Chapter 23 chapter has arrived and things are going to slow down in this chapter. You'll know what I mean as you read on. I want to thank my friend for his help on this and to all you guys for the support you have given for the story. I know I always say this, but it's true.

Rest & Relaxation part I

Coruscant

It has been two days since the battle on Geonosis and the Jedi found out more on who attacked the Republic ships. The Jedi were surprised by what Padawan Ahsoka Tano told them and what they are now up against besides Vampira.

She tells them that the monster that attacked the ships is called, Torus. A large bull-like monster that serves someone who works for the Separatist. She survived her encounter with the monster with the help of a mysterious hero called, the Green Ranger. She explains how he saved her life, how he fought the monster, and vanished after saving her before the Separatist base blew up.

The Jedi became concerned about this whole situation. First the encounter with Vampira, now this new monster who took down three Republic ships and a squad of Clones. Not to mention the robots that proved to be more dangerous than any Battle Droids and the Green Ranger who seems to know what is going on.

They have been trying to use the Force to find out what is going on, but with the Dark Side growing stronger their visions have become clouded. Ahsoka defends the Green Ranger, who she feels is not a threat. She believes he is on their side and can help them. However, the Council feels until they know more about this mysterious hero they assume he is involved in some way.

The Chancellor agrees with the Council and has ordered the Clone army to bring this Green Ranger in for questioning. Ahsoka expected her master to support her argument, but he reveals he is in agreement with the Chancellor and the Council's agreement upsetting the young Padawan.

Once the meeting was over, she walks out of the room and heads outside for some fresh air. She can't believe the Council didn't believe her. She doesn't know who this Green Ranger is, but she knows he is not a threat. He saved her life, doesn't that prove which side he is on?

The only good thing is she didn't mention to the Council about the Power Rangers or their Megazord. She felt if that if they knew about that information they will assume the Power Rangers are a threat.

She just hopes she can meet the Power Rangers and show the Council they aren't bad. Just like the Green Ranger, who next time she sees him she'll have to thank him for saving her.

"Ahsoka," turning around she sees her master approaching her. "Are you okay? You left the room in hurry."

"Sorry master," she apologized while hiding what is bothering her. "I was just heading over to see Jake. Is that okay?"

Anakin lets out a small sigh when Ahsoka mentioned wanting to hang out with the boy. He may have met the boy and can tell he is a good kid, but he doesn't like that his Padawan is spending too much time with him. It feels like she is forming an attachment towards him. He knows she can't form any feelings for the boy.

Not because he doesn't like or trust him. It's because he knows how difficult it is to hide those feelings around the other Jedi. If she does form feelings for Jake and they get together it could lead to trouble. He doesn't want her to get hurt if anything happens to the boy or if he breaks her heart.

"I think you should stay and meditate Ahsoka," he said wanting to come up with an excuse to keep her in the temple. "You've had a long day and I think meditating will help you."

"Master, don't worry I'll be fine and Barriss is coming with me," she replied noticing her master looks confused by what she meant. "She has been hanging out with us for a while now. So will Lux, Rachel, and Rick. We all hang out together."

"Oh, well then I guess that's okay," he said a little relief and is not worried about his Padawan being alone with the boy. "Just don't stay out too long, okay?"

She nods her head. "I'll be fine, don't worry."

She takes off while Anakin looks on still worried for her. He almost lost her again. He can't let it happen. He can't lose someone close to him.

"I need to go talk to Padme."

Meanwhile

Ahsoka makes it down the temple steps where she sees Jake and the others waiting for her. "Hey, are we ready to go?"

"Change of plans," said Jake as he points towards Rachel. "Lux needs help on writing down a speech that Rick erased from his computer. So, my sis volunteered to help him write a new one."

"For the last time it wasn't my fault!" Rick shouted. "I was just fixing his computer and I accidentally deleted it."

"Anyways," Rachel began. "I'm going to help Lux, while Rick goes with Barriss to pick out some new outfits."

