Eiji woke up about an hour earlier just to prepare all the food for breakfast. He made sure not to wake Katsuki any further and quietly left the room.
He put some rice in the rice cooker, took out the marinated wagyu meat chunks to cook it, took out the soy sauce eggs, cut a bunch of vegetables to steam them, prepared some fresh tamagoyaki omelette, seasoned the finished rice with some sesame seeds, bonito flakes and roasted sea greens, cut some other vegetables to make a small-portioned salad, even cooked some small sausages.
Katsuki was already awake then, he could hear the shower being turned on. He will be done just in time.
Just when he was done with all the bits and pieces of food, he slowly and carefully put them in the bento boxes for both Katsuki and Momo. He was really proud of making it look good and well-put together. Just as he put everything together, closed the lids of the boxes and put them in drawstring bags to carry them around easier, he heard a knock on the door.
He ran towards it, opened it and of course it was Momo. She looked lovely in her grey suit and blue and white striped shirt underneath.
"Good morning, Eiji-san!" She let out a sweet and gentle smile.
"Good morning, Momo-san! Come in, Katsuki should be done soon."
Just as he closed the door after she came in, Katsuki was ready to go, all dressed up.
"Oh, good morning Momo."
"Morning, Bakugou-san."
Eiji went into the kitchen to pick up both of the bento boxes for them, then handed them over to them.
"I hope you will enjoy what I prepared. Would you like some green tea as well? I have a thermos that holds two cups that I can pour it in."
"If you don't mind, I would love to have some!" Momo added.
He poured the tea for them and handed the thermos to Katsuki.
"Good luck at work!"
Just as Momo said thank you and was opening the door of the suite with her back on both of the guys, Katsuki gave a quick kiss on his cheek without Momo noticing.
"See you later, Eiji."
Just that small quick kiss made the redhead feel all giddy. He hopes this could become a daily ritual for them where he could cook food for Katsuki and receive kisses in exchange.
They were then gone. Great, now he has some time to enjoy breakfast by himself. Momo told him that he would be picked up by another guy for some fun activities for the day. She didn't tell him what the activities would be, but he will find out soon enough.
Just as he was about to eat, he heard another knock on the door. He was really confused. Did Katsuki forget something? He would open the door by himself though.
Nevertheless, he went to open the door, when he was greeted by a familiar face.
"Heyo, Eiji! Good to see you!"
The person standing right in front of him was Hawks. He was much more casually dressed than the dinner that he attended back in Honolulu. He was wearing a dark blue button up short-sleeved shirt with patterns of red hawk silhouettes on it, some beige pants, wearing the latest Balenciaga Triple S Sneakers in white color and just like last time, tons of jewelry around his arm, neck and some small earrings, and wearing some red-shaded sunglasses. He had the same messy looking hair like last time.
"Hawks-san?? What are you doing here??"
"Momo-san told you that we will be having some fun activities today."
Hawks just invited himself in with a smile without even thinking.
"Yeah, she did, I just didn't know it would be you. Besides...I am sorry if I am being rude, Hawks-san, but aren't we supposed to meet at 10AM? It's only 8AM, and I am nowhere near ready…"
This was really embarrassing for him. To Eiji, Hawks was a celebrity, and seeing him come into the suite while he is only in his pajamas was really awkward for him. Not to mention that he didn't even do his hair, or washed himself properly yet, he was out of bed and has been only preparing food.
"Eiji, relax! You look fine in those pajamas and that braid looks really good on you! Of course we will start at 10AM, but since I woke up early, I thought I might as well knock early and wait for you….oooh and I smell food!"
He just barged into the kitchen without invitation, now he kinda understands why Katsuki considers him a bit annoying, but...he didn't mind it as much, he just wished he looked more appropriate in front of someone he admires.
"Is that wagyu meat? One of my favorites!!"
