Guest: I don't believe that an archetype is necessary, and even if I believed so, I wouldn't let something like someone has already done it affect me, I would just do it my way, I won't bring the melodious cards, no matter how close they are to my heart, and honestly I haven't read that much yu-gi-oh GX self-insert fanfics, and I believe most other people haven't as well, they aren't many for starters, and they mostly use dragons or magicians.

POV: Jack

It was the morning of the exam, and I was already facing my greatest challenge since I arrived in this world.

"Man does red look great on me, then again that is to be expected considering to whom I hold a resemblance, and the fact that I have all this high-quality clothing certainly does help; still, I wonder if going with a red suit jacket is too tacky, what do you think Joan?" I asked my friend / life partner.

"I think that the taxi that is going to take you to the examination arena is arriving in 15 minutes, and you should hurry, also yes, just use the red dress shirt that you have been looking at for the last 15 minutes" she says calmly, though I can tell she is a little frustrated.

"This is important, okay? Looking good is an important part of being good, it helps boost my confidence" I always was and still am a supporter of good first impressions, people make literally dozens of assumptions when first meeting someone, it's human nature to try to understand the unknown, in this case, a new person, and considering they know nothing about you, they will do the second-best thing and try to get information from your looks; that is why I believe it is preferable if the information they get is positive, after all a bad impression can last a long time, just looking at Crowler and Jaiden is enough of an example.

Ignoring the snort of amusement, I felt from my link to Joan, I finally decided on a wine-red dress shirt with black trousers and a nice silver belt to complete the look "maybe I should get a nice hat".

Looking through my deck one last time, I went down to the street to wait for my drive to the test area, while waiting I also went diving into and out of my memory for cards we may be asked about.

Arriving at the giant stadium that was the place for the two parts of the exam, I couldn't help but wonder about how much money Kaiba has, to throw around enough to build something like this, well Kaiba Corp truly is where the money is at, he literally influenced modern culture in a way that couldn't be understated, he is like Bill Gates, if Bill Gates was even richer and had created a new professional sport that everyone played and monetized it to the extreme.

Getting out of my musings and entering the testing area, after taking my time to ask one of the helpful employees where the testing area for the theoretical part was in this giant building, I couldn't help but feel proud of my habit of arriving early to all kinds of test or exams. Arriving an hour earlier has always been a habit of mine, I simply get stressed out otherwise.

I was almost about to ask for directions again when coming out of the corner I collided with someone. Grunting at the impact I remained standing while the other person fell to the ground with a girlish squeak.

Looking down at the floor, I had to hold back the grin on my face "why hello there canon" I thought, as I saw who I crashed into, brownish red hair that goes to her shoulders, grey eyes, and a cute face all wrapped in the obelisk blue girl's uniform and some fingerless gloves.

Damm is that uniform good.

POV: Jasmine

Having to wait for Mindy and Lexis to arrive was already a pain, (stupid dad and his obsession for earliness) but now while she was on the cold floor her mood already damped, she was about to snap at the inconsiderate jerk who put her on this situation, but her words died at her throat when she actually looked at him.

"What a dreamboat!" I couldn't help the stray thought and the small blush, but really, he was handsome no doubt about it, quite tall too, and he was dressed Fine with a capital F, then again, the only thing I see lately is the academy uniform and that shows a lot more skin for the girls than the boys.

"Excuse me, Miss, I am terribly sorry about what happened, I was just looking for the theory exam room" Mm, that's nice voice, could read me the periodic table with that one. What was he saying? Looking for the test room? Must be one of the first years that didn't go to prep school, unlike most people she knows.

Taking the hand he offered, she stood up and answered, "You have to be more careful, what would you have done if I had gotten hurt?" She knew it was probably both of them at fault, but her temper sometimes gets the better of her, especially when it comes to protecting her friends.

Luckily it didn't seem he took personally if the chuckle and smile were any indications.

"Once again I am terribly sorry Miss?" She hadn't told her name hadn't she, neither had he told her his.

"My name is Jasmine Makurada, what is yours?" who knows, maybe this guy will be a good duelist, better to make connections now than later, some people may think that's kinda shady, but she wasn't interested in being a pro duelist, that was more Lexis thing, she on the other was always more interested in the business side of Duel Monsters, the amount of money some pro duelists won on the merchandise alone was ridiculous, and while she had Alexis sometimes it is better not to put all your eggs on one basket, not that she didn't have complete trust on her abilities it is more the principle of the thing.