"Wait a minute," said Ahsoka as she turns towards Barriss. "You are going shopping for clothes? Really?"

Barriss's cheeks brighten a little by that comment. It's a good thing she has her hood up, which covered her cheeks.

"I need some after Master Secura told me I might need one for a future undercover mission. Rick volunteered to help."

"Even though he has no sense in fashion," said Rachel still upset that Barriss didn't want her to go shopping with her.

"You don't need fashion to know how to go undercover," Rick explained. "You just need the right clothes to play the part and I know just what to pick."

"And how do you know?" Lux asked while crossing his arms. "Have you ever gone undercover?"

"No," Rick replied. "But, my dad did and he taught me a lot. So let's go my freckle olive colored friend and let's find you some clothes."

Ahsoka snickers by the nickname Rick gave Barriss. "I guess that leaves you and me Jake. What do you want to do?"

"Well, we could go back to the apartment and hang out," Jake suggested.

Ahsoka knew if her master found out he would kill Jake. But, it would be nice to spend some time with Jake alone and hang out.

"Sure, let's get going then."

Endor

Zane walks down the hallway of the command center trying to clear his thoughts. After what happened on Geonosis he asked Alpha to make some upgrades to the Zords so they can't be under control of Damien or anything he makes. He didn't want to risk the lives of the kids. He couldn't risk it.

He makes his way towards a door and lets out a small sigh. Opening the door he looks inside to see the room is dark. Turning on the lights he walks in and walks towards a cryo-tube. He checks the computer and sighs in relief when he sees everything is normal.

He then placed his hand on the tube and tries to smile. "When this is over, I will wake you up."

Zane hears someone coming into the room and looks over. He sees Alpha standing by the door and it got him to calm down.

"How is she?" Alpha asked.

"Fine," Zane replied as he walks away from the cryo-tube. "Sorry, I just wanted to see her. After the week we had."

Alpha nods understanding why his friend came into the room. "Have you told the others about her?"

Zane shook his head. "I want to wait until Damien is gone so I can tell them. I hope it will be soon."

Alpha nods in agreement. "Nathan is here and wants to talk to you."

"I'll be there in a minute," Alpha walks away while Zane looks back at the cryo-tube. "Goodnight."

Jedi Temple

Master Yoda walks down the Jedi temple with Obi Wan discussing about what happened on Geonosis. Not just about the fact that the Separatist has a new ally who they don't know about and has two powerful monsters by his or her side.

But, there is also the fact that they possessed a power than the Jedi have never encountered before. It worried the council and makes them wonder if they can stop this new threat.

"Do you think there is more than what Ahsoka told us?" Obi Wan asked who sensed during the meeting Ahsoka was holding back something, but wasn't sure what it was.

He didn't say anything because he thought the council would sense if. When no one said anything he assumed Master Yoda would figure it out. But, when he didn't Obi Wan assumed that perhaps it was nothing. Still, a part of him did sense she was holding something back.

"Sense it I did," said Master Yoda surprising Kenobi. "Wondering you are why I said nothing before. Good intentions Padawan Tano I'm sure she had for not telling us."

"Do you think it involves the Green Ranger?" Obi Wan asked.

Master Yoda nods his head. "Concern I sense you are." Obi Wan slowly nods his head. "Understand I do, but worry we must not. If a threat the Green Ranger is then why help Padawan Tano?"

Obi Wan knew that was true. If the Green Ranger was working for Torus and Vampira, then why did he help Ahsoka? It wouldn't make much sense for an enemy to help an enemy, unless there was something to gain. But, what would this Green Ranger gain for helping them?

"So, what do you think we should do?"

"Hmmm wait," responds Master Yoda. "Wait and hope our paths will cross."

"Hopefully it will be soon," said Obi Wan.

