the mental image of a bunch of combat-hardened soldiers singing loudly in a bar. "Well it is clear you never lost with a voice like that. If you ever decide to leave your current job you could easily make a start as a musician."

Handing Rumi her plate of delicious looking food, Izuku let a small smile show on his face as he made a plate for himself.

"I am not that good." He said humbly. "It is just one of the many useless skills I learned over the years."

Walking over to the lone couch, Rumi waited for Izuku to join her before digging into her food. "Hey you don't see me complaining. If anything you could get out of trouble by serenading me like they do in those cheesy romance movies."

Taking a bite of his toast, Izuku chuckled softly. "I will keep that in mind."

The two continued to chat and eat their breakfast as the sun peeked out from over the horizon. Laughing along with Izuku over a funny story, Rumi could only think of one thing.

"I wish this could last forever."

After finishing their breakfast, Rumi and Izuku got ready for work. It seemed it was just going to be another day of patrolling the city and dealing with any crimes they came across.

Now dressed in their work clothes, the two secret lovers got into Izuku's car and drove off towards the city.

However, before they could arrive in the city proper Izuku's phone began to ring.

Connecting the call to the receiver nestled in his ear, Izuku answered in his standard professional voice. "Midoriya. What do you have for me?"

As Rumi sat in the seat beside her green-haired partner, she could not help but listen in on the surprise call.

"Agent Midoriya." A monotone female voice said. "We have just received a report of a possible high-value target. Intel has indicated that a large PLF cell is attempting to make a deal with a delegation of a Russian extremists in the old city rail yard. They are cementing the deal with a transfer of funds and supplies. Quantity and quality of the supplies is currently unknown, but command is confident that none of it is legal. A strike team is being assembled as we speak, but we need eyes on the ground to know what we are dealing with. Command wants someone dependable, so they are calling on you two. How copy?"

Rumi could immediately see Izuku shift into his soldier mannerisms as he responded.

"Understood, we are en route. I will keep the channel open to provide intel as we find it."

Cutting across several lanes of traffic, Izuku stepped on the accelerator as he began to drive to the trainyard.

"So how do you feel about crashing a PLF party?" He said to Rumi jokingly. "Can we please try to be at least a little stealthy at first? I want to get some good information before you beat the shit out of them."

Feigning a dramatic sigh, Rumi could not help but grin a little at Izuku's confidence.

"Fine." She said teasingly. "But if I see that they are going to hurt a civilian I am jumping in with or without you."

A short drive later, Izuku stopped the car at the outskirts of the abandoned and decaying rail yard. Getting out and looking around warily, Izuku unholstered his pistol and checked that it was ready for action.

"They are probably going to be deeper in." He said astutely. "I am guessing the deal is taking place in one of the large buildings."

Nodding in understanding, Rumi put in her own earpiece and did a few quick stretches. "Got it. When I find it I will let you know. Try to keep up."

Ducking through a hole in the nearby barbed wire fence, Izuku chuckled. "Says the girl that can run faster than most cars."

Laughing softly, Rumi easily hopped over the tall fence and began to search the rail yard.

The sprawling maze of train tracks, loading docks, and abandoned train cars certainly made the rail yard an ideal place to make illicit deals, but when Rumi was on the hunt there was nowhere for criminals to hide. Hopping on roofs and running down alleys surprisingly quietly, Rumi followed her partner's advice and searched for any building big enough to fit at least a few trucks.

A few minutes later, she hit pay dirt.

Her enhanced hearing picking up the sounds of conversation nearby, Rumi hopped up onto the roof of one of the loading docks and peeked through one of the rusty holes in the ceiling. Inside the abandoned building, several dozen people stood in two distinct groups facing each other as the leaders conversed in the middle. The PLF group was dressed in flashy street clothes, all on the younger side and armed with a variety of small caliber weapons. The Russians on the other hand all wore black tactical clothing and consisted of mostly adult men armed with deadly looking automatic weapons. It was clear that the deal was still in progress, and Rumi looked around to see if she could spot any of the illicit goods.

Behind the PLF group were at least a dozen barrels of some unknown liquid, and behind the Russians were several stacks of wooden crates containing various firearms and explosives.

The two leaders were both very different from each other. The female PLF leader sported a mishmash of colorful clothing that was accented by a variety of elaborate tattoos that covered most of her body. The bald male Russian leader seemed to be the militant type, as he wore camouflage tactical pants and a bullet-proof vest over a long sleeve black shirt.

Coming to some kind of agreement, the two leaders shook hands and motioned for their lackeys to get to work. There were two tractor trailer trucks backed up into the loading docks and the two groups quickly exchanged their goods before beginning to load them. The Russians took the barrels to their truck and the PLF members took the boxes of weapons to theirs. As the two groups worked, the two leaders supervised while doing the usual posturing and berating of their cronies.

