I think this chapter is a good showcase of what makes Jack's deck good.

Man, this is a good morning, the beds here are good and that is always a plus, the mood is cozy, the people aren't too arrogant to be annoying nor too depressed with their situation on the social hierarchy to be just sad to be around.
I spent the morning walking to the academy with Penny and Bastion (he got up super early the freak of nature), talking about which additional class we took.
The way things work around here is that there exists a core of subjects, Dueling 101, Duel Alchemy, Gym, etc., but there are also some additional subjects of which you to pass at least one.
I am taking Introduction to card design, Penny is taking Duel Disk's 101, she seems really interested in the technological part of Duel Monsters. Bastion like the nerd he is decided to take both, and the third one, Economy of Duel Monsters I.
No, I am not Jealous that he probably will get to spend time with Jasmine, shut up.
The classes themselves were interesting in a weird kind of way. Being praised by Crowler for knowing the difference between destroying and negating a card was surreal.
Then again, a lot of people back home needed that lesson at first.
Crowler's class specifically was an eye opener into the mind of the man himself. Crowler here holds no ill emotion towards the Slifer room, he does to Laziness.
He said it himself in the first class, there are literally hundreds of people who would have loved to be here where we are, and he sees people managing to get here only to become a "slacker" as an extreme insult to those people who tried but couldn't.
Of course, he isn't the perfect teacher (holding a grudge against your own student is a big no-no), but I think I could see where he is coming from.
I don't completely agree with him, after all, some people (like Jaiden) learn by doing rather than the traditional way of educating, and really if you couldn't get here, with the quality of the Slifer red students, well...
You should consider alternative career choices is all I am saying.
The other classes were okay, Duel alchemy wasn't that bad, if you looked between the lines, you could see that banner was actually teaching healthy deck ratios.
The Gym class was hilarious and distracting, first of all, can I say that the gym uniform covers much more than the regular female one, that is an interesting design choice if I have ever seen one.
It also allows me to flex, my factually superhuman physique, the face on the teachers (and wasn't she a beauty) after I finished my 20th lap barely winded was extremely amusing.
Though I don't know if that look, she sent me for a second belonged on a teacher.
Speaking of inappropriate looks, Jasmine was looking downright thirsty for a second, which I teased her for at every opportunity.
After Gym, we get a pause for lunch, I went with Jaiden, Syrus, and Bastion (may have had to drag him there), to the card store.
I got a ramen sandwich, kind of messy I won't lie, the copy of Secret Village of Spellcasters was nice though.
Finally, I had my last class of the day, Introduction to card design, there were two parts to it, the art and the actual card itself.
"Cards have to tell a story "Was the motto our teacher made us standby.
I found Mindy there, drawing what seemed to be a princess made of some type of dessert, it looked kind of familiar.
We sat together and talked about, what we liked to see in a card; cuteness was her straightforward response.
I on the other hand always loved when an Archetype would tell a story in of itself, the stories this card game has for some of them are incredible, and knowing that those same events really happened was breathtaking in a good and bad way.
Finally, the day ended, and I had some time for myself in my comfy room.
I thought of stopping all the love card nonsense, but it would Jaden some good to duel Alexis, and no one was harmed.
Hell, Syrus got sat on by three hot girls out of the shower, I am doing the kid a favor if anything.
I have also been thinking of dueling more, it has only been a day, but I need to make a reputation so people will come to me and gain me some money.
Maybe I will hang out around the Duel Arena and look for some Obelisk kids to beat up.
I was about to start listening to music and relax when I heard my PDA go up.
Who would send a message at this time of the night?
(A little bit earlier at the blue dorm)
Pov: Alexis Rhodes
"I say we use Syrus here as a kind of bait" this could work, we just had to send a message to Jaiden, and we could get him to come here.
It would be harmless, even if he lost, she would just let them leave.
"Baiting who? Is this one convoluted way of you getting a duel Lexis?"
Well, when Jasmine put it like that it did sound kind of odd.
"It is an opportunity Jasmine, Jaiden is potentially the best male duelist for the first years, he did beat Crowler after all, and was about to beat Chazz yesterday if the duel didn't get interrupted"
And wasn't that duel a surprise, a shame it got disrupted before Chazz could get some much-needed humbleness forced into him.
"The Slifer red kid? Not that I doubt your eye for a duelist Lexis, but I don't think he is the best male first-year duelist"
Oh? Is Jasmine talking about Jack or maybe Misawa? Probably the former, considering their "relationship", she was definitely fun to tease, that kiss was brave she will give him that.
"I think Jack is very good as well, all his matches last no more than a couple of turns, he kind of reminds me of Zane actually" Mindy said casually, well she never was super interested in dueling.
But still to compare him to Zane was just too much, though she could see where her friends were coming from, even though she hadn't seen Jack duel all that much, they were all complete victories on his part.
That dueling style of not letting your opponent breath and crushing them in as a short time frame as possible was exactly like how Zane duels.
She thought about it and didn't see that much of a problem with the plan.
"Okay we will send both a message to come here if they want to help their friend here, I am pretty sure Jack has been hanging out with both of them anyways"
She will not tease Jasmine for how eager she was to get Jack here, for now, she had to prepare to duel one of the best students in the year after all.
Definitely later though.