"That is a beautiful name, Jasmine just like the flowers, my name is Jack Greywarden it is a pleasure to meet you" Ha interesting name, definitely not from Japan at least, also he seems quite the sweet talker. "I was curious if you could tell where the test is going to take place?" He did ask that didn't he?

"Sure, I just passed it if you want directions, I can give them to you" She couldn't deny a little feeling of disappointment, there really wasn't a lot to do here while waiting for her friends to arrive.

"That would be great, if it isn't too much to ask could you please show me the way I am afraid of getting lost again, besides we can talk in the meantime" he said like he was reading her mind, mm it IS tempting, oh what the hell is not like she had anything better to do.

Pov: Back to Jack

I will admit that the amount of fun that I had with Jasmine surprised me, not to insult her or anything but her anime depiction made her seem like she would fall into puppy love for any attractive man, like Aster, Atticus, and even that tennis guy whatever his name was.

There was a little of that here, she wasn't nearly as subtle at checking me out as she thought but there was more to the hunger in her eyes than teenage hormones. I admit, I was initially confused but when talking about what we would like to do in the future, she seemed to light up like a lighthouse in a storm; the following tangent we went involving all the ways duelists make money left me slightly dizzy, but hey more power to her for finding what she wants to with her life (and actually working towards it).

She joked when I said I was going to become a pro duelist that she could be my manager. She seemed surprised when I told her yes, but really this was anything if not beneficial to me, as much as I like the idea of being rich, I am no Pegasus or Kaiba that can balance business and dueling, mainly because I know absolutely nothing about business. Having an eager up-and-coming business expert be interested in me from the start can only be good for me.

She seemed to actually consider it before she shook her head from whatever daydream she was having and telling me she never saw me duel. Which fair enough, I couldn't give her much confidence in me without seeing me duel, so I just told her to keep a close eye on me on the practical. She accepted that and we separated on good terms.

Now we were starting the first part of the exam and there weren't any familiar faces around by test site, they must be in the others.

The test itself was kind of fun, in the same way, a trivia game can be fun. It was divided into the card knowledge section and the duel puzzle section.

The duel puzzle section was a favorite of mine, they presented you with a situation in a duel with LP, cards, and graveyard already chosen and you have to win the duel, in the turn given.

One example was a puzzle in which your opponent had three defense position marshmallons and gravity bind activated, you had a Breaker the magical warrior in the field with a spell counter, in your hand, you had Book of Moon, Book of Taiyou, and a Magician of faith. In the GY there was a Lightning vortex. You had 1000 LP and your opponent had 1900 LP

You win by setting the Magician of faith on the field and activating Book of Taiyou, the flip effect allows you to grab one spell card from your GY, activating Lightning vortex by discarding book of moon, the only thing left is activating Breaker's effect and destroying Gravity Bind an attacking for the game with it and Magician of Faith.

There were a bunch of puzzles like that one, and it is where I suspect Jaiden got enough points to pass.

The card knowledge part made me happy to have brushed on rare cards, what is the DEF of Jinzo? What Level is Dark Magician? What is the effect of the spell card Dangerous Machine Type-6? were just some of the questions.

While steamrolling through the test I encountered one question that made my eyes widen in recognition. What is the ATK of Athena?

I had honestly forgotten about the card, shouldn't have really it is one of the best Fairy type cards in this period of time, 600 damage for every fairy summoned is already good, when everyone has 4000LP every way of dealing damage directly becomes twice as dangerous, but the second effect was the best part being able to revive any fairy on the GY by sacrificing one in the field isn't impressive in the fast-paced meta I used to live in, but now it is great, it also has a good ATK for two tribute monster at 2600.

I will be looking out for the card when I arrive at the academy.

The rest of the test was a breeze, and thankfully the test itself was automatically graded by an A.I, had to expect Kaiba to replace manpower for machine power wherever he can. I was tied for first place with another test taker who I know for a fact must be Bastion, this pretty much guarantees me a place at Ra yellow as long as I don't fuck up the practical.

I am the examinee number 17#, it would seem that arriving earlier had some benefits, besides meeting Jasmine. Being one of the first examinees has its benefits no doubt, I will be able to see everyone duel after I am finished.

