Where are you taking me today?" asked Eiji while they both enjoyed the breakfast he made for them.
"Just you wait. We are renting a car for today as well to get around easier. Dress up in whatever is comfortable for you."
This seemed to excite the man in front of him. Just as he wanted to clean up the dishes, Katsuki stopped him: "I'll take care of it. I know you take a bit longer to get ready, so let me handle it."
"Alright, thanks." He then went to the bathroom to get ready.
Just as Katsuki finished cleaning up everything, he went to the other bathroom to wash himself and got dressed up. He decided to go for a hawaiian style shirt in dark red and yellow colors with geometric sun patterns on it, tucked in beige chino pants that reach just above his ankles and one of his expensive loafers. Of course, his gold chain, expensive watch, the rings around his fingers and his red sunglasses had to be put on as well. He looked at himself in the mirror of the living room, looking very posh and satisfied with himself.
"You look so lovely, I rarely see you in casual clothes." Eiji just came into the living room, who also seemed ready to go. As always, the man in front of him always made an effort to look his best, his hair showing spikes all around his hair, rocking some of his usual casual sportswear. It really suited him.
"Well, if I have nothing but work, then yes, I wear suits most of the day. However, when I have finally time off, no suits for me."
"Like in San Francisco where you will have a bunch of days off?"
"Yeah, can't wait really. There is only so much you can do with suits."
"Well, you looked good in everything so far."
Katsuki just came up to him to give the taller man in front of him a kiss, which the other gladly returned and then just wrapped Katsuki in his arms, giving him a warm embrace. It seemed like Eiji was being his old self again. Good.
They both then went onto the renting area of the hotel, Katsuki had to sign a few papers, let his driver's license get scanned and a few other small things. After that, he was given the keys and the person responsible took them both to their car. The car was a gorgeous red cabriolet with an elegant design.
"Don't you have a Japanese driver's license? Can you drive that even though it's a different country?" asked the redhead.
"Yeah, indeed. Under certain circumstances, you are allowed. I have to come here often anyways and I have rented other cars before, so I didn't run into any issues so far."
"Oh man, you have guts. I noticed that here people drive on the right, not like the left in Japan. Isn't that hard?"
"The first time, it was a bit confusing, but I got used to it pretty quickly. It's not so bad."
They both chatted along the way and Katsuki made sure to take Eiji through the most popular streets before they made their way. Eiji looked like he enjoyed every moment of it considering how he beamed up from excitement and taking so many pictures with his phone. That enthusiastic side of him was so pleasant to look at.
After the long drive they took, Katsuki took Eiji to The Grove, one of LA's best shopping places for the latest collections of branded clothes.
"Clothes shopping?" Eiji seemed a bit perplexed.
"You mentioned once to me that you do enjoy going clothes shopping. This is a fantastic place to go if you are after the newest collections, since Japan seems to be a bit behind sometimes and getting them a bit later. I know you prefer sportswear and surely you like athletic apparel too, there are a lot of brands that I am sure will be of your interest."
Eiji looked at the map plan, grinned from excitement as he was looking through the map.
"Can we go here first, please?" he asked while pointing at the store on the map. He looked like a tiny child in front of a candy store. Katsuki couldn't help but laugh.
"Of course, wherever you want."
Naturally, the redhead chose a store with athletic apparel, just as they got inside, they were greeted by the shop assistants, in which almost all of them were similarly built like Eiji, as if they wanted to say "one of us." Katsuki was happy to translate whatever Eiji needed. Eiji ended up getting two lightweight shorts, one pair of long pants, some sleeveless shirts and a new duffel bag, all for his training needs. Just as Eiji was planning to pay, Katsuki immediately stopped him, saying "I'll pay." while handing his credit card to the cashier.
"Huh?...but...you know I have money too, right?"
"No buts. I am taking you out and I will pay for everything. Go all out and get whatever you want. I'll pay for it all. You got a problem with that?"
"Hmm, somebody paying so much for me, nobody has ever done that for me. I'd feel guilty."
