Farore snuggles against the warm body she felt, listening to the heartbeat it was giving off. She felt a pair of strong arms holding her close as if to keep her safe. Farore finally opens her eyes and saw she was press up against Link's chest. She remains still, not wanting to move. She knew they share a bed last night and they must have rolled over in their sleep. Farore had to admit, she liked this feeling. Yeah, she's a Goddess, but this was the first time she felt someone other than her sisters hold her like this. She looks up at her chosen sleeping face and smiles.
'He looks so peaceful when sleeping.' She thought.
Farore sighs. She was still unsure if she should even act on her feelings. After all, she was a goddess, Link was a mortal. However, she did come for Link's help. She heard Link groan and open his eyes. They were unclear at first but notices Farore looking at him.
"Good Morning, Link." She said.
Link smiles. He had a good dream last night. A dream where he and Farore live together in his house, and he became a knight. He would return from his mission and was greeted by Farore, who told him they were going to have a child. Link never thought about spending his life with someone before. Farore cheer him up after he didn't make it into the Hyrule Knights, and she was really nice and friendly.
"Link? Can you let me go now? I'm sure you have chores to take care of." Farore spoke up.
Link blinks and notices he was holding on to Farore. He nods, and removed his hands. He sat up and stretched. Farore follows in suit, having feeling refresh.
'Wow! So this is what it's like to sleep? I feel refresh and ready to go.' She thought.
Link handed her her clothes, and Farore nods.
"Is there somewhere I can get clean? I sure using the stream again is not a good idea." She asked.
Link knew what she meant. He leads her towards a small shack behind his house, and opens the door to show her a huge barrel filled with hot water. Farore looks at him in surprise.
"You thought of everything, huh?" She asked.
Link smiles and decides to let her be. Farore giggles. He was doing so much for her in a short time. She walks into the shack and shuts the door.
Link did his chores and made breakfast. He soon saw Farore step out of the shack dress in her clothes. She even had her long green hair back in her double buns. Farore walks up and smiles at Link.
"Sorry for taking so long. I wanted to put in freshwater for you. I'm sure you'll need it." She said.
Link nods, and looks to go grab some clothes.
"Um, Link?" Farore said, making him look back at her.
"I left some clothes for you in the shack. I hope you don't mind them." She said, hoping he would wear them.
Link was surprised but he nods in thanks. He headed for the shack as Farore sat down and ate. She had to admit, living like this wasn't bad. Link lives out in a field, giving him a view of the field and the night sky. If she could, she would live with Link until the end of time.
'Calm down, Farore. You still have to ask him for help.' She thought.
Link came back a few minutes later, wearing a green tunic with belts around his waist and chest. He had white skintight pants on with brown boots on his feet. He was also wearing brown gloves and a long green pointed hat the hid most of his messy blonde hair. He looks over himself, feeling that he wore these before.
"So, how are they?" Farore asked.
Link smiles. Strange as they were, they felt comfortable. Farore read the look on his face and smiles back.
"It's a gift. I wanted to give it to you after you became a knight. I brought it at Hyrule Market." She said.
In truth, she used her magic to create the tunic. She knew she had to tell Link the truth at some point, but she didn't want him to be overwhelmed by too many things. Not to mention, seeing him that tunic made him look more handsome than she thought.
Farore then sighs. It was time for her to tell a bit of the truth.
"Link? Can I ask you for something?" Farore asked.
Link nods, wondering what she wanted to ask.
"I need your help. My sisters were kidnapped by a man that has dark powers, unlike anything we've seen. We tried to fight him, but he was too strong. I was able to escape and went looking for help. Then I ran into you. You fought the Wolfos and let me stay with you. I know it's been a day, but will you help me save my sisters?" She asked.
Link had to think. Farore's sisters were kidnapped, and she wants his help. Link looks at Farore, who really hopes he would say yes. It might only be a day, but Link was raised to be a kind-hearted person, despite his recklessness at times. He nods, and Farore looks really happy.
"Oh, thank Hyila. I was really worried you would say no." She said.
Link walks up to her and placed a hand on her shoulder. His smile never left his face, and Farore could read it. He wasn't going to turn down her request. Farore smiles as well, feeling her mortal heart skip a beat.
"Well, I better get ready myself. These clothes are not to travel in. These were the only thing I had when I escape from the kidnapper." She said.
Link raised an eyebrow. He didn't remember seeing another pair of clothes.
"I hid them. Like your tunic, I brought them at Hyrule Market." She said.