Activating her earpiece, Rumi whispered as she watched the arms deal progress. "Izuku, big green building with a loading dock. Looks like the Russians are giving guns in exchange for some barrels of stuff the PLF had. They are loading them up now."

A few seconds later, Izuku replied while slightly out of breath. "Got it, I followed you. You on the roof?"

Rumi grunted an affirmative as she watched the scene below her.

Less than a minute later, Izuku spoke in a hurried whisper. "I got eyes on the product, I snuck through a broken window in the back. You would think these guys would have at least a few guards posted."

Rumi was about to answer when suddenly a cell phone began to ring.

The PLF leader reached into her pocket and pulled out a scuffed smartphone and immediately answered in an annoyed voice. "What is it?"

Rumi focused on eavesdropping, and what she heard was not good.

"You have guests." An artificially distorted voice said. "Miruko and her partner to be exact, and a strike team on the way. Get out of there now."

As the PLF leader screeched out orders, Rumi spoke to Izuku as she stood up and raised a foot.

"Izuku someone tipped them off! They know we are here!" Rumi said loudly, not concerned with being stealthy anymore. "I'm goin in!"

Not bothering to wait for Izuku's reply, Rumi brought her foot down and smashed a gaping hole in the ceiling. Immediately there was a hail of gunfire as panicked criminals either tried to stand their ground or run away. Moving so fast that she was a blur, Rumi jumped straight down onto the nearest thug and knocked him flat before giving him a good kick to the jaw for good measure. As bullets flew past her, Rumi could hear the distinctive pops of Izuku's pistol as he began firing from the shadows.

For a few seconds everything was going well. The criminals were in a panic and disorganized, which only made it easier for Rumi to bash some heads while Izuku began dropping bodies with accurate rubber bullets.

Then things started to go pear-shaped.

"YOU FUCKING IDIOTS!" The PLF leader screamed in rage as her arms began to glow a hellish red. "GET TO YOUR CARS AND GET THE PRODUCT OUT OF HERE! I WILL DEAL WITH THIS BITCH MYSELF!"

It seemed that the PLF leader was in charge for a reason, as she quickly organized her goons and charged straight towards Rumi. Seemingly determined not to look weak in front of his men, the Russian leader began barking orders and focusing their combined firepower on Izuku's position. As all of this was happening, the sound of revving engines could be heard between gunshots. While Rumi and Izuku had their hands full, the rest of the criminals had piled into a convoy of trucks and cars and quickly peeled out of the loading dock.

"FUCK!" Rumi screamed in exasperation as she dodged a spray of molten metal that had come from the PLF leader's arms

"Okay, time to get serious." Rumi thought to herself as she flipped through the air and sent a PLF goon flying.

Pushing her abilities to the max, Rumi slammed a foot down so hard it sent a shockwave rippling through the concrete that knocked most of the goons off their feet. While the lackeys were momentarily stunned, Rumi used the reprieve to get into the PLF leader's blind spot. Spotting her chance, Rumi ducked between frantic blasts of molten metal and delivered a perfect dropkick that sent the PLF leader straight through a nearby concrete wall.

Satisfied that the molten metal lady was out for the count, Rumi was about to continue her rampage when she felt a sharp pain on her non-bionic arm. Looking down, Rumi was shocked to see that one of the PLF goons had extended his neck like an accordion and had bitten her with a pair of snake-like fangs.

Annoyed more than anything, Rumi quickly delivered a metal knuckle sandwich straight to the goon's face that broke his nose with a satisfying pop and made his fangs let go of her arm.

As the number of bullets whizzing through the air began to increase, Rumi suddenly heard Izuku's voice blaring over her earpiece.

"Rumi, go after the trucks!" Her boyfriend shouted while he reloaded his pistol. "I can handle these guys! Don't let them get away!"

Hesitating, Rumi looked to her green-haired partner and made her choice.

Knowing that Izuku could handle himself, Rumi turned around and booked it out of the building. Spotting the convoy of criminals at the far end of the train yard as they turned onto the street, Rumi flattened her ears against her head and poured all her strength into running as fast as possible.

Normally most people associate rabbits with jumping, but if you have ever seen a rabbit in real life you know they can run up to speeds around thirty-five miles an hour.

Now multiply that speed by three and pack all that energy into a human body, and you get a rough estimate of what Rumi was capable of.

Sprinting after the trucks, Rumi covered the distance of two football fields in the span of seconds. Skidding out onto the street, Rumi put so much power into her feet she left footprints in the pavement as she ran after the convoy.