Now that I think about it how exactly is Jaiden going to be late if the first part of the exam already happened, I suppose I can ask him when I see him

Looking around the stadium grades, I am finally able to spot some familiar faces, there they are, the big mean dueling machine himself Hell Kaiser and the beautiful and elegant Alexis Rhodes. Oh, I can see Jasmine from here! Is that Mindy too? Seeing her make eye contact, I throw a cheeky wink, seeing her turn red from embarrassment making me chuckle to myself, she really is too easy to tease.

POV: Mindy Hamaguchi

"Oh! Did you see that Jasmine that cutie in down below just wink at me!" She already knew that wink was probably directed at Jasmine considering her reaction, but honestly, Jasmine was too easy to tease, and she was bored out of her mind seeing people duel kinda gets boring when the people dueling were bad or you see too many duels in a row, in this case, both situations apply.

"He wasn't winking at you! He was winking at me!" she said with surprising fervor, well isn't this interesting.

"Mm, what is with the reaction Jas-Jas, could it possibly be that you have a crush on our mysterious looker?" I said it half-joking but considering that her blush just got worse maybe I WAS onto something.

"I met him before you and Lexis arrived, you know how my dad insists on arriving early to everything, we just talked about a little of everything while waiting for the exams to start" So she just met him? Looking at him again more closely (or as close as you can from up here) she couldn't help to comment.

"You are so lucky, knowing your luck you just stumbled into each other" Seeing her friend going even more red (somehow) I couldn't help but gape a little, before devolving into a fury of giggles.

"Oh my god! That is so cliché Jas" that is a nice shirt though nice and tight.

"May examinee 17 Jack Greywarden please enter the field, I repeat may examinee 17 Jack Greywarden please enter the field" The voice came from the speakers and looking down and seeing Jasmines new friend going to duel, I decided to pay more attention to this duel, maybe he will surprise everyone Jasmine normally has an eye for talent when not looking down on people, yes that was her excuse it definitely didn't have anything to with his looks, no sir.

POV: Jack Greywarden

Yeah, she is fun, walking down the stairs I caught sight of a mane of cyan hair, well there is Syrus, man I never thought I would see so much nervous energy concentrated on one person. I think I saw Bastion for a second, oh well I just have to finish my business down here, and I will pop there for a talk.

Once in the arena, I look at the proctor for my exam, he is wearing a darker version of the obelisk blue coat, looking as hideous as I remembered, nice beard though.

"My name is Dean, and I am going to your examiner, you better be ready kid cause I am not going to go easy on you" How intimidating, or it would be if I hadn't known that Syrus manages to beat his proctor, I will admit that that fact served to calm any nerves I could possibly have.

"Understood Sir, how do we choose who starts?" Still no need to be a dick to a guy just doing his job.

"Being, the senior here I will go first" Same thing really to me, then again, I COULD potentially OTK if I go second.

"Well then enough talking then, DUEL! "We both said the last part at the same time, as it is tradition for some reason.

Dean LP: 4000

TURN 1

Drawing my five cards I couldn't help but smirk a little, I can work with this.

"Pay attention rookie, because I am going to start this duel with the spell card Fusion Sage, which allows me to bring a Polymerization from my deck to my hand" he said while looking through his deck, man I really need one of those duel disks that do everything for you, they look better too.

"Next, I activate Polymerization to fuse my Fairy Dragon and Winged Dragon, Guardian of the fortress #1 to create Kaiser Dragon!" seeing the two dragons mixed together in a swirl of light was interesting.

Kaiser Dragon (Level 7/ Light/ Dragon/ ATK 2300/ DEF 2000)

It actually looked pretty cool, now that I think about it I wonder how common it is to have a monster of the power of Joan, it doesn't seem likely that everyone had monsters like her, knowing the mentality of the people here they would flock to a high attack point, and Crowlers Ancient Gear Golem is considered a "legendary" card, what is needed to gain such status I don't know, rarity probably, and of course a heavy dose of power. Before my mind drags me further in that chain of thought the proctor continued his turn after seeing I wasn't intimidated in the slightest.

"Don't think I am finished, now I summon Koumori in Attack mode, and with that and a set card I finish my turn."

TURN 2

"Draw, this is the start of the end for you mister proctor, please don't take it personally" looking at my sixth card I smiled at seeing the growingly familiar face of my ace monster.

"First of all, I activate the spell card Mystical Space Typhoon destroying your set card" after seeing the set card get blow away without any consequence, I feel safe to continue my plan.

"I discard from my hand the monster card Hecatrice, this allows to activate its effect to bring the Continous Spell Valhalla Hall of the Fallen from my deck to my hand, and I am activating it now" the dual arena changed from normal, to what ironically looks more like a Roman hall than a Nordic one.

