'This is getting out of hand!' Dan thought as he ducked under a blade and thrust his kunai in the enemy's exposed stomach, he then quickly dashed back to avoid getting skewered by multiple thrown weapons. He was not given even a moment to rest as five more ninjas surrounded him.

At first, the enemies were using their higher numbers to overwhelm him, attacking him all at once in hopes of scoring a lucky hit but after many unsuccessful attempts, in which they lost several of their own in traps and explosions set up by Dan, they changed their strategy.

Now, instead of attacking him all at once, they would send 5 to 6 ninja at a time in hopes of tiring him out while the others would provide support by throwing kunai and shurikens to immobilize him and at the same time keep him on his toes. After a botched attempt of using explosive kunais and ninjutsu to blow him up, which consequently resulted in many casualty and deaths on their side, the enemy had decided to forego any large area of effect techniques since Dan would just flash away or deflect it back into their ranks, they had now decided to stick to melee combat with occasional support.

'There is no end to them, I will be overwhelmed if this keeps up ', he thought as he fought off another wave of enemies, 'I just have to hold them for few more minutes, Minato will be back soon, with his hiraishin he will make quick work of them'.

"Uurk!" Dan grunted in surprise as a kunai punctured his left shoulder, rendering that arm immobile.

"Shit!" He cursed as he tried to distance himself from them, he couldn't go back to Kushina as her blood attacks wouldn't differentiate between him and the enemies, Naruto was already dealing with several high ranking shinobi at once, if he went there he would just slow him down, Sakumo was also facing off against the Swordsmen of the mist so he was also not an option and his other allies were too far away to help him.

'I hope Minato comes back quickly, my chances of survival in this situation are very low.'

Xxx With Sakumo xxX

Several minutes had passed since Naruto had rushed off to face the kages, Other than the three who had managed to slip past him, Sakumo had not allowed any of the other four to get past him.

Their fight till now had mostly been a skirmish, both sides testing the waters so to speak.

"Enough with the foreplay, It's time to get serious" Kushimaru Kuriarare exclaimed, he was wielding Nuibari, a sword with the appearance of a huge needle. He was a very thin and tall man, giving him an overall gangling appearance. He had long, shaggy, straw-coloured blond hair, and his face was concealed by a white, porcelain Anbu mask, with a green-coloured triangle on its lower half, slits for eye-holes and Kirigakure's symbol etched into the top. His attire consisted of a sleeveless black shirt, matching pants, complete with a waist-guard, and Kirigakure's striped wrist and leg-guards. He also wore bandages around his neck.

"I usually hate to agree with you but with all the bloodshed going around, it's got me very excited" replied Jinpachi Munashi, he held Shibuki, an odd-looking sword with a scroll as the blunt side. He had long, brown hair, a long beard worn in strands adorned with beads. The top of his head was wrapped in bandages, and he had an eye-patch covering his left eye, sprouting from under his Kirigakureforehead protector. He wore an extremely loose, long-sleeved pin-striped shirt and black pants, accentuated by the presence of striped leg-warmers matching his shirt.

The other two beside him, Jinin Akebino, who had a brown beard and hair tied into a topknot and wore a dark-coloured poncho cloth over a standard Swordsman attire, consisting of a sleeveless dark shirt and matching pants along with a waist-guard, pin-striped arm and leg-warmers typical of his village, he wielded Kabutowari, it was a dual-wield weapon consisting of an axe and a hammer connected by a leather strap, and Fubuki Suikazan, by far the tallest and largest member of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist, his most distinctive trait was his fish-like appearance. He had small round eyes and like most of his teammates, he had sharp jagged teeth. He had long, orange hair that reached into his back with some pinned up at the top. He also had six green stripes on his face. Attire-wise he wore the standard striped jumpsuit of Kirigakure, a black outfit over it as well as a white cloak/robe over it and Samehada strapped over his shoulder via a large belt decorated by a tassel, both nodded in agreement.

"What are you waiting for then?" Sakumo questioned "Come", he motioned.

Not wasting another moment, Jinin and Jinpachi dashed forward, followed closely by Fubuki and Kushimaru.

Leaping into the air, Jinin did a front flip to build momentum and crashed his hammer on the ground where Sakumo was standing. There was a loud rumble followed by complete decimation of the ground. The shockwaves and tremors were so massive that they could be felt across the entire battlefield.