Walking to one of the boats in the shore, I don't see Jaiden, I suppose he got here before me, or will arrive soon.
Rowing the boat was easy, I could go extremely fast with my enhanced body, but I have no reason to do so, so I just relax and go at an easy pace.
I wonder, if I will duel someone, and if I will who?
No offense meant she is a great duelist, but I don't think Alexis is at my level yet, same thing goes for Jaden, this literally the weakest version of him right at the start of everything.
I don't doubt that the Supreme King, could potentially beat me.
I am confident, not arrogant.
Hitting land, it is just in time to see Alexis speaking with Jaden.
"Jasmine, darling not even our first date and you are already blackmailing me to come and see you? You could have just asked you know?" her slack jawed expression and blush made this trip worth it.
Mindy's giggles and Alexis amused expression were great as well.
"It isn't like that!" Jasmine explained, sheesh people will hear if she screams that loud.
"So, someone else stole your PDA and sent the message, we exchange contact info remember. Also, what is with Syrus and the ropes? I didn't know you three were so kinky"
She seemed embarrassed to have forgotten that, and the last comment had them all paling slightly.
"Also, you know blackmailing people is illegal right? I could take a picture of you three with Syrus in a rope, and the message you send me and get you three kicked from here for extorting someone for a duel"
They were paling even more now, but really what were they thinking, this is Jaiden he would have accepted a duel from a literal monkey, no need to make things more complicated.
"Don't worry I won't, it isn't worth the work, besides as if I could live with myself if I kicked out three beautiful girls like yourselves"
I don't care that I am flirting with the three of them at once, I could literally, get my soul ripped from my body at any shadow duel.
I won't live a life with regrets.
Besides they seemed to like it, more Jasmine and Mindy, but I will get around to spending time with Alexis someday.
It isn't even because she is beautiful (though she is), but she definitely needs more friends. That and knowing what happened to his brother, but I will plan for that someday.
"Wow! Aren't you brave? I don't think we ever had someone flirt with all three of us at the same time" a Mindy, she has such a nice attitude, it is hard not to like her really.
"So how are we doing this, does Miss Rhodes maybe want a ménage à trois, with Jaiden and me? Do be careful we may be too much for you"
Okay maybe I am having way too much with the innuendos, but hey it is late, I want to duel a drop to my bed.
"What are you think you pervert!" Seem she reached her limit.
"Dueling of course! What were YOU thinking Alexis?" She has a surprisingly cute expression when embarrassed.
She looked at me with a deadpan smile.
"That is it, I am dueling Jaden. Jasmine, go duel your boyfriend"
And with that, she dragged Jaiden to duel in the water.
"So how do you want to do this maybe a two on one?" I honestly believe I could beat them even if they team up.
"Na, I am not much of a duelist, besides I am sure Jasmine wants to spend some alone time with you, hehe"
Well, at least Mindy is showing to be a good wingwoman for Jasmine.
"It is time to test you Jack, you said you wanted me to be your manager when you went professional, well if you can't beat me there is little chance of it, no?"
Well, when she is so excited it makes me feel kind of bad for wanting to test Venus on her.
"Sure, thing Jasmine" I chuckled, these two are pretty funny together, and there is another thing I would like to do with them together.
No! bad Jack, you have a duel to win, get your mind out of the gutter.

