Just as he was heading out of the Peninsula, he looked at his watch, only for the time to be really late and hoping to catch the Yamanote metro line back to his home in the district of Ueno, Tokyo. He thankfully made it, only to be deep in thoughts and missing his station, coming to his senses the station after it. He had to walk back to his district, which wasn't too bad, about a 20 minute walk from where he was to his home. However, he needed to be up early to help out his friend Hanta Sero with moving. Oh well, can't do anything about it. As he was walking home, all kinds of thoughts played through his mind.
He has met a very cute and handsome guy. The night was incredible, he hasn't had such good sex in a long while. Only for it to end a bit...awkwardly. He wonders how the night would have been if there was no money involved. He is contemplating whether this was all a good idea, only to shake his head immediately after thinking that. No, he should be living his life without regrets. He actually wanted it, he enjoyed it, he wanted to make Bakugou feel special. Before he went up the hotel room, his thoughts were how he could make Bakugou squirm from pleasure, tease him and make him beg for more. Well, he succeeded in that, and he couldn't help but find Bakugou's impatience and slight irritation adorable.
However, the more minutes they shared together in their intimate moments, the more invested he was, the more he felt like he wanted the best for him. Which is also why in that one moment he stopped to take a look at Bakugou, he couldn't help but call him gorgeous, and then just keep praising him more. Whenever he shared an intimate moment with someone, his words were always genuine. When he used to be doing such service, he always made sure to respect the other person and their boundaries. He always made it as much of a positive experience as possible, letting them stay overnight, making them some nice food, using his bathroom for showers, whatever they needed before they left. There was even a guy, married with kids and a stable job, who was nervous and Kirishima, instead of sleeping with him and taking his money, would listen to his worries and get a thank you back from the man from not screwing things up for him and his family. These kinds of situations have earned him trust and a lot of people coming back to him. He stopped doing it once his performances reached such huge popularity and he earned more than enough.
Although this time, things were different. He felt like he couldn't put all his thoughts into words, felt like whatever he said to Bakugou wasn't enough and he just wanted to shower him with more and more kisses, hold his hands and embrace him. Did he go too far? If he would have overstepped any boundaries, he would have stopped immediately. Bakugou never told him no, until the end. How could somebody not like cuddling after sex? He LOVED it. There was nobody he shared his night with that wouldn't like it! When Bakugou said no, Kirishima felt in that moment like he hesitated for some reason. He didn't want to make him feel uncomfortable, so he didn't touch on the topic further and only asked if he could go for a shower.
He was wondering if Bakugou took his words before he left the hotel room seriously, which is why he was so silent, or just outright ignored them. There..could have been a second time, no? Kirishima would have not taken any money from him.
Maybe he was just really overthinking things. He has nobody to blame but himself really for the situation. After all, Bakugou said: "Get the job done and you can leave." , meaning that he just probably had no intention of meeting a second time. He was probably just a different customer, not like those frequent ones he had and opened up to him.
He reached his apartment, not wanting to do anything and just change into his pyjamas, brush his teeth and go to sleep. He couldn't sleep and kept looking at the ceiling. Only later did he manage to doze off and start to fall into a deep slumber.
--
Once his alarm went off, it felt like he had slept 10 minutes. Oh well, at least packing and carrying around boxes all day will keep him busy.
When he was a teenager and young adult, he did not care about his appearance and most of the time would wear old used wrinkly clothes, bought the most basic shampoo, soaps and hygienic products before starting to work at the club. It's not like he was able to afford any of what he owns now anyways. Now with all these riches, working hard and training at his own small gym in the apartment, he made sure to always look good and stylish by buying himself better quality products, modern and fashionable sportswear. Eating well, too. All the skin-care products he uses, keeping his hair well-kept, it always took him at least an hour to get ready. Since he is helping out his friend with moving, he put his hair in a long braid and geling some of his shorter hair with spikes, putting on some black sweatpants that had two white stripes on the sides, his white converse, a red shirt and on top of that a black and white summer jacket that he can wrap around his waist should it be a bit warmer today. He also brought some gloves without fingers. His hands were already a bit calloused, despite him using gloves when training, or using good hand cream.
