As of writing this, there have been over 70 votes on the poll. And over 70% of the votes are in favour of Gil summoning a servant. I'll post a new poll next chapter but so far the only real servant I've considered is Scathach so feel free to leave a review with suggestions and next chapter I'll put up a new poll.

After the win against the destroyer, everyone immediately went back to the guild for celebrations. I took part in the festivities since no one from the guild would actually let me leave without throwing some kind of party. 'It's not that I hate parties…' I thought to myself 'I'd just rather not be surrounded by drunken fools'.
I could've easily just teleported out of the guild after I recovered some magic, which I did fairly quickly, but I didn't want to seem too much like an asshole.Considering the fact that the guild members were so honest and sincere in their praise, it made me want to stay for at least a little while. The alcohol they consumed definitely contributed to the more… emotional ones.
Couldn't really say anything outstanding happened during the party itself. Everyone got drunk, Megumin even snuck a few sips of something and became 'Super Chuni' as I dubbed it. Kazuma and Aqua were partying with other guild members, Darkness was doing her best to get 'harassed' and Aela was busy serving drinks to people so I only exchanged a few words with her. Most of them being flirtatious, the serving outfit 'served' her very well. But eventually everyone either passed out or went home so I was able to leave the party after the guild closed.
The next few days were spent relaxing. I either stayed home or took the time to walk around Axel and just keep it chill for a few days. 'It's nice not facing so many large threats or having to be on the road for a little bit'.
But as the saying goes 'all good things must come to an end'.
.
.
.
After about a solid week of just relaxing, I decided now was the time to get back to the grind. It was around noon and I wanted to see if there were any good quests up at the guild. After dusting off my leather jacket, I pushed open the doors to the guild.
'Huh… usually I get a welcome when I enter the guild' I thought to myself since it was oddly quiet in the guild, even though the guild was about as full as it usually was. I surveyed the hall and saw the source of the 'quietness'.
Three individuals were in front of Luna who was had a worried look on her face as she was dealing with them. One of the individuals was a woman who was close to my age, she had long black hair with hair pins, purple eyes and had quite the figure. She wore triangular glasses and was wearing an outfit that consisted of a blue skirt suit and beret with gold linings, a white shirt, red tie, pantyhose and black shoes.
On either side of her were two knights which I recognized as knights from the capitol of Belzerg 'I think I can guess why they're here'.
Luna then noticed I was at the entrance and sent a slight worried glance at me. All three of the people she was talking to turned to face me. The lady in the suit started to walk towards me followed by the two knights.
She stopped a few feet in front of me "Are you the one they call Gilgamesh?" she said in an even tone.
"Depends who's asking" I replied evenly as I looked at her and the guards.
"My name is Sena" the now named Sena introduced herself "I am a prosecutor for the kingdom of Belzerg" she then held up a clipboard with a form on it. "According to this warrant. You are being accused of treason against the kingdom". If there was any noise within the guild, it was now dead silent as we continued to stare at each other.
"On what grounds are these claims made?" I took the declaration in stride.
"Do you recall teleporting a chunk of coronatite? It destroyed the mansion of a lord"
"Did anyone die?" I crossed my arms.
"No" she replied before taking a breath "But do you also recall teleporting a thing known as 'the mobile fortress?' Because that blew up over an ancient burial ground that covered an equally ancient dungeon"
"Did anyone die?" I repeated my earlier question.
"Luckily no. But with the dungeon uncovered, it has attracted a lot of attention. Most of it being negative attention and now a cult of sorts is inhabiting the ruins".
"I can easily go and rectify that"
"I cannot let you do that" she shook her head and lowered the form "There's a chance that this was an act of terrorism. Or you have aligned yourself with the Devil King".
'Really!? I literally teleported away two bombs that were going to wipe out thousands of people and that's considered terrorism?' I closed my eyes and took a breath to gather my thoughts. "You do realise that if I didn't do what I did, this whole entire city would've been a crater and thousands would've died correct? And that I recently assisted in defending the capitol against an army of a few thousand demons?"
