Chapter 16 is here and last time we saw the debut of the Dragonzord in the Star Wars universe. I am so glad I brought it in and how many people still remember it. It's awesome and I'm also glad people like how it made its return. So thanks guys and thanks for the reviews.

So last time we saw the Dragonzord help the Power Rangers defeat another monster, while Damien made a deal with the Sith Lord. Will the Rangers be ready what Damien is planning? Will the alliance the two villains last? And do you think Obi Wan will find out what Anakin almost did to Vampira?

There is only one way for you guys to find out. I also want to thank my friend again for his help on the story. I appreciate it my friend and for those who want to know who it is. I'm afraid he wishes to remain anonymous. Sorry, but that's his choice.

Aftermath

Rhen Var

Damien is on a chair looking out from his balcony, with a glass drink in his hand. He takes a sip from the glass while he lets out a small sigh. He needed this after the day he had last night. He succeeded in gaining a new ally, but once again the Power Rangers destroyed another one of his monsters. And finding out they have a sixth Zord, which help destroy the monster.

Not just any Zord, but the famous Dragonzord. It's a powerful weapon that helped the original Power Rangers long ago against Rita Repulsa. He scoffed when he remembered how pathetic she was. Not only giving a human control over a weapon like that, but also failed to destroy the Power Rangers.

"What the hell did Zedd ever see in that loser," he said as he finishes drinking.

"Master," he turns around and sees Torus entering the room. "I finished putting Vampira in the healing chambers. She will be back on her feet before the day is over."

A smile appeared across Damien's face as he sits up from his chair. He approaches his loyal subject, who kneels down before his master.

"Good," he said as he placed his hand on Torus's left shoulder. "Tell me, did she say anything to you about what happened?"

Torus nods his head. "She said his anger grew when she injured his friend. His rage grew until he released it destroying the building and injuring Vampira. He then used what we learned is the Force to choke her. He didn't show any signs of regret for what he was doing and could have ended her."

"Until you got involved," he said finishing for his subject. "It's a good thing you did and now we know how to push Skywalker down the dark path."

"Do you want me to kill his friend then?" the bull monster asked.

He shook his head. "From what Sidious told us there are other ways to push the young man and turn him."

"Then, what do you want me to do master?" the bull monster asked.

"For now nothing," he replied as he walks towards his dark globe as images begin to appear. "We will wait until our supplies come in and then we will make our move."

Naboo

The next day, the Clone army begins cleaning up the mess that was left behind by the attack from the night before on the city of Theeds. Some of the buildings around the city suffered some damages, but they aren't too serious. A few citizens were killed and wounded during the fighting, but the casualties are minimal. The same can't be said about the casualties of the military forces.

The Republic lost three cruisers killing everyone onboard. The fourth ship suffered major damage with only one survivor, Admiral Tarkin. He suffered a broken arm, three broken ribs, and a concussion. These injuries will put him out of action for a few months.

The fifth ship was not attacked so it managed to send down some troops to assist with the attacks on the city. The fight in the city caused them half their troops, but they managed to subdue the robots that attacked the city. The clones had planned to take some of the destroyed robots back to be analyzed, but they found that every robot that was destroyed disintegrated. There was nothing left and it made it difficult to find out who was behind the attack.

Everyone assumed it was the Separatist who were behind this attack. However, the robots didn't resemble anything the Separatist own and the attacks focused mainly in the city. If the Separatist were behind the attack, why didn't they try attacking the chancellor, the queen, or any of the senators in the palace? Until they can be sure of what happened, the Republic will have to assume this was a terrorist attack.

Palace

While the city recovers from the attack, the Jedi are in the infirmary at the palace recounting what happened last night. Anakin and Obi Wan talked about their encounter with the same woman Skywalker fought on Hoth. Vampira is the name she gave to the Jedi and they explained that despite the two of them working together, they couldn't defeat her. She was fast, strong, and was nothing like they ever encountered before.

She even grew wings. Never have they encountered something like this before. During the fight, she poisoned Obi Wan and incapacitated him. This left Anakin alone to fight her.

Anakin explained that he managed to hold his own against Vampira and defeat her. He was about to finish her off, when something attacked him from behind. He explains that what he saw, was some sort of large bull creature. He wasn't sure if that is what he saw since he was a little dazed from being hit, but Skywalker is sure that is what he saw.

After the creature saved Vampira, the two disappeared. Anakin found the vial that Vampira claims would save his friend. He uses it and Obi Wan recovered from the poison. After that they came back to the palace after the clones finished taking down the last few robots.

