Hello there! Auther guy again! Don't have much to say other than thanks to the two people who left reviews. and to you two I thank you wholeheartedly! I hope more people leave reviews as it's the only way for me to improve or at the very least it's the only way for me to improve at a good rate. Anyways I hope you enjoy this new chapter!

"Nee-sama Nee-sama, it appears our guest is a lazy slob sho sleeps well into the afternoon"

"Rem Rem, you seem to be correct, truly the look of a loser."

Subaru woke up, his head was on a soft pillow and he was covered by a nice warm blanket. And even beter he was on a soft yet giant bed. Was he in another dream? He opened his eyes and looked at a wall.

"I don't recognize that wall.."

He muttered to himself as he sat up on the bed before noticing two people in maid's outfits. One of them had blue hair and blue eyes, the other pink hair and pink ish red eyes. They were holding each other's hands looking at Subaru with odd looks.

" Hello there strangers, do you know where I am?"

"Rem Rem, it appears our guest is too clueless to know where he is."

"Nee-sama Nee-sama, could it be the fall he took made him loose memories?"

"It appears so sister"

"What are you two talking about? Can't you just tell me where I am and why you're in my room?"

"You are in the mansion belonging to Master Roswaal. He is waiting to meet you at the dinner table, we were sent to wake you."

"Ah, well it's nice to meet you rem and what is your name?" He looked at the pink haired girl.

"Nee-sama's name is Ram."

"Well it's nice to meet you too Ram I am Subaru."

Said Subaru as he got up from his bed and searched around his room. Where exactly did they put his clothes. Hang on who took off his clothes?! Y'know what sometimes it's better not to think about something.

He hadn't found his clothes so he just decided to continue with the towel robe thing he was wearing currently. He walked past the odd couple of twin assumed sisters walking into the hallway. He was looking for where ever the dinner room even was. Man he should've asked those maids for help. He decided he'd just have to open doors for a while. So he found a door that he found tempting to open and swung it open.

"It's surprising you found me on the first door, I suppose."

"Oh sorry I didn't know this was a library, such big doors for this place huh? I'm Subaru, what's your name?"

"I am the great spirit Beatrice, I am the sworn protector of this library, I suppose."

"Nice to meet you Beatrice, do you by chance know where the dinning room is? I need to meet Mr Roswaal."

"This is the door to the dinning room, if you leave and open it again you will find it. I guess

"Oh uh, thank you Beatrice, I'll be leaving then."

"But before you leave Betty will have to make sure you are not a thre-"

"Sorry Beatrice, but according to those maids it's well into the afternoon! I don't want to be any more late than I already am! I'll let you make sure I'm not a threat later Beatrice!"

Subaru had cut off Beatrice, he really was in a hurry and he was probably late. Beatrice was left dumbfounded as the odd fellow had just simply left.

"What an odd fellow, I suppose."

He had left the room and closed the doors, he then waited a couple seconds before opening the door once again. He walked inside the door and looked at the massive table, he saw Emilia, Roswaal, Rem and Ram. Roswaal looked like a fucking jester, for such a wealthy person he'd expect him to look more, y'know less stupid. But oh well he is the one who is giving him the hospitality, unfortunately, the second he saw Emilia again, he held his stomach and his mouth. Although this time only gagging a little, seems like he's recovering well from the memories.

Emilia perked up and got up from her seat placing her hands on the table with a bright smile when she saw Subaru. She waved her hand at Subaru and greeted him rather loudly with a bright and cheerful voice

"Subaru! Subaru you're awake! I hope you slept well!"

"Sure did! Thanks for your hospitality Roswaal sir!"

Said Subaru with a thumbs up, before walking over and sitting down at a chair, specifically the one facing Emilia.

As Subaru grabbed a fork and lifted some of the food into his mouth and chewed he couldn't help but just simply smile at how tasty this was. He didn't know if it was from the basically empty stomach from eating nothing and throwing up three times yesterday, but either way this food was amazing. He wanted to just scarf it down without chewing, now that thought was definitely from the starvation but oh well. Instead he just quickly ate the food as fast as he could without looking disrespectful Infront of the guy who owns this mansion. He didn't want Lord Roswaal to think badly of him.