"Yea! He's right!" a random adventurer spoke out.
"He's saved this city more times than I can count! And I can count passed three!" a burly adventurer butted in as well.
"This is an abuse of power!"
"YEAH!" all of the adventurers in the guild tried to argue my case.
Sena only pushed up her glasses in response "Unless you wish to be charged with sedition for going against this. Then I suggest you all step back" she threatened.
"Uhh… What's that mean?" a random adventurer called out.
"It means that you'll be charged for rebelling against the current authority of this country" Sena replied back.
"Oh that's bad…" the same adventurer slid back into the crowd.
I huffed in response "Fine then. Do what you must" the crowed looked at me in shock. 'What? Is it weird that I'm following the law to not make this worse?'
"I'm surprised you didn't fight this more" Sena seemed somewhat surprised.
With a slight shrug I responded "Why make it worse when I can just prove my innocence"
Sena gave a light chuckle "Your smart for an adventurer" she then looked to her two guards "Now arrest him!"
Both of the guards approached me with the one on the right holding a set of cuffs. Before he could even place the cuffs on me I grabbed his wrist with an iron grip "I agreed to go with you. But not in chains". The guard shivered slightly as he looked into my eyes.
"Are you resisting arrest?" Sena glared at me.
I let the guard's wrist go leaving a visible dent in the shape of my hand on his gauntlet "I already agreed to go with you and I said that I would accept the responsibility of what would happen if the coronatite was teleported into a bad spot. I will accompany you to wherever I need to be. But I will NOT be going in chains" my tone carried an air of finality as I stuffed my hands in my pockets.
"Hmph! Fine" Sena huffed before leading the way out of the guild. I followed behind her with the two guards on either side of me. By the time we hit the main street leading out from the guild, I saw a familiar quartet making their way to the guild.
They were running towards the guild when they saw me "Yo!" Kazuma called out "We heard knights from the capitol were here"
"Yes I'm well acquainted with them" I tilted my head towards Sena.
"Are they here to deliver rewards!?" Aqua said aloud.
"No we are not" Sena spoke "We are here to apprehend a potential terrorist".
"Aaaaand you need his help?" Megumin tilted her head.
I was the one to respond by shaking my head "I'm the 'potential terrorist'" I said with air quotes.
"WHAT!?" all four of them yelled out.
"But why!?" Darkness called out.
"Because the coronatite blew up a lord's mansion, while the destroyer blew up and uncovered an ancient dungeon. No one died but there's nothing more to speak of right now and I'll handle this soon enough" I said before starting to walk away again.
"B-but wait!" Kazuma called out causing us to stop again "This guy almost single handily organized a raiding party against an ancient freaking spider fortress! How the hell is this even fair!?"
"He's right!" Darkness interjected "Almost every single person in this town would've died otherwise!"
Sena sighed as a tick mark appeared on her forehead "Once again…" she said with irritation "Unless you wish to be arrested for interrupting our business, it would be wise to drop this now".
All four of them seemed hesitant so I tried to put them at ease "They know about my past deeds already. In a few days' time I'll have this handled, I'm only suspected of treason as of right now. So continue on and you'll see me soon".
"Alright then" Darkness nodded "I trust your judgment. But if I may ask one last thing?" she glanced at Sena who sighed before gesturing her to continue. "Which lord's mansion was destroyed?"
"Lord Alderp"
Darkness' face scrunched up for a second before she calmed herself "I see…"
"Now enough wasting time" Sena said after a brief silence "We are to take you to a holding cell for the time being" she directed at me.
I only nodded before following 'I can already tell this is going to be a royal pain in the ass'.
.
.
.
After the brief interaction with Kazuma and the others, I was brought to Axel's holding cells. Other inmates jeered towards me or threw out comments like "Oho! We got a pretty boy don't we?" and other such comments.