I must say the uncensored version of the Harpies, is downright incredible. They allow children to see this? I mean, sure the art isn't too bad, but the hyper-realistic 3-D holograms may be a touch too much for middle schoolers.
Also, she is using Harpies huh. I remember her using them in the Tag Force games.
Always was more of an Amazoness kind of guy myself better archetype by far in my opinion.

"Draw, I activate Pot of Greed, allowing me to draw two more cards" said pot appeared and showed which cards they were before I drew them.
Okay, I can work with this.
"Next, I activate the Field Spell Divine Sanctuary, while this field is activated all monsters except for Fairy type monsters lose 500 attack points, additionally all Fairy monsters cost 1 less tribute to summon"
Statues and buildings made of marble started sprouting around us, now this looks like a place where Venus would live.
Jasmine's monsters seemed to weaken as well, as if standing in this holy ground was hurting them.
"Such a powerful effect!" Seems Jasmine appreciates it too, it is a good card, though, in reality, it isn't all that different from A Legendary Ocean.

"Not so fast I activate my trap card Windstorm of Etaqua, which changes all my opponent's monsters attack position's"
Tethys stopped mid attack as a gust of wind made her stumble into defense mode.
"Not bad Jasmine, you sure defended yourself well"
It wasn't that great of a play, a fairly simple one, all things considered, but at least she has a decent deck.
"Then I will set two cards and end my turn"

"Draw!, I activate another Elegant Egotist, getting another copy of the sisters into the field"

Not a bad move at all, a shame she overextended though.

"What! it can't be!" Ah, the face someone makes when they get hit by Mirror Force is something I will always enjoy.
All her monsters got blown up to shards leaving Tethys no worse for wear, than before.
"I-I, I set a card and pass" Oof now I feel bad, though honestly, she isn't a bad duelist, at least by this world standards.
She needs to work on her back row awareness though.
Turn 4
"Draw, I will sacrifice Tethys for my newest monster, through all the celestial bodies, that govern our solar system, there is one that shines like no other, descend forth! The Splendid VENUS!"
The last part Venus said alongside me, she sure loves herself, that is fine though, I love myself as well.
The Splendid VENUS (Level 8/ Fairy/ Light/ 2800 ATK/ 2400 DEF)
She truly looks great, shining golden, and with her four wings; she looks like you would imagine an archangel to look like.
"Wha-at, Splendid Venus? I have never heard of that card, just how rare is she?!"
I had almost forgotten that almost no one knows of the legendary planets, not for long though, with me at her side Venus will be the first thing, people will think when they hear legendary planets.
"She is rarer than the Seto Kaiba's Blue-Eyes White Dragon or Yugi Moto's Dark Magician, there is only one copy of her in existence, and she is all mine"
That drew wide eyes and gasps from them, those cards were extremely rare. There being only one copy of a card made it extremely sought after, by the simple fact of it being a vanity piece.
But a card like Venus? Which was extremely powerful? Yeah, having the only copy of such a powerful monster was a big deal.
"I activate the spell card Monster Reborn, and bring back Tethys the Light Divine to the field in attack mode"
Jasmine took a moment to take her eyes of Venus to look at the field. She honestly didn't seem that mad to lose.
I suppose losing to an extremely rare and powerful card, does help soothe the ego.
"Go, The Splendid VENUS, Tethys, Celestial Light! Seraphic Feathers!"
Venus raised, her ornamented scepter to the sky and a light came from above Jasmine falling on top of her like she had been smitten by the stars.