"So Emilia what did you do after I blacked out? Did you drag me here?"

"Actually, Ram here the maid with the pink hair was the one who brought the both of us here after you blacked out."

"So Suuuuubaru, what is it that you intended to get from helping Emilia?"

"What I intended to get from it? I don't know what you want from that question, but I just wanted to help Emilia as a kind gesture."

Roswaal's eyes narrowed, would someone really be so willing to help someone who shares the looks of the witch.

"Soooooo you do you not know of Emilia's candiiiidacy for the throoooone?"

"For the throne?... Wait hang on, so Emilia is a candidate to become queen of this kingdom?"

"Well isn't that simply suuurprising? Such selflessness shown to a hal- stranger, yes a straaanger."

"If I may ask Lord Roswaal, can you explain to me how exactly this candidacy works?"

"My myyyy Subaru, If you wish to know of the new candidacy I'll be moooore than happy to elaborate with yooouuu. You see, the king has escaped, leeeeeaaaaving his sickened royal family to diiiiiiie of a sickness that seeeeeeemed to only affect them. Recently the draaaaaaagon has chosen four new candidates foooooor the spot of the throne."

"Very interesting, and Emilia just so happens to be one of these candidates? Well isn't that just lucky of me."

Remarked Subaru as he finished eating his food, practically cleaning it with what was left on it, not licking it clean because he had human decency unlike actual Subaru.

"Ah, it seeeeems like you enjoyed Rem's cooking. She is quite the coooook!"

"Ah, interesting" Subaru noted to himself before Roswaal continued.

"As Emilia has grown quuuuuiiite fond of you and you've helped her out quite a loooooot I'll grant you one wish! Whatever you'd like, as long as it's within myyyyyy range of accessibility."

"Anything? that's quite the reward. Well I don't exactly have a place to stay, but it would be selfish of me to just stay here without helping. Hmm, yes I've decided it! I would like to work for you as a maid!"

A couple awkward seconds passed as Subaru watched in silence, before Ram sneezed. Subaru looked at the pink haired maid "bless you" he said before Roswaal spoke up.

"My my Suuuubaru, if that is your wish I wiiiiil grant it. Rem deeeaaar, help our newest worker wont yooooou?"

"Of course Roswaal lord, I will begin by getting Subaru a new suit so that he can work. "

Said Rem as she moved from her spot next to Roswaal's seat, walking over to Subaru. Subaru standing up and following Rem to wherever she is headed to. He isn't very familiar with this mansion yet, and he didn't know where any of the doors lead to yet. It was like a straight up maze to him, as he traversed the halls of the mansion he couldn't help but notice the occasional blood cold glances that rem the maid would give him.

It was weird, and creepy really. He hadn't done anything disrespectful or non decent to the maid. To be honest, she was the one that was disrespectful. Calling him names, what exactly did he do to piss this small little maid off? It was weird but he felt like he was doing nothing wrong so why was she so mad? Oh well, it didn't matter because all of those theories had been disregarded by Subaru when Rem entered a room, and Subaru followed suite.

"If possible Subaru, stand still. Rem is taking your measurements."

"Hey I used to sew a lot, I could probably make an entire outfit if I wanted to."

"It would be difficult to make an outfit for yourself Subaru. It is unlike making one for someone else."

"Oh, I uh, damn you are right... Hey Re-"

"Rem told you to stand still Subaru, do not talk anymore until we are done."

"uh yes of course."

Said Subaru as he watched the maid get oddly close and... Sniff him...? What the hell?! What is she a dog?? "Rem why did yo-"

"Stand still Subaru, if it is possible.

Subaru was cut off by Rem. this maid was one hell of a character huh? But surprisingly cute at that. After about four more minutes Rem was finally done taking Subaru's measurements.

"We are done Subaru, you may continue to the kitchen for now. Rem will be with you as soon as possible. Ram will assist you with the cooking."

"Goodbye Rem, thank you for your kindness."

Said Subaru, a complete lie. He just wanted to get on the blue haired maid's good side, in all truth Rem had been really weird and slightly scary. But he couldn't say that, that would be mean! Plus it would just make his relationship with the awkward maid worse, no reason in worsening it.

