Chapter 6: Middle School Orientation! Articho Meets Kazari Uiharu for the First Time!

June 12, 2023

Articho's Capsule House somewhere on the outskirts of District 7

The next morning, our hero slowly wakes up as his eyes open. However, just when he did awaken from his slumber...

"?!" Articho reacted as Arisa's sleeping face is up close to his own. "How in the-"

Carefully sitting up, he then sees that she is sleeping on his bed peacefully as her body moved close to his.

"Hmm? I guess she must've had a nightmare last night and decided to go sleep in my bed?" He deduced.

The young teen looks down to see she's gripping the blanket sheet for herself, exposing her naked butt cheeks beneath her shirt.

"Pretty..." He blushes. "I'll let her sleep for a little bit, while I washed up and make breakfast."

"Mmm... Articho..." The girl says in her sleep. "I've missed you so much, my champion."

This stopped the young Time Patroller in his tracks. He even looks at her in confusion.

"Hold on? There's only one other person who calls me that." He says before shrugging it off. "Nah. Must be imagining things. Silly me."

He's slowly stands up, as to not disturb her of her sleep, and started to quickly sneak into the restroom. However, before he did that, he went over to his closet and pulls out a small box. Opening it up, reveals a small collection of rings. One colored in silver, and the rest in Emerald green.

"It's a good thing I snatched Black's Time Ring during our fight two days ago." He admits. "And that was before I turned him into a cookie and sealed him away in a teapot. Ah, the irony. He loves to drink tea and yet he is sealed away in the tool of his favorite beverage."

Articho then takes out Black's ring and looks at it before looking at the other rings.

"Still, that doesn't explain about the other rings. Could my actions here result in creating possible alternate timelines?" He wonders before closing the box and hiding them away in the closet.

"And since no knows on this planet knows what a Time Ring is, that means it's useless for anyone to use. You'd need to have the full rank of Supreme Kai and the correct Potara earrings." He says, making his way towards the restroom again.

A few minutes later...

The popstar stirs in her sleep, as she begun to wake up from her deep sleep. The pink haired girl rubs her eye, and stretches.

"Mmm..." Arisa moans, as she stretches her muscles. Then her nose takes a whiff of the air, to the smell of food being cooked. "Yummy. I smell some bacon."

The girl then quickly takes off the blanket covering her, put on a pair of slippers, and starts making her way toward the dining room. When she got there, she saw that Articho was in the kitchen preparing breakfast.

"Good morning, Articho." Arisa says, moving towards the dining room table.

"Morning, Arisa." He friendly salutes at her. "Did you get any sleep last night?"

"I did. Though I have a bit of a nightmare at one point. So I thought that sleeping in your bed was good at the time." She answers, before bowing. "I'm sorry. You made it clear that I wasn't allowed to be in your bed, but I..."

"It's fine." He assures her. "You felt like you need something to ease yourself from the stress."

The young girl nods in agreement. The hybrid Saiyan smiles, before moving back to finish up the food.

"This is really getting stranger by the minute." He says to himself. "And I'm being surrounded by strangely beautiful women."

Soon, he serves Arisa her breakfast and finally himself before they sat down at the table.

"I appreciate it." She told him, before clapping her hands together. "Thank you for the meal."

"Thanks for the food." He says, doing the same thing.

Soon the two of them started to enjoy the food that was prepared.

"This is really good." Arisa admits, loving the taste of the food her bodyguard made. "Bacon is my favorite."

"Good to know." He smiles. "You're not a bad cook yourself."

That made her a little embarrassed, from that comment.

"Thanks." She told him. "Anyway, let's finish up before we head out."

The Time Patroller informs as he picks up the pace on his eating. The popstar decided the humor him, by trying to do the same.

"Oh! There's something I wanna give you after we eat." He told her, getting her attention.

"Hmm?" She wonders curiously. "What is it?"

"AFTER we finish our breakfast." He continued.

"Right." She says, continuing to eat.

After their hearty breakfast, Arisa took a quick shower before getting dressed in her casual clothes.

"Do you always have to wear that gi, Articho?"

"It's comforting." He answers with a smile. "Always have been."

"Well, you know that you have to wear a school uniform when we attend school." She explains to him. "You can't always wear that gi with you."

"Yeah, I know." He shrugs. "But I can at least wear it underneath. Of course, my wristbands and boots wouldn't work well with it. So we get our uniforms today, huh?"

"Yep. And our first day of school won't be until Monday on June 14."

"Great." He nods before pulling something out of his gi's blue belt. Opening his hand, he shows the Time Ring to Arisa.

"Wow. It's so pretty, what is it?"

"Let's just say it was 'given' to me as a parting gift." He explains in a half truth. "Can I see your right hand?"

Arisa gives a small nod, extending her right hand.

Articho smiles as he holds her hand, awed at how beautiful and surprisingly soft her hands are. He then slides the silver ring onto her index finger and let go of her hand.