Kirishima was visibly very nervous, and he hesitated for a second, but he couldn't not ask him. He didn't say that it was him who cooked it, so if by any chance Hawks doesn't like it, he can just say it was made by the hotel. Though lying to him would be so awful.
"Perhaps you wouldn't be interested in having some with me? I was just about to eat."
"Oooh, may I?" Hawks just beamed from excitement and sat down on one of the chairs in the living room.
Kirishima then served him some of the green tea he made and served all the food he made onto a large plate, tried to arrange it nicely like he did in Katsuki's and Momo's bento boxes. He then served a plate in front of Hawks and brought another with him and sat on the opposite of him.
"Thanks for the food! Can't wait to try it."
Eiji couldn't help but make his hands tremble a bit, his nervousness just wouldn't go down. He was THE Hawks, he was sitting right in front of him, and Eiji made him eat his own cooked food.
Just as Hawks was taking one piece of wagyu meat with the chopsticks in his mouth and started to chew on it, he let out a pleased sound.
"The meat is so tender and delicious, it melts in your mouth!"
He was taking bits and pieces from the rice, then the tamagoyaki omelette, then some of the vegetables, a little bit from everything until he tasted a little bit of everything.
"The rice is seasoned so well, it goes perfectly with the meat. The dressing that goes with the salad is wonderful. I love how the sausage is a bit crunchy from the outside and soft from the inside, the soy sauce eggs are fantastic, like do I need to go on? All of these bring out a nice balance of a hearty breakfast!"
Eiji was so relieved to hear all that and at the same time very honored that he liked the food he made. He couldn't believe it, Hawks enjoyed HIS food.
"This is all so GOOD! Haven't had such a nice breakfast in a while! Though there is one thing…"
Oh god, was there something wrong with it? Did he fail somewhere?
"There is no way that this hotel would serve such kind of food. Did you order delivery? Wait no, it's early in the morning…"
"...Um…it was me...I cooked it."
"Oh my goodness, really?? You?? So you are not only handsome, working hard to exercise and keep that muscled up body, but you cook too? Aaaaaah, Katsuki you bastard, I am so jealous! I want a cute guy cooking me such delicious food! My husband Enji is really clumsy and burns everything."
"I really feel honored by your words, Hawks-san." By this point, Eiji was really embarrassed, but still honored.
Hawks let out a snicker.
"Eiji, no need for the formalities, just keep it at Hawks."
"Well then...Hawks, where are we going today?"
"At about 10.30, we are meeting up with the other guys that you met back then at dinner for some paintball, then we will have some nice food at the Bestia restaurant and after that, we will spend a nice afternoon at the Pacific Park. I hope you like some good fun! Of course, all of it is my treat, so go all out!"
Eiji was beyond excited for all of those. He gets to spend the day with a person he admires and spend the day having tons of fun.
"Oh, I am looking forward to everything! I play paintball quite often with friends and I enjoy amusement parks as well. Although I admit...I am a bit surprised at the plans."
"Perfect! You will be on my team then, will count on you to kick the other guys' asses. What did you think we were going to do?" Hawks let out a laugh.
"I don't know...golfing?"
"Pfft, golfing? That's the most boring activity I can think of. I occasionally have to go golfing, but it's mostly to make deals and contracts with other people. Who thought that making a contract with somebody would be best over golf? It's really stupid."
"What would you consider to be the best option?"
"Honestly? Anything BUT golf. I guess would be best over food, which I sometimes do...imagine though if it was done while we would ride a giant roller-coaster, now that would be great!"
Eiji couldn't help but laugh at Hawks' comment. Who would have thought that Hawks would be such an entertaining and fun guy to be around? He really can't wait to go and get to know him a bit more.
"Oh yeah, one more thing Eiji, before I forget."
Eiji tilted his head a bit in confusion.
"Yeah, what is it?"
"Don't tell Katsuki that I am spending time with you. You can say that you spent it with the others, just not that I was part of it."