I kept my head straight as to not give these men the satisfaction of responding. Within minutes I was led down a stone hallway and brought to a cell. It was almost completely barren, the only things in it were a bucket for waste, a plank overtop of it, a cot on the floor as well as a bared window near the top of the cell.
"This cell has been lined with anti-teleportation magic and other anti-magic spells so don't try escaping" Sena said to me before a guard opened the cell door. "We will begin your questioning two days from now".
I nodded before walking into the cell. I didn't say anything else to acknowledge her so she left along with her two guards. 'First time in jail I guess' I thought while observing my surroundings. Still wasn't much to observe in this musty stone prison cell.
'Guess I should get comfortable' I then snapped my fingers and had a variety of gates open inside the cell. One of them sent out a nice red cushioned couch, another procured a small table beside it and a coffee table in front of the couch. 'Good thing my gate isn't affected by anti-magic spells and the like' a smirk appeared on my face before I sat down on the couch and put my feet up on the table.
Just as my feet hit the table, a glass filled with wine came out from a small gate and into my hands. I took a sip of it and began to think about my situation. 'I think I've heard of the name Alderp before. I'm pretty sure he's the one that governs this city so trying to get out of this will prove to be difficult'.
I put the glass on the little side table before looking up at the ceiling 'I've only heard rumours about him with none of them being good. I guess I'll have to take things as they come, not much I can really do other than plan out my answers for any questions'.
But that was easier said than done, while they don't have a lie detector like back on earth exactly. They do have a magic bell that they use which I had never really seen before. It would be difficult to formulate a plan 'I can't lie my way out of this, especially if they ask if I've had any involvement with a demon king general. Wiz is a demon general, so not if but when they ask that question, it'll all go downhill from there. Honestly the best thing I can do is pick and choose my answers for other questions carefully'.
With a heavy sigh I rubbed my temples 'But this prospect of a burial ground being disturbed with a cult taking over it is certainly something to keep note of for sure'. With those final thoughts, I planned out how I would answer any questions.
.
.
.
2 days later
Time actually passed by pretty quick for me. Sure I was annoyed to be waiting for so long, but being able to make my cell look like a three to four star flat was pretty nice. Whenever guards came by the cell, they would either freak out because I had other things in the cell or call a superior. Sena even dropped by and tried to confiscate my couch and the like. But considering I could just snap my fingers and have them disappear, only to re appear, they let it go eventually.
'Not like they can restrict my gate' I thought to myself during those moments with a smile.
But eventually I was lead out of my cell by a guard who brought me to the interrogation room. They didn't even bother putting cuffs on me, considering the fact that I still had access to my gate even with magic cuffs that nullified magic.
The interrogation room itself wasn't anything to write home about. It was a small stone room that had a table in the middle with two chairs on opposite sides and a table in the corner for something akin to a court reporter. The window next to the table was letting in a nice amount of light though.
Sena was already there waiting for me "Good. Now we can begin" she spoke while pushing up her glasses.
The guard shut the door behind me and I went to take my seat opposite of Sena. But before I sat down, I procured a plush cushion to place on the chair which seemed to annoy Sena.
Sena cleared her throat before pulling out something from one of her pockets "Do you know what this is?" she asked while placing down a bell. It was on a small platform that was half white and half black/purple. The dark side had a devil wing, while the white side had an angel wing.
"A bell that detects lies" I said with little interest while inspecting my nails with an arm over the back of the chair.
Sena frowned at my lack of interest in the interrogation "Since you know then. I'll start asking the questions" she crossed her arms before looking right at me. "Where are you from? And what did you do before becoming an adventurer?"
'Opening up with that are we?' I gave her my attention "I come from Japan and I used to work at a store" the bell did not ring.
"Interesting…" she said while putting her elbows on the table and leaned into her hands "I've never heard of this… Japan. Where is it located?"
"It's an island country far away from here" the bell did not ring.
"Odd that I've never heard of it" she leaned back a bit again and crossed her arms "Next question. Why did you become an adventurer?"