Sakumo observed the destruction from above as he had leapt in the air just before the impact.

'I should avoid crossing swords with him, he seems to be the one with the most offence' he didn't get another moment to think as Kushimaru threw his needle-like sword towards him, aiming right for his head.

Using his sabre, Sakumo managed to deflect it at the last moment.

His triumph lasted only for a second since the other two, Jinpachi and Fubuki had just finished their long series of hand signs.

"Suiton: Tsunami no Jutsu"

Sakumo widened his eyes as a literal tsunami was thrown at him.

Xxx With Kushina xxX

Kushina had been slaughtering the enemy forces for the past several minutes, none of them seemed to have the power or the skill to fight on her level.

That was the case till the four-tailed and the two-tailed jinchuriki faced her using their version one tailed-beast cloak(The transparent red cloak).

Kushina jumped back from the two, having been fighting them for quite a while now, her left arm was partially covered with lava and sported extreme burn marks which were already in the process of being healed.

The blood she had gathered from her slaughtered victims was evaporating fast due to extreme heat from the lava and fire surrounding her. The two seemed to have figured out the way to counter her blood attacks by attacking from long range and letting her exhaust her blood reserve.

After another volley of attack burned Kushina's entire left arm to the bone, she seemed to have had enough as she gathered the remaining blood and concentrated it into her sword.

'I can't attack them from this distance and they are smart enough to not engage me in close combat, but even then, I am not confident that the blood will hold if they enter the version two Tailed beast mode.'(Version two is the opaque red cloak)

'That's is correct, once they enter that cloaked mode, the corrosive tailed-beast chakra will most certainly burn away the blood from your blood techniques. Shinku konton(Crimson Chaos) is excellent against large groups of enemies as well as strong individuals, with enough blood it can even bypass a jinchuriki's cloak but it would be pretty redundant since any injury wound be healed. I would suggest changing your tactics.'

'I know' Kushina replied as she sheathed her blood-soaked katana, 'I will have to end this quickly, Naruto may need my help. Thanks for the advice Kurama, I know I can always count on you'

Kurama grunted in response as he took a more comfortable position to watch the fight from the seal.

"What is she doing, why did she sheathe her sword?" Yugito asked.

"I don't know" Roshi replied, "But stay on guard, If she starts transforming retreat and regroup, our mission is to keep her distracted from our allies not defeat her."

"We can take her" Yugito replied confidently, "If the two of us go full tailed-beast mode we can def-"

"No, we can't" Roshi interrupted, "This is not my first time fighting her. Han, the five-tailed jinchuriki, and I have both faced her off multiple times and we have lost every time. If we go full tailed-beast mode then so will she and trust me it will not end well for us. Just stick to the plan".

Yugito grunted in annoyance but didn't argue.

While Roshi and Yugito were talking Kushina begun to execute her plan.

"Fuuton: Shinkuu Taigyoku (Wind Release: Vacuum Great Sphere )".

Inhaling deeply, Kushina released a large wind sphere aimed at the two. The sphere was twice as big as her and deceptively fast for its size. They dove to the side just as the attack reached them.

"Roshi!" Yugito yelled as she fired a fireball at Kushina.

"I am fine" he replied as he began to get up but suddenly golden chains burst from the ground below and wrapped around his body, completely immobilizing him.

"Yugito, don't!" He tried to warn but it was too late, she had already transformed into her tailed beast form and was now sprinting towards Kushina with reckless abandon.

Multiple chains erupted from the ground, chasing the now fully transformed two-tails.

The beast was able to close a little distance between her and Kushina before it too was captured by the chains.

"Kongō Fūsa (Adamantine Sealing Chains)"

Kushina started as more chains burst from the ground and pierced the two tails' body.

"These chains are a distinct technique of the Uzumaki clan," Kushina continued, The two tails struggled to break free but it was so tightly bound that it couldn't move more than few inches, "They are special because of their ability to restrict the flow of chakra and bind the target, be it a human or a tailed beast."

By now the Two-tails was flailing around, trying to overpower and break free from the chains,

"Once caught, escape from them is almost impossible,"

Kushina raised her hand and made a squeezing motion, the chains respectively started to tighten around the two tails' body, rendering it completely immobile.