It took almost a minute for Rumi to catch up to the trucks, but that was mostly because she had to dodge traffic and the occasional bumbling pedestrian. While she had been busy, the convoy of trucks and cars had made it onto the highway and were doing their hardest to put as much distance between them and the pro-hero as possible.

Now normally Rumi would have just sprinted up to the cars and sent them careening away with a good kick, but there was heavy traffic and her normal brute force strategy would undoubtedly result in collateral damage.

The criminals on the other hand, had no qualms using their vehicles to crash through any car unfortunate enough to get in front of them.

Every time Rumi got close to one of the tractor trailer trucks, the criminal drivers used the massive vehicles to send a nearby car into the nearest hard object, resulting in Rumi sacrificing her speed to make sure the civilians escaped with their lives.

After rescuing the fifth car full of civilians, Rumi was positively boiling with rage.

On top of that, her arm hurt like someone had beaten it with a baseball bat, so she was not in the best of moods.

As she tried to think of a plan while keeping pace with the trucks full of illegal supplies, Rumi suddenly saw a familiar red feather fly by her face.

Her earpiece coming to life, Rumi could not help but grin when she heard who was talking to her.

"Looks like you could use a hand." Hawks said cheerily as he flew by overhead.

Smiling, Rumi nodded thankfully. "You know for once I wouldn't mind a little help." She said jokingly. "Can you get these bystanders out of the way so I can deal with these assholes?"

"Consider it done my friend." Hawks replied as more of his red feathers began to separate from his wings.

Like small guided missiles, the red feathers raced ahead of the rampaging trucks and began gently shepherding confused drivers out of the way. Soon the highway was clear and Rumi was free to finally kick some ass.

Suddenly another shape joined Hawks in the sky above the highway, except this time it was one of the black scout helicopters from the Ministry of Defense.

And riding on one of the wings with a sniper rifle in hand, was none other than Izuku himself.

"I said I would catch up." Izuku said warmly as he loaded his rifle. "I got your back Rumi, go get those bastards."

If Rumi could, she would have taken a picture of Izuku right then and there. Dressed in his standard black suit with his tie flapping in the wind, Izuku looked like a secret agent straight out of a blockbuster action movie.

Her heart bursting with pride, Rumi laughed elatedly. "Fuck yeah! Keep those goons off my back while I deal with these trucks!"

No sooner had she said those words, a rubber bullet whizzed by her head and popped the tire of a car full of angry Russians that had tried to sneak up on her while she ran. As the car careened wildly and crashed against a concrete wall, Izuku chambered a new round and gave her one of the best smiles she had ever seen.

"Viper's got you in the pipe, five by five." Said the helicopter pilot as he expertly piloted the helicopter around powerlines and trees. "Bravo team has you covered Miruko."

Finally free to use her full power, Rumi jumped on top of the nearest truck as the driver blindly fired a handgun out the window. Leaping up to the cab, Rumi flipped in midair and busted through the windshield in a shower of glass. As the driver screamed in Russian, Rumi kicked him so hard he took the door of the truck out with him as flew out into the street below.

Turning off the engine of the now driverless truck, Rumi could hear an exchange of gunfire behind the tractor trailer as another sedan full of gun-wielding Russians dueled with the airborne Izuku.

Leaving the truck to slowly come to a stop, Rumi exited the cab and sprinted up to the last truck. Jumping on top of the trailer, Rumi quickly made her way up to the front and examined the cab. It seemed that the driver had a quirk of his own, as a black tar-like substance covered all the windows and hid him from view. Deciding not to risk blindly going after the driver, Rumi instead decided to end things with one of her signature moves.

Climbing onto the hood of the speeding truck, Rumi stood up and raised one of her legs as high as she could. Aiming carefully, Rumi brought her foot down as hard as she could.

"LUNA ARC!"

Her signature axe kick smashed through the hood and engine underneath like they were made of wet cardboard, causing the truck to come to a grinding halt as pieces of the engine block sprayed into the sky.

Finally, it was over.

Stepping down off the ruined truck, Rumi nodded in satisfaction as she watched the mob of police vehicles approaching in the distance.

A short distance away, Izuku's helicopter gently landed on the now empty highway. Unhooking himself from the safety harness, Izuku left his rifle in the aircraft and walked toward his secret girlfriend with a proud smile on his face.

Feeling her chest heat up upon seeing Izuku's charming smile, Rumi went to meet him halfway.

However, as she walked Rumi finally realized how much her arm was hurting.

Now that she thought about it, her chest was continuing to heat up to an almost uncomfortable degree.

Before she could realize what was happening, Rumi felt her limbs seize up. Falling to the ground, she began to convulse as her vision slowly went dark.

The last thing Rumi saw was Izuku running over to her with a terrified expression on his face.

Then everything went dark.
