The next morning as Alexis is sleeping she feels someone fall onto her and wakes up to see Ian.
"Um not that I mind the company but do me a favor and get off." Alexis says as she and Ian blush.
"Oh heh. Sorry." Ian says as he gets off Alexis as the group gets out of the van.
"Aww. Well at least my little brother has made friends with a pretty girl." Barley says as Ian blushes.
"Me? Pretty? Hardly. Besides I'm nobody's type anyway. Come on. I know the way the trail. Follow me." Alexis says as the boys follow her.
*Timeskip*
"So how long have you been working at the Manticore Tavern?" Barley asks.
"Not long. A couple months. It was just temporary. I wanted to move and find a better place to live. Living alone gets kinda lonely." Alexis says as the boys look at her curiously.
"You live alone?" Ian asks in surprise.
"Yep. Have for a long time." Alexis says before a police car pulls up and a man steps out.
"You guys... are in trouble big time." The man says.
"No, no, no Colt. We found a spell. If we finish it before sunset we'll get to see our father." Barley says.
"Well uh your mom told me there was some kind of strange family issue going on and this is definitely strange. But no dang it. I'm not letting you upset your mother anymore. Now you get in the vehicle I'm escorting you home." Colt says.
"Uh who is this guy?" Alexis asks.
"No. No way." Barley says.
"I'm giving you to the count of three." Colt says sternly.
"Okay we'll go. He's a police officer." Ian says as the group gets into the vehicle.
"Uh Ian? What are you planning?" Alexis asks.
"I don't know." Ian says as he hits the gas on the vehicle taking off.
"Whoa!" Alexis says as she goes flying in the back seat.
"Yeah! Iandore Lightfoot breaking the rules." Barley says as the group drives away from the cops while sacrificing the car in doing so.