It took him about an hour to get to the apartment complex, soon being greeted by his old friend from high school: "Yo, Kirishima! Thanks for helping me out!" They both grinned, giving themselves a friendly high five. "Hey Sero, congratulations on the promotion!" Sero was a graphic designer at a very well known and renowned gaming company and due to his raise and hard work, he and his girlfriend could afford to move to a better and bigger apartment for themselves. Kirishima and Kaminari offered to help him out, Sero's girlfriend Yui had work today, so she couldn't be there. "Yo, thanks! Can't believe it myself, but all the hard work me and Yui have been putting in has been working out." It looks like Kaminari wasn't there yet, so he asked about him. "Kaminari just called me a few minutes before you arrived that he is stuck in traffic, but he should be here in about 30 minutes he said."
Kaminari offered Sero that he can bring his smaller sized truck to move all the boxes to Sero's new place. Kaminari has always been passionate about music and he and his band have been on the rise of popularity lately, which is why they used the truck they all chimed in on to move their musical instruments whenever they had clubs and concerts across Japan to move them around.
"In that case, where do you want to start?"
"I still have a few fragile items that need to be put into boxes and a lot of the boxes still need taping. Sorry about the inconvenience, me and Yui were underestimating how long this would take. It shouldn't take more than 1 or 2 hours. I promise to make it up to you two."
Sero looked a bit tired, they must have worked till late in the evening yesterday to pack up more stuff. No wonder though, they are both busy working people, so finding the time to work and on top of that moving and packing must be quite stressful.
"Hey, no problem buddy, I am yours for the entire day."
"Thanks, I am so glad to have you here, you are the strongest of us three."
Both of them went up to Sero's apartment on the third floor of a large twenty floor apartment complex. Thank goodness it wasn't that high, because despite having an elevator, there were boxes that would definitely not fit in it, so they needed to be carried down the stairs. Kirishima and Sero went to work, to which not long after, Kaminari arrived too, greeting them both and giving them high fives. After finally managing to get all boxes wrapped up and finished, they moved them all one by one to Kaminari's truck, which took them so many hours to do. It was already 2PM soon and they were starving.
"Alright guys, brace yourselves, because today we are going to the best yakiniku place in this district, on the house by yours truly!" Sero was proudly grinning while pointing with his thumb at himself.
Kirishima and Kaminari both yelled "YAKINIKU!" at once, excited beyond belief. Kirishima adored pretty much any kind of meaty products and given all his exercises, he needs all the protein.
The truck was safely locked and the restaurant was located just a few streets away.
As they enjoyed their food, they chatted about what was going on with them after they last met. Since Sero and his girlfriend were moving to a bigger and nicer place, they have been considering adopting two cats. Kaminari spoke about his bands' latest concerts, which have been highly successful and how their release of their first album also got them a good amount of sales online.
"What about you Kirishima? Anything new from you? Oooor, by any chance a cute girl or a handsome guy?" Kaminari was smirking while leaning his arm on Kirishima's shoulder.
Both Sero and Kaminari knew about his job at the club. Kirishima did not have the courage to tell them until about a few years ago, because those two have been his only friends and contact that remained from his hometown Sendai. When he finally told them the truth about his job, his colleagues, his bosses and everything he could think of during that moment, they were surprisingly supportive, which made Kirishima glad. "Hey, if that pays your bills and you are happy, then you do you!" Other than the usual stuff he does, he really didn't know much he could be talking about. So all he could do was mention Bakugou.
"Well, there is this cute guy named Bakugou..."
"Wait, Bakugou? Oh man, Sero, imagine this was Katsuki Bakugou, owner and CEO of Bakuhatsu Motor Corporation." Kaminari couldn't help but joke.
"Oh c'mon Kaminari, there is no way, there are tons of guys with that name. Right, Kirishima?" Sero laughed.
Sero and Kaminari adored cars, even more so Bakuhatsu for it's original and modern designed models, though not cheap. Bakuhatsu is currently one of the current leading car companies in the world. Sero and Kaminari could easily talk for hours about such one topic, which completely flew by Kirishima's head. He kinda wished he didn't mention it now, because he realized only now that he didn't know Bakugou's full name. So all he could do was lie about it.
"Yeah, of course, that's not him."
They did ask Kirishima a few details about his looks, what he is like, how long they have been together, and so on, to which Kirishima mostly tried to give vague answers.
"Hey man, I hope it works out for you. Not since M…"
Sero immediately interrupted Kaminari before he could finish the sentence: "Kaminari, talking about him is prohibited!", only for Kaminari to hold his mouth, looking a bit troubled and anxious.
"...I am sorry Kirishima, did not mean to open any old wounds."
"Hey, it's fine, don't worry about it! I really appreciate your encouragement." Kirishima smiled and did not want all the friendly banter and fun to be interrupted by a gloomy atmosphere.
