I run my tongue over my teeth. Al glances at me curiously. I grip the porcelain of the sink, my arms shaking at the thought of repeating this story again… A boy with purple eyes and wild, tri-colored hair smiling flashes in front of my eyes. I tilt my head down, shadowing my upper face. "When I was younger, almost three years ago, my sister and I were given a scholarship to some private school neither we nor our parents had ever heard of. But my mother isn't one to pass up a scholarship to some prestigious school. We went and, when we arrived, we found out it was a school for aspiring heroes from multiple worlds. We met the superintendent, who also happened to be the god of all creation. The man I now work for. He gave us our powers and told us to use them however we liked, so long as we didn't upset the order of the multiverse." I rub little circles with my fingers, licking my lips nervously. "We traveled around and visited all sorts of people, some we had met in school, others we just stumbled upon." "What happened?" he asks. My knees start shivering so I turn and sit on the couch.

"While on a little break, our universe collided with another, blocking our powers and preventing us from leaving as long as the worlds were one. We met a group of people…" I stop and clear my throat, my voice cracking some and my stomach rolling. "We all found that we got along pretty well. After awhile, I got really close with one boy in particular. We went through some tough times, nearly died some, but it was pretty well worth it… Until, one day, it went too far…" Al watches me as liquid rolls down my face. I sniff but don't stop the tears. My stomach burns and clenches a few times. I cough a little before I can finally continue. "Two of the guys got a hold of some really powerful objects, things we had all thought were long gone. They had been problems in the past, but this time… it was a thousand times worse than anything they could have done on their own…" My knees quake and I lean my elbows on them, holding my face in my hands, swaying my knees back and forth. Al puts a comforting hand on my back as I struggle to hold back painful tears and memories.

"Bakura used one of the items to take control of my mind." I say, my voice cracking. "He forced me to duel Yami, the boy I was dating at the time…" I whimper at the thought of the boy I had given my heart and soul to. "I don't know what exactly happened, but… Lillian got control of my body, and threw both Bakura and Melvin to the Shadow Realm." I sniff, clear my throat and sit up. "She nearly killed Yami, but he managed to break through her enough to call to me…" I wipe my arm across my face. "A few years of peace came by and I thought that my sister and I would finally get the time of peace we so desperately deserve. But… but…" I look down at my lap, gripping my knees. "The Man Upstairs, my boss… He pulled the two worlds apart and reverted both of them to the time just before our worlds collided. ...He wiped all of our world's memories of the time we had all spent… everyone but our group no longer remembered those 20 some years we spent together…" My lip quivers as tears spill over, dripping onto my hands and staining my cheeks. "I… I didn't know… how to cope with it… s-so… I spent the next year at home… I refused to leave for anything... until the Multiverse nearly destroyed itself… and then… when I thought I ought to get back on my feet…" I laugh bitterly. "H-He sends me here…. N-no signs, no warning… heheh… I… I've never been hurt so much… by something that never happened…" I lick my lips and chuckle sourly. "I found out not long ago… that I was born with a soul that isn't supposed to be tainted in anyway for several lifetimes…. And, in an attempt to remain pure, my soul threw all darkness it got into a spot in my body where it built up. Ever since I was little. And it created a second soul in my body… changed me forever… made me who I am… by creating a psychopath…" My voice has dropped so low in volume, that I can hardly even hear myself. Al glances back at his own lap. I chuckle. "That's not even the worst part…" I wipe away my tears and sit up, forcing a smile and a whimpy giggle. "But it's already too dark of an atmosphere for me right now. I'll tell you later ok? I kinda wanna go check on Ed. We did kind of leave him with Ross and we haven't got a clue when Armstrong might show up!" I laugh at the idea of the Major crushing Ed. Al looks up at me and blinks. I stand up and hold a hand out to the younger boy. "C'mon, let's go save your poor brother." Al stands and takes my hand. I then turn and lead/drag him to Ed's room.

