Getting sorted was a bit daunting, and the only reason Vivian was not freaking out was because years ago Hodgins told her about his sorting. The walk up to the castle was breathtaking, the grounds were vast and seem to stretch on for ever. Hodgins smiled reminded of the first time he walked the grounds.

The schedule for the day went like this:

1. Greet the deputy Headmistress at the doors

2. Tour the castle show her where all the classes are

3. Meet all of her teachers

4. Greet the Headmaster in his office

5. Get sorted

All this before the welcome feast where she would meet her new housemates. Vivian couldnt wait for it all to be over.

The teachers at Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry knew that the new addition to their belovid school was an odd one they just didnt know how odd she was. At first she seemed like a nice shy girl but as soon as introductions were made the girl asked questions that made them all reevaluate their initial impression. If thay were expecting a withdrawn student they were mistaken and taken in by her exuberant and positive personality.

"I'm not usually like this but there's something about the atmosphere here that is so refreshing. I swear, at the Academy it's all strict because if your not carefull you can hurt yourself so badly you would be set back years. Like with my accident, frankly my instuctors wont expect me to come back ever and have every intention to forget my name by the end of the year but I'll be back and show all the snot nosed bitches in my class that I am a phoenix who will rise from the ashes to dance again and become a prima known throughout the dance world." Vivian goes on to describe a rough schedule of remedial dance lessons in her trunk and how she will work around her school work and how she might be ahead in a few of her classes since she studies year round and usually only has a month long break in her year.

Questions about the work load and how much she has to do in order to have free time and her down right perky aditude automatically put her in hufflepuff much to Professor Sprouts' joy. It seemed as if the only one to know her true personality is Hodgins and Snape who was curently engaged in a conversation with Hodgins about muggle medicine of all things to astonishment of the rest of the staff.

"Oh yeah Sev, Father said he wanted a reply to his letter assap and that you are onto something with that chromosome tangent you wrote about yesterday. He also said sometjing about having you on our payroll because you've contributed alot to the company. Many of our recent projects have some of your imput." Vivian lunges for Severus' arm. "Just imagin you an employee at our company, you can finally move out of that dingy house at Spinners End and get a Batchelor pad, brings some girls over have a nice time ehh. What do you think?" Vivian hoped beside him as everyone looks at the girl incredulously.

"Ms. Peirce I do believe this conversation is not appropriate for current company." Severus says sternly.

"okay" Vivian shrugged letting go of Snape and staring a conversation with Hodgins. "So I'm going to take my OWLS this year, I have a feeling I'm going to want to lobotomise myself this year, maybe not I have had a busy schedule all my life, or at least since I was eleven. Oh is someone going to come here for my muggle education. I have packets from home but Ihave a feeling I'm going to finish those at the end of the month. Maybe you will Hodgins, you'll bring me work packets every now and again during hogmead weekends. Im sure I can make it work."

"I don't know Vivy, maybe but not always. I do have to go to school, my first semester of Cambridge starts in a few days and I'm as busy as it is now. " Hodge ran his hands through his hair. "But now is not the time for that we are here."

'Here' was is the entrance to the office of Headmaster Dumbledore one of if not the most powerfull wizard in the world, or so he likes to think. The more progressive countries don't have high opinions on the man so its no wonder it rubed off on her. Vivian was well ajusted in the magical world, her mother would often take her to magical comunities (goblins loved her, so they introduced her to promising investments) around the world when ever Vivian was on break from school. Magical traval was almost instantaneous and made for more compact trips than she was used to it was fun but exausting. It was on these trips that she realized how backward wizarding Britain was, not to say Britain was the only community that didn't evolve with the times there were quite a few out there. The most advanced being: America, China, Russia, Japan, Sweden, India, Greece, Iceland, France, Italy, and Cuba With Mexico, Canada, Germany, Greenland, spain, Australia, Barcelona, Turkey, and Brazil falling not far behind.

With a deep breath Vivian couldnt help but feel a spike of dread upon meeting the man for the firat time.

"Come in." A voice beyond the door said befor anyone could even knock. He was frail looking like a grandpa that would only scold you after you've comited a homicide. In fact he reminded Vivian of the old janitor at her school. He was a charming old man that was always avalable to give you advice or a helping hand, this is, before he was send to prison for selling weed and any type of drug you can think of to the students.

"Professor, this is Vivian." Hodgins said introducing her.

"Ah, of course, its been a long time since a transfer student graced these hallowed halls. Now I'm sure that you are anxious to be sorted so lets get to it." The headmaster stood up with a surprising amount of vigor for a man his age and with the bright tone of of his voice she wouldn't be surprised if his appearance was due to a well disguised glamor. He glided to a stool that hosted what she asumed was the sorting hat. "Now take a seat her and we will see what house you belong to."