As they made more lighthearted conversations and finished lunch, they made their way back onto the truck and drove together to Sero's new location. They brought all the boxes to the new apartment one by one and by the time they were finally done, it was already after 7 in the evening. Sero thanked both Kirishima and Kaminari for the help and they all said their goodbyes.
As Kirishima was walking to the station, he couldn't help but be deep in thoughts once he was alone and think of his first crush, which then turned out to be love. However, things didn't work out between them, sadly. Wherever he is currently, Kirishima hopes that he is happy and doing well.
Just as he was nearing his home, looking at his phone screen, which read Friday, 8:45PM, he got a sudden phone call. It was no other than his friend and soulmate Kyoka Jirou, their club's bartender.
"Eiji! Can't wait to see you tomorrow! Hope I am not interrupting."
"Jirou! Not at all, glad you called. What's up?"
"Hey, you've got plans for what to make for Sunday already?"
"No, I didn't really have anything in mind yet. You?"
"Well, I was thinking that since I am already hanging out at your place tomorrow, that we could prepare something together? I think I've got some ideas!"
"Absolutely, I'd be happy to! In that case, don't you want to sleep at my place? That way we can just go and bring everything together on Sunday."
"If you don't mind me bringing Kiki along."
"No staying at my place unless Kiki comes along."
They both laughed through their phones. Kirishima and Jirou were like brother and sister, instantly getting along once Jirou started to work at the club a few years after Kirishima. Kiki was Jirou's silver brindle Akita Inu. Kiki was a very well behaved and playful dog, albeit a bit too excited sometimes, scaring people. Every time Kiki would want to approach other people, Jirou tells her to stay and Kiki would behave and sit, but whine and impatiently stomp with her front legs while in sitting position. It was always a funny sight. Kirishima always loved it when Jirou brought Kiki along.
As they communicated further, they decided that Jirou will come to Kirishima's place for lunch and then do all their plans from there.
Kirishima hung up and he was glad that Jirou called and that she will stay at his place for the night. It will be a nice distraction from what happened yesterday.
Finally he arrived home and took a nice warm shower. Today's work was so exhausting that he was too tired to wash his hair, so he decided to do that tomorrow before Jirou arrived. As he got into bed, he fell asleep immediately.
--
On the next day, he woke up at a reasonable time, having enough time to make himself breakfast, work out and take a nice bath, wash and dry his hair before cooking lunch for Jirou and himself.
This time, he decided to prepare a delicious japanese chicken and egg bowl - oyako donburi, for both of them. This was always a popular dish among home cooks, Kirishima included.
As it was close to 1PM, the doorbell rang. Kirishima was hearing barking outside of his front door. He excitedly opened the door, only to be embraced by none other than Jirou herself.
This was completely normal for them. They always hugged and gave each other kisses on their cheeks whenever they met. Whenever they walked together, Jirou would always put her hands around Kirishima's arm, which he happily took, they were laughing, talking a lot, with no care in the world with the people around them. Many people mistake them for being a couple, which they never were. They were always so close that neither minded telling about their pasts, troubles and deepest secrets. There was never a moment where it would be awkward for them. They always liked their relationship as it is. As they embraced, Kiki was scratching his leg excitedly and whining, wanting some pets.
"Oh, I am sorry Kiki, come here." Kirishima petted her head and back with both of his hands as he let go of Jirou. Kiki then took the opportunity to lick Kirishima's nose once he got on her level.
"Eiji, I brought us some strawberry shortcake from your favorite place!"
Kirishima couldn't help but beam from excitement. His favorite sweets bakery "Sugarman" has all types of delicious stuff, ranging from all kinds of flavored cakes, pies, muffins, cream puffs, macarons, he could go on. Kirishima's favorite was still their strawberry shortcake, which was also one of their most sold items. The owner was a guy named Rikido Sato, a very tall and muscular man that looks like anything but a sweets confectioner.
"I am so excited, thank you! How do you always manage to get some for us?"
"I figured out when it doesn't sell out as fast as on some other days. Let's have some after! ...Speaking of lunch, that smells delicious!"
"I made us some donburi, come in!"
Jirou took off her platforms and invited herself in with Kiki. Today she wore a plain black shirt with the image of "The Dark Side of the Moon" album from Pink Floyd, blue ripped jeans and all her armbands and choker around her neck that she always puts on. Kirishima always loved her punky outfits, and despite her petite size, she looked badass.