When we get there, I open the door to see Ed wrapped up in even more bandaging. I deadpan and attempt to fathom what the hell happened as Al sits by the foot of the bed. "Wha- how… what…" I facepalm, shaking my head. "What even…" Ed sighs. "I dun manna talck bouf et." I sigh when I hear a rumbling noise, everyone but Al turns to Ed. He grumbles unhappily as I grin. "If you give me your pocket watch, I'll run down the hall and get you some food." Ed glares at me suspiciously. "No need." says Ross. "They'll bring in some food for him soon enough." I pout unhappily. "But Rosssssss! I'm hungry too~!" She sighs. "Fine, go and get something to eat." She hands me some change from her pocket. I hold one the shiny golden coins with vaguely earth kingdom-like symbols in front of my face. "How much money is this?" Ross sighs. "About 500 cenz." I tilt my head. "How much will that get me?" "A full meal, now go!" Ross shoos me out of the room and closes the door. I grumble and wander about to look for the cafeteria.

'You've been rather quiet lately. Something on your mind?' 'None of *yawn* your business.' I sigh. 'So much for conversation.' 'I can still hear you dumbass. We share the same head, remember?' I roll my eyes. 'Yes, Lilly. I know.' 'Goo- STOP CALLING ME THAT!' I sigh and scratch the back of my head. "Whatever." My stomach growls softly and I glance around to be sure no one heard. Not that there's a lot of people at a place this small. Once I'm sure there's no one about, an idea pops into my head. I smirk and snap, my iphone popping into my hand from the void… err, hammer space or wherever it is that my stuff goes to. I plug in a pair of earbuds that are practically invisible when my hair covers my ears and the cord is tucked under my shirt and to my pocket. I snap, switching to a clean green tank top, capris and a nice and clean, extra large grey sweatshirt. I drop my iphone through the head hole and into my pocket (cause I'm that good). I actually like wearing the big black combat boots for some reason. Huh. I shrug off the thought for a later date, scrolling through my songs when one song hits me in the noggin. I smack the heel of my hand to my forehead. "Duh. I'm in FMA. I should listen to one of the theme songs." I pull up Youtube, think better of, and open the ListenOnRepeat website and bring up the… oh, what is it, the third opening? Well, I open the song "Period" by Chemistry. As the song starts playing, I grin and bob my head side to side. 'God I love this song! Best of the openings!' I glance about, still bobbing my head when I smell food. I pause the song so I can hear properly and let the ear buds hang over my shoulders, thankfully still hidden from view. I think.

I walk inside to find that the room looks an awful lot like my elementary school cafeteria. I walk up to the line where a handful of people are getting food from. I pick up a tray and walk down the line, finding alot of food I already like. Mashed potatoes with a slab of butter and a hearty sprinkling of garlic powder, chicken breast with barbecue sauce (not Montgomery Inn, but yummy all the same.) and frigging chocolate cake with chocolate chips and frosting! I fist pump slightly at the discovery of my treasure. The only drinks they have are a couple different types of milk, water from an apparent nearby spring, lemonade in glass bottles that look like recycled milk bottles, and some weird orange-ish thing that I assume is some type of beer. I grab a couple lemonades, knowing I'm going to end up either sharing with Ed or needing them in the middle of something. I walk up to the register and hand the lady at the counter the money Ross gave. She counts it out and hands me three silver coins with the country's emblem on them. I smile and nod, stuffing the change in my sweatshirt pocket. I pick up my tray of food and head back to the room, sticking the other bottles of lemonade into my sweatshirt pocket. 'Damn, I never noticed how handy these damn things are.' I carry my tray, beaming happily. Officially, judging by the clocks on the walls, it's only 10 in the morning, but I want lunch. I didn't have breakfast so I guess I'm skipping.