Subaru was headed to the kitchen, before remembering, huh wait a second where the fuck am I? He walked past a suspicious door, he felt like something was hiding behind it. He walked over to the door and grabbed the handle turning it and opening it. Hopefully his suspicion was the kitchen he was looking for.

But unfortunately, or fortunately depending on your views on the situation, the door that Subaru had opened lead to the library he was in before. And inside was Beatrice, reading some strange black book. Beatrice would look up from her book swinging her legs ad she noticed Subaru enter.

"Again? You are a lucky guesser, I suppose."

"Oh I was just looking for the kitchen, do you know where that is Beatrice?"

"I know, I know this entire mansions layout. But you need to be trusted before you are to be let outside and into the kitchen by Betty, I suppose. Come closer, and grab my hand."

"Your hand? Sure, I guess.'

Said Subaru before he approached the small being, they definitely weren't human. To be honest with you she didn't speak or act like a human. She looked like a nine year old but she spoke in a very unfamiliar manner. He stopped about half a step Infront of her. Beatrice reaching out her hands and holding them Infront of Subaru. Subaru grabbed her hands and then instantly felt pain, intense pain but it ended abruptly. It wasn't the type of pain that would last, but when it stopped he felt insanely tired, he fell to the ground face smudged on the ground as he looked up at Beatrice on her seat.

"You are no threat to anyone, infact."

"that's not...ni...ce"

Said Subaru as he drifted off to sleep, closing his eyes and in a matter of seconds he was asleep, but then he instantly woke up in his bed. No dreams huh? That's unfortunate, he opened his eyes and looked at the ceiling with a blank face. But he felt the presence of something watching him to his right. He sat up from his bed and looked to the right, seeing the long silver hair of the half Elf Emilia. He smiled as he looked at her sleeping face. He hasn't been able to smile at her face for a day due to the PTSD of Elsa.

Seems like Emilia had stayed watch over Subaru whole he was mana drained. He must've been asleep for a long time since she was hunched over against the wall eyes closed and asleep. He got up quietly, the bed creaking bit as he did so. He walked over to where Emilia was sitting, he contemplated if she would be mad at him for getting him in the bed while she slept but he ultimately decided to go through with it. He gently grabbed her by the shoulders and laid her on the bed. Placing the blanket over her before leaving the room making sure to close the door slowly to make sure it didn't make any noise.

Once the door was fully closed he stepped back and sighed a bit relieved that he didn't accidentally wake up the sleeping beauty. As he turned around he noticed a certain angry looking maid with a pouty face. She quickly walked over to Subaru about a she stopped a step away from direct contact with him.

"Rem told you to go to the kitchen. Nee-sama told me you had never showed up. Where were you?"

"Oh I didn't exactly know where the kitchen was in the first place Rem. But that's not the reason why I wasn't at the kitchen. You see I opened a door and it lead to the forbidden library? Whatever it's called I forgot, and the small girl Beatrice inside sucked me dry-"

"What? Subaru? What did you do?"

Said Rem as a slight blush formed on her cheeks. Subaru looked at her confused for approximately one second before blushing even fucking more like a tomato and stepping back hurriedly speaking quickly and embarrassedly.

"Mymana!Remshesuckedmymana! Nothing else... After she sucked my mana I blacked out for a couple hours."

Rem looked slightly relived, putting a hand to her. chest and closing her eyes as she sighed.

"Ah, well that is a relief Subaru."

She said before returning to her usual collected and professional manner.

"Follow Rem if you will, Rem will lead you to the kitchen. Although Ram is sweeping and cleaning the bathroom. Rem hope's that Rem will be sufficient in teaching you Subaru."

"Uh, yeah sure thing Rem."

Said Subaru as he followed Rem, the mansion to Subaru was simply but a winding series of hallways and staircases. If not for Rem he would probably get lost for the entire week and get no work done what so ever. Thankfully Rem is infact here so that is of no problem or worry to Subaru. After walking for about two minutes they found themselves at the kitchen. Rem walked over to a counter and opened it it, taking out two sharp knives and handing one to Subaru.

"Rem will teach you how to peel a potato. Rem is sorry for Ram not being here to teach you better than I, but Rem hope's that she will be enough for Subaru to learn from.'