'I have to answer this carefully' I thought while remaining relaxed "I was given a choice to come to this place and I took it. My main goal is to defeat the devil king but I initially joined to gain experience in order to accomplish this".
"I see… Do you hate lord Alderp? You're not in any sort of debt or are in trouble with any officials. So why did you send the coronatite to his manor?"
"I do not have any particularly noteworthy feelings for him. The only teleportation markers I have are in populated areas so I did a random teleport to lower my chances of killing anyone".
"Is this the same for the fortress itself?"
"It is" I confirmed.
"Alright then, next question-"
"Are you going to keep asking me these useless questions?" I interrupted her "I used the teleport spell knowing that this could come back to me in a negative way. It was either that or have thousands of people die because the call wasn't made soon enough. Beating around the bush like this is going to keep us here for hours".
Sena sighed after looking at the bell that did not ring "I suppose you are correct. It seems that I may have been wrong about my initial thoughts on you".
"And what were those?"
"I had first heard about you around the time you took down Verdia, one of the demon generals. Initially I thought we had a rising hero in the ranks of the adventurers. My opinion further improved after you aided the capitols effort to keep an army of demons at bay. But after the fortress I thought it was a ruse. Until now that is".
"Do you harbour any doubts?"
"I would be lying if I said I didn't. There are still a few questions I must ask you".
"Ask them then"
"I'll get right to it then" she took a breath before putting a stern face on "Have you, or have you not, been in contact or are in contact with any of the demon king's generals. Excluding Verdia who you assisted in killing".
'Aaaaand this is the question I really didn't want to answer' I looked at Sena for a moment before closing my eyes and answering. "I have spoken to a demon general other than Verdia" I said causing her eyes to widen slightly 'No use in fully lying'.
"You've been in contact with a general!? What was this about?"
"It was a chance encounter and I certainly almost killed them when I learned the truth"
"And why didn't you?" she was glaring daggers.
"They were only employed by the devil king to maintain the barrier around his castle. They agreed to be killed but asked that I give them some time to live their life before I executed them".
The bell did not ring.
"And you believed them!?"
"I did and still do. This bell isn't the only thing that can seek out lies" I said the last part while my eyes glowed slightly.
The bell did not ring.
Sena was shocked but managed to control herself "Regardless of that. Being in cohorts with a demon general is treated as treason of the highest order. You can be sentenced to death for that!"
"I am not in cohorts with a general in the likes that you are thinking" I replied calmly "I was even given a useful ability which I can use against the demon king in the future".
Sena whipped her head to the bell but it did not ring "Either way, you will have to go to trial for this. Even if you are telling the truth".
I could only sigh "I'm not a terrorist, nor am I in cohorts with a demon general or the demon king themselves to attack the kingdom in any way".
The bell did not ring.
Sena eyed the bell once again before almost completely deflating "I guess you are telling the truth. But the fact of the matter is you did destroy a lord's manor on top of a burial ground. You will still have to go to trial for that. Regardless if you are a terrorist or not".
"As much as it pains me to say it. You are correct. Where and when would this trial take place?"
"Lord Alderp himself is likely within the vicinity of Axel already so it would likely be in a few hours from now just outside of Axel at the trial grounds".
"That soon huh?"
"It is indeed quick. I'll give you time to prepare yourself" she stood up "A guard will escort you to the trial grounds where you'll have time to think before it begins".
.
.
.
Within just a few hours, I was already being presented in front of a court. It wasn't exactly a court room in the sense that we were inside of a building. But it was within a small area that was surrounded by rocky hills. Almost as if it was carved into or was a part of an older structure. There were wooden fences behind me with all kinds of adventurers and citizens waiting to see what would happen.
In contrast to the snow that blanketed the ground, the area I was in had tiles all throughout and only had some snow gathered along the edges of the area. I was standing on a small wooden platform that had a curved fence/gate in the formation of a half circle. In front of me was a stone podium holding the lie detection bell, with Sena not too far from it. Behind her were steps leading up to an older looking man in robes with a pair of small glasses, clearly the judge. To my left was a fat individual wearing purple and red 'royal' garments. He had long blond hair and a thick moustache. This was Lord Alderp. And above the judge was supposed to be a 'menacing' lynch with guards wielding scythes.