I pop one of the earbuds back in and resume the song, humming along. I can actually remember where the room is, which is awesome on my part. "Lisa?" I glance about, curious as to who called my name. "Lisa!" I do a 180 on my heels when I spot the person calling my name. She jogs up to me, lugging her suitcase on wheels behind her. I smile and chuckle. "Hey Winry. I didn't think you'd be here so fast." Winry scoffs and rolls her eyes. "Ed called at nearly midnight so I made sure to get the next train to come and fix the idiot's automail." I laugh and nod. "Yeah I know." We both smile and continue walking back to the room. "So, what exactly happened to Ed?" I shrug. "Hell if I know. I was helping Al out." My voice quiets as I explain. "We snuck out to the 5th lab to check it out and Ed went inside, probably got into a fight, while Al and I had to hold off some psycho in a suit of armor outside. From what I saw, it's been dislocated slightly." I grin at her, a glint in my eyes. "You forgot one of the bolts didn't you?" Winry jumps and yelps. "H-how did you-" I grin and roll my eyes, tapping my forehead. "Duh, I can tell the future… sorta." Winry deadpans and sighs. "Ed's gunna flip." I shake my head. "Nope. The idiot doesn't even know." She looks up at me in surprise. "Really?" I nod. "Yup. He's an idiot who doesn't pay attention, you know." She sighs, relieved. I pull out one of my lemonades and offer it to her. "Lemonade?" I ask. She frowns and glances at me. "I bought some for lunch. I bought a couple extra so I won't have to run back and forth." She shrugs. "Ok then." I shrug. "Your loss." and stick the bottle back into my sweatshirt pocket. We get to the room and I kick the door open, skipping over to the window where a table is set up while Winry freaks out on Ed being mummified. As I eat I hear Winry get all sad about forgetting that one piece. I sigh. 'I swear to God… I was attempting to avoid the awkward silence.' I turn around as Ed starts to "convince" Winry that he was just an idiot and broke it. I shake my head, pinching the bridge of my nose as Winry perks right back up and starts going on about making Ed pay extra for her coming out here. I shake my head again when I hear the rattling of change. 'Oh yeah!' I stand up and walk up to Ross, handing her back the change. "Here! This is what the cashier gave me back." Ross frowns and counts out the change. "You shouldn't have gotten any change back." I frown and glance at my food. "You sure?" She nods. I shrug. "Eh, oh well." I spin around and go back to finish eating.

Suddenly:

"THIS IS WHY YOU'RE ALWAYS GONNA BE THE SIZE OF A PEA!"

I spin around to see Ed, Winry and Armstrong flipping their shit about milk… I sigh and chuckle. "You guys are all crazy." I feel an embarrassed sweat on my neck when the door shuts silently. We all stop and turn to the door. "Al?" Ed's voice echoes slightly in the deathly silent room. I sigh again, this time, feeling a bit sad. 'Al… I'm sorry. I tried to help, but… *another freaking sigh* It seems I can't help you.' I turn back around and quietly finish eating as Winry starts working on Ed's arm. I put my earbuds back in as she works, letting me ignore what they're saying. I hum along and sip one of my lemonades.

I nearly fall out my chair when I feel a hand on shoulder. I yelp and rip one ear bud out, spinning around to face whoever just scared the piss out of me. Ed jumps back nearly 3 feet from my over-reaction, eyes wide in surprise. I let out a relieved sigh and pause my song and pull out my other earbud. "Jesus Christ, you gave me a fucking heart attack you little bastard." "WHO ARE YOU CALLING LITTLE, YOU TWO FACED BI-!" Ed's little rant is cut short by Winry hitting him over the head with a wrench, eye twitching as a vein pops on her forehead. "If you even think about it." Ed drops onto his bum, cross-legged and clutching his head, growling to himself as I smile at Winry, chuckling. "Nice."

*BAM*

We all jump and spin around as Maes enters the room. "Hey Ed!" He shouts, waving his arm above his head. "I heard you snuck another girl into your room!" Ed collapses, face first, to the ground, his side wound splurting some blood as Winry and I exchange glances of 'Well all~RIGHTY THEN!' "She's just my automail mechanic…" Maes strokes his chin stubble as Ed sweats nervously. "You hooked up with your mechanic, huh?" As Maes and Ed speak about Winry, I can't help the tiniest nerves in my stomach ball up. 'What the hell? No… no way… I can't be…. jealous? Can I? No, I've only known Ed for a few weeks and he's been an ass the whole time...right?' Ed sighs and introduces Maes to Winry as I grumble and toss my feelings back and forth, attempting to figure out my own mind. 'I can't… LIKE Ed… can I? I mean, I kinda liked him in the show, even if he's an idiotic jerk who complains more about his height than my sister. He eats, like, 20 pounds of food! He's super immature, annoying, an asshole about 95% of things I do, he has that annoyingly goofy looking grin, those ridiculously cute puppy eyes, that ridiculously adorable thing he does when he gets mad and… WOAH WAIT! HOLD THE PHONE! THAT A STEP BACK THERE SWEETHEART, WHAT WAS THAT?!' I nearly spit-take my lemonade at my own thoughts, managing to swallow it down, exhaling in surprise. 'REWIND THAT LAST PART PLEASE!' Lillian sighs and I hear a tape rewind for a moment. A click follows and my voice plays back in my mind. -he has that annoyingly goofy looking grin, those ridiculously cute puppy eyes, that ridiculously adorable thing he does when he gets mad and…' I shake my head, attempting to put my thoughts in some form of order. 'Jesus fucking Christ… have I got… DO I HAVE A….' 'YES DUMBASS! YOU HAVE A-' I mentally slap my hand over her mouth. 'Don't you dare say it. I-I… I'm..' She pushes my hand away. 'Not ready to admit it?'I shake my head violently. 'DEFINITELY not ready.'