Arisa was blushing after that, but then quickly admires the ring on her index finger.

"It's beautiful." She told him, examining the ring. "I love the color."

"I'm glad you do." He smirks. "Cool-looking, right? See the crest shaped like the infinite number?"

She looks at the crest, showing the infinity sign.

"I do." She told him. "Do you know what that means?"

"Not a clue." He lies, not wanting to know it's true purpose. "But I'm sure we'll find the significant of it in the future."

"Thank you so much." She smiles. The girl then gives him a big hug, that surprised him.

"Uhhh..." He replies in shock before returning the hug. "You're welcome. Now let's head on over to Sakugawa Middle School."

Later outside, Articho tosses a Capsule which then explodes. The dust clears, revealing an old red sports car with two open seats due to the lack of a roof over them. The vehicle appears to be retro, dating back in the 1990s. At least from Arisa's point of view.

"Nice car." She told him, looking at the vehicle.

"It belonged to my grandfather." He explains before telling the truth to himself in his head. "Technically, Goku's my great-great grandfather. But I just call him as my ancestor. That grandfather title is a bit mouthful."

Arisa then hops in the passenger seat.

"Come on. Let's get going." She waves at him.

Articho snaps out of his thoughts and nods in agreement.

"Right." He says, hopping in the driver's seat. The hybrid Saiyan starts up the engine, which gave off an impressive revving sound. The two buckle themselves and Articho steps on the gas, speeding away from the Capsule house.

"Wahhhh!" She gasps at the sudden take off.

"Sorry about that." He chuckles, slowing down a bit. "It'll be awhile before we get there. Maybe some music will help. You wanna have a listen? You can definitely look for some inspiration from my playlist."

"I'd love that." She smiles. "That last song was amazing when you fought against Hokaze."

Articho smiles at that, knowing she likes it. He then attaches his music player to the car's radio, and turns it on, playing a song randomly on the playlist.

(I KU SA plays)

The young man then puts on a pair of shades with red outlines around each lens. He then starts to hum along with the song as he drives down the freeway, passing by a bunch of tall buildings above the streets.

Articho started to sing the words of the song. Arisa listens to the song, enjoying the beat.

"Catchy song." The pop star says.

The song was heard elsewhere within School District 7.

A boy with black spiky hair was humming the words of the song. Next to him was an attractive and considerably buxom light ebony skinned young woman with shoulder-length light-pink hair that has bangs swept on either side, blue eyes that have a shade of pink with pink flower-shaped pupils and a plump butt.

"I wonder who's playing that song." The woman wonders, curiously.

"I'm not sure, but it does sound awfully familiar." The boy told her.

"Wait, isn't that the same singer for the openings of One Punch Man?" The dark skinned woman asks. "What was his name? Kageyama?

"That's right!" The spiky-haired teen snaps his finger in realization. "But I've never heard of this song before."

Elsewhere, a girl with long black hair was in the park as a red retro car passes by.

"I've never seen a car like that in a long time." She admits, staring at the car. The red vehicle was out of her line of sight as it passed her by. "Hmm? I wonder who were those people?"

Inside a convenience store, a girl with brown hair was reading a magazine when she heard the song playing.

"What is that?" She wonders, putting the magazine back on the shelf. The girl looks outside to see a '90s era car driving by.

"That's a very interesting car." She pointed out, as the vehicle leaves out of sight. "Curious."

The car then parks by a sidewalk where the front gate of Sakugawa Middle School is on the other side of the street. The two exit the vehicle before Articho presses a hidden button underneath, exploding it back into Capsule form. He catches it and clicks the top, locking the capsule before putting it away.

"So this is Sakuguwa?" He wonders as he and his friend look at building beyond the front gate. "It looks pretty normal to me."

"Well of course. Since this place doesn't have that much high level espers that they don't get a large budget, unlike some prestigious schools." Arisa answers.

"Reminds me of Orange Star High." He comments to himself.

The two then walk across the street, passing through the gate as the grounds are empty since it's the weekend. "But it is a good place."

Later inside...

"So this is your first time in school?" Their new homeroom teacher asks.

We are now seeing the two teens sitting on a couch together with the adult sitting on another across the coffee table in the teacher's lounge.

"Well, this is Arisa's first time to enroll at a public school." Articho corrects him. "For me, well...it's been awhile."

The teacher nods, understanding.

"And may I ask for your ages?"

"We don't mind." The Time Patroller says. "She's 13 and I just turned 15 a few days ago."

"13, huh? Then that makes her eligible for being a first year." The teacher deduced, straightening his glasses. "And for you, 15 is usually the age for third years. But something tells me the two of you want to be in the same year together?"

"Well sir, the thing is that he's a transfer student from outside Academy City." Arisa explains.

"She's right. If I was put along with the third year students, I wouldn't last long here. That's why I wanna enroll as a first year with Arisa, so I can start from the ground up." He told him.

The teacher was impressed with his words.