"This spell has one handy effect; it allows me to special summon any Fairy type monster from my hand as long as I don't have any monster in the field, I will be using this effect to summon my ace monster my very pride and soul Guardian Angel Joan!"

Guardian Angel Joan (Level 7/ Light/ Fairy/ ATK 2800 / DEF 2000)

"Thanks for the kind words partner" Joan says as she turns to face me, I wonder if Jaiden would be able to listen to her. Smiling at her, I honestly don't pay much attention to sudden exclamations in the grades from such a powerful monster being summoned the first turn by some nobody. This feeling, this elation I experience whenever I summon Joan, makes me understand people like Kaiba, there is just something about pitting a part of what makes you what you are against somebody else.

The proctor is already with his mouth slack open, but no this isn't the end of my turn, this is my first public match in front of the people I am going to most likely share years of my life with, I am going to show them that I am not someone to be underestimated or looked down upon.

"I follow that by normal summoning Freya Spirit of Victory in Attack mode. I then activate the continuous spell card Court of Justice which allows me to special summon a Fairy Type monster as long as I have a Level 1 Fairy on the field. In this case, I am summoning Tethys, the Light Divine"

Pulling Tethys, from a pack honestly just fueled my gambling/loot box addiction, convincing Joan that her telling me which pack had what cards wasn't stealing wasn't that difficult at all, I just told her that it was to ensure our mutual survival, and she understood instantly, she is practical like that

"But that is not all, because when Freya is on the field all Fairy Type monsters gain 400 attack and Defense points!" Seeing Freya cheer was honestly adorable, the boost was good to I suppose.

Guardian Angel Joan (Level 7/ Light/ Fairy/ ATK 3200 / DEF 2400)

Tethys, the Light Divine (Level 5/ Light/ Fairy/ ATK 2800/ DEF 2200)

Freya Spirit of Victory (Level 1 / Light / Fairy / ATK 500/ DEF 500)

"Now Joan attacks his Kaiser Dragon! HOLY NOVA!" Joan floated atop of Deans Kaiser Dragon and extended her wings making a sphere of light come of here breaking his dragon to pieces.

Dean LP: 4000-900= 3100

"This activates Joan's effect, giving me Life Points equal to your monsters attack points"

Jack LP: 4000+2300= 6300

"Tethys, attack his Koumori Dragon! Seraphic Feathers!" Tethys, flew at great speeds over the smaller dragon dropping some feathers along the way skewering it in the process.

Dean LP: 3100-1300= 1800

"Finally, Freya attack his life points directly!" seeing someone get slapped by a cheerleader's pom-pom was as entertaining as it sounded. I really don't need this last play but whatever I do it for the flex.

"Before finishing my turn I activate the spell, Card of Demise which allows me to draw cards until I have 5 in my hand" Drawing four more cards until I had the requisite, this is it, my best pull from the packs, the moment I opened it I remember screaming to the ceiling in celebration, this is one of if not the most powerful draw cards in the game, the secondary effect can easily be managed, the selling price of this card is just ridiculous, and being used by Kaiba helped a lot with the prizing.

I can see at the stands how people's eyes widen at seeing the card, and poor Dean looks exasperated with me, I am sorry for that, but this is necessary I don't like being disrespectful and expect the same politeness from others, even still I know that sometimes manners have to be taught by a show of force, and this exactly that, I am in absolute control of this duel so far, and this card will guarantee that is a fact till the end of the duel.

Besides if this gets me the attention of a beautiful dark blond girl and my biggest paycheck in the academy the better.

"I end my turn by setting 3 cards face down" There isn't a play that he can make that I can't stop, his deck just isn't good enough, and while he isn't a bad duelist, he isn't a great one either.

Turn 3

"Jeez kid, talk about overkill, I set a face-down monster and face down card and end my turn" He seemed to give up, but I am not dumb enough to see a bluff at face value. He is clearly irritated that I am handling him as easily as I am.

Turn 4

Drawing my card, I am about to make my move when I hear Dean speak.

"I activate the trap card Threatening Roar, this card has the effect where my opponent can't attack the turn it is activated" Trying to buy time? Oh well this duel has gone long enough

"I activate the counter Trap card Dark Bribe which allows to negate your card by allowing you to draw 1 card" seeing his trap card spluttering and failing, seemed to get most fight out of him.