So, of FREAKING COURSE, someone has to tap my shoulder again. I squeal and nearly jump out of my skin, spinning around to see who it was that had the gall to break me from my thoughts AGAIN. This time, Ed stands his ground, wincing a bit in surprise. He sighs and rubs his finger in his ear. "For the love of… Can you not be so jumpy?" I frown and glare at him. "The frick is your deal, midget?" (midget is supposed to be italicized.) He gets that angry bull impression again. "WHO'RE YOU CALLING SO SMALL HE COULDN'T EVEN BE SQUASHED BY AN ANT?" I jab him in the forehead, grinning slightly. "You, you tiny, itty bitty moron!"

"STOP CALLING ME SHORT, YOU CRAZY LYING ALIEN!"

"I'M NOT AN ALIEN YOU DUMBASS!"

"YOU'RE FROM ANOTHER PLANET!"

"I'M FROM ANOTHER UNIVERSE, NOT ANOTHER PLANET, YOU IDIOT!"

"PSYCHO!"

"DUMBASS!"

"NUTCASE!"

"MIDGET!"

"BITCH!"

Maes steps in and pushes our clashing foreheads apart. "Alright you two, that's enough. Let's not say something we'll regret later." We both harrumph and turn away, crossing our arms. I hear Winry sigh and then a smacking sound I can only assume is her facepalming. Maes steps in front of me and places a hand on my shoulder. "Instead of staying here and being all cooped up with this hothead-" "I'M RIGHT HERE!" "-why don't you come and hang out with Winry and Elicia?" I rock side to side, not sure if I ought to go off. I glance behind me as Ed clambers back into the hospital bed. I sigh and shrug. "Why not? It'll be nice to see Elicia again." Maes grabs my arm and drags me to the door, grabbing Winry as he passes said blonde. I sigh and allow myself to be dragged as Winry starts complaining about it some.

-Roughly an hour later-

I drag my feet as I walk behind Maes and Winry, who are carrying the rest of the things we've bought. "Why *gasp* did we get all this again?" I ask, gasping as my incredibly sore legs throb from walking around a toy store for the past freaking hour. We saw alot of toys while on the way here and I'm pretty sure Maes blew close to a thousand American dollars on these things. Maes glances over his shoulder, grinning cheerfully. "Today's Elysia's birthday!" Winry, who's holding a huge stuffed bear, sighs. Just then the house comes into sight (Ok, I realize that originally, I said they lived in an apartment. .uhm… they moved… yeah.. let's go with that.) Elysia and Gracia are at the the door when we get there, calling hellos. I sigh, unable to hide a smile. "Hi Elysia! Hi Mrs. Gracia!" I call. Elysia nearly flips out when she notices me, running over to hug Maes and waving her little hand at me. I grin and shake it as Maes hugs her, rubbing his chin stubble on her, causing her to squeal and giggle. I turn and smile to Gracia, bowing slightly. "It's great to see you again!" I say. She nods and gestures to Winry. "Who's this you've brought with you? A friend?" Winry and I both look to each other, our looks mirroring the other's. We stare for a moment, frowning thoughtfully, before smiling and nodding. I smile at Gracia and nod. "Yup. This is Winry! She's a friend of Ed and Al's from their childhood! So, in a sense, we're also friends by association." Winry rolls her eyes at my explanation, huffing. I giggle and adjust the three large boxes I'm holding.