Master Windu was unsure about this story being true, but Master Yoda could sense no lies from the two Jedi. If this is true, then this is not good.

"Hmm, troubling this is," said Master Yoda as his expression turned grim. "To hold her own against you two she did and know we do alone she is not."

Obi Wan nods in agreement. "Indeed, if Vampira's friend is as strong as she is then we might be in trouble."

"According to Tarkin he said, he saw a large monster attacking the clones in the ship," said Anakin as he reads on a holopad, what Tarkin said before passing out. "The clones opened fire on the creature, but they deflected off it. He barely escaped the attack and before losing consciousness he said the creature looks like some sort of bull."

Master Windu is now convinced that what Skywalker saw is true. "If that is the case, then they must be working for someone."

"Yes," Obi Wan agreed. "But, with who? I highly doubt Count Dooku was behind this. He is strong, but I doubt he would be able to control someone like Vampira."

Anakin wasn't so sure about that. "The Chancellor believes this was a Separatist attack. He told me he received word that the Separatist are taking credit for it."

"Are you sure about that? He could be wrong," said Master Windu.

Anakin shook his head. "That's what they wanted us to believe. If this was a Separatist attack, then we should go after Vampira and her accomplice."

"Hmmm," began Master Yoda. "Not sure about this I do. Right Master Kenobi he is. Powerful Dooku is, but too dangerous it is for him to control Vampira it is."

"Do you think whoever is controlling Vampira is working with Dooku?" Obi Wan asked.

"That's a possibility," replies Master Windu. "Perhaps it's someone Dooku doesn't want revealed to anyone."

"Until this partner makes his or her move," Anakin finished.

"Fine out more about this we must," said Master Yoda as he closed his eyes. "Stronger the Dark side has become. Find this partner we must before the darkness grows."

Meanwhile

Ahsoka is out at the gardens with Jake talking about the long night they had. Jake told Ahsoka that Barriss kept them safe during the attacks. Their dad took them to a safe place near the palace. After the fighting was over they were escorted back to the palace and stayed there until it was okay to come out.

She is happy that her friends are okay and nothing happened to them. She wished though she wasn't locked up in a room all night. She didn't mind spending some time with Alexis and Padme. The stories they talked about was fun to hear, but she wished she was out in the fight helping.

"I wish I was there to help my master and Obi Wan," said Ahsoka recalling seeing her two friends injured from their fight. "If I was there I would have helped them."

"Maybe," said Jake understanding his friend's frustration. "Still, this Vampira woman is was able to hold her own against two strong Jedi like your friends."

"So?" Ahsoka asked.

"I don't doubt your skills Ahsoka, but if this woman could defeat Obi Wan and almost defeat your master," he didn't finish since he knew she could guess where he was going with this.

Ahsoka lets out a small sigh and gets what he is saying. "I still wish I could have helped them."

"You did," said Jake placing his hand on her shoulder. "You kept my mother and Padme safe. From what I heard you guys bonded well."

She nods her head with a smile on her face. "Yeah, they told me a lot of stories. They even told me how you got beaten up for defending your sister from some bullies."

Jake remembers that and how it went down. "They were picking on her, made fun of her, and tried to hurt her. I tried helping out, but I got hurt. The others guys though ended up even worst than me."

"So I heard," said Ahsoka recalling how the bullies ended up going to the hospital. "Weren't you scared though? I mean you were 8 years old and you were up against teenagers who were six years older than you."

"I would have been," said Jake. "But, when I saw them hurting my sister all my fears went away. My only thought was to protect her and make sure she doesn't get hurt."

"Wow," said Ahsoka impressed with Jake's determination. "You're a good big brother."

"Thanks," said Jake as he looks up into the sky. "Still, you should be careful on who you pick a fight with. If you're not, then the next fight could be your last."

Ahsoka knew Jake had a good point. There were many fights where Ahsoka came close to being killed. The first time was against Assajj Ventress, the second was Cad Bane, and the third was General Grievous. There have been others, but those were the ones she encountered when she started as a Padawan.

She forgot how different she was back then. She was impulsive, reckless, and almost got herself killed countless time. She then recalls how she got her fighter squad destroyed during Ryloth for not obeying orders. The same thing happened on Felucia where she almost got herself and her squad killed just to try winning a battle.

"Ahsoka, hello?" she snapped out of her thoughts when she saw Jake waving his hand in front of her. "You okay? You spaced out for like five minutes."

"Oh, sorry about that," she apologized who didn't realize she was deep in her thoughts.

"Is there something on your mind?" he asked curious on what she was thinking.