"This is checkmate proctor; Joan attacks his face down! HOLY NOVA!" Attacking the face down reveals a man-eater bug, but before its effect activates, I am already in the direction to press my trap card.

"This card allows to destroy one mon-" before Dean can finish even saying the effect, I interrupt him calmly "I activate my second trap card Divine Wrath, by discarding one card I am able to negate the effect of a monster and destroy it" As if I would let some shitty bug destroy my ace monster seconds before winning.

Finally seeing he wasn't going to win Dean seemed to take a deep breath, before smiling and throwing me a thumbs-up.

"Tethys end this! Seraphic Feathers" Virtual feathers flew through the hall at deadly speeds hitting Dean sending him back and ending the duel in the process.

Dean LP: 1800-2800= 0000

Finishing the duel, I see all the 3D holograms disappear, Joan staying for a second long to show me a victorious grin, that I no doubt was imitating.

Hearing the cheering from the stands for the show of power feels great, man do I love myself and my Deck.

Though this does show me that I may be starting to really on Joan too much, not to say she isn't great or anything, but having more duel spirits would only make my bond to my Deck stronger, it already is extremely strong, as Joan explained that her fusing with me has made it, so I literally have a part of me in my Deck, but that bond is mostly reliant on Joan. It isn't a problem now, but I have always been in favor of cutting problems of the bud before they can grow.

No sense worrying about it now, I am sure that the spirits will find me if not the other way around

Going up the stairs, I go searching for Syrus, I am sure the kid could use a pep talk right now, who knows, maybe I will meet Bastion and Jaden.

I wonder what everyone is thinking about my performance.

POV: Alexis Rhodes

"So, Zane, what do you think of that first year, he is definitely Ra material" even though she said Ra, in reality he was more than enough for Obelisk, "Not that, it means much with all the prep school kids in it", but for some reason, you couldn't go directly to the strongest dorm from the exam, smelled like foul play to her, but it is what it is.

"He is good, without a doubt to make to Ra, especially if the rumors about him tying for first place on the theoretical are true, he seems to know what it means to really use a card, but we will see how he turns out when he arrives at the academy". Said her almost always silent friend, not seeming to be surprised with what Jack was it? Had shown.

She was honestly impressed, to be able to summon, two powerful monsters in only one turn, without sacrificing any monsters too, he had full control over the match from the beginning, he never let himself lose momentum until his opponent was beaten.

She would be lying if she said she wasn't excited, she loved to duel, the challenge especially, this Jack Greywarden was looking to be an interesting opponent.

POV: Chazz Princeton

"Wow, that guy sure did give the proctor a beating don't you think Chazz?" said one of his friends from prep school. "Yeah, I heard he tied for first place with some other guy, Misawa something" said the other guy, honestly, he couldn't really be bothered to remember them all.

"Cmon guys, don't get too impressed, sure he may have beaten his punk proctor, but duel academy is an entirely different beast, we went to prep school we are ready for this guy or any other Ra reject" Sure the guy showed some skills but if he thinks he can raise above his stations, he will make sure to remember him of his place, what was the saying? that the nail that sticks out shall be hammered down?

POV: Jasmine

"Did you see his monsters Jas? They were so pretty! Maybe you could convince him to tell me where he got them," said her friend but honestly her mind was elsewhere.

He told her to keep a close eye on him during the exam, and she definitely was impressed, he has the talent that is for sure, now what she needs to see was Jack going against the best of the best from their generation, so either Chazz or Alexis, the later was much more easily manageable knowing her friend she was already weighing Jacks worth as a duelist.

Remembering what Mindy said, she couldn't to agree, that card his ace monster Guardian Angel Joan was beautiful which was honestly a rarity in Duel Monsters especially with male duelists, they just were more attracted to other Types of monsters, Dragons, Machines and Warriors will always sell with the boys, so seeing a male duelist with not only what seemed to be a Fairy deck but with a female boss monster was curious.

Oh well, she will have time to get to know him when they start their schooling at the academy.

POV: Jack

Eh, I am sure it is all positive. Looking up I see a mop of hair going down the stairs, seems I missed Syrus being called down, a shame.

Is that Bastion? Oh well let's pop for a talk. "Hello is this seat empty" I said signaling to the chair alongside his. Man, Bastion's all white clothes make him look like a monk.