"Even the Nine tails can't overpower them!" She exclaimed as she clapped her hands together.

Suddenly, the two tails started to lose its form and began to shrink in size.

"These chains are especially useful to subjugate tailed beasts and as a bonus, it also drains the targets chakra."

By now Yugito had lost most of her chakra, looking over to Roshi she saw him passed out due to chakra exhaustion.

'Shit..' She thought before darkness overcame her as well.

Kushina looked around the battlefield and noticed the Kazekage and his team fighting off the three-tails, 'They can handle the three tails' she thought dismissively, 'I don't sense Dan nearby but since Minato is here and is taking care of the enemy forces, its safe to assume Dan is not in danger, he is probably taking a breather with Shikaku'.

'That leaves Sakumo-sensei and Naruto', She observed Naruto fighting against 7 other Shinobi, he looked to be holding his own quite well considering the situation. 'The Mizukage, Raikage, and Tsuchikage are still laying back and observing the fights. For now, it would be best to assist Sakumo-sensei'

With her decision made she dashed towards Sakumo

Xxx With Naruto xxX

"He has activated his Sharingan, don't look into his eyes" A warned as he took a fighting stance.

"This isn't the first time I am facing a Sharingan user" Denji replied, "I know not to look into those eyes".

"It was a warning for others, not you" A replied irritatedly.

"Enough arguing, He is making his move" Han interrupted.

A, Denji, and Kujira were facing Naruto, B and Han were to either side while Zabuza and Mangetsu were behind him. The seven of them had surrounded him.

Raising a finger, Naruto motioned the three in front of him.

"Let's dance!"

A was the first to react by activating his Lighting armour and dashing towards Naruto, his fist crackled with lightning as it made its way to blow Naruto's head clean off.

His fist passed through Naruto's head as he stumbled a step before regaining his posture, it all happened within the blink of an eye.

Han was surpris1ed as he was suddenly launched into the air and blasted across the battlefield. All he saw was A disappearing from his spot and stumbling where Naruto stood.

Naruto lowered his leg as he gave an arrogant smirk, "This is too easy and you-".

He was interrupted mid-sentence as Kujira swung his sword and released a blast of chakra from his sword.

Easily dodging the attack, Naruto moved to attack him but B, in his version 2 cloak dashed towards him and launched a devastating flying kick at his torso.

Naruto raised his sword and successfully blocked the attack, the force of the kick pushing him back several feet. Raising his free hand, he pointed towards B who was in the process of launching a punch.

"Sho"

An invisible force blasted B away before his fist could reach Naruto, crashing him into A. He again raised his sword to block an attack from Kujira but this time his sword was covered in a black flame-like substance.

As Hiramekarei, in the shape of a long chakra sword made contact with Naruto's Mugetsu, it abruptly lost its chakra and reverted to its base form. Kujira gave a shocked expression before jumping back to gain distance.

Mangetsu and Zabuza both appeared from Naruto's blindside and slashed their swords towards Naruto.

The Kubikiribōchō was sliced clean off, its blade falling in the distance while the lightning attack from the Kiba vanished as it came in contact with Mugetsu.

Mangetsu gawked at his damaged sword in disbelief.

"You should have reinforced it with chakra" Zabuza retorted as they both jumped back.

"I did reinforce it with chakra!".

"You two should leave" Naruto called out, "Both of you are skilled, that much I can say for certain but it won't be enough, not in this fight."

Angered by the implication that they were being called weak, Zabuza rushed towards Naruto with his swords raised and crackling with electricity.

"I'll make you eat those words!" Zabuza yelled defiantly, Mangetsu tried to stop him but he just zapped past him.

Naruto didn't move, letting Zabuza close the distance and strike him.

"Raiton: Rakurai (Lightning style: Lightning Slash)"

Kiba glowed Yellow with lightning and struck Naruto. Zabuza smirked in satisfaction, finally being able to land a hit.

"Is that it?" Naruto asked in a bored tone.

Zabuza widened his eyes in surprise and tried to move back but couldn't. As the dust settled, Naruto was seen holding back both the swords with his index finger.

"You" Naruto gazed at Mangetsu "Do you want to 'make me eat those words' too?"

Mangetsu froze with fear as soon as their eyes met, 'I am dead, I am dead' he kept repeating in his mind as he stared into Naruto's Sharingan. After a few seconds, Mangetsu dropped to the ground with his eyes rolling back and mouth foaming.