"Hey, look at the bright side Jas, at least we were right about who was the best duelist of the first years!"
Now isn't this interesting, nice to see some faith.
"I suppose you are right; come on guys I see Alexis and Jaden coming back."
"So, you won as well, Jaden?" Honestly, the early duels of the series were kind of basic, it felt like not only was the first season episodic, but the decks as well at least for Jaden having a new card for an extremely specific scenario appear.
I mean sure with the heart of the cards I don't doubt Jaden can make it work, but it could be better.
I mean there were so many cards that required a specific elemental hero to work, so many.
"Sure did bud, now we can take Syrus back with us, and teach him a lesson on double reading all mysterious letters that guide him to break the rules"
Ha! He didn't even say not to break the rules, then again, this Jaden what else would I expect.
"Well, it has been a pleasure, best blackmailed date I have had, but it is getting late, and I want to sleep" I said getting a nod of agreement from Jaden and giggles from Jasmine and Mindy.
Good to see she isn't holding a grudge against me for losing (read: getting crushed).
"Well, before I leave take a parting gift, from your future manager" Jasmine said before she got close a kissed me on the cheek.
"This minx turned it back to me!" I couldn't move for a second, registration of what happened taking a second.
After it did though I couldn't help the stupid-looking grin on my face nor the small blush.
"I am taking you on a date soon" I said with a low tone of voice, getting a blush and a smile from her.
"You better" Man do I like her.
(Later) Alexis Pov
After the boys left, I turned to Mindy and Jasmine.
"So that happened" Making Jasmine blush heavily and Mindy start laughing out loud.
Sighing at her friends, she remembered why she sent them to Jack in the first place.
"So, was he as good as you thought?" She lost to Jaden, so she is pretty sure he is the best first year, the only other possible candidates were Jack and maybe Misawa.
"He was better, I didn't stand a chance, even when I thought, I was turning the duel around he had complete control over everything" That was about what she expected really.
"He also had a supposedly super rare card" Wait what?
"What Card?" This could be important to any future duels they had.
"The card was called The Splendid VENUS, let's go inside, we can tell you more there and it is getting cold" Jasmine seemed a little smug about this card his "friend" used on her.
It was getting cold though, better head inside
(Next Day) POV: Jack
It was morning and I was doing my daily grooming rituals.
" Baby, you'll never find a love like mine
I'll make you scream and I'll make you want it

What? I like singing while I dress.
"Hi" I heard someone greet me.
"Sup" I greeted back.
Wait a minute.
Looking to my side I see a woman staring at me, or her face at least peeking through the floor.
"Huh..." I said slightly confused.
"Wait a fucking minute I know that face you are Silent Magician!" All the commotion seemed to get my two spirits' attention.
Venus and Joan appeared floating beside me looking down at Silent Magician.
It probably would be more intimidating, but she literally caught with my pants down, there is only so intimidating you can be in only your boxers.
Still, it seemed enough if the way Silent Magician eyes widened was any indication.
This already was going so differently than with Venus and Joan. I was clothed with them for starters.
"So, what exactly are you doing here, and can you please get out of the floor it is really awkward you have you staring at my crotch" I could hear Joan giggling like crazy and Venus tilting her head in confusion.
Silent Magician had the smallest blush on her face before she raised herself from the floor, allowing me to look at her in all her glory.
She is the version of Silent Magician without the LV in her name, nice hips.
She pointed to my deck box on the table. Man, I hope this is what I think this is.
"You want to be my spirit monster?" when she nodded, I almost impulsively shouted yes.
"Why do you want that though?" She seemed confused by that question, girl I am the one who gets to be confused.
"Powerful" She whispered while pointing at me like I was an idiot.
"What" Maybe I was an idiot.
"I already told you this Jack, it is a Duel Spirit thing, we search and flock to the most powerful duelists, you are at least spiritually, the strongest duelist in the island, you can communicate and make deals with spirits, that will always attract spirits" said Joan a little frustrated.
I need to stop thinking about Duel Spirits as the exact same as humans, it isn't an insult is simply the truth.
That doesn't mean I won't respect them, just that I must realize that some part of them will always be alien to me.
"Okay, what do you want of me then?" I asked her, it isn't like I would say no to a powerful spirit wanting to be mine.
"Win" she said and turned into light before I could answer.
Not much of a talker, is she?
Looking at the cards that are leftover, I see the Silent Magician series and support, a good basis for the deck but I will need to make the rest myself, well at least I got a project for the meantime.