Link nods, and Farore went to change. Link spots the sword she gave him and picks it up. He places it on his back and grabs his wooden shield. Link wasn't sure what he could do against someone that uses dark magic, but he wasn't going to turn Farore cry for help down.
Link waited for Farore before he spotted her, walking up to him. She had indeed changed her clothes. While she had her brown boots and flower-like bracelets, her green dress was replaced with a blue long vest that open at the bottom to show she was still wearing something under it. She even had a green cloak on her back.
"What do you think?" She asked.
Link was trying not to blush as he nods which Farore smiles at.
"Thanks. Now I know that the kidnapper might be stronger than he appears. Going after him now is a dangerous idea." Farore said, making Link nod.
"I did, however, learn about a way to stop him. It won't be easy, though. I have learned about three temples hidden across Hyrule that could help us. One in the Forest. One near the Mountains. And one under the Lake. I did find the areas it was talking about, but I never had the chance to find them myself. The first one is in the Lost Woods." She said.
Link heard of the Lost Woods. There was some kind of magic that kept people from exploring them. Those with clouded thoughts became lost in them forever. Link never saw a reason to travel into the woods, until now.
"Shall we get going?" Farore asked.
Link nods before noticing that she didn't have a weapon on her. He runs back into his house and returns with a different kind of sword. It was given to him by the Lead Gaurd as a gift and seeing he has the skills to join the Hyrule Knights next year. Link held it out to Farore, who was shocked. She then smiles and took it.
"Thank you," Farore said, smiling.
Link smiles and nods. Farore place the sword on her hip, and soon the two headed towards the Lost Woods.
A bit later...
The hike towards the Lost Woods was a long one. Link wanted to test her sword fighting skills, and she did know a few of them. She stated that she was aware of the dangers and train herself with a sword so she could defend herself. But Link was a whole new level. But Link patted her shoulder, making her smile.
Farore had to admit, she really likes that her chosen was the quiet kind. He'll speak if he has to, but she could easily read his emotions. They kept walking, with Link training her a bit in swordplay. It wasn't long before they reach the entrance to the Lost Woods.
"So, are you ready, Link?" Farore asked.
Link nods, and the two stepped into the Lost Woods. Trees were everywhere, and there was some sunlight shining through them. Link and Farore even turn around to see that entrance seemly disappeared.
"Well, I guess we're lost until the forest lets us out or we find the temple," Farore said.
Link could only nod. He heard tales of this forest and knew he must be careful. Monsters have found themselves in the forest as well. Both Link and Farore look around, and Farore could feel this forest messing with her magic.
'Well, so much for leading the way. This forest is messing up my magic.' She thought.
Link had to think. The forest will only let those with pure hearts through them as he heard from his grandmother. Link closed his eyes and started to clear his mind. He wanted to show the forest he wasn't here for any trouble and wanted to help his friend. Link opens his eyes and spots a young girl with green hair leaning on a tree, smiling at him. Link could almost swear she could pass off as a young version of Farore or maybe her daughter. The Girl nods and walks deeper into the forest.
"Link?" Farore asked, seeing him looking into the trees.
Link ran after the girl, confusing Farore.
"Link! Wait!" She shouted and chase after him.
Link ran into another clearing with trees around them and look for the girl. He spotted her again, walking into a different part of the forest. Farore saw him run off again. They both ran through the Lost Woods, traveling deeper and deeper inside. Finally, they both stepped out into a different clearing. They could see a huge temple that have broken stairs leading to a sealed door. They both walk up to it before seeing the young girl Link was chasing. She had a leaf to her lips and was playing a song. She stops and looks at them.
"The Temple of Courage awaits you." She said before fading away.
Link and Farore felt the ground shake and saw giant roots appear out of the ground. They form into a set of stairs before the shaking stopped. The Sealed door then opens, letting them enter the temple.
Link and Farore look at each other and nod. They both climb up the steps, ready to face the challenges inside the temple.
Okay, now we come to the hard part for me. Coming up with puzzles for Link and Farore to complete. So three temples, one in the Forest, one near the mountains, and one in the lake. Forest, Fire, and Water. All three of these temples will appear in all three of my Zelda story, but I plan on changing the temples each time the others visit them.
Yeah, they're back. I canceled them at first because I was barely getting anything from people, making me believe I don't have any Zelda Fans. But after getting over it, I end up placing them on hold instead. But if I'm still barely getting anything, then I won't update this or the others in a long time. I know there are Zelda Fans on Fanfiction. Please, read them!