"Yyou killed him?" Zabuza asked fearfully.

"No" Naruto replied as he let go of the blades making Zabuza stumble back in terror, "He fainted".

Nobody moved as they observed Naruto for any sudden moves.

"Both of you are lucky that you faced me and not any of my teammates" Zabuza slowly moved back towards Mangetsu while giving Naruto a fearful look, "Had you faced anyone else, the two of you would have been killed for sure. A battlefield is not a place for children. Retreat, I have no intention of raising my sword against a bunch of kids."

"Too bad!" Kujira yelled as he appeared behind Zabuza and Mangetsu, "I have no problem killing brats, especially if they give me an advantage in the fight". With that, he swung his sword in a wide arc intending to slice Naruto along with Mangetsu and Zabuza.

Before the slash could be completed, Naruto teleported besides Kujira and with a quick slash, severed his hands.

Ignoring the pained screams, Naruto walked towards Zabuza, who was frozen in fear, and threw him along with Mangetsu across the battlefield to safety and announced "Playtime is over. I believed your leaders would intervene if you were losing but even now, after losing nearly all of your army, they have yet to lift a finger. I had planned to resolve this conflict with the least amount of bloodshed."

Flashing behind Kujira with blood dripping from his sword, Naruto continued "But that is not the case anymore. Prepare yourselves!" with that he slashed his sword to the side to discard the blood sticking to it. As he completed the motion, Kujira fell to the ground, his body sliced into numerous pieces.

"Come, Lets end this" Naruto invited.

A , B and Han rushed forward while Denji followed behind them.

Xxx With Sakumo and Kushina xxX

"Looks like you're in trouble" Kushina commented as she appeared beside Sakumo.

"Nothing I can't handle" He replied, the giant water wave closing in rapidly, "but I won't refuse your help if you are offering."

Kushina nodded in response, "That's a higher S ranked jutsu, so an S-ranked combination?", Sakumo nodded, "I'll do fire, you take wind" nodding in conformation she along with Sakumo begun to rapidly weave through hand seals.

After completing the hand seals, Sakumo's body was covered in red-hot fire chakra which he then directed to his mouth and released a literal Tsunami of red-hot flames.

"Katon: Ryuuka no Jutsu [Fire Release: Dragon Fire Technique]".

But the fire technique alone didn't have the power to overwhelm the S-ranked jutsu.

That's where Kushina came in, taking in a huge amount of air, she completed the necessary hand seals and released a large blast of wind.

"Fuuton: Fūjin no aegi [Gasp Of The Wind God]"

The wind, combined with the fire jutsu, amplified its power and mass. The red Tsunami slowly turned blue and matched the size of the water wave.

There was a loud boom when the two techniques met, each trying to overpower the other, after a few seconds of the collision, the fire was able to overpower the water resulting in a huge volume of steam spewing out.

Before the fire could reach them Jijin cancelled it with another water jutsu causing even more steam.

"I have lost them" Kushina whispered as she unsheathed her katana.

"Me too, the steam has blocked our view and the chakra in it is making us hard to sense them" Sakumo replied as he too got in a ready stance.

"Is it just me or is the steam growing denser."

"They must have used Kirigakure no Jutsu (Hidden Mist Technique)". Sakumo replied, " Can you dispel it?"

Kushina grinned as an idea hit her, "I have a better idea".

Xxx With the three Kages xxX

" We should intervene now" Ōnoki suggested.

"I agree", the Raikage replied, "We have lost many good ninjas today, we must make sure their sacrifices are not in vain."

Glancing at the Mizukage, who seemed to be in deep thought, Ōnoki started "It is too late for any second thoughts, we will proceed as planned."

The Mizukage gave a reluctant nod and proceeded to run towards Naruto, the two kids beside him followed his lead.

"I don't trust him", the Raikage whispered.

"He will do his part. If not..." Ōnoki left the threat hanging.

"Is it time?" a man with blonde hair inquired.

"You have kept us waiting long enough" another man, with ashen hair continued.

The Raikage was silent for a while then he addressed a ninja near him, "Tell our troops to retreat and to attend to the injured. They have fought well". he continued as an after-thought.

The two behind him smirked and leapt in Naruto's direction.