"Hmm. I guess that works." He shrugs. "And I agree with you. The third year courses are too advanced for a recently transferred student like yourself. So I think it's considered as a part of the school's guidelines that you begin to learn the basics about Academy City and the Esper curriculum."

The two became excited of the good news.

"Thank you, Mr. Diago." Articho stands up, bowing in respect. "I'm glad that I'm officially part of your class."

"As do I." Arisa agrees, doing the same thing as her friend. "We'll do our best this year."

"I'm glad to hear it." Diago says, toward his new students. "Now the only thing you need now is your uniforms and the tour of the school. I have one of my best students to help you out with that."

"Ya don't say?" The Saiyan smirks. "I can't wait to meet them."

"Alright, you can come in now." The teacher calls out from outside the lounge.

The door to outside of the room opens as a fellow Sakugawa student walks in. It was a girl with short black hair, a headband with flowers on her head, as well as wearing the female Sakugawa sailor uniforms. She even had a very cute and innocent appearance.

"Are they going to be my new classmates, Sensei?" The young girl asked.

"Yes indeed." He smiles at his number one student in his homeroom, if not the entire school. "I will like you to meet Articho and Arisa Meigo."

"Yo!" Articho greets with a hand salute.

"Hello." Arisa exclaimed with a smile.

"Nice to meet you too, my name is Kazari Uiharu." The girl says, giving a bow.

"To you as well, Uiharu." The other two, doing the same thing.

"I leave them in your hands, Uiharu." The homeroom teacher tells his best student. He got out of his seat and walks out of the room.

"I won't let you down." The headband girl answers.

"I know you won't." Diago smiles, before closing the door.

The three teenagers are now left alone.

"If it's all the same to you, we'd love to have a tour of the place."

"Of course. I would love to show you." The girl told her new classmates.

And so, Articho and Arisa were shown around the school grounds, courtesy of their new classmate Uiharu.

The hybrid Saiyans favorite places in the school of course where the home economic class and the cafeteria. And as for Arisa, she really loved the music room. Oh! As well as the mathematics class.

The three students are now walking out of the school.

"Thank you for showing us around." Arisa bows.

"Oh, the pleasure's all mine." Uiharu answers.

"I hope we become besties." The boy smirks.

"As do I, Articho." She returns the smirk with her own. "If you don't mind me asking, what's your last name?"

"Me?" He points to himself. "Well, my surname doesn't sound catchy with my birth name. It's more fitting with my relatives. But my full name is Son Articho."

"Yeah, I don't think it's catchy at all." The pink haired girl sweat drops. "You sound better without a last name."

"Gee, thanks, Arisa." He chuckles sheepishly.

Just then, Uiharu's phone rings.

"Hmm?" The flower headed girl hums curiously, looking at her phone before looking at her new classmates. "Um, you don't mind if I answer this, do you?"

The two teens extended their right hands, gesturing to answer it since the call could be important to her.

Uiharu answers it.

"Hello?" She says. "Oh, hey Shirai!"

"Huh?" Articho and Arisa perked up at the name.

"Oh, I was just showing some new classmates around my school." The headband girl says to her friend.

"Right now?"

Hearing that got the two teenagers attention.

"And there will be two civilian coming?" She further asks. "Who?"

When she received a response, Uiharu turns to look towards Articho and Arisa, respectively. Then she went back to her phone.

"What a weird coincidence, those two are the new classmates I was talking about."

"THEY'RE WHAT?!" Kuroko at the other end screams. The three teens flinched really hard.

"Ouch!" Uiharu says, her ears ringing.

"Sorry!" The teleporter told her. "It just... I only just met them yesterday."

"Really?" The flower headed girl asks with a surprised look on her face.

"Yes." Her partner confirms. "They're gonna be coming inside the Garden of Learning to help me on a case I've been working on."

"Oh! Now I understand. I'll head to the office." Uiharu answers, talking to her partner. "I'll be your eyes and ears as always. Talk to you in a bit."

She then hangs up, and turns towards her new classmates.

"It seems my partner is waiting for you near the front gate of Tokiwadai Middle School." The Judgement officer explains.

"Don't worry." Articho assures. "We'll find our way around the Garden of Learning. Thanks again for the school tour, though. Looking forward in getting to know you more on Monday."

"Of course. And I'm sure that my best friend will be happy to see you. Especially you, Arisa."

"Really?" She asks with a curious expression.

"You bet!" Uiharu smiles. "I'll keep it as a surprise for you and her. But anyway, I'm off to the Judgement office. Good luck helping Shirai out. See ya later!"

"See ya!"

They waved as Uiharu then takes her leave, running off down the sidewalk.

"Alright, what do ya say we make a break for it?" Articho suggests. "I don't think it's far from where we are now."

"You're right. Let's go save Tokiwadai." She nods.

"Race you there!" He says, sprinting away.

"Oh you're on!" She says, chasing after her friend.

To be continued...