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned by "Silent Magician LV4" and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. Unaffected by your opponent's Spell effects.
From there I have spent the rest of the week in a routine.
"Guardian Angel Joan, finish this, Holy Nova!" Joan finished, what must have been the fourth match of the day, like most had, in a quick and efficient style.
Checking my PDA, I confirmed that this particular Obelisk scrub has gotten me 800 DP.
The plan was exceedingly simple, I just came to the duel arena that the Obelisk dorm called their own.
And challenge every single one of them to a duel.
This, of course, got laughs at first, but after the first group of Obelisk that decide to 'put me in my place' got beaten so badly one of them cried, well.
They started taking me more seriously.
It became kind of like an event 'who could wipe the arrogant smirk, from the Ra reject'.
Spoiler alert, no one could.
I am probably the student with the most duels registered since the start of the year.
I have dueled 38 people since the start of my challenge, and with a 100% win rate and the bonuses given to the winner by performance and dorm difference.
I am getting close to the money needed to finish my Silent Magician deck.
Shame betting on matches inside the school is prohibited, makes sense though wouldn't want for your school to become a gambling ring, especially when most students are underage.
The actual number of competitors has diminished from the first day, especially after I pulled Venus out.
The reactions were hilarious, and I could see Alexis from the corner of my eye looking at me like a hawk.
I have no doubt, they told her about Venus, but her effects were Unkown to her.
With Divine Sanctuary and Venus on the field, I can diminish my opponent's monster's attack points by 1000 points.
I was broken from my musings by my next paycheck.
"You are going down Jack! You and your legendary card!"
Work is never done it seems.
(2 days before the Promotion Exams)
Everyone was tense, with the exams looming just ahead.
I was pretty chill all things considered. I mean sure I memorized cards and all that, but I was more excited than anything.
Me and Bastion have mostly been quizzing each other about rare card effects, and I will admit Bastion helped me as much as I helped him.
I will be the first to admit that I don't remember the card info on most weak cards, I simply didn't see the point of remembering how many defense points a level 3 vanilla monster had.
Of course, I still held knowledge of extremely rare cards that Bastion probably hasn't even heard the names of, much less their effects and stats.
It was during one of our daily quizzes outside the Ra dormitory (Basking in the sun was great), that Penny came to us waving her hands frantically.
"Hey Jack, Bastion, can you help me tune my deck for the exam, please, pretty please!" She said clapping her hands together in front of her face.
I chuckle at her antics, though Bastion seemed to blush a little.
How adorable, though I will have to help him with woman, I don't want him to end like in canon consumed by his own horniness
"Sure thing, just tell us what you are trying to do with your deck, and we will help you"
It was a pretty standard machine deck, all things considered, the gadgets and limiter removal were great additions.
It was looking through her deck, that I was surprised when I saw a duel spirit in her deck, Mecha Bunny huh? Interesting.