Senate building

Padme is in her office talking to Anakin who is showing concerns about his Padawan spending too much time with Jake. Padme reassures Anakin that Jake is a good boy and wouldn't dare hurt Ahsoka.

However, Skywalker still has his doubts. He can sense Jake is a good kid, but a part of him thinks he'll end up hurting Ahsoka.

"Anakin, you need to relax," said Padme as she tries to calm her husband down. "I know Jake and he wouldn't dare hurt her. You also need to trust Ahsoka. She knows what she's doing."

"I know," said Anakin who does trust Ahsoka, still. "I just don't want her forming any feelings for him and risk getting kicked out of the Order."

Padme crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow. "I seem to recall a certain Jedi Knight doing that and his secret is still hidden from the Jedi."

Anakin knew who his wife meant. "It's not the same thing."

"Because you're the master and she's the Padawan, right?" Padme gets up and approaches Anakin. "Do you remember that guy Ahsoka met who was a podracer? You thought he was bad and look how that turned out."

Anakin knew his wife had a point. He did assume Kidd was bad and was working for the Separatist. It turns out it was his team that was working for them and he had no clue on what was going on. He saved Ahsoka's life and turned out to be a good kid.

"So trust her and don't worry about her being with Jake," said Padme as she leans forward and kisses Anakin on the cheek. "If they do end up being together we'll help them out. I know you would help her keep her secret from the Order."

Anakin felt a bit relaxed and knew his wife was right. "All right, but if Jake tries anything."

"He won't," the two lean forward as their lips meet and begin kissing passionately.

As they kiss they hear someone clearing their throat. Turning around they see Alexis standing there clapping her hands. "Wow, so that's what a Jedi and a senator look like when they're making out. I have to say bravo."

Endor

Zane enters the chamber room and sees Nathan nearby. Nathan turns around and greets his friend. "Hey, I hope I didn't catch you on a bad time."

Zane shook his head. "It's all right. I'm surprise to see you here. Is everything okay?"

Nathan nods his head. "I came here because I wanted to be sure the Zords have been upgraded?"

"Yes they are," Zane walks over to the control panels and reveals in hologram form the Zords. "I added a special device that will protect them from any kind of control. I also added an upgrade so that if any of the Rangers become possessed or turn evil the Zords will not listen to them."

Nathan lets out a small sigh. "You really think they'll turn?"

Zane shook his head and reassures his friend. "This is just in case Damien finds a way to control them. It's nothing to worry about though, even though it did happen once."

Nathan sighed. "For the last time, that wasn't my fault. How was I supposed to know that Holocron contained an evil spirit?"

"If memory serves me correctly, Alexis told you not to touch it," said Zane recalling how Alexis told Nathan ten times not to touch the crystal they found years ago.

Nathan rolls his eyes as he walks towards the viewing globe. "Still no signs of Damien or his pets?"

"No," Zane walks next to his friend and shows the different planets on the globe. "I have searched everywhere, but I can't seem to find him. We do know he's working with the Separatist, but I'm not sure where he could be hiding."

Nathan looks over the different planets and knew finding Damien is like looking for a needle in a haystack. "You don't think he told the Separatist about us and the Zords right?"

"That is a possibility," said Alpha as he shows a holographic image of the Geonosian mutant worms. "We managed to get an idea about these things that were used to control the Zords. This tech is a combination of Damien and the tech the Separatist use."

"So they do know," said Nathan who didn't like this at all. "This isn't good Zane."

Zane nods in agreement. "I don't think that Damien would tell them everything though. Most likely only Count Dooku knows about the Power Rangers and the Zords, but nothing else."

"That is still bad," said Nathan who is worried what the Sith will do if they fight the kids.

"Don't worry," said Zane reassuring his friend. "If anything happens I will take care of it, trust me."

Nathan nods his head and knew Zane would keep the kids safe if he's not around. "Thanks, think they're ready for Vampira and Torus?"