Eiji was silent for a bit, and didn't really know what to say.
"Why so, Hawks?"
"I guess you could say that we are not on the best terms, he could get really upset at you for spending time with me. Momo-san didn't tell Katsuki of your plans for today either. Looks like he was really upset after the dinner we had in Honolulu, since you two left the restaurant much earlier. I wanted to get to know you and you getting to know me, though who knows what Katsuki already told you about me. Not that I really care." He shrugged.
"Huh...I see. I mean...he didn't say anything about you, he was just mostly silent for the rest of the evening and didn't want to talk about it…"
"Is that so? Hm.."
Hawks looked like he was deep in thought. Eiji wasn't sure though if he saw it correctly, but Hawks seemed...concerned? Bothered about something? Something about his facial expression didn't seem right.
"Is there something wrong?" asked Eiji.
"No, no, it's fine. Looks like I have angered him too much, which wasn't my intention, my bad."
"I mean...I don't blame you in the slightest, but I just wonder what might have angered him so much? It just...sucked a bit that I couldn't help him in any way."
"No need to worry about it Eiji, he was his old self not soon after right? It was just some business related stuff."
"Yeah...he was fine on the next day. I guess you are right."
"Really, don't fret it. It's nice though to see how caring you are towards him. You really must love him."
"Oh...y-yeah." Eiji stuttered a bit, he must have been really red in the face.
Love. That's how strongly he felt towards Katsuki. By this point, it was a no-brainer for him.
However...Eiji still couldn't help but think there must have been more to it than just business when Katsuki was so upset that night. Maybe he can bring it up sometime again to him and ask him.
While they were talking, they both finished their breakfast as well.
"Well, anyways...thank you so much for the delicious food! Please make me something some other time, too!"
"Oh yeah, I'd love to!"
Eiji took both of their plates to clean them up, when Hawks interrupted him.
"It's ok, I'll take care of the dishes. You can get ready in the meantime!"
"Oh..you are too kind, but you are a guest, I can't make you clean up."
Hawks just pushed him away into his and Katsuki's bedroom.
"What are you talking about? That's the least I can do for some good food. Now go ahead. Oh, and I saw a Switch on the table, may I play a bit while you will be busy?"
"Oh yeah, sure thing. Thank you. I'll try to be done as quickly as possible."
Eiji went into the bathroom, took a quick shower, cleaned himself up, groomed his hair properly and remade the braid to make it look nicer and used some gel on his upper strands of hair. Since they were going for some fun activities, it was no use doing his hair fully, it would only get in the way. He really couldn't decide what to wear though, he did not want to look ragged. After some thinking, he finally just settled on some of the expensive sportswear that Ashido made him buy when they went clothes-shopping last time together. He put on a simple fitted shirt, some sweatpants with elasticated cuffs, a sweatshirt around his waist should it get a bit chilly and his newest Nike Kyrie Irving 5 sneakers he recently bought.
Hawks was waiting for him, playing on Eiji's Switch. Hawks noticed him when Eiji entered the living room and Hawks just stood up from the couch, walking circles around the redhead and admiring him. At least that's what it looked like from Hawks' facial expression.
"Eiji, I love your sportswear look! Looks like you look surely good in anything you put on. Oh, may I?"
He just softly touched Eiji's braid. It was odd for him to see Hawks politely ask about mostly everything, not like during the dinner where he just touched him like it was nothing.
"Your hair is amazingly soft. You surely wash it quite often, don't you? Oh and...I played your copy of Super Mario Odyssey and I got you all the last remaining moons while you were getting ready! Don't worry, I saved the file over an empty one, so if you were planning to get the last moons by yourself, I didn't delete the file."
"Oh my god, really?? I have been struggling with the last moons for a good while and you just got them just like that??? You are amazing!!"
Hawks just handed Eiji the Switch to show him that he really collected them all.