Maes introduces Winry to Gracia as I kneel down to hug Elysia. I can't believe I've missed the little tyke so much! I stand up as Winry kneels down and asks Elyisia "How old are you?" Elyisia holds up two fingers. "Tw-" She pauses and I almost believe someone froze her. "No, three!" She bounces up as she says so. Winry and Maes both squiggle, smiling and coo over the goofy child. Winry smiles at the three Hughes' and sighs. "I really appreciate your hospitality, but we wouldn't want to intrude on your daughter's birthday." Maes and Gracia smile. "It's no trouble at all." says Gracia as Maes picks up Elysia, smiling warmly. "The more the merrier, right?" Maes grins at us both cheerfully. "Welcome to the family."

A little while later, Winry and I are celebrating Elyisia's birthday with about a dozen people I don't know. There's cake and games and confetti and streamers. LOTS of streamers. I kind of wander around with a glass of punch. I could be drinking lemonade, but I left it all with Ed so he'd have something to drink. I don't think he noticed me leaving the lemonade on the table tho… so… yeah…

Elyisia opens presents not long after we ate the cake. As she obsesses over the bear Maes got her but was addressed from Winry, I can't help but wonder if I should do something other than poof up some random toy...I frown and tap my chin when I feel someone tug on my pant leg. I glance down in surprise to see a few of the little boys who have been here. "Did you get Elysia a present?" They demand and I glance over to see Elyisia looking up at me with puppy eyes.

I swear to God this child is going to be the reason I die.

I stand and stretch before nodding. "Of course I got my favorite lil' tyke a present!" I kneel down and motion Elyisia closer. She hops up to me, hugging her new bear. "Waddija get me, big sister?!" I grin, and hold up my hand, two fingers up. "Well, I've got two things for ya, sweetheart." I pinch her cheek. She squeaks and clapps her hands to her cheeks and squeals, swinging back and forth. I laugh and reach behind me. I snap as quietly as I can, a small gift that fits the length of my hand appearing. I pull it in front of me quickly, surprising the little girl. She gasps and grabs the gift. I grin as she rips it open, tossing the lid off. She gasps again and holds it up by the chain.

The gift I chose for her was something I knew she'd love: a delicate chain necklace with a star charm roughly the size of my eye with a small green gem in the middle. I smile and hold it up by the charm. "Waddaya think kiddo? You like it?" She giggles, bouncing from one foot to the other. "It's so pretty!" She exclaims. I grin and lean over to her ear. "The gem is a piece of a chaos emerald, so it'll protect you, ok?" She nods happily and hands it to me. "Put it on, put it on!" She begs. I laugh happily and pull the chain over her head and close the clamp behind her neck. She bounces up and down and runs in a circle, showing her new prize off to anyone who will stand still for two second. Specifically, Maes and Winry. I see Maes happily coo over the itty bit and tickle her with his stubble. I sit and wait for her to remember that I have another gift and come running. "What else did you get me?" I smile and put my hand on her head. "Ok, this one, I figured you would love." I grin. "We gotta go outside, cause I forgot to bring it in." I stand and she nearly attaches herself to my arm. I grin and triumphantly led the party goers outside, snapping my fingers as we march out the door. In the backyard is a large, sparkling, pink dollhouse, complete with dolls and little furniture. Elyisia squeals and runs over to it, bouncing up and down as she runs around. "DADDY! MOMMY! LOOK WHAT SISSY GOT ME!" She squeals even louder and I laugh. Maes goes over to fawn over his bouncing baby girl as Gracia buts a hand on my shoulder. "I don't know where you got such a thing, or how we'll fit it in the door, but thank you for being so good to her." I grin. "I do love making her smile."

Once again, I had more, but I figured I ought to stop here. I had this idea of doing a cover for Period and having Lisa sing it instead of giving Elyisia a doll house and then linking the cover but… I don't have time. I'll probably do it at a later date. If you guys would like me to do that, I'll probably make a story of just one-shots of thing Lisa does on her own. Her during the time skips, like those days the guys were studying. Stuff like that. If you'd like to see that happen, I'll try for it. until next time,

Someone probably noticed my chapters bouncing around a bit for a minute there. I posted the wrong chapter somewhere and accidentally skipped one of them. Sorry for the confusion.