"A small shopping day is nothing. This is a day I made specially for you, so do what you want. No need to feel guilty about it."
Eiji couldn't say anything after that. Nothing would change Katsuki's mind, so he didn't have any choice.
They both however quite enjoyed it. They both hit up a lot of shops, both of them getting a bunch of things for themselves. Eiji got a few new pairs of sneakers, some other casual pants, shirts, a new backpack, jacket and other stuff, while Katsuki was eyeing some other things for himself, mainly some new shirts for his suits, ties, some casual pants with shirts and other things. Katsuki hasn't gone shopping like this in a long time, since he never really feels like doing it alone. It's much more fun when you spend a shopping day like this with someone else. While they had some lunch, they spent the entire day there, which was already getting a bit late. They both put everything in the trunk and the backseats of the car, when Eiji spoke up.
"Sorry sweetie, but I need to go to the bathroom, will be right back."
"Huh? Yeah sure, I will wait for you here."
Off he went, Katsuki was looking up his messages in the meantime, and it seemed like things went fine without him. Momo messaged him that everything should be taken care of for today. He couldn't help but smile. He knew Momo could do it. Once everything is finished, he will make sure to celebrate properly with her and give her thanks for all the hard work she is doing.
"Sorry for the wait!" Eiji then came back, apologizing for the slight delay, sitting down on the front seat next to him.
"No worries, I looked up a bunch of messages and Momo told me everything went smoothly today without me."
"That's wonderful news! Momo is so reliable and I admire her."
"That she is. This should hopefully give her the confidence boost she needs."
Before they returned back to the hotel, Katsuki was driving through the gorgeous street of Sunset Boulevard, as the sky filled with warm colors before the night. The sight with all the palm trees around and the sun that was slowly going down was breathtaking to look at.
The dinner was lovely and romantic, the love-making after even more so. FINALLY after that horrible night and yesterday's events, he could get some good dicking from the man above him. He knew a good shopping spree usually does the trick to satisfy somebody's needs. Just as they finished, they both sat next to each other, the larger man cuddling up to Katsuki from his side and resting his head on his shoulder. A small moment of bliss, only to themselves.
"Katsuki, may I tell you something?" The silence was then broken by Eiji's words.
"Of course. What is it?"
"Well...I have been long thinking...and also waiting for the right moment to tell you…"
He looked very nervous, completely red in the face.
"C'mon, tell me. What is it, big guy?"
Eiji then sat down to face Katsuki and looked him directly in his eyes.
"Actually, since that first day when I slept with you, I couldn't stop thinking about you. I truly am glad I got to meet you. So..I wanted to say that I lov-"
Just as he couldn't finish his sentence and Katsuki couldn't even hear it properly, his phone started to ring.
Katsuki made a displeased noise, looking visibly irritated. Who is interrupting him right now at eight in the evening? Momo was until about 6PM at work today, already got messages that everything went fine, so she must have already been at the hotel. He quickly took out the phone from his pants on the floor, and the number was one of the colleagues who were responsible for the production. He took the phone call.
"What is it? Do you have any idea what time it is?"
Eiji just put his arms around Katsuki's neck and hugged him from behind, as if wanting to tell that he wishes Katsuki would just give him the attention rather than some phone call. The blonde felt bad for ruining their moment between them, but he had to take care of it.
The person on the other end of the phone was visibly stressed out and nervous from his voice, surely not wanting to deal with trouble at this hour just like Katsuki.
"I am so sorry to call you at this hour, sir...but we are having a problem with the production of one of the car parts and it could be delayed or the price has to be negotiated again..."
"Can't that be dealt with tomorrow?"
"I am afraid not, sir...otherwise I wouldn't have called you at this time. Please we need you as soon as possible to deal with it."
He really didn't know what to answer. Eiji let go of him, poking Katsuki a little bit so he would look at him and made a gesture with his hand that he should go. He must have overheard a few things from the phone call.
Katsuki gave a quick "wait a bit" to the person he had a call with, covered the speaker with his other hand, so the colleague wouldn't overhear them.