Sitting down on the stool she waited for the hat to be placed on her raven locks. "Hmmm. My isn't this a surprise." Vivians shoulder jerkes in surprise, the gravly voice of the artifact catching her off gard. "Well this is an unexpected turn of events. Would you mind telling me the sorce of her mental blocks?"

"Oh!? Sorry!" Vivian quickly unclasps her necklace and sets it down. "That better, My mother bought it for me as soon as she new it existed."

"That would explain that, now lets see where to put you. Griffendor would not push you enough, you would find yourselves unmatched in Ravenclaw, Slytherin would smother you as soon as given the chance. That leaves us with, HUFFLEPUFF!"

All professors smile as they predicted the outcome early that day, Sprout beemed at her new charge and couldnt help but expect much from the girl. Vivian herself thought she would flurish in Slytherin but was happy to be a Hufflepuff nontheless. Putting back on her celtic necklace that help protect her mind from invaders. Her mother also bought three more for Hodgins, father, and her once she figured out legilimency was a branch of magic. Dumbledores' eyes locked onto the necklace with understanding. Now he sees why he was unable to hear her sutface thoughts.

"Now the feast should be starting in an hour I would suggest you change into the school uniform before the carriages arrive." Dumbledore said as her indicated to Sprout to show her the way.

Soon she was seated at the Hufflepuff table waiting for her new housemates to arrive.

There were alot of students, more than the academy had that for sure. Not even five minutes after the great halls' doors open most of the tables are full of returning students. Out of all of her new class mates not one introduced themselfs. 'I thought this was the nice table, maybe I'm wrong.' Watching the first years file in last Vivian couldn't believe she was once that small. She smiled as one after another kids were sorted into their new home for the next seven years. And with a few nonsense words from the senile headmaster the welcomeing feast began.

The friend group next to her begin to talk about their respective summers.

"I stayed home all summer and watched the telly. what about you Aniseia?" the narrow brunette said.

"I went to my uncles farm in france. Do you know how boring it was, if it wasnt for Gabriels letters I would've gon absolutely mad." The red hed said.

"I dont doubt it Anis, if I didnt know any better I would've thought you sent me the same letter every week!" The srawny boy Gabriel said.

"Oh shut it, like you you'd come up with something more exciting to do on a ranch that doesn't involve brushing the horses, or cleaning up their dung."

"Oh, come on Anis I'm eating! Don't talk about dung at the table." The brunette complained as he ate his pie. "And you'd think a ranch has more exciting things to do."

"Oh don't be such a bird Rod, and you know how my uncle is I can't lift a finger lest it'd break, I swear I adore my uncle but he can be a bit much." Vivian smiles at their banter. "Now, are you going to tell us about your summer or are you only going to listen to us?" Vivian looked at the redhead in surprise. "Yes I'm talking to you." Aniseia said rolling her eyes

Vivian chuckles "I'm highly amused by your banter so I'll indulge you. I'm Vivian Peirce, nice to meet you." she says as he takes a drink of her lavander tea.

"I'm Rodric Emsley." The brunette says with a small nod.

"Gabriel Tilling." The raven boy said with a wink.

"And I'm Aniseia Withers, pleased to meet you. How come I've never seen you before?" She says crinkling her brow.

"I'm a transfer, I rejected coming here and was home schooled in magic these past four years and because of an accident I had no other option but to come here."

"You can do that, most muggleborns just accept the invite without reading the fine print." Rodric said as her looked at her wide eyed.

"I dont know if thats an option for everyone but I had to ball my eyes out befor it was offered else there'd be more home schooled wizards." Vivian watched in awe as dinner disappeared only to be replaced by dessert.

"That makes sense. Kind of." Gabriel says with a shrug as he digs into a bowl of jello.

"Why didn't you accept? Its magic! How can you reject it!" Aniseia says with a smile as she thought back to her own excitement at getting her first letter.

"Cause I was accepted to an extremely competitive dance academy and I was not about to let my blood sweat and tears go to waste, plus it's always been my dream to dance on a stage with an audience in the thousands." Vivian says with a smile.

"Well at least now I know why your a Hufflepuff, hardwork is our main attribute." Anis laughed "I'm sure we'll get along nicely.

That night vivian wrote a letter to her parents and Evalin as promised telling them diffrent versions of het day. And that how it was for the first month in hogwarts, hanging out with her new friends and sending letters about her life at hogwarts as well as progress reports on her muggle education every other week as she didn't think she would be so busy, considering the OWLS were this year she should have expected it.
