I think I have been fading in and out of conscious for some time now.

My left eye feels painful and sticky. I haven't been putting my required eye drops and I know mucus is starting to build up, causing it to swell even more. My arms have gone numb from the pain, and my throat feels like it's on fire.

Ryder had put down a dog bowl filled with water and tried to make me crawl over to drink, but I refused to let him shred away the last of my dignity, earning a few kicks in the torso for not doing as he said. He took off the duct tape from my mouth, but my voice is too hoarse to scream for help at this point.

I can't really find the strength to move anymore, and I just feel so, so tired. Even breathing feels like a chore now.

I can't remember the last time I've seen anyone else. Maybe they all have forgotten about me. Maybe it's better that no one remembers me. So Jade can forget about the girl who broke her heart.

The blinding lights are on again. I think he's back.

"Hey Tori, have I tamed you yet?" I could feel his hands on my cheeks. "Maybe we can finally have some fun."

I can't even make my body cooperate with me to fight back anymore. I can hear the familiar flipping sound of the pocketknife, then feel him cutting through the tapes on my thighs. Then a sharp pain bolted through my body again.

"Shit! You just stained my new shirt red! Now I've got to go get changed. Wait right here, I'll be back to deal with you."

The footsteps faded out of the room and the darkness flooded back in. Somehow, it feels comforting this time. I think I should take a nap. It's getting colder, and maybe…