"I think you should remove Cannon Soldier from the deck, you don't have enough monsters to make it a consistent card, you need the monsters to tribute summon your Machine King and his perfect variant" Bastion said, and I wasn't 100 percent sure if I shared his opinion.
"Don't be so hasty Bastion, 500 direct damage isn't nothing to sneeze at, you need to sacrifice 8 monsters to deal 4000 damage to your opponent and win the duel, that may seem like a lot, but there exist cards that summon tokens that could be used, like Scapegoat for example, for a 2000 damage combo" It is a good card, and has been banned before, though that has more to do with the ridiculous OTKs some people pulled.
"I know that Jack I use the card on my Dark deck, I just think the card doesn't fit the deck as it is" Oh my god he has a burn deck, I had forgotten, that seems like a serious pain to play against with 4000LP.
"I mean if we mix that card and the three copies of Mecha Bunny, you could potentially get 3500 LP damage done, don't you think it is worth it?"
"I still think we should remove it; a two-card combo isn't going to work out most duels" What a stubborn guy.
"Why don't you duel to decide!" Penny exclaimed from our side; I had almost forgotten about her.
Dueling Bastion? I am 100% sure I will promote to Obelisk in two days, somehow leaving here without dueling him feels kind of empty.
"Sounds fun, Bastion are you ready to decide who is the best duelist in Ra yellow?" I have been itching to have a good duel since I arrived in this world.
I blame Joan.
"I suppose it is a good test run, for my Dark deck, it isn't like I will use this one in the exam, so I see no reason why I couldn't use it against you"
"Now that is the attitude, my man" This will be fun.
"Then I will begin the duel if you are so kind" I nodded, I am curious just how good he is.
"Okay then Duel!" Saying the last part at the same time the duel had begun.
Turn 1
"I draw, I will summon Vorse Raider, in attack mode" a great vanilla monster, one the best beat sticks in the era
Vorse Raider (Level 4/ Dark/ Beast-Warrior/ 1900 ATK/ 1200 DEF)
"I then activate the quick-play spell card Poison of the Old Man and chain another quick-play spell Chain Strike"
Of course, the first damage I have suffered to my Life points since coming here is from a burn deck.
"I will be using the second effect from my Poison of the Old Man dealing 800 direct damage, this paired with chain strike which deals 400 direct damage for each card play in succession, including itself, means you suffer from 1600 direct damage to your life points!"
The poison and the chain flew straight to my face making me flinch out of reflex.
Jack LP: 2400
"And with that and a set card, I end my turn." Honestly, this is probably Bastion's best deck, simply because of how little LP everyone has.
Turn 2
"Draw, I will summon Seraphin Blaster in attack position and equip it with the spell card Cestus of Dagla which boost my monsters attack by 500 attack points".
Seraphin Blaster (Level 4/ Fairy/ Light/ 2300 ATK/ 1200 DEF)
An angel with a rifle was the best way to describe Seraphin Blaster in the simplest of terms, and it looks as cool as it sounds.
Though now it has a golden weapon on his offhand.
"Now Seraphin Blaster attack Vorse Raider" She jumped from her position gliding through the field and into Vorse Raider before slashing him in the legs with Cestus of Dagla, making him kneel into the perfect place to get his head blown up by her rifle.
Sometimes this game gets brutal.
"Now Cestus of Dagla second effect activates, allowing me to gain life points equal to the damage done to you"
Bastion LP: 3600