Zane shook his head. "Not yet, a little more training they'll be ready for Torus. Vampira though, they'll need to work together in order to stop her."

"Is she really that strong?" Nathan asked.

"Yes," Zane replied as he turns towards Alpha. "How goes the restoration of the morpher?"

"I should have it ready soon," Alpha replied.

Zane nods his head and turns towards Nathan again who looks confused. "Remember that idea you and I talked about after the kids left?"

Nathan remembers and smiles. "You want to go for it?"

"Yes, but I need more information before I make my decision," Nathan nods his head and walks towards the control panels. "I just hope the morpher will be ready by then. You have no idea how long it takes to restore these Zords and the power that were used when they are destroyed."

Nathan threw out a guess. "A long time I'm sure. Thanks for doing this."

"Of course," Zane then turns towards the viewing globe. "Tell the Rangers to rest up. I sense Damien is planning something and I don't like it."

"Whatever he is up to it's never good," as Nathan is about to leave he turns around to face his friend. "Do you think the kid is ready for this?"

Zane nods. "From what I have seen, yes. But, I need to have the Morpher and Zord ready."

Rhen Var

A loud scream can be heard echoing all over the planet. The screams continued until they stopped. Moments later the screams can be heard again even louder than before. Following the scream it can be found at Damien's hidden base where he is shocking Torus.

Torus is on his knees while his arms are chained to the ground. Damien continued shocking Torus who lets out a loud scream. Vampira is nearby watching and you can see the look of fear in her eyes. She knows why her master is doing this and is afraid of what will happen if she fails him like Torus did.

Damien stops shocking Torus to let him catch his breath. He is breathing heavily as he slowly lifts his head to face his master. "Master…pl-please fo-forgive m-me."

Damien shook his head in disappointment.

"I gave you a simple order. Use the worms to control the Megazord, destroy the Power Rangers, and wipe out the Clone army. Instead, you decided to play games, give the Rangers time to gain control of their Zords, and you got defeated by the Green Ranger and that little Jedi brat!"

Torus knew he did make a mistake. He just wanted to make the Power Rangers suffer a little. He had a chance to finish them off. But, each time he saw his chance he kept playing around and look what happened.

"I promise…next time I won't fail you," said Torus as he pleads for his master's forgiveness. "Give me another chance. Don't kill me."

"Oh no Torus, I won't kill you," said Damien as he fires a dark electric blast at Torus shocking him. "Death is not punishment enough. You will suffer until I feel you have learned your lesson."

Damien stops as Torus falls to the floor panting. He turns towards the robots and motion for them to approach Torus. They free him from his chains and pick him up. Damien approaches his monster and lifts his head.

"You will spend three days in the Inferno," whispered Damien. "Next time you fail me I will make it a month."

He motions for the robots to take Torus away, while he walks towards his throne. He sits down and lets out a loud groan while rubbing his temples.

Vampira slowly approaches her master so not to upset him. "Is there anything I can do to make you feel better master?"

Damien stops rubbing his temples and faces Vampira. "That depends. Do you have an idea on how to kill the Power Rangers?"

An evil smirk appears across her face. "As a matter of fact, I do."

She helps Damien up and takes him towards the dark globe. There she reveals the planet of Ryloth. Damien sees the robots entering the Republic ships and attacking them. All the while Separatist ships appeared from hyperspace and head towards the planet.

"I have a plan on how to destroy the Power Rangers and this time we won't fail."

Damien is intrigued by this. He walks towards the wall and pulls out another vial with a monster inside. He walks back towards Vampira and hands her the vial. "Remember my dear, failure will get you punished and we both know you burn easily than Torus."

Vampira gulps knowing what her punishment will be if she fails. "Yes my master. I understand and I won't fail."

"Good," said Damien as he walks back to his throne. "See to it that you don't."

Uh oh, what is Vampira up to now? Whatever it is it can't be good. Will the Power Rangers be ready for whatever she is up to? And what is Zane hiding?
