The roar of a motorcycle died down as it screeched to a halt in front of an abandoned parking garage. The driver was a young woman who wore a white shirt, black shorts, and boots. She was armed to the teeth with firearms and had a rocket launcher strapped onto her back. She took off her helmet, revealing short black hair and heterochromia-- one red left eye and a blue-green right eye-- as well as a noticeable scar across her nose. Her name was Lady and she was a devil hunter sent here to do her job. She looked at the parking garage suspiciously. She could hear music echoing further in. "Strange..." she thought to herself. "No one is supposed to be here."
Lady propped up her motorcycle and walked in. The music got louder as she honed in on it. Eventually the sounds of fighting could be heard, and she picked up the pace soon after. Just as she was about to round the corner, a figure came flying in and hit the far wall. It was a large humanoid that looked to be made of wood and wore medieval style clothing. "Well there's one of the Marionettes..." She looked down at where it came from, seeing another Marionette crash into a pillar before getting up to rush after whoever threw it.
Moving down to see what was going on, she saw an amusing sight. A bunch of Marionettes were getting their asses handed to them by a fourteen year old girl. She was short and wore a black leather armored jacket with a gray cloth hood. A dark purple t-shirt resided under the jacket, along with dark jeans accompanied with a spade tail black belt and a rose gold metal loop. Black boots covered her feet. With the combination of her hood being up and the demons constantly getting in the way, Lady couldn't get a good look at her face, but she was more curious about the fact that the girl wore even more armor on top of her jacket.
She had a full vambrace and gauntlet on her right arm but only had a gauntlet on her left. At least her greaves matched, and the color of the metal was rose gold. She cut down three demons in a quick, yet strangely beautiful motion. A knife was held in each hand-- Kukris from what Lady could tell, one a deep crimson and the other a rich purple. The girl parried away a blow, making the Marionette stumble away, as she turned around and slashed through another Marionette behind her.
Lady decided to watch; the kid could clearly take care of herself, and she'd jump in only if necessary. She looked around and saw the source of the music, a phone connected to a fairly large portable speaker near her feet. It was playing similar music to what a friend of hers listened to. She was interrupted by a flying Marionette that landed near the phone and somehow skipped to the next song. She looked at the girl, who was tapping her foot to the beat and pulled out a Japanese hand fan. Before Lady could get a good look at it, the girl swung the fan in a wide arc and a large burst of wind blasted through multiple Marionettes, killing many of the ones that were too weak to withstand the attack and knocking down the rest.
The girl collapsed the fan and swung at a Marionette holding a shotgun. A sharp blade of wind lopped off its head before it could fire. She was ready for more but any surviving Marionettes started running away before she could attack. This was odd to both the girl and Lady; demons didn't run unless ordered to.
Lady saw it before the girl could. A large blade came for her neck from behind her; she blocked it with her armored arm as she pulled out a knife and stabbed at her attacker. She saw a demon with a burlap sack for a body, small wooden limbs and a large bladed leg.
"A Scarecrow? Don't you and Marionettes hate each other?" the girl asked. Before she could get an answer, another Scarecrow, with a bladed arm instead, took a swipe at her. She jumped over the strike, making it hit the other. As she landed, the Marionettes returned and they all attacked her. She blocked a few of them but many still struck her.
Lady pulled out her machine pistol and was about to engage when the girl grabbed a Marionette and swung it around like a bat, making any demon near her fly. "That hurt, you know?" She held the Marionette tightly in one hand as it tried to escape from her. With the other she pulled out all the weapons that were stuck in her. "It's a good thing I can patch up my clothes like they're brand new or else you would be in a world of trouble."
The two Scarecrows and the remaining Marionettes rushed at her; she batted them away with her hostage. The girl sighed as she undid the ring on her belt. The belt unfurled into a tail and it stabbed at a Marionette's head. The rest of the battle turned into a quick messy slaughter-- if they weren't beaten to death by their friend or brutality stabbed by her tail, they were eviscerated to near ribbons. That was not to say she came out unscathed; the Marionette she was holding kept trying to claw at her face and its friends got good hits in every now and then.
Eventually all the demons lay dead. The girl brushed off any dust and grime as best she could as she walked toward Lady. "Hope you enjoyed the show," she said as she pulled down her hood. She had bright red hair that was cut short just past her ears with the ends flaring out. Her bangs hung just past her brow, and she had deep blue eyes. "Name's Roszen." She nodded her head in a bow. "Roszen Goldworth."
Lady gave a small look of shock. "Nice work, but what is a kid like you doing here?" She put a hand on her hip and leaned back.
"Doing the job I was hired to do?" Roszen cocked her head to the side. "Morrison didn't tell you I'd be here?" She fiddled with her weapons, making sure everything was where it was supposed to be, knives at her waist and fan inside of her jacket.
"No, and you know Morrison?"
"Recently acquainted." Roszen grabbed her phone and pocketed everything. "It was kinda last minute, so it shouldn't be surprising that he was unable to tell you." She gave her a polite smile. "He told me that if you could vouch for my skills that I could go with the job I have for your friend Dante."
"And that job being?"
"To help find and rescue my mother."