"It is free, if you wish to sit there my fellow examinee, I must say you dealt well with your proctor down there" So he saw huh? Knowing this guy, he probably is already thinking of counters for my deck, not that I consider that a bad thing, one must use what tools he is given in life, and Bastion has his analytical mind going for him.

"I am happy that you enjoyed that, my name is Jack Greywarden a pleasure to meet you, Mr.?" Seeing Bastion realize he hadn't introduced himself got a chuckle out of me, but then again, the manners he has was one of my favorite parts of his character in the series, so many anime characters just bluster through everything insulting everyone (even if they don't mean to). And seeing it here now that I live here, well it is a breath of fresh air, I could see myself being friends with Bastion.

"My name is Bastion Misawa, the pleasure is all mine Jack, I must say you have quite an interesting deck, Fairies, is it?" He asks, and from there we converse about the duels happening in the arena, what we would have done which misplays we caught and the like, it is fun.

Soon Bastion is called down to the arena, being the supposed last duelist, and I am left sitting alone, until I see Syrus coming up to stand up behind me in the rails.

"Hello there how did you do in the exam? My name is Jack Greywarden by the way" I am killing time till we can go to the island may as well start a conversation.

"Eh-h, you are talking to me?" he stutters and points to himself, seeing me nod with a calm smile on my face seemed to make him less nervous, sheesh, Zane did his little brothers' confidence dirty, of course some of it is Syrus own self-confidence issues, but Zane has been anything but good at showing that he cares for him.

"Man, I can't believe that I passed I was so nervous" Our attention is then pulled to the arena seeing Bastion defeat the proctor with Ring of Destruction, man another card that I want.

"Wow that guy sure did beat the proctor good!" I look over my shoulder, to see the man himself, Jaiden Yuki.

"Yeah, he tied for the best score in the first test with some other guy, Jack something I think... WAIT! You are that Jack?!" I only smiled at him a mischievous grin causing his eyebrow to twitch.

"Well, I barely passed, but when I go there to duel I show them all how great I am" I was curious about this actually, how did he get here late? the exams are literally in the same place.

"You do realize that was supposed to be the last duel right?" Syrus mercilessly popped his bubble.

"So, Jack, I hope that duel was to your satisfaction" Bastion arrived, and I threw him a thumbs up.

"May Jaiden Yuki report to exam field 4#" Jaiden went down spouting something about being the number one duelist of our generation (Yeah Right!), but my mind was already on other things, I can't wait to go to Duel Academy, the beds better be good at the Ra Dorm, I honestly didn't care much for the food, I know I will get to Obelisk sooner than later, but I hate sleeping in an uncomfortable bed.

Getting my attention pulled to the ground bellow by the cheering student body, I focus my attention just in time to see Flame Wingman destroy Ancient Gear Golem, winning Jaden the duel.

Being on the cruise ship to Duel Academy Island, I have some time to myself.

One interesting fact that I learned was, that apparently unlike the anime, not all females get instantly upgraded to Obelisk Blue, which makes sense, as if Kaiba would stand to such a thing, he is a believer in Meritocracy through and through, sure there is the whole rich kids get into Obelisk thing, but that can be somewhat understood, after all the fact that people who went to a prep school for dueling should be better at dueling that those who don't, makes sense on paper.

I am pretty sure I caught glimpse of a Ra yellow girl, that was familiar somehow, meh I am sure there are a lot of gingers on the island.

"Joan are there any spirits besides the Sacred Beasts that you can feel in the island" I thought through our bond, so as not to look crazy.

"There are so many, partner, the island is practically a beacon for duel spirits, with the Sacred Beasts and the abundance of duels it was inevitable that it would end this way" Now isn't this interesting, I do hope I meet someone interesting.

"Jack there is something you must know" Joan said pulling my full attention at how serious her voice sounded "When you fused with the previous Jack and then partially with myself, your soul became like a beacon to spirit monsters, your soul isn't just "big" for a normal human being, but you also give of a feeling similar to mine, you are to do with this fact what you want but I believed you deserved to know"

This is... good, better than good actually, duel spirit monsters are an extremely important part of dueling at the highest level, them being attracted to me is mostly beneficial, and I am sure that Joan can protect me should the worst-case scenario occur.

"Hahaha, don't worry so much Joan, come here to enjoy the sea breeze with me" I said with an easy smile, I am somehow more excited to arrive at the island now.

Edit: My dumb ass thought Valhalla hall of the fallen was a field spell, though in the manga it is we are not using the manga version, I have another field spell planned.