'Just has me positively quivering in my boots' I thought sarcastically.
My thoughts were interrupted as the judge banged his gavel against a round wooden block on his desk. "The trial of the adventurer Gilgamesh will now come to order! Ms. Prosecutor, you may begin"
Sena stepped forward a bit and adjusted her glasses "While Gilgamesh has been cleared of being a terrorist by the lie detection bell. Endangering a lord is still a threat to this land and its people. The accused is hereby charged with destruction of property and as a potential danger to the people".
All of the people in the crowd began to murmur at the charges "I thought he was gonna be charged with terrorism" I could faintly hear Aqua at the front of the crowd with Kazuma's party.
"He must've convinced the prosecutor he wasn't" Darkness replied.
"Whew" Kazuma wiped his forehead "This guy's probably the best chance at defeating the devil king right now. Don't need him being executed".
'Hah! They couldn't execute me even if they tried' I thought to myself 'They can't bind me and even if they do, I still have my gate which no one here could counter as far as I know'.
"Will the first witness please come to the stand" Sena called out as I headed right towards a wooden table with seats so that the first witness could speak at the podium.
"Well I guess that's me" Kazuma sighed from his spot as he walked up, but not before giving me a thumb up.
'Kazuma?' I thought 'I guess it makes sense since him and his party are the ones I talk to the most. Probably got subpoenaed mostly because he was there during the teleporting'.
"Your name is Kazuma Satou correct?" Sena approached him with a question.
"Yea that's me" he responded.
"Is it true you were present during the teleportation of the coronatite?"
"Yea I was"
"Was there any signs that you noticed during the event that could incriminate the defendant?"
"Not really no" Kazuma shook his head "He was calm about the whole thing and he trusted his luck to handle it".
"So you're saying that he teleported a dangerous item that could've potentially went to a populated area purely because of his 'luck'"
"Well we literally couldn't have done anything else other than let it explode. Maybe blow it up ourselves but that would've been worse".
"Hmm" Sena hummed "No further questions! Next witness!"
With that Kazuma gave me another thumb up before going back.
'Not exactly the way I would've answered but good enough I suppose'
The next witness was another familiar face. Approaching the podium was none other than Aela, the person that I had brought over after taking down the trafficking ring. She gave me a wave and a wink before she faced Sena and patted down her guild uniform.
"Your name is Aela correct?"
"It is yes" she answered evenly.
"And how do you know the defendant?"
"We met while he was on a quest to stop a marriage or something"
Sena looked over to me "I heard about this but only a brief report".
I gave a brief explanation "A man by the name Hajime Toketsu requested that I help with a cousin of theirs that had an unhealthy obsession with his daughter. Long story short, he was in the drug trade as well as trafficking so I took him down".
"I heard it was quite the spectacle in the end" Sena looked back to Aela "Were you present during?"
"No I wasn't" she shook her head "We met up after he dealt with it and came back here to Axel".
"You mentioned that you met the defendant beforehand correct?" Sena asked and received a nod "And where was it that you two met?"
"At my place of work when I was there"
"And where was that?"
Aela frowned a bit "A brothel and bar"
Murmurs went through the crowd for a moment before Sena continued "I'm assuming this wasn't a legal bar?"
"No it wasn't" Aela kept her frown.
"And what was he doing in an illegal brothel?"
"He wanted information on the guy he was trying to 'take down' and asked me for the information".
"And you gave it willingly?"
"After we 'spoke' quite intensively in one of the private rooms. I told him what he needed to know".
Sena understood the implication and it seemed that most of the crowd did as well. Sena cleared her throat before continuing "I see. And has the defendant shown any delinquent or destructive habits during the time you've known him?"