She thought it would be okay for her to tell him. He has been so nice to her and she enjoys talking to him.

"I was on Felucia years ago with my master and Obi Wan. I was leading my own forces, while they were fighting somewhere else. My forces were pushing the droid army back and it looked like we were going to win. But then, Obi Wan contacted me and said we were pulling out."

"Why?" he asked as he crossed his legs and focused on my story.

"He said they were being overrun and we needed to pull out," she explained.

"And did you?" he asked.

She shook her head. "I let my overconfidence cloud my judgment and I disobeyed Master Kenobi. My master came to pick me up and I refused to leave. He told me my forces were going to be overrun and that we needed to go. I finally listened and saw that they were right."

"Whoa," he said surprised by his friend's story. "So, you got in trouble?"

She nods her head. "I was placed on guard duty in the library. That didn't last though since Cad Bane attacked the temple and stole a holocron."

"Wait, Bane?" he remembers where he heard that name before. "Isn't that the guy who tried to kill us two days ago?"

She nods her head and remembers what her master told her. How Bane was on another building across from Alexis's apartment. How he had a weapon with him and he was probably trying to kill Alexis, her family, and herself. The only reason he didn't succeed was because someone saved them.

"Well, when we fought him I made the dumb mistake of chasing him alone," she remembers what happened next. "I got captured and was used as leverage to get to my master. It worked and it was my fault it happened."

"I'm sorry to hear that Ahsoka," he said as he tries to cheer her up. "We all make mistakes. No one is perfect and once we learn from those mistakes we can make sure they don't happen again."

She smiles happily at her friend and nods. "I know, I have learned from all my past mistakes and I don't intend for it to happen again."

"That's the spirit," he said happy that he cheered his friend up.

"Hey guys!" the two teenagers look over and see Rachel walking towards them. "Breakfast is ready. Come and get it before it's all gone."

Jake gets up and extends his hand towards Ahsoka. "Ready to go?"

Ahsoka took the hand and gets up. "Yeah, let's go."

Meanwhile

In another part of the palace, Alexis is with Nathan while talking to Zane through their communicator. They went over what happened last night and what Damien is up to.

"This was a distraction," said Nathan guessing what the attack was about last night.

"Distract us from what exactly?" Alexis asked wondering why Damien would need to distract them from.

"I don't know," said Nathan who was unsure himself. "Zane, I don't suppose you know?"

"No, I'm afraid not," Zane replied. "I do agree that this was a distraction and whatever he's up to I sense is not good."

"Do you think he'll try working for the Separatist?" Alexis.

"Maybe," Nathan replied knowing that is a possibility. "If he does then we'll have to fight the Separatist as well."

"We can't," said Zane. "The Power Rangers are not soldiers to be fought in a war. They are meant to help protect the people and keep them safe."

"Still," began Alexis. "It would make ending the war easier if the kids used their powers to kick Dooku's ass."

Nathan nods in agreement. "But then, we would be in the same position the Jedi are in."

Alexis knew that was true. "I guess you'll have to make sure Damien is taken care of before he does anything bad if he joins Dooku."

"I agree," said Zane. "But, if he is working with Dooku already we'll need to be careful. If people knew about the Rangers it might cause problems."

"I know," said Nathan who didn't want to put the kids through any problems. "Don't worry, I'll make sure they stay safe and we take down Damien."

Coruscant

At the Jedi temple, Master Windu speaks to Master Aayla Secura and Plo Koon in hologram form. He talks to them about what happened on Naboo and what they encountered.

They were surprised at what happened and how one creature was able to destroy three Republic ships without suffering any damage. According to Tarkin's testimony he told them that the blasters bounced off the monster like it was nothing. They remember the Zillo Beast's armor was strong enough to bounce off blaster shots and lightsabers. But, to hear another can do that is amazing.

"And what if this Vampira?" asked Master Plo Koon. "Have we found out anything about her?"

Master Windu shook his head. "There is no record of her or whatever she is. She's a ghost."

"A ghost that kills," said Master Secura who is growing concern about this. "We'll need to remain cautious now, especially if this Vampira is working for Dooku."

Master Plo Koon agrees. "If she was able to hold her own against Skywalker and Kenobi, then we may have a problem."

"I've already informed the chancellor about this," said Master Windu. "Security will be increase and the clones will be trained to so they be ready if they encounter her or her big friend."

"Do you think they'll attack the temple?" Master Secura asked.

"I'm not sure," said Master Plo Koon. "We'll need to increase as well in order to make sure they don't try breaking in."