Said Rem with a slight smile, seems like she wasn't so hell bent on disliking him as she was before.

"Hang on, what do you mean by that? Your cooking was more than extraordinary! I was barely able to stop myself from picking up the plate an scarfing it down! Rem your cooking is spectacular, you shouldn't think badly of yourself!"

A slight red hue Began forming on Rem's face once again, before turning to a small wooden basket and throwing a potato to Subaru, Subaru catching, it nearly hitting him in the face.

"So does Lord Roswaal not have any potato peelers?"

"Potato peelers? Rem is sorry but she does not know what you are referring to."

"oh, nevermind then it's unimportant. Just a thing from my homeland, it makes it much simpler to peel potatoes."

Said Subaru as he began peeling the potato. Subaru used to help his mother out with peeling potatoes and other things in the kitchen. It made it simpler to peel it, but it was still weird and harder to do since he used a potato peeler and not a knife. About half an hour later they had cut and peeled all the potatoes. Subaru had a small bandage around his index finger, he got cut once accidentally by Rem when had nudged into him while walking. She had already apologized profusely for the mistake so it was fine.

"Rem congratulates your work on peeling the potatoes."

"Oh, thanks Rem. But compared to your potatoe mine look like cubes."

"Subaru do not put yourself down, listen to your own words." Rem said with a smile.

"Oh, yeah thank you Rem."

Said Subaru returning her smile with another smile, handing the sharp knife back to her. Rem grabbing the knife and washing it in a bucket of cold water before placing it back in the drawer.

"So Rem, is that all for today?"

"No Subaru, Rem will have to tutor you in the nayive language, you appear to be illiterate."

"Ah, well okay then. I'll go get my work clothes off."

"Rem will see you in your room, you do remember where it is located right?"

"Yeah, I remember where it was. Thank you for all your help and kindness Rem."

Said Subaru with a genuine smile as he left the room. Rem had actually been nice this time around, it was surprising. From giving him death stares to smiling and blushing at his actions. It's nice he though to himself as he left the room and went to the changing room, or at least that's what he thinks it is, he doesn't know if the room where Rem got his measurements in was the changing room but it was his best guess for now.

Subaru after about twenty minutes finally got back to his room. In all honesty he didn't know where it was. So it took some trial and error and greeting to Beatrice on occasion to find his room. But while walking he found Emilia, seems like she had woken up. When she saw Subaru her face once again lit up and she ran over, she was just about to hug him but stopped about half way through remembering what exactly shes doing. She took a couple steps back, looking down avoiding eye contact to hide her tomato red face.

"H-Hey Subaru! I found you asleep infront of the bathroom door so I decided to take you back to your room and tug you in. But I didn't want to leave so I dtayed watch and I kinda fell asleep. But it seems you woke up and tugged me in instead. Thank you Subaru, I hope your first day of work wasn't too laboursome though!"

"Yeah it was fine, not too tiring. Rem was kinda weird but shes been very nice throughout the whole thing. But I have to leave for now Emilia, I hope you have a nice night. Good night, I hope I can see your face again tomorrow!"

"G-Goodnight"

Subaru smiled and waved, so did Emilia. He left and returned to his room to find the blue haired maid sitting in a chair next to another on. With paper and a candle lit to be able to see it. She patted the chair next to her as she spoke to Subaru.

"Take a seat Subaru, Rem will teach you now."

"As you wish Rem."

Subaru walked over to the seat and sat down next to her and began listening to her speak as he wrote and learned from her. It was rather easy for him, not that it was an easy to learn language no no. He just found it easy to learn for some reason. Maybe it was because he had learnt three languages already, because y'know school n shiz.

"You have done well for today Subaru. Rem will be retiring from work today."

"Hey Rem, why is it exactly that you're teaching me the language?"

"You would be useless to Rem if accompanying Rem to the village and not being able to read anything."

"Ah, alright thank you Rem. Goodnight"

"Rem wishes you goodnight."

And with that Subaru got up from his chair and walked over to his bed and fell asleep.

Woooooo were done with chapter three! I hope you enjoyed this because I sure enjoyed writing this for 4 hours aahhhhh I'm sorry this one was shorter than others but the next chapter will be worth it!