Together, while they enjoyed their meal, Jirou showed a bunch of really nice recipes that they could prepare together for tomorrow's get-together with the others of the club.
"Ashido already called first dibs on onigiri, so that's a no go, pretty sure you saw that on our LINE group chat. Some others had ideas in mind too, so I was looking around things that are different from what they mentioned."
Kirishima liked all of her ideas, so they settled that they would make some Japanese sandwiches in different kinds of flavors and variety: egg, tuna-mayo, pork cutlets, vegetables and even add some good fruit sandwiches to add a sweet flavored one as well. Jirou already typed in the group chat, so others wouldn't snag their idea.
They always spent their get-togethers by chatting a lot, playing video games, watching movies together, all the regular things. This time though, since Jirou will be sleeping at his place this night, they went out with Kiki sometime in the afternoon to play with her at the park, then get all the groceries, prepare some of the fillings for the sandwiches in advance and then finish the rest the next day before they are on their way to the club together.
Just as they were taking another walk with Kiki before the evening to take showers and go to sleep, Jirou noticed something about Kirishima that was a bit off.
"Hey Eiji?"
"What's up, Jirou?"
"You seem a bit different, is everything alright?"
She looked a bit concerned. Was it that obvious on him for what happened to him on Thursday? Of course, he would never lie to her, so he answered.
"I am alright, no worries. Though on Thursday, there was something that happened and it left me...a bit perplexed I guess."
So he started to tell her everything about what happened between him and Bakugou. The alleyway after he left the club, the hotel room, sex, how Kirishima called him gorgeous, Bakugou's behaviour towards him, his what seemed like hesitation to Kirishima, the awkwardness between after what happened, everything that came into Kirishima's mind at that moment. He actually mentioned when he told Sero and Kaminari about him, regretting that he didn't know Bakugou's full name and even mentioned their jokes about the car company. Jirou was listening to every word of his. After Kirishima was done, she was deep in thought for a bit, though it wasn't long when she asked.
"Before I state my opinion, the way you described his looks and his clothing, did he by any chance have rings around all his fingers as well, looking all smug and posh?"
"Yes! How do you know? Do you know him?"
"So it was him! Well to answer your question, yes and no. He came to the club while you were still performing that night. He was a bit unlucky, because he arrived just about 10 minutes before your performance ended. I could see that he wouldn't take his eyes off you. After you finished, he seemed a bit...upset? Angry? He came to me and asked me immediately when you would perform again. After I told him that you will surely perform on Wednesday, he went silent for a bit, thanked me, and left the club. So he went to look for you it seems."
"Is that so?" This surprised him a bit.
"Honestly? First, considering he asked me when your next performance is, I assume he wants or at least wanted to see you again? He seemed even more upset when I told him the day, maybe he will not be here on Wednesday? I mean, he is or was staying at a hotel after all, so he surely is not from around here. Second, what Sero and Kaminari mentioned, that would be one hell of a coincidence if it was Bakuhatsu's owner. You went into the Peninsula, right? That hotel is well-known for being one of the most luxurious hotels in Japan, it even ranks high in the world. The fact he didn't hesitate for a bit to give you so much money shows that he must be very rich. Third...it's more of a question, but do you regret taking money from him? Could it be that you are having feelings for him?"
Kirishima wasn't sure what he could say. The money? The moment he met Bakugou, he was at first not sure what to make of him. He absolutely did not need the money. He has never gotten that much from one night before, he admits that he made the sum up. At first he just wanted to go home, then Kirishima took a look at Bakugou and he was...intimidated? The way he talked, his body language and everything, he wanted to know more about him. Though everything was happening quickly during that moment in the alleyway, he had no time to think. Was he just looking to have a one-night stand, leaving everything behind? Feelings for him? Does Kirishima feel that towards him? One thing he knows, he does regret taking the money, he should have just left it there at the table. He would gladly meet Bakugou again.
"Hmm, in this case, if he is still at the Peninsula, do you want to talk to him again? If you regret taking the money, you could take it with you and after our get-together with the guys tomorrow, you could see if he is there and offer him the money back? From there, you could see how he reacts. I mean, you don't have to be together again if you don't have feelings, but if this has been bothering you since Thursday, then it might be worth looking into?"
That wasn't a bad idea actually. He wonders if it wouldn't be weird of him to just sneakily intrude into the hotel again. He can't help it though, he would like to see Bakugou again and talk to him some more, maybe clearing things up a bit. Now he is hoping that he will be still there.