"Eiji, I can't leave you alone right now!"
"But it's important, right? Please go, I'd feel guilty keeping you here and you being nervous all night."
Katsuki still was on the verge to say no. However, he can't just not go and take care of whatever business needs his attention at this moment. Eiji is right, he would very likely be a nervous wreck the rest of the night, since it's serious. Things have to be done on time and everything has to go according to schedule.
"...Are you sure about it?" he asked Eiji.
"Yes, 100%."
With a little hesitation, Katsuki gave in and took the phone to his ear.
"I will be there in about twenty to thirty minutes."
"Oh, thank goodness sir! Again, I really apologize for interrupting your evening. We will be waiting for you."
He hung up, uncovered the sheets, went to the bathroom to quickly wash himself, then took out one of his suits and a shirt to put on, then his tie in the mirror, all the time cursing under his breath. Eiji came up to him in his boxers and a long sleeveless shirt, fixing Katsuki's collar. Katsuki then turned to face Eiji and reached out to wrap his arms around the larger man's waist.
"I will do my best to come as soon as possible, alright?"
Eiji let out a weak smile.
"I got you."
God, Katsuki could just feel how sad and upset Eiji was. This wasn't supposed to happen.
Both of them heard a knock on the door. Katsuki went to open it, of course it was Momo. She looked like she too was trying to get ready quickly and not looking happy at all.
"Bakugou-san, you have heard too, right?"
"Yes, and I am freaking pissed. Give me another few minutes and we can go."
She went in, complaining to Eiji how she wanted to have a nice night and have a relaxing bath, but obviously couldn't. She was also not happy that she didn't look her best, since she had to get ready on a whim.
"I still think you look lovely Momo-san." claimed Eiji in front of her.
"Heck no, if at least my hair was decent. I can only keep it straight."
"Hmm, maybe I can help you a bit if you'd like? I could make you french braid on the side? I can do it quite quickly. It won't look as perfect as you usually make your hair, but at least a quick fix to make it look nice?"
"Oh my goodness, if that wouldn't be too troublesome for you?"
"Not at all, happy to help at least a little bit!"
Katsuki watched as Eiji quickly went back to the bathroom, taking a few of his hair products with him, hair brush, a simple black hair tie and a bunch of hairpins. He really was done in a matter of minutes, making a gorgeous big braid going from the top of the side and braid getting smaller as it went down to her ends of hair, using the hairpins to keep the hair together and gel it a little bit, then once finished sprayed a bit of his hair spray to give it a bit of shine and making the shapes hold longer.
"That looks good on you, Momo." Katsuki said.
Momo looked so happy once she looked in the mirror.
"It's amazing! Looks even better than I have imagined it! Thank you Eiji-san, you saved me some of the trouble." She smiled.
"You flatter me. I do braids on myself all the time, so they are easy to make for me. I do understand you though, I get a bit fussy as well if I have to rush and don't have enough time to get ready."
"Alright, let's go Momo to get it over with quickly."
"Of course."
Momo waved Eiji goodbye and Katsuki gave a quick kiss to Eiji before going off.
"I'll see you later."
Eiji nodded to that.

The mess he and Momo had to take care of ended up being a grueling three to four hours. At least they covered a few more things that needed to be taken care of the next day. So for tomorrow, Katsuki won't have to work the entire day and instead he will be off at about 2PM, having some extra time. He thinks he will rather surprise Eiji by going back to the hotel earlier than expected.
He did feel guilty however for going back so late. By the time he was back, it was almost 1AM after midnight. He was so exhausted that he didn't feel like taking a shower, so he decided to do that in the morning once he woke up.
Naturally, Eiji was asleep. He really wanted to spend the rest of the night with him, not at work. At least he could relax, things have been taken care of and things will be still going according to plan, even with a few delays here and there.
Katsuki just undressed in his comfy clothing for the night, went back to the bathroom to wash himself, brush his teeth and then snuck into bed next to Eiji without waking him up.
"Sorry for making you wait.." he whispered and soon fell asleep by his side.