"Unless you're talking about the bedroom" Aela smirked at the prosecutors face "I haven't heard of anything insanely crazy"
"So you have heard of something?"
"Only that he scared the living shit out of the guy he was after"
"No further questions" Sena ended the conversation and Aela was sent back to the crowd.
"Ms. Prosecutor" the judge got the attention of everyone "All I'm hearing is that the defendant made a decision that turned out more or less for the better and so far two of your witnesses have nothing to say that could incriminate him on the charges you are implying. Is there a point to this?"
"Sorry your honour" she bowed.
"Not to mention you've already concluded, with evidence, that the defendant isn't a terrorist".
"Now wait just a second!" Alderp called out with an annoyed grunt from his spot. "This dumb adventurer blew up my freaking home! I've frankly heard enough. Evidence or not he destroyed my property. And I demand compensation or his neck around a noose!"
"I'm sorry milord" the judge bowed his head but he is not charged with sedition and therefore shall not be executed".
Alderp sneered "Are you trying to make me look like a fool?" he glared at the judge and he flinched but before he could say anything I decided to interject.
"Then why not compensation" I spoke up "You demanded either compensation or my head. What would you need to be compensated?"
"What I want is your neck on that noose you brat" Alderp snarled out.
"I'd watch your tongue" I snapped a little.
"What'd you say!?"
"I said to watch your tongue" I gave him a sharp glare which he flinched at slightly "Other than my head, you wish for compensation". I looked to the judge "What if I paid for the damages towards his property?"
The judge cleared his throat "Considering your innocence in everything but property damage" he adjusted his glasses. "If you were to pay for the damages towards Lord Alderp's manor and agreed to be under surveillance for a short period to prove you aren't a danger to society. Your charges would be dropped and would be free to go".
"HA!" Alderp laughed mockingly "I doubt a mere adventurer could muster up even half the amount of money required to rebuild one of my estates".
I completely ignored Alderp in favour of looking at the judge, which clearly pissed off Alderp "I can agree to those terms".
"Lord Alderp" the judge looked to him "What was the initial building cost of your manor"
"Grrr…" Alderp growled before responding "It was over twenty million Eris to build. But that doesn't cover the interior and all my priceless furniture, the surrounding land! Not to mention my poor staff's belongings" he said the last part with clearly fake sympathy.
"Then would thirty million suffice?" I casually said causing the crowd to gasp and even wonder if I could afford that.
"Do you even have ten million Eris?" Alderp replied mockingly.
"I must ask the same" the judge looked to me "Do you have the sufficient funds to provide to Lord Alderp?"
I nodded which surprised most of the people present "I've completed dozens upon dozens of high ranked quests, got a partial reward from Verdia's defeat and I own a fairly decent share in the Tanaka island resort. I can put a down payment of ten million Eris right now and slowly give the rest over time to ensure the money won't be used for anything else. I can even have the money from my shares be forwarded over as a form of weekly payment and can provide any final amounts".
The judge nodded "Is this offer to your liking milord?"
"Why you little…"
"Is the offer sufficient milord" I put emphasis on the milord with a casual smirk.
"Grrr… Fine".
"Then it is settled" the judge looked to all "The defendant will supply Lord Alderp with the required funds to rebuild his property and has agreed to be under surveillance for a few days with Sena the prosecutor". He then raised his gavel and brought it down with a BAM "This court is now adjourned!"

Sorry for the short chapter after a LONG break. Writers block, having to put my dog of 15 years down and getting a new puppy have occupied my time for the past little bit. Not to mention the fact I'm trying to get back into school, college specifically. There wasn't much action, fluff or generally interesting things in this chapter but I didn't want to just skip over it and jump right into the action. But next chapter I'm planning on introducing Yunyun and having the group go on a quest to this 'ancient dungeon' that was mentioned. I'll keep the servant summoning poll up until I release the next chapter so please leave suggestions and if the majority still wants a servant summoned then I'll add them in. Also I'm not planning on adding Enkidu for reasons. Thank you for reading and I hope you liked it!