"Haha, I just really enjoyed this game, so I grinded to get them all as well! Oh, and I noticed you've got Mariokart 8 and Super Smash as well, let's race and fight sometime!"
"Of course! I am really competitive in both, so I hope you are prepared."
"The same goes for me! Who are your main characters?"
On their way to the playground for paintball, they couldn't stop talking about video games. Eiji's main characters were Donkey Kong and King K. Rool, while Hawks enjoyed Falco and Duck Hunt. The more he talked to Hawks, the more he realized that they had a lot of similar interests, their love for video games, what they love to do casually, what food they like, just about anything. Hawks was a cheerful and entertaining guy to be around.
The day Eiji spent with Hawks and his friends was incredible. The paintball game was very close, but the team Eiji and Hawks were in managed to win it by their teammates being used as bait and both of them clutching it by finishing the rest of the opposing team off. The food at the restaurant was delightful and the afternoon they spent at the Pacific Park for some rides was incredibly fun. He arrived back at the suite just no more than 30 minutes before Katsuki would arrive and he spent the extra time he had to prepare some food for tomorrow.
Just as he was done, he heard the door being opened. He immediately walked up to the entrance of the suite and was greeted by both Katsuki and Momo coming back.
"Hello Eiji-san!" Momo greeted him with a warm smile.
"Welcome back! How was your day?"
"It went by just fine! I just came to return the bento box and give you my gratitude! The breakfast you made was so delicious!" Momo just beamed from excitement right in front of him and handed her bento box back to him.
This made Eiji incredibly happy to hear and it just motivated him to do his best for the upcoming days.
"I am so glad you liked it! I will make baked chicken karaage for tomorrow!"
"That sounds wonderful, looking forward to that! I will be leaving then, I still have some things I need to take care of."
"Momo, don't overdo it. Relax and enjoy yourself a bit." claimed Katsuki.
"I know, but we are so close to be done! I promise I'll rest up once I get one more thing done. See you then!"
Off she went. Katsuki let out a sigh and scratched his head. Eiji just came up to him, hugged him tightly and gave him a loving kiss. Katsuki reached with his hand to touch Eiji's cheek, which he adored and made his pulse beat faster.
"Who would have thought that you could cook so well. I quite enjoyed that. So you making more for us?"
"I'll do my best to make you a nice breakfast every day, if that's alright with you."
"Can't say no to good food."
Yes, he was so glad to make Katsuki eat properly for breakfast. He was so pleased with himself that he really brought it up to Momo.
Another lovely night spent together with the man he is in love with.
--
Every next day from then on, Eiji woke up early to make some breakfast for Katsuki and Momo before they left for their work. He made sure to keep the breakfast with different ideas each time, to keep the taste fresh and always something new to try. Every day, he was busy with his exercises as always, cooked his own food afterwards, took a shower, spent the rest of the day doing some plans that Momo planned for him, or he spent time with Hawks and his group of friends as well. They went to have fun at arcades playing shooters, air hockey and some other team-oriented games, virtual reality, a day doing obstacle courses, going through a dungeon to solve puzzles (although Eiji admits that is not his strong suit, he still was enjoying it regardless), all kinds of fun activities. Hawks and Eiji have become close friends the more they spent time together. They have been sending each other messages on LINE and sharing photos of anything they did, whether it was food they ate, some cool outfits they did, showing each other's scores in video games, and a lot of other things. Eiji would share what food he was making and Hawks invited himself into the suite, because he really wanted to try more of the redhead's food. Not that Eiji minded, it was nice to have company during breakfast, lunch or any other quick bite.
Any kind of activity Eiji had for the days, he made sure to come back to the suite before Katsuki would return and spend time with him for the night.
How much he wishes he could spend fun days like this with Katsuki as well, but he is wondering whether he would enjoy them as well? Nevertheless, the night with the cute blonde was still the best of all.
He still didn't have the courage to confess his feelings for the shorter man. He felt like the time was still not right yet.