"If that will be enough to stop them," said Master Windu.

Naboo

Barriss finished eating breakfast and decides to go for a nice walk outside the palace. Richard joins her after Rachel took off to hang out with Lux, Jake, and Ahsoka. Barriss didn't join her friends since she needed some time to think. She didn't mind Rick joining her since she enjoyed the discussions they have with each other.

"So, you don't think Damien knew about being the Power Rangers?" Barriss asked.

Rick shook his head. "If he did then why didn't he send his robots to attack us? Instead, he had them attack the clones and the people."

"I see," said Barriss who sees Rick's point. "Well, I highly doubt he did as an act of war against the Republic. After all I thought he wanted to remain hidden until his army grew."

"Do you think he's working with Dooku?" Rick asked as the two stop by a pond near a large tree.

"Probably," it wouldn't surprise Barriss if Damien did work with Dooku. "If that's true then this might be a problem. I can't imagine what would happen if Damien helps Count Dooku in this war."

Rick can imagine it and it's not a pretty sight. "If that does happen then we'll be there to stop them."

"I hope so," said Barriss who lets out a small sigh. "Hopefully by the time this war is over the Jedi Order will go back to what it was meant to do."

"I take it you're not happy with how the Order is right now?" Rick asked who can see his friend is upset.

Barriss nods her head. "I was taught when I was little about how to be a Jedi, what a Jedi should do, and what our purpose was. Seeing how the Order has changed over the years and during this war."

"It changed your view?" Rick replied guessing that's where Barriss was going with this.

"Yes," replies Barriss as she continues. "I fear that the Order has become corrupted, we've lost our ways, and if nothing is done soon the Order will the trust of everyone."

Rick nods in agreement and knew that the Jedi Order is not in good with the people. Many of them have lost faith in the Order and think the Jedi have become corrupted. They believe the Jedi are now pawns of the Republic and don't care about the people. If they did then they should stop being involved in the war.

"Is that why you decided to become a Ranger?" Rick asked.

Barriss wasn't sure herself why she became a Ranger. "I originally wasn't going to, until after our fight on Tatooine. I realized I could do a lot of good as a Ranger and would give me time away from the war."

"That's good," said Rick who placed his hand over her shoulder. "And who knows maybe by the time this war is over you guys will go back to do what you guys do best."

A small smile appears on Barriss's face and nods her head. "Thank you Rick and thanks for the talk."

"Anytime," said Rick as he picks up a flower and gives it to her. "Here."

Barriss accepts the flower and smells it. "Rachel is right, you are quite the gentleman."

"Really?" Rick asked while smiling. "What else did she say?"

"That you like hitting on women and that I need to be careful because you'll try asking me out," said Barriss as she begins walking away. "By the way, I may not agree with how the Jedi Order is going. That doesn't mean I'm going to break the rules and go out with you."

Rick lets out a disappointed sigh. "Ah well, you can't hurt a guy for trying."

Rhen Var (three days later)

A solar ship appears out of hyperspace and heads towards the planet of Rhen Var. The ship lands alongside a large factory being constructed. The ships landing platform comes down and several robots walk towards the ship. Out of the ship comes Count Dooku who is joined by two Magnaguards.

"How goes the progress?" Dooku asked towards one of the robots.

"It went slow two days ago thanks to your droids," replies one of the robots in a deep mechanical tone. "But, once enough of us were made we continued the construction without the droids."

"That is good," said Dooku as he approaches a nearby cloaked figure who is overseeing the construction. "I take it everything is going as promised?"

The second figure removes his hood and reveals to be Damien. "Yes, more of my robots have been made and it won't be long before we have a large army."

"Good," said Dooku as he watches the robots work. "You're machines are impressive and will serve us well in this war."

"They serve me," said Damien in a stern tone. "They will not obey anyone but me or my subjects. Do not forget that Dooku."

Dooku quickly apologizes. "Of course, I'm sorry about that."

"Never apologize," said Damien as he cracks his neck. "It's a sign of weakness." He begins walks away, while Dooku follows him. "So, why have you come here Dooku? Did your master need something?"

"Yes," said Dooku as he takes out a holopad and hands it to Damien. "Three of our own is in Republic custody. My master can't free them, but I take it you have someone who might be able to get the job done?"

Damien sees the images and an evil smile appears across his face. "I know just the one to get the job done."

Poor Rick, he struck out. Maybe next time he'll get lucky. Damien is going to wait to make his next move. What could he be up to? What is Count Dooku up to? Who is Damien going to send? And will the Rangers get involved? Find out next time to see what happens next.