"Now I will set two cards facedown and end my turn" Man this is fun, dueling a burn deck is annoying, but that only means it is working.

From the figments of light left behind by his other two monsters a floating mass of what seemed to be steel rose, its arms floating alongside but separated, and with what seemed to be an asteroid belt containing it.

Hearing the cheers from, my left, I see that me and Bastion must have gotten a crowd during our duel.

I suppose it isn't impossible, Tragoedia is dead, so I doubt David Rabb has it.
I know for a fact Bastion can't listen to Duels Spirits, so how?
"Bastion, that is quite the rare card, where did you get it?" I asked, there is no reason to panic, if anything this is good, a stronger Bastion just means better chances against the bullshit up ahead.
"I actually got it in a booster pack, I am not one to buy that many, but I felt I just had to buy that one, and my faith was rewarded with this card." He said a little embarrassed at the beginning.
There is no way in hell that Saturn was there naturally, they must have forced their way into the pack.
"Enough talking about where I got my cards, The Big SATURN, attack his Seraphin Blaster, Celestial Slamdown!"

Both legendary planets seemed to square each other up, before raising their respective weapon of choice (Scepter, Mecha-Fist).
The crowd went wild at seeing another powerful rare monster appear.

"Another 500! that practically guarantees that your monsters will win most clashes!" Bastion seemed nervous, just have to keep up the pressure.

Venus was destroyed leaving me with an open field.

"I Kycoo, attack Jack directly!" The weird looking priest with beads came to me and smacked me in the face.

Shit, now I have nothing to revive if I draw Monster Reborn, And I don't have Miraculous Descent on the field.

"I activate my trap card Royal Decree, stopping any other trap cards from triggering" I see Bastion's eyes widening, I knew he had something in there, not that it matters now.
"Then I activate the continuous spell card Valhalla Hall of the Fallen, which allows me to special summon a Fairy-type monster from my hand to the field if there aren't any monsters in it,"
I could see the expecting looks from our audience.
Well better not disappoint.
"I will use its effect to special summon, my pride and soul, my most loyal partner, Guardian Angel Joan!"

Extending her translucent wing for everyone to see, my closest partner has arrived.

"B-But that means!" Bastion exclaimed realizing that flipping his Old Vindictive Magician, may have destroyed one of my strongest monsters, but it also left him a 0 attack monster.

A cloud of smoke was raised, and after it dissipated everyone could see, Bastion's field clear and me the winner.
The cheers were thunderous, it seems the whole Ra dormitory was there to see the duel.
"Well played Jack, you were the better duelist today, but don't think this will be our last match." Bastion said offering a handshake I accepted.
"Sure thing bud, what about if after I tell you about that Big Saturn card of yours, I know the archetype it belongs to and can recommend you some plays."
Bastion nodded and was about to speak before a ginger blur appeared between us catching both of us in a side hug.
"Guys! that duel was amazing! Guess I will be keeping Cannon Soldier in my deck huh?"
She said I and Bastion looked at each other blinking before we started laughing uncontrollably at what the duel was about.
Penny didn't seem to understand, but she got pulled into the laughter as well.

The crowd had dissipated, leaving the three of us to relax the rest of the day away.
"Hey guys I want to give these cards for helping me with my deck"
We didn't even get time to tell her it wasn't necessary before she rushed into her room.
Exchanging a look with Bastion we shrugged it off, as just Penny being Penny.
She didn't take long at all to come back with two cards in her hands, before forcing one on my hand and the other in Bastions.
Looking at my card, my eyes widen immediately as I recognize the spirit in it immediately.

Looking at Bastion, I see that his card also has a spirit, wow they seem oddly fitting.

Nothing to be done now I suppose, and in all honestly, I don't know if I would be able to manage each card with the respect, they deserve they are just too many.
"I am happy for the gift Penny, I will treasure it, and if means anything I think that what you did with the abandoned cards was great"
She beamed at me and grew even happier when Bastion said something among the same lines.
This is great, I can say with almost absolute certainty that this version of Bastion is stronger than the canon one.
Still, it took me by surprise that he had a legendary planet, it helps though, I doubt that Saturn will let Bastion descend into what he was in canon.
I already have an idea about who holds which of them, but with the fate of the Mackenzie's Unkown, that leaves one 'planet' unaccounted for
Now, who could be holding The Supremacy SUN?
Still, no reason to worry about it now, there is an exam in two days after all.
And the debut of Silent Magician has to be perfect.
